My ideas on how pressure works
* Warning: I am not a professional, this is just a speculation based on info found online *
While looking up about commotio cordis, I learned that mechanical stress on cardiac muscle causes it to discharge an electrical signal, disrupting the electrical activity of the heart.
I thought that since pressure is causing mechanical stress on the heart, the reason why pressure causes irregular heartbeats follows a similar principle.
Irregular beats can be divided into two categories, and I will speculate why pressure causes each type of irregular beat.
1. Atrial ectopic beat
These are caused by abnormal electrical signals from the atrium. Pressure disrupts blood flow in the heart. And I think because the walls of the atria are thin, disruptions in blood flow can cause abnormal stretching of the atria walls, causing them to release abnormal electrical signals. These cause atrial ectopic beats, such as PACs, and if you’re lucky, SVT.
2. Ventricular ectopic beat
These are caused by abnormal electrical signals coming from the ventricles. Normally I don’t get much of these with light pressure, so I think that you need heavy pressure to create the sufficient mechanical stress to make the ventricles misfire. This causes PVCs and VT.
I also think that by controlling the amount and location of pressure, you can control what kind of irregular heartbeat you get. With light pressure near the base of the heart, to screw with blood flow, you get PACs and SVT. With heavy pressure on the ventricles(near the apex), you get PVCs and VT.
These are just my thoughts on how pressure works. This may be totally wrong, so don’t take it too seriously.

🧇 and 🐺!
answering these in the opposite order because i think it'll flow better, so im gonna answer the wolf emoji (fav characters) first.
spencer is an obvious favorite; it is my muse, my babygirl, a warped reflection of myself. i cant wait to post my next spencer drawings.
other favs include mabeline, sally, toast (the wolf emoji made me think of him :3) and chris (colon) actually! i'll admit the last one is mostly just for the same reason i'm a trekkie and a digimon fan instead of a star wars or pokemon fan. its not just that i wanna be different, i genuinely want to give this underdeveloped or fandom neglected character some attention !!! plus i just like characters i think r cool.
for the other one, i would like to bring to attention some facts from the trivia section of spencer's fandom wiki page.
starting under the cut
Tumblr media
i know we dont like to talk about that guy on here for obvious reasons but i thought this was cute. fuck jordan, this is true of me, actually
Tumblr media
saw someone draw him wearing a league of legends tshirt recently and im here to send the record STRAIGHT
Tumblr media
i thought these two being next to eachother was funny. i dont think ppl necessarily forget he has OCD, but i like bringing it up because i have OCD and i can very easily imagine spencer suffering from the symptoms i experience.
i really like the sentence "spencer was swallowed by giant dirt worms under the old house" :( vt equivalent of Tortured and punished by the ogre
Tumblr media
important notes for anyone writing something involving the acachalla house
Tumblr media
hes literally the joker
Tumblr media
this part is my favorite cause it always gives me the ol 1-2.
1) joking about fictional characters committing tax fraud or evasion is kinda overplayed now but what i find funny about this is that spencer has never been portrayed as an adult over 18 so why WOULD he be paying taxes...
2) the part of the video in question is one of my favorite venturiantale moments hands down. spencer's infatuation with mabeline and fixation on her gender presentation is very 🏳️‍🌈❓️ like the screenshot says, the implication is that he's bi and attracted to her but it could very easily also be read as him realizing hes nonbinary via gender envy. like
Tumblr media
to me spencer is bisexual AND nonbinary but he doesnt really know/accept it yet. i mean i feel like hes fully realized his gender cause hes trans anyways but i think he would struggle to accept himself as not straight.
Tumblr media
where is the fanart of them interacting PLEASSSE IT WOULD BE SO FUNNY i've drawn them together but it wasnt a good drawing thats why i didnt post it

Personal head canon that the Pale King looks regal and composed, when he remembers to. The rest of the time, he’s a giant over-enthusiastic nerd. If there is something new, the mask of king slips off to reveal the face of a child you just presented a new toy to. With the same level of self control and social decorum.  He also has a bad habit of overthinking, which causes him to question things halfway through a lecture, which confuses the audience, which leads to a first lesson that will forever taint the concept with confusion and uncertainty. So, Pure Vessel will never have a great understanding of time. And Pale King will forever be ashamed of this failing.

Releasing the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee's findings on the prices of weight loss drugs in the United States, Sen. Bernie Sanders on Wednesday ramped up pressure on a Danish pharmaceutical company to lower the "outrageously high" prices of Ozempic and Wegovy, warning that the current pricing could bankrupt the country's healthcare system.
As chairman of the Senate HELP Committee, Sanders (I-Vt.) is leading an investigation into Novo Nordisk's weight loss drug pricing, and the report published Wednesday is the result of modeling his staff completed to show how the medications' exorbitant prices could impact prescription drug pricing across the United States.
The committee found that if half of all U.S. adults with obesity took Wegovy and other diabetes drugs that have recently been approved for weight loss, it could cost $411 billion per year. In 2022, Americans spent $406 billion on all retail prescription drugs.
Medicare and Medicaid would spend an estimated $166 billion per year on the medications if half of the programs' patients used them, rivaling the $175 billion the programs spent on prescription drugs in 2022.
"Today's report makes it crystal clear: The outrageously high price of Wegovy and other weight loss drugs have the potential to bankrupt Medicare and our entire health care system," said Sanders.
The projected costs are a far cry from what patients in Denmark and other European countries would pay for the same drugs.
Americans currently pay $969 per month for Ozempic and $1,349 per month for Wegovy. While the two drugs have the same active ingredient, the former is typically used to treat Type 2 diabetes and the latter is for weight loss and management.
Ozempic costs just $155 in Canada, $71 in France and $59 in Germany. Danish patients pay just $186 per month for Wegovy, while the medication costs $137 in Germany and $92 in the U.K.
Sanders' report says that Novo Nordisk's prices are "especially egregious" considering the fact that the company could make a profit off manufacturing them for less than $5 per month.
"The unjustifiably high prices of these weight loss drugs could also cause a massive spike in prescription drug spending that could lead to an historic increase in premiums for Medicare and everyone who has health insurance," said the senator. "There is no rational reason, other than greed, for Novo Nordisk to charge Americans struggling with obesity $1,349 for Wegovy when this same exact product can be purchased for just $186 in Denmark."
The report cites the North Carolina state health plan's decision last month to end coverage for Wegovy and similar medications.
The plan administrators "estimated that continuing coverage for Wegovy at its current price would require them to double insurance premiums. Faced with impossible choices, the health plan eliminated coverage," reads the report.
The reason nearly 20,000 teachers and other state employees in North Carolina lost access to the drugs, the report emphasizes, "was not because there were not enough drugs to meet demand, but because Novo Nordisk refused to lower prices to make those drugs widely available."
Thirty-five state Medicaid programs do not cover the medications at all, the HELP Committee noted, due to the price.
"As important as these drugs are, they will not do any good for the millions of patients who cannot afford them," reads the report. "Further, if the prices for these products are not substantially reduced, they have the potential to bankrupt Medicare, Medicaid, and our entire healthcare system."
The committee found that if Novo Nordisk made the U.S. price of Wegovy equal to what Danish patients pay, the healthcare system could pay for new weight loss drugs for 100% of adults with obesity annually for less than what it costs to cover just 25% of those patients at the current drug prices.
The healthcare system would save up to $317 billion per year, according to the committee's modeling.
The report was released days after Sanders appealed to the Danish government in the pages of one of the country's largest newspapers, Politiken, calling on officials to force Novo Nordisk to lower U.S. prices.
Tumblr media
"As many Danes may know, I have long admired the welfare system that has been built up in Denmark," wrote Sanders. "When I was a candidate for the presidency, I often pointed out that the United States could learn a lot from Denmark in terms of access to healthcare and education, as well as respect for the environment and workers' rights. There is a reason why Denmark is considered one of the happiest places on Earth in international surveys. The Danish people should be proud of what you have managed to achieve."
"So now I want to appeal to the people of Denmark and the charitable foundation that owns this hugely profitable company," he continued. "Help the American people do something about the epidemic of obesity and diabetes we are facing."
Pelle Dragsted, a member of Danish Parliament for the Red-Green Alliance and a democratic socialist, applauded Sanders' op-ed.
"Healthcare is a human right," said Dragsted on Monday. "Having an illness should never be the ruin of anyone. Our message to Novo Nordisk is clear: Choose basic decency and social responsibility over profit—lower your prices in the U.S."

Regrading Taskmaster: S05E01 Dignity intact.
*Score changes noted in parenthesis.
Yaaaay. I love Series Five and I'm super excited to be here. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what this regrade is going to look like because I don't know if I have a great read on the contestants before I actually break it down. I am pretty sure I'm not going to have Nish winning the series.
If I remember accurately, this series feels like it is higher than average on the subjective tasks, which explains Bob winning and causes any score changes I make to be a bit more dubious. But enough exposition, let's crack on.
Prize Task: Something That Makes the Most Excellent Noise
Opera singer wins. It has to. Bringing in a real person is usually great and it set up the greatest closing credits the show has done. Air horns make an excellent noise in certain contexts. I don't think isolating it and listening to it for the sake of it constitutes one of those contexts.
Nish has a grating laugh . . . but it's one you learn to love throughout this series. Sally's thing only makes a good noise if you're above 24 and you want people younger than 24 to hear an unpleasant noise (I don't particularly hate people under 24). Bob's bird tube doesn't sound like a bird, but it's kind of a fun noise regardless.
Tumblr media
Aisling: 2 (-1) Bob: 3 (+1) Mark: 5 (0) Nish: 4 (+3) Sally: 1 (-3)
VT 01: Give Alex a special cuddle.
I'm defining "special" as unique, so there's plenty of room for interpretation. I think for the most part these are strong efforts. Like Greg, I am struggling whether Nish or Mark should come in last. No ties, so I'd have to put Nish above Mark because the Mark attempted to pursue a more traditional understanding of cuddling.
Bob's cuddle occurs in a weird setting, but the content of the cuddle seemed fairly pedestrian assuming nothing crazy happened in that car trunk. I'm bumping Aisling up because she dressed up as a robot and sang a crazy, yet catchy, song. Sally's cuddle defies explanation and included shoving cake into Alex's armpits so it's getting the five.
Tumblr media
Aisling: 4 (+1) Bob: 3 (-2) Mark: 1 (-1) Nish: 2 (0) Sally: 5 (+1)
VT 02: Get Alex onto dry land as elegantly as possible. Alex must remain dry.
It seems like Greg hears the task incorrectly. The task, as read, makes no mention of speed and therefore, elegance alone should be the deciding factor provided that Alex is on land within twenty minutes.
Aisling is adorable in this task, but she takes off her pants, gets into the water, and spends most of the time throughout berating Alex. Mark is similar and doesn't take off his pants, but for some reason that makes me more uncomfortable?
Bob has some unsuccessful ideas before arriving at one that works. Sally poles the boat like a punt causing it to go in circles for awhile, but it looks nice. Nish by far has the most elegant solution and I'm willing to forgive that he exposes his butt accidentally.
Tumblr media
Aisling: 1 (-2) Bob: 2 (0) Mark: 3 (+2) Nish: 5 (0) Sally: 4 (0)
VT 03: Get the basketball through the hoop. You may not touch the basketball with you hands. You may not wear gloves or anything that could be reasonably construed as glove.
This is a strict disqualification condition. It doesn't forbid things that could be reasonably defined as gloves, but rather reasonably construed as gloves. Some might make the argument that anything that covers the hands are gloves.
Anyway, even Sally knew she was getting disqualified before it started. Upon review, it really looks like Mark touched the ball when he drops the bucket, but the edit cuts just quickly enough to cast some doubt. Somehow Nish managed two points.
Tumblr media
Aisling: 3 Bob: 5 Mark: 4 Nish: 2 Sally: DQ
Live Task: Get one item of fruit into the fishbowl. You may not leave or move your chair. You may not throw your fruit.
Much as one would do in lacrosse, Mark absolutely throws his fruit into that fishbowl. Aisling doesn't finish, but the task has no time limit so Alex blew it dead prematurely.
Tumblr media
Aisling: 2 (+1) Bob: 5 (+1) Mark: DQ (-5) Nish: 4 (+1) Sally: 3 (+1)
Final
Baaaaahhhhhbbbb Mortimerrrrrrrr~~
Tumblr media
Aisling: 12 (-1) Bob: 18 (0) Mark: 13 (-4) Nish: 17 (+4) Sally: 13 (-1)

Morbius II
Here we are again to talk about the first five issues of Vampire Tales specifically the five Morbius stories! I know I keep saying it but these horror comics are enthralling and engrossing in the best way. Plus, following a villain is a lot more interesting than your run-of-the-mill superheroes. I did some research after noticing the non-existent stamp of the Comics Code Authority and found out (thanks Wikipedia) that since Vampire Tales was published as a magazine it didn’t fall under their judgement. Which is why there’s more violence and all around edgier content in VT than most Marvel comics of that era. After reading these five issues, Morbius has definitely jumped up the list of my favorite Spidey villains. Morbius’ struggle for humanity in the face of his endless need to feed on humanity makes him so interesting to me. I love the writing here because they manage to keep Morbius villainous and yet put forth other villains for him to face that make you root for him. The art is all in black-and-white but I think it really suits the horror genre and makes it feel like a 30’s universal horror film. My experience with black-and-white comics are really only with manga or The Walking Dead series.
Tumblr media
“Morbius”
Steve Gerber wrote the first Morbius story in Vampire Tales #1 and Pablo Marcos did the art which looked absolutely beautiful with an eerie sinister undertone with a bit of watercolor effects. I love the fact that these comics actually have blood, because seeing the bites happen makes it more horrific. Also Morbius is seriously terrifying to look at. Morbius is searching for his love Martine and meets a girl named Carolyn so she leads him to Madame Laera who might be able to find out her location. They look through a crystal ball and Morbius sees Martine stabbed through the chest and throws the crystal ball shattering it. A demon named Nilrac is freed and fights Morbius but Michael defeats it. He tries to feed on it but finds there’s no blood so he attacks Laera and feeds on her, killing her. Carolyn, a child of Satan, is fascinated by this and takes Morbius to her place. Morbius leaves so that he doesn’t feed on her. I liked the fight with Nilrac but it wasn’t anything special. The best part of this issue was how good of a vehicle it served for Morbius and it even references previous stuff we had seen in Marvel Team-Up with the X-Men. I love how the story opens on an unsuspecting person walking down LA and they look up and just see Morbius pouncing them. Another thing that is referenced several times (and it’s a little unbelievable) is the fact that Morbius looks like a bat faced crazy man and when people ask him why he’s wearing a mask, he always says, it’s not a mask. It’s funny but I don’t buy the fact that people just think it’s a mask. One of the things that make Morbius so interesting is the idea that he doesn’t want to feed on people and when he does, he hates himself for it. He’s got a piece of humanity but he just can’t fight his hunger. He’s of course a monster but there’s something else there too.
Tumblr media
“The Blood Sacrifice of Amanda Saint!”
The next Morbius story in Vampire Tales #2 was written by Don McGregor and pencilled by Rich Buckler and inked by Pablo Marcos. I love the title page (pictured above) with a bat serving as the background but at the same time resembling the shape of a human heart. One technical issue I had with this scan on Marvel Unlimited was the fact that some of the lettering was hard to read and there was like a pixelated look to some of the images. I don’t blame the art cause I think it’s just a digital scan issue. Anyways, Morbius decided on his next victim Amanda Saint, who has also been chosen by a satanic cult named Demon-Fire as a sacrifice. Morbius leaps down, feeds on one of her would-be captors and stops the kidnapping, saving his victim from her fate. There’s a cool fight that he has with one of the cloaked figures who’s wields a scythe. Morbius disarms him and then runs away with Amanda. They come to her house and her sister, Catherine is waiting for her. We find out that Amanda is with a man named Justin and he planned for her to get kidnapped and sacrificed but Morbius stopped it. Catherine looks an awful like a female masked figure that we saw earlier in the issue (we find out in a later issue that her sister was that figure). Justin has roommates who are involved in drugs (which comes back later). Morbius feeds on a taxi driver and Amanda gets kidnapped by Demon-Fire. Morbius tries to stop it but is thrown out of a two-story window and is forced to flee.
Tumblr media
“Demon Fire”
The third Morbius story was written by Don McGregor and pencilled by Rich Buckler and inked by Klaus Janson. This issue had the same technical problem as the last one where the digital scan made some of the lettering hard to read. Morbius heads to the place where the cult took Amanda and finds a coffin that serves as a secret entrance to an underground lair. We get the Catherine reveal here along with Justin revealing himself to Amanda. At the top of the atrium in this underground lair is a giant demonic spider named Arachne with which they sacrifice people to. It’s quite ironic that Morbius fights a spider in this issue with his superhero nemesis being Spider-Man. I loved how creepy and sinister the black and white art added to the giant spider. It webs Michael and takes a bite but then runs away dying from whatever is in Morbius’ blood. The spider’s death throes cause the whole lair to start falling apart and Morbius escapes with Amanda as the whole cult is crushed except for sweet, silly Justin. We get an epilogue of police brutality. They were trying to hit Justin’s drug dealing friend but instead hit Justin and it ends with the cops dragging his unconscious body out of the apartment. Overall I dug this issue a lot. It’s ironic that Amanda is saved by the vampire who wanted to feed on her. It’s also funny that she didn’t know everyone around her was involved in a cult (including her mother and sister and boyfriend). I really felt bad for the taxi driver who was in the midst of a Watergate rant when he was killed by Michael. It’s also interesting that Amanda has no idea Morbius is a vampire even though he’s leaping and moving with obvious powers and he has a bat face. I just find that unbelievable. I get that she’s often not paying much attention or indisposed every time but I really feel like she should’ve known by the time she actually does find out.
Tumblr media
“Lighthouse of the Possessed”
This issue in Vampire Tales #4 was written by Don McGregor and pencilled and inked by Tom Sutton. This issue opens with one of the most brutal kills Morbius does in these issues yet (pictured above). They really do a great job of showing that you’re reading a story about a villain. Morbius with Amanda has started staying at a boarding house. There’s a really weird eugenics mention after Morbius sees two grotesque people living there. I was taken aback but then I remembered that Michael is a murderous psycho so whatever. We also meet two characters one named Brock Kilbride an idealistic politically minded guy and his friend Arlene Randolph who spends both issues trying to make Brock see that the politician, Duke Mannery isn’t what he seems. We also meet another sect of Demon-Fire but this time they are led by a mysterious being called Blood-Tide. We also meet Amanda’s mother who was mentioned before having her husband leave her because she was a member of a cult (Demon-Fire) but there’s a reveal about that later. Amanda is prattling on and on about politics to Morbius but they are interrupted by Oliver barging in trying to cut them with his hook hand. Morbius throws him out of a window and he’s cut by shards of glass. Morbius with his bloodlust taking over feeds on poor Oliver. Amanda sees him and realizes he’s a vampire and freaks out. This is a big reveal but again, it makes Amanda seem kinda dumb for not already figuring it out. She runs out the door right into an axe swing from Mrs. Agnes. They are then mobbed by seafarers who are trying to kill them. At this point they run into Brock and Arlene knocking them over as they are chased by a giant mob of people. Mrs. Agnes catches Morbius still swinging her axe. Morbius flings the axe away and then slams Agnes’ head into the axe. It’s definitely the most brutal death in these five issues for sure. Morbius takes off Mrs. Agnes’ mask and it’s revealed to be Amanda’s mom. Like a true scoundrel, Morbius takes her wedding band and plans on giving it to Amanda someday. Lots of action in this issue and also plenty of dirty deeds done by Morbius. Reading these issues really makes me realize that while they call Man-Thing a monster or Jack Russell a monster, the real monster here is Morbius. You guys know I see him as a tragic figure but he is a murderer who constantly feeds on innocents (also bad people). I also appreciate the idea that is he trying to save Amanda to wipe out the stain of all the evil he’s done as a living vampire? It’s a good question.
Tumblr media
“Blood Tide!”
The next Morbius story from Vampire Tales #5 was written by Don McGregor and pencilled by Rich Buckler and inked by Ernie Chua (he was also credited under Ernie Chan in his career). I gotta start off by saying the art is the best in this issue out of the five stories. The scan was fantastic and I had no issues reading this one (same with the last one). Morbius and Amanda see a film and get attacked by Blood-Tide! Brock and Arlene investigate a shadowy figure who works with the politician and it leads them to the same theater. There’s a cool moment where Blood-Tide and Morbius fight behind the screen and he tosses Morbius through the projection. There’s a moment where he’s about to pierce Michael with his staff but Brock kicks him in the head and leads Morbius and Amanda out of the theater. In a conversation with Arlene and Brock we get another moment where Morbius tells them it’s his face that looks like that not a mask. I’m starting to like this throughline joke. They follow The Godfather character to outside the lighthouse and Morbius decides to be stealthy and try to sneak into the lighthouse. There’s a cool fight between Morbius and Blood-Tide!
Tumblr media
Blood-Tide has a really cool design with glowing eyes that seem to control people. There seems to be merit because of the mob of people who all want to kill Morbius and Amanda. He uses his gaze to freeze Morbius in place and is about to stab him with his staff when Brock distracts him. Morbius takes advantage of the distraction (he’s also freed from the gaze) by throwing one of the cult members out of the lighthouse window. He takes down Blood-Tide and unmasks him revealing him to be Duke Mannery the politician that Brock believed in. The guy is so taken aback and disgusted that he doesn’t realize that Duke has a pistol. In another gruesome kill, Brock has his brains blown out.
Tumblr media
I was shocked by the gore in this moment but we did see Amanda’s mom get axed in the head last ish so maybe I shouldn’t have been so surprised. I actually felt bad for Brock cause he did seem like he had his heart in the right place just supported the wrong guy. I will say that I’m not super into the Scooby Doo type reveals with both Blood-Tide and Mrs. Agnes. I feel like that trope got overused in this story especially in such quick succession. Overall though, Vampire Tales was a fun read and definitely the goriest, bloodiest and darkest Marvel comics I’ve read from this era so far. Marvel does horror really well. Like I said, I’m glad it’s not colored cause the black and white art adds so much to the horror genre. I’d love to read a black and white Man-Thing comic now. Next up we’re back to Adventure Into Fear #17-18! Thanks for reading this whole thing. I hope you enjoyed my moronic thoughts about funny books!

voice likely characterized by the radicals s (causative), t (some kind of passive), m (some kind of passive)
Verb system mostly characterized by two aspect stems; a likely unmarked perfective and a likely marked imperfect with an infix reduplicating the second radical consonant.
Tense is usually secondary.
Mood systems tend to reflect what's areal, since this is built off tense. But it's likely that many of the north-African "areal" features originate in AA itself given that Egyptian already built some weird VT periphrastic verbal constructions in ways that are common to north Africa, like how it probably used "say" as an auxiliary building the new jn perfective
Case can't really be reconstructed. The suffix conjugation might be obliquely related to the prefixing, with the prefixes reflecting an original ergative system. Likely evolved from a marked nominative language with the associated features like VSO. This is also why it's so heavily fusional, like many native American languages.
There's usually a focus pronoun system, often repurposed, perhaps from the absolute case of the pronouns.
Vowel systems tend to be underlyingly simple. Often 3 or 5 vowel systems with associated vowel harmony effects. There's usually 3 series of stops, one with a secondary dorsal phonation, sometimes ejective, sometimes ingressive, sometimes uvular, sometimes pharyngeal, sometimes something else entirely.
Of course there's vocabulary and sound correspondences. E.g. Amazigh *s sometimes corresponds to Semitic *ħ in palatal environments, maybe indicating a pAA consonant like uvular x. The Egyptian T and D are pretty transparently from ki and qi (with gi just becoming /j/). Etc.

This Post Contains Spoilers for the Spare Parts VN
Okay so I’ve been thinking a lot about how to fix some of Melanie’s most pressing technical problems.
Disclaimers:
1. I recognize that the problems the characters face in @spareparts-vn’s story are plot devices and not actual technical problems that need to be solved. But I’m gonna do it anyway. >:3
2. I’m a mechanical engineer and not an electrical engineer (and certainly not a magic android engineer), so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.
Technical Solutions:
1. The VN states that Melanie’s batteries themselves aren’t the problem, right? The way her body is wired just causes them to charge slowly. So... Get this girl multiple batteries! Swap them out whenever they’re low and charge them when they’re outside of her. Unless her body actively damages the batteries’ charging capability, this should be doable. I know 01 mentions trying this, but she didn’t actually explain why the batteries couldn’t be charged separately.
2. Give Melanie a plug and a DC adapter that splices into her battery ports for emergencies. She can pretend to be charging her phone or something. I know the story states that the robots can definitely definitely only be charged in their special VT-brand charging pods, but - unless the batteries use something other than electricity - there’s not actually any reason that should be the case.
3. Have 01 install an emergency cooling system in Melanie’s body. Her nose has no function. There’s likely not a lot of internal real estate to work with, but it might be possible to run metal tubing from her nose to a heat exchanger near her EI core so it can be rapidly cooled in the event of an emergency. 01 could then disguise a tank of liquid nitrogen as a mobile CPAP machine (with tubes that she can insert into her nose), and then Melanie could wheel it around with her and brush it off as a means to manage a chronic illness. It’s not a perfect solution, but it would afford her slightly more freedom, and it would keep her from literally dying in a coffee shop.
4. Give the robot girl cataplexy. I know it sounds weird, but bear with me. The robots feel tired when their batteries are low, right? Well, that should be a super easy signal to fake! 01 could rewire Melanie’s “low battery” signal to both her battery and her thermometer, and set it to output a signal as a function of temperature. Then, whenever Melanie's emotions spike too high and her EI core overheats, she’d just fall asleep! It even mimics a human condition, so it would be possible to explain to non-robots. Again, not ideal. But! Again! It would keep her from literally dying in a coffee shop.
5. I suspect that 02 doesn’t actually hate the outside world (and instead probably just has a crush on Violet) but if she truly doesn’t like being in real-world space, she could swap her chest with Melanie so she feels more comfortable in her own body. Would she agree to this? Probably not. But it should be technically feasible.
To whomever may read this, thank you for listening to me rant about how to help fictional robot girls achieve their dreams of safety and independence.

HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
August 5, 2022 (Friday
On this day in 1861, President Abraham Lincoln signed into law a new tax law to help fund the United States government during the Civil War. Far more than writing a traditional revenue act to address the catastrophic war that had demonstrated its horrors just two weeks earlier at the Battle of Bull Run, Congress deliberately constructed the law to shift ownership of the American government away from the bankers who had previously provided Treasury funds, to the American people.
Over the next four years, the Republican Congress would put taxes on virtually every product in the country and then, to guarantee that “the burdens will be more equalized on all classes of the community, more especially on those who are able to bear them,” as Senate Finance Committee chair William Pitt Fessenden (R-ME) put it, they invented the nation’s first income tax. In 1861, Congress levied a 3% tax on income over $800; in 1862, concerned that the level of  taxation necessary to pay for the war would be too much for most Americans to bear, Congress placed a general tax at 3% and created a progressive income tax.
It taxed income over $600 at 3% and income over $10,000 at 5%. “The weight must be distributed equally,” Representative Justin Smith Morrill (R-VT) said, “not upon each man an equal amount, but a tax proportionate to his ability to pay.” In 1864, Congress revised those numbers upward. They put general taxes at 5% and raised the income tax brackets to 5% for income from $600 to $5,000 and 7.5% for income from $5,000 to $10,000.
Morrill thought it was important for the federal government to collect the tax directly to illustrate that people were supporting the United States of America, not individual states, as they might think if states collected the taxes. The federal government had a right to “demand” 99% of a man’s property for an urgent necessity, he said. When the nation required it, “the property of the people…belongs to the Government.”
Indeed, the new taxes cemented loyalty to the United States. With their money behind the war effort, Americans became more and more committed to their cause. As the war costs mounted, far from objecting to taxes, Americans asked their congressmen to raise them, out of concern about the growing national debt. In 1864, Senator John P. Hale (R-NH) said: “The condition of the country is singular…I venture to say it is an anomaly in the history of the world. What do the people of the United States ask of this Congress? To take off taxes? No, sir, they ask you to put them on. The universal cry of this people is to be taxed.”
Enlisting more than 2 million soldiers and sailors into the war effort, moving them, equipping them, and arming them eventually cost the United States more than $5 billion. Taxes paid for about 21% of that cost.
This day in history seems relevant again in 2022 as today’s Republicans stand united against the Inflation Reduction Act. This new bill, announced by Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on July 27, will invest $386 billion into addressing climate change and new energy development, and $100 billion in new health care spending, including extending subsidies for the Affordable Care Act. The measure will raise about $790 billion in savings and revenue over a decade. It will save money by enabling Medicare to negotiate the prices for certain prescription drugs and by beefing up funding for the IRS to enforce existing tax laws. It also will raise revenue by requiring corporations to pay a minimum tax of 15%. The measure is projected to raise about $50 billion a year for 9 years, which will be used to reduce the federal deficit by $300 billion.
Last night, Arizona senator Kyrsten Sinema, the last Democratic holdout on the bill, said she would support it if leaders added drought money for Arizona and removed the carried interest loophole that lowers taxation for certain wealthy hedge fund managers. The carried interest loophole would have raised $14 billion, but Democrats instead added a 1% tax on stock buybacks, which is expected to make up that money.
The measure is expected to pass the House but can make it through the Senate only because Democrats will pass it under the system known as reconciliation, which cannot be filibustered. Republicans are dead set against the measure, although all of its pieces are widely popular. Indeed, the Inflation Reduction Act seems to reflect the sort of government the Republicans constructed during the Civil War: one that answered to the American people, and one in which the government is making an effort to distribute the costs of that government among people according to their ability to pay.
Today’s Republicans reject the idea. Instead, echoing Republican rhetoric since the 1980s, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has taken the position that taxes do not build the country, but destroy it. He says that Democrats “want to pile on giant tax hikes that will hammer workers and kill many thousands of American jobs.”
And yet, in the Wall Street Journal, Princeton economics professor Alan S. Blinder, who served as vice chair of the Federal Reserve from 1994 to 1996, points out that the proposed tax changes “are tiny compared with the Trump tax cuts,” which “slashed the top corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and allowed more items to be expensed.”
What is at stake in this contest is the same issue Republicans grappled with in the 1860s, guaranteeing that “the burdens [of taxation] will be more equalized on all classes of the community, more especially on those who are able to bear them.” Now, though, it is the Democrats taking up that cause.
The Senate will work on the bill this weekend.
The introduction of the Inflation Reduction Act caps what has turned out to be a spectacular week for the Biden administration. Jobs numbers out today showed not the downturn that many expected, but instead the addition of 528,000 new jobs, restoring the U.S. job numbers to where they were before the pandemic and putting unemployment at 3.5%, the lowest rate in 50 years. The United States Chips and Science Act (CHIPS) and the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act (PACT) have both passed Congress. The president authorized and troops achieved the killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. And gas prices have hit a 50-day low.

‘Unprecedented Greed’: Sanders Slams Moderna After Company Confirms $130 Price for Covid Jab
After seemingly claiming earlier this year that it would drop plans to dramatically hike the price of its SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, Moderna said on Wednesday that the price of the shot would increase from $26 per dose to $130.
“We tried to think very reasonably about the price of this, and I think we’ve landed on a price that is consistent with value,” Moderna President Stephen Hoge told federal lawmakers at a Wednesday hearing of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
He added that the price could change depending on circumstances, and that the company was open to financing programs for uninsured patients to afford the jab.
That hearing was called by committee chair US Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who denounced Moderna’s planned price hike as “an unprecedented level of corporate greed.”
“As soon as Moderna started to receive billions of dollars from the federal government, Mr. Bancel literally became a billionaire overnight and is now worth over $4 billion. He was also able to secure a golden parachute for himself worth another $926 million after he leaves the company. But let’s be clear: Mr. Bancel is not alone,” Sanders said at the hearing, referring to Moderna CEO Steve Bancel.
“None of these four individuals were billionaires before the taxpayers of our country funded the Covid-19 vaccine,” he said, adding that Moderna was “thanking the taxpayers of the US by proposing to quadruple the price of the Covid vaccine to as much as $130 once the government stockpile runs out.”
Via partnerships with the National Institutes of Health and other federal agencies, vaccine makers Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson received a total of $12 billion in taxpayer money for research, development, and procurement of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. In all, the federal government has spent more than $30 billion, including the purchasing contracts.
Bancel defended the price hike at the hearing, telling lawmakers, “we feel we have honored the support we got and then paid it back and then some.”
“After losing money for 10 years, Moderna created a vaccine that helped end the pandemic. We were able to move quickly because of a decade of private investment in our mRNA platform and because of a decision in 2016 to build a manufacturing plant in Massachusetts,” Bancel said.
Until now, the three companies have made shots under a series of massive contracts with the US government and the governments of several other nations who sought to inoculate their entire populations against the virus. In those contracts, Moderna charged the US between $15 and $26 per vaccine dose, with full inoculation being a two-dose series. Later, the US bought several rounds of booster shots as well.
According to Bancel, the new pricing scheme of $130 per shot reflects what the company expects to be a 90% drop in sales volume later this year. In its 2022 fourth quarter earning reports last month, Moderna reported a 70% drop in profits.
When the price hike was announced in January, Sanders sent Bancel a letter urging him to lower the price. After Sanders used his power as Senate health committee chief to call on Bancel to testify last month, Moderna announced that the vaccine would remain available “at no cost” to patients regardless of insured status.
“Everyone in the United States will have access to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine regardless of their ability to pay,” the company said.
At the time, many assumed this was a reversal of their price hike, but at the Wednesday hearing it became clear that the February statement was in fact simply a reference to the shot being covered by health insurance plans and Moderna offering a “patient assistance program” for uninsured recipients.
'Significant Opportunity' For Profit
Indeed, as early as March 2021, as mass vaccination was just getting underway in the United States, all three companies were boasting to their investors about their plans to dramatically raise vaccine prices once the federal government contracts ended.
“As we move from a pandemic state, from a pandemic situation to an endemic situation, normal market forces, normal market conditions will start to kick in,” Pfizer Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Frank D’Amelio told investors at the Barclays Global Healthcare Conference on a March 11, 2021.
“And factors like efficacy, booster ability, clinical utility will basically become very important, and we view that as, quite frankly, a significant opportunity for our vaccine from a demand perspective, from a pricing perspective, given the clinical profile of our vaccine.”
A month prior, D’Amelio had given investors a target price of $150 to $175 per shot.
Hoge, the Moderna president, had similar words at the Barclays conference, telling investors that “post-pandemic, as we get into those what I will call seasonal epidemics that you would expect to happen with a SARS-CoV-2 virus, we would expect more normal pricing based on value.”
While the World Health Organization (WHO) defines whether or not a pandemic exists, the Biden administration has signaled that its declaration of a Public Health Emergency will be allowed to expire in May 2023.

Facial Skincare Products I’ve Used Pt. 4
Freshman and Sophmore Years 2022-2024
Aight so I'm getting the hang of skincare by now. I've landed on some holy grail products and some duds. I think this is my transition toward Asian beauty. After I realized how much financial freedom I have, I turned to online shopping. It happened a couple days before Valentine's Day. Idk why, but I landed on Stylevana and saw the sale they were having (they were always having a sale). So I went and bought three new things: 1. iUNIK beta glucan serum, 2. I'm From mugwort essence, and 3. Clio gelspresso eyeliner. It all went downhill? uphill? from here.
Cleansers
Lancôme Eau Micellaire Cleansing Water - Mom's stuff. Some of the more expensive stuff I've tried but it's basically the same as Garnier.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser - Mom’s stuff. It’s nice and gentle with a milky texture. It seems like it has decent cleansing power, but I haven’t tested it out on a full face of makeup or anything heavy.
Rosette Cleansing Pasta Age Clear Makeup Remover Cream - Mom's stuff. It smelt strongly of roses and left a mildly oily residue after I washed it off. Probably the cream.
Treatments
Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner - I saw this on r/AsianBeauty and then at the 168 Market. Immediately bought it. It’s basically water with some fancy stuff inside. Hydrating but not life changing. I also thought this caused me to break out and stalled using it, but I went back to it a couple days later. I use this in layers. It’s a pretty solid no-frills watery toner.
Neutrogena Stubborn Blackheads Daily Serum - Oh my god, it smells abysmal. Like a dirty towel smell with a scent that burns your nose. You do end up being able to tolerate it with frequent usage. Nice consistency though, more of a thin gel than a liquid serum. I did notice fewer break outs on my face after using this. However, I felt like it was ineffective so I switched back to the lactic acid.
I'm From Mugwort Essence - Most expensive and fancy thing I’ve personally bought. So its watery but thicker. I don’t know how to describe it but it has a nice slip to it and it doesn’t feel as watery as the Naturie toner. It smells mildly herby. I really like it, it makes my face feel so supple.
iUNIK Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum - It was alright. It helped hydrate my skin but I feel like it was lacking in the healing department. The applicator also kinda broke when I was 95% done with the bottle.
Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner - It had the same consistency as the I'm From Mugwort essence. It smells nice, not like honey but mildly sweet. I think it improved the appearance of my skin a bit. I wished it was as hydrating as the naturie toner.
De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment - This smelt pretty bad. Very eggy. HOWEVER, it was so good at relieving redness and inflammation. It instantly calmed my cyst down. Also pretty decent at acne prevention. I got used to the scent and my mind gradually associated the anti inflammation to the scent, which made the sulphur smell more comforting oddly enough.
Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum - I never thought I'd buy something from BOJ. I always had the impression that they're super expensive but they have decently priced items. Mildying hydrating but it really did nothing for me.
Rhoto Mentholatum Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Essence - I decided to give this another try and once again I was let down :( .
HADA LABO Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Premium Lotion - Extremely hydrating and viscious. I originally looked down on hyaluronic acid but this changed my mind. It's best on damp skin and some humiditiy in the air. Initially it made my skin so so plump but because its getting colder and arid, it feels like it just dries my skin sometimes.
VT Cosmetics Cica Care Sheet Masks - Saw this at Neko Stop for $10 for a box. It was very hydrating and had a nice herbal scent.
Kose Cosmeport Clear Turn White Mask Collagen - Like the Naturie toner, I also got this at 168 market. It was about 5pc for $10. Super hydrating and made my skin plump. Love it!
AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum - Nice texture and hydration but I didn't notice much difference. I think my skin looked nicer or something.
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule - I don't use this a lot, only when I'm using actives. It's very good at soothing. Instantly minimizes the feeling of irritation. I wish I bought this instead of that I'm From Mugwort Essence.
Cos De Baha Tranexamic Acid Serum - Nicely hydrating and had a gel-like texture. Pretty sticky. In terms of hyperpigmentation lightening I don't think I saw any real changes. It was pretty mild. Meh.
Isntree TW-Real Bifida Ampoule - I bought this because I heard it is good for skin barrier and I suppose it is. That said my skin is fairly resilient already. I like the serum though - not too sticky, hydrating and I got a lot out of it. Might repurchase as just in case now that I've started retinol.
Cerave Resurfacing Retinol Serum - I've used a retinol moisturizer once before but this is my first serum. I've used this for about ~ 6 weeks. Not sure if I'm seeing improvement but this spot of on my right cheek that has been persistent is becoming less visible. I used to use this every three days on top of moisturizer but then swapped to every other day, on bare dry skin. I may have flew too close to the sun because my skin got itchy after applying and then I scratched, which cause two big hives. It calmed down and went away in the morning but yeah. I need to be more careful.
Moisturizers
Cetaphil Soothing Aloe Vera Gel Cream - I wanted to like this, I really do. I was anticipating this so much and then months into using it I realized it was the culprit behind my break outs :(. Anyways, it’s pretty moisturizing but doesn’t feel heavy since it’s a gel cream. The size is generous for the price. Also very sticky. (Edit: I think the breakouts may have been hormonal and not because of this gel cream. Also great body moisturizer during the summer.)
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Face Cream - My replacement for the Cetaphil gel cream. It’s much lighter and more suitable for warmer weather. However, I’m using this in December. I somehow almost always end up with a lighter moisturizer during winter. It’s alright, does it’s job. Also great price for the amount you get.
Elf All The Feels Facial Oil- I got this to help boost the Aveeno face cream. It does help enrich the cream and leaves a nice glow on my face. I’d use this mixed with moisturizer but never by itself. It's also good for removing hair removal wax.
Elf Holy Hydration Face Cream - Revisiting this moisturizer because I'm still struggling to find the holy grails of all holy grails of moisturizers. It's aight. It feels moisturizing yet lightweight but I'm craving that instantaneous hydration burst you get with gel creams. My skin for some reason doesn't vibe with it? Like it doesn't harm my skin but I don't feel good after applying it.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream - Ah yes, the famous Hydroboost gel cream (on Reddit at least). I remember the day the gel version came out. Kind of a revolutionary thing in the (Western) beauty world. Anyways, it’s siliconey but not heavy or pore-clogging. It’s moisturizing and lightweight. Pretty unproblematic. I wished the container didn’t use so much plastic.
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Face Gel Hydrator - Someone tell Neutrogena that acne-prone skin does not always equate to oily skin. It’s a gel cream but lighter than the Hydroboost. It’s pretty moisturizing but it dries down matte. It makes my skin look dull afterwards, so it’s preferable to add two drops of facial oil to make it work for me. Kinda hated it.
Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Honey Overnight Mask - Waaaaay too lightweight for an overnight mask. I previously used the Paula's Choice hydrating treatment mask and e.l.f.'s dope dreams mask so I was hoping for something rich. This was not it. I ended up giving it to my mom.
Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream - A nice, hydrating and rich cream. It left some weird residue on my skin but it's whatever. I should've gone with this initially instead of using Aveeno, the honey mask, Neutrogena (both gel cream and gel hydrator), and e.l.f during the winter.
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream - It was like the cosrx hyaluronic acid cream but more hydrating and lightweight. Had a bit of a tacky finish but it wasn't bad. Great gel cream for the summer but as it got colder my skin needed a little more.
Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel - A nice gel and nothing more. I use it more as a treatment actually. However, it didn't really do much skin soothing, the sulphur mask did. I do use it after I exfoliate. In comparison to the other gel creams I've used, this was the best.
Up&Up Unscented Sensitive Skin Facial Moisturizer - A nice moisturizer in between thick and thin. Initially I was worried about breaking out because of the petrolatum but that didn't happen. The moisturizer is a little more thin because its a lotion but its moisturizing enough. However, I occasionally felt like the moisturizer wasn't enough on some nights, so I brought back an old favorite - the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
Illiyoon Ceramide ATO Concentrate Cream - Finally bit the bullet and bought this cream after one of my neighbor's in my dorm let me tried some. And let me tell you - it was the shit. My skin was instantly revived after a long period of dryness. I was so worried it would be heavy but it wasn't! It was rich and moisturizing - perfect for the night.
Sunscreens
Black Girl Sunscreen Kids SPF 50 - So this was a bit too moisturizing. It’s not great when it’s 80+ degrees and you’re seconds away from being a greaseball the second you step out the door. Yeah, made me look and feel too greasy for my liking. It did it’s job well and didn’t leave that weird feeling on my hands afterwards. If anything, it sunk in and made my hands feel moisturizer rather than tacky or dirty.
Banana Boat Light as Air SPF 50+ - My replacement for the BG kids sunscreen. I saw this on r/skincareaddiction and the reviewer gave it like a 4/5 or 5/5. I was kinda surprised because in the current skincare landscape, people talk more about La Roche Posay or Asian sunscreen. Banana Boat or typical American branded sunscreen are kinda disregarded ‘cause they kinda suck in quality. Anyways, the sunscreen is just like its name. It’s lightweight and doesn’t make me look greasy. It added a bit of moisture to my skin when it was like 50 degrees. It smells good too. I usually don’t really like fragrance but this is okay. It’s exceptional.
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence - By far the best sunscreen I've ever used. It feels so nice on my skin - very hydrating and lightweight. It dries down quick too. Very cosmetically elegant.
Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen - This was a sample from Yesstyle. Remember what I said about Biore being the best sunscreen I've used? I think this rivals it. It's so so lightweight yet moisturizing. Like it feels like nothing on when you apply it. No white cast or irritation either. Downside is that it isn't waterproof :(.

Teraterm connection refused
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When i remove cross over cable, I cannot get response anymore. I also tried updating the driver in the device manager. I tried updating the firmware on the mbed but it hasn't helped. However, the serial option is grayed out. So both ips are the same in first 3 bytes except last byte. Hi, I just downloaded Tera Term to my computer and I am trying to set my 'new connection' to serial for the mbed serial port. But when i use ping for loopback and my window pc ip, i can get reply.
The start of the text selection with the mouse can be delayed by setting. Why my teraterm showed connection refused Omg.
Added the Logging and the Logging menu into the File menu.
Added /OSC52= command line option for change the "Clipboard access from remote" setting.
Added support for xterm ED 3 (clear scroll buffer) control sequence. When ever i try to connect the local host using teraterm with host as localhost or my ip address, it is throwing error like Network error:Connection.
Added support for REP control sequence.
When the opacity values of the Additional settings dialog is input over than 255, the value is automatically changed to 255 over the dialog.
Also, added the BGIgnoreThemeFile entry in the teraterm.ini file.
Eterm look-feel: Added the Mixed ThemeFile to Background configuration.
When transparency is not available, made opacity not changeable.
Added slider for specify the opacity values on the Visual tab of the Additional settings dialog.
The location of resizing tooltip is automatically moved to coordinates after resizing.
When the opacity value of the window is temporarily changed by operating the mouse wheel on the title bar of VT window, the tooltip of the opacity value is shown.
Changed of indication from "Protocol" to "IP version" and from "UNSPEC" to "AUTO" on New connection dialog.
Added SFMT information on version dialog.
I am running out of ideas, any help would be appreciated. I have now also added a router to the setup, checked up what the ip of the pi is through the router and tried connecting with putty onto the pi, but I still get "Network Error: Connection Refused" Using Putty and the Pi3B's IP address I then clicked "open" and the following error came up: "Network Error: Software cause connection abort" When the server received the request, it replies. In Telnet, the client starts the connection request on TCP/23. This connection happened in plain text, including the authentication message.
Tumblr media
Telnet allows the client to establish a remote connection to the Telnet server. I unplugged everything from the Pi3, plugged the LAN cable back into my laptop and Pi3 and powered up the Pi3B. Telnet is a basic remote login protocol without all the bell and whistle. Once booted I opened terminal and entered "sudo raspi-config", where I then enabled SSH manually. I then used a Screen and keyboard to boot the Pi 3B. Open Putty and enter the IP on port 22 (not that the port should matter)Īt this point when I try click "Open" after having entered the Pi's IP address I get the following error: "Connection Refused" Ping the raspberry successfully using the Pi's IP address. I have followed the exact same steps I have for my Pi 2B's with exception to the image.ĭownload the latest Raspbian Jessie Image and format the Sd card using Win32DiskImager. There is a client version of SSH (used for remoting into other systems) and a server version (used for accepting incoming connections into the system). I have a new Raspberry Pi 3B and cannot ssh into it at all. The most basic troubleshooting you can do is to first verify that SSH is installed on the system. It emulates different types of computer terminals, from DEC VT100 to DEC VT382. I have two Raspberry Pi 2 B's that I have set up in the past with no issues incl headless setup. Tera Term (rarely TeraTerm) is an open-source, free, software implemented, terminal emulator (communications) program. Heedlessly ssh into a Raspberry Pi 3B on my Win7 platform(s). Thanks for taking the time and helping me out.

Install putty on mac using brew

#INSTALL PUTTY ON MAC USING BREW MAC OS X#
#INSTALL PUTTY ON MAC USING BREW FULL#
#INSTALL PUTTY ON MAC USING BREW SOFTWARE#
How do I use a putty key with OpenSSH on Mac? To change these preferences in the Terminal app on your Mac, choose Terminal > Preferences, then click General. Use General preferences in Terminal to change the default window settings and the type of shell that’s used when a new window is opened in Terminal. It appears that Hard Reset is equivalent to the bash builtin reset. The former clears your screen the latter just fixes it after nasty escape sequences. In the Terminal Shell menu, there are two options for reset: Hard Reset and Reset. Then just search for “clear” and check Clear Previous Output. 2 and above)… On Mac, just hit Code > Preferences > Settings. You can change from settings menu (at least from version 1.30. (This can happen, for example, if you accidentally output a binary file to your terminal.) How do you clear terminal in VS code automatically?
#INSTALL PUTTY ON MAC USING BREW SOFTWARE#
A VT-series terminal is a complex piece of software and can easily get into a state where all the text printed becomes unreadable.
#INSTALL PUTTY ON MAC USING BREW FULL#
The ‘Reset Terminal’ option causes a full reset of the terminal emulation. The history file is stored in a file that you can modify, as well. To clear the entire contents of the history file, execute history -c. Removing history If you want to delete a particular command, enter history -d.
To save these settings, click Session on the top of the left menu.
