Vampire the Masquerade Fang Fest 2023

Hello Vamily and welcome to the Vampire the Masquerade Fang Fest! This year’s prompt theme is “Disciplines.” These prompts are intended to inspire fanart, fanfic, and other pieces of fanwork. Anything you wish to create and share with the vamily is very greatly appreciated!

The Fang Fest will run from May 20 - 31, 2023.

Each day, starting with Animalism on May 20 and finishing with Thin-Blood Alchemy on May 31, post whatever fan work you've made inspired by the clan compulsion prompt (eg. art, fic, gifs, poetry, playlists, mood boards, whatever) with the hashtag #vtmfangfest23 so they can all be collected here. If you can't think of anything for a particular prompt, it's perfectly fine to skip it.

Those who are not taking part in making fan work are encouraged to like, comment on, give kudos, and share their favourites! Collaboration is encouraged, so reach out to your fellow kindred and see what you can come up with!

Communicating with and dominating animals, also influencing the Beast itself.

Supernatural senses, including seeing the future and reading minds.

3. Blood Sorcery

Thaumaturgy - rituals and spells involving Vitae.

Concealing yourself through invisibility or disguise.

Controlling shadows and ghosts with supernatural darkness.

Superhuman feats of strength.

Inhuman beauty, allure and emotional manipulation.

11. Protean

The ability to shape shift; including turning into animals, evaporating into mist, and the flesh crafting known as Vicissitude.

12. Thin-Blood Alchemy

The unique ability possessed by Thin-Bloods to combine blood and other ingredients to create powerful concoctions.

For the #vtmfangfest23 I've decided to write a series of haiku poems to fill the prompts! Here is day 1:

Animalism

Animals tend to Flee from me, but not this one. He’s tasted my blood.

Red eyes in the dark. I can see your Beast inside, I know it’s hungry.

.

Can you understand the secret language of beasts? Feral whispering.

.

Most Kindred don’t know that succulent animal blood can satisfy.

.

Beasts can be so damn loud sometimes! Shut the fuck up, and go to sleep now!

.

An unliving hive; A body becoming home to the crawling swarm.

.

I send my mind out to run on borrowed paws and see through borrowed eyes.

.

Why only control one animal, when you can control ALL of them?

.

I will not allow my Beast to frenzy. I’ll make yours do it, instead.

This will help you with the zoomies and makes the idea of forever make more sense."

Day eleven of the VTM Fangfest - Protean! The boar doesn't taste good, but it is filling enough for what he needs. The resonance gives him power, and the power protects his friends. It's messy and a bit different but I just really wanted to draw one of my fave coterie members on a hunting camera!
