DISCORD WCRP INTEREST CHECK

This is an 18+ (SFW) server. There is the possibility to be put on a waitlist if you are 17, but no one under 18 will be allowed to join.

Putting out feelers for members of an upcoming WCRP on Discord! This will be a partial reboot of a server that only lasted a couple months, now with a mod team and members to help with writing plot/arcs/events/etc and general new ideas to (hopefully) keep the ball rolling. It will be semi-literate with options to use script style under certain circumstances. You are welcome no matter your experience with source material or RP— as long as you are dedicated and can write characters in a shared environment, you can apply! Spectators will also be allowed.

What we offer:

an accepting environment that is happy to include those with demonized, “cringe”, or otherwise unconventional disorders/identities. The creator is a plural system and objectum! PluralKit is available and there are rules against fakeclaiming/discourse.

a thorough application process that discourages problematic behavior or ideals.

monthly activity checks that are straightforward and designed to be as stress-free/non-intrusive as possible; you don’t need to be roleplaying every day to be counted!

no strict response length expectations.

a system using Discord bots that lets you submit server suggestions and anonymous concerns to staff.

activities outside of RP that encourage thinking about your characters + OOC activities in development.

events relating to the RP both IC and OOC; you will have the option to contribute beyond RP threads.

From the River Dagda to the bogs of the northeast, feral cats have made this pocket of Ireland their own thanks to three sisters long ago. It all began recently enough that the oldest of clanmates might remember their fiery pelts.

The clans of the two eldest sisters’ creation remain, fighting for claim of the Trinity territory pine forest. On the horizon far beyond the sea, the youngest sister’s legacy waits.

But this story is only for the ears of clan cats. Maybe you'll lend your loyalty to the Trinity and join them?

The Trinity is an 18+ WCRP Discord server set in Ireland in the mid to late Middle Ages. You can look forward to:

“Walk with kindness and love, Sister, and the moon will walk alongside you.” The Family - A deeply religious community based around worship of the Moon and Fate as three entities, reincarnated through their leaders.

“Blood is in our veins, but also in our character. Good blood is the mark of a good cat.” Ancestor Grove - A monarchical group based on the value of a cat’s bloodline, ruled by the Red Monarch and their heirs, riddled with court intrigue and underhanded diplomacy.

“It matters not if you are a coward or a lion. It only matters who, when the claws have been sheathed, is left standing with their honor intact.” Barrowclan - A clan focused on ceremonial dueling as a way of life, who worship their deceased clanmates in an ever expanding legend, created under their Council.

“If you live your life right, each day is an adventure, each story a legend, and each puddle an ocean.” Echo Bay - A group of sea-loving cats living in an abandoned pirate ship, focused on the value of life as a journey and independent adventure.

LORE DROP: THE PATRON OF WAR

The cats of StormClan, like the lake Clans before them, worship their ancestors in StarClan, praying to them for guidance and salvation. Among these celestial angels are those few who have risen even higher in their influence in Silverpelt, becoming almost as gods unto themselves - cats whose notorious deeds in life have inspired those who survived them to turn to them as the heavenly embodiments of their virtues and their specialties. In the lake Clans, these patrons were the likes of Firestar and the Clan founders; StormClan honors their own distinct pantheon.

The first among these cherished figures is Rimestar, the icy patron of war and conquest.

In life, Rimeheart was a strange cat, prickly and unsocial, the sort some of its peers worried would someday become StormClan's first villain in its new home upon Tallrock. Born and raised in a time when tensions were first rising between StormClan and their Fallen neighbors, Rimeheart learned, like many of its Clanmates, to fear outsiders and distrust its own Clan. An early life spent in a cycle of willful delinquency and punishment was cut short when, as StormClan faced starvation and military devastation without the generous aid of their better-adapted former allies, it fell to Rimeheart as one of the only able cats to assume leadership at an extremely young age.

Today, StormClan remembers Rimestar as the savior of the Clan, a stoic and courageous hero who turned the tide of war with the aid of only a few cats, ultimately driving the Fallen out of the Tallrock territories and taking their territory for the Clan. In quieter conversation, its legacy is more contentious - while few could deny StormClan likely would have been scattered to the wind if not for Rimestar, the StormClan of the present era harbors long-fostered regrets over the cruelty that it orchestrated against the Fallen. The echoes of their ousting has haunted StormClan for generations, from a fearsome curse on Tallrock to their recent terrifying reunion with the Fallen, and many wonder if this terrible wake was worth the extreme acts that left it.

Even so, Rimestar remains StormClan's singular war deity. In the face of large-scale conflict, many turn to Rimestar, with its unflinching will to bloody its claws for the safety of the Clan. It is a patron of devotion and strength more than power or strategy, a bastion of doing what needs to be done, no matter how dirty or costly the deed.

CW: Animal violence, blood SunsetClan warriors do not take kindly to LeafClan intruders. As this thread came to a close, Cardinalpaw, an NPC, was thrashed around by senior warrior Russetfox as SunsetClan leader Dawnstar watched, horrified by her Clanmate's brutality. Dawnstar knows that it was more than a way to tell the LeafClan cat to fuck off: it was a threat. "Piss me off, and you'll be next." What is Russetfox planning? FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT READ THE IMAGES ABOVE, TEXT VERSION HERE:

POST ONE (RUSSETFOX):

Cardinalpaw breezed by the SunsetClan leader, and snarled in annoyance before turning around, arching his own back in response to her aggressive stance. His claws slid out of their sheaths and he shuffled forward on stiff legs. He wasn't going to let these two she-cats try to intimidate him even if they were full blown warriors.

Don't you have any sense? Get back to your own damned territory! And try learning some proper fighting moves before you trespass next time."

This time the tom didn't wait for her to finish her insult before he was charging at her again, this time he was aiming to fling himself at her, and try to pinpoint his attack for her face. He didn't notice the streak beside him as Russetfox launched at his side forcing him off his paws. The tom felt his breath whoosh out of him at the impact and he landed with a hard thud. The Senior Warrior wasted no time at assaulting him with her teeth and claws, scratching a few deep wounds into his marbled pelt. As the apprentice tried to claw himself away, she bit down hard into his chest before letting him get up and try to tear away. He had only taken a few steps before the dilute calico was slamming her front paws down onto his back causing the apprentice to collapse into a heap. She was quickly on top of him, this time using her pure size to keep him down. Lodging her teeth into his scruff she picked him up and rattled him around like one would do a mouse. Eventually she released him and Cardinalpaw stood up frantically, albeit a bit wobbly before streaking across the border.

Poison yellow eyes glared at him as he looked back once over his shoulder, his eyes round with fright making him far more kitten like than his 12 moons. With a blink of disbelief he disappeared into the undergrowth. Tail lashing, and blood pumping from the fight she turned and looked over at Dawnstar, "He was annoying the shit out of me."

POST TWO (DAWNSTAR):

It happened too fast for Dawnstar to react. She watched, stunned, as Russetfox slammed and shook and flung the apprentice around like a bear toying with its prey. It brought back memories of a border patrol when she was younger, near this very spot, where a young warrior got too close to a bear's cub.

The mother burst through the underbrush, grabbed the SunsetClan tom, and shredded him. The rest of the patrol hid.

When it was all over, there wasn't enough left of him to bury. His insides were outside, far from him, strewn about the foliage.

A shudder gripped Dawnstar and visibly rippled through her fur.

The apprentice was annoying Russetfox.

He was irritating, but he didn't deserve that.

Dawnstar narrowed her eyes, staring hard at Russetfox for a moment. Then she noticed the tomcat's blood splattered on the ground. He'd gotten away, but at what cost? Was infection already setting in? Would he survive the physical trauma?

LeafClan wouldn't take this brutality lightly, regardless of the outcome.

StarClan, what do I do now? she asked her ancestors.

Scolding Russetfox wasn't the move. For what? Defending my Clan? she thought, mocking the scathing warrior's tone in her head.

But... to praise this? Absolutely not.

Russetfox would never be assigned another apprentice, that was for damned sure.

"You're a vicious fighter," she said, choosing her words carefully, forcing her voice to be steady, ultimately failing. "Next time a predator is spotted, you'll be first on my list to take it down."

Then she turned away and said, "They won't be crossing the borders again any time soon. Let's head home."

Dawnstar had never wanted to get away from a cat so fast before. Nine lives wouldn't be enough for her to best Russetfox in a fight.

As she walked away, neck fur standing on end, Dawnstar saw herself in that apprentice's place, Russetfox's claws tearing through her skin, her own blood decorating the forest floor.

POST THREE (RUSSETFOX):

Russetfox stared impassively at her leader, a challenge clearly presenting towards the other calico in her hard stare. The toxic yellow begging Dawnstar to lash out at her for her actions, wanting to continue the fight and leaning into the battle drive that was itching at her large paws. She had wanted to engage with Dawnstar for a long time, she just needed a reason to do so. She watched as Dawnstar calculated and thought about her next words carefully, all while Russetfox forced her to hold her gaze. "You're a vicious fighter," A pause, "Next time a predator is spotted, you'll be first on my list to take it down." A smile exposed deadly fangs and Russetfox chuckled darkly. "I would gladly defend my Clan with my last breath if that what was required of me." Not entirely a lie, but definitely not the truth either. Dawnstar ended the challenge by turning away, clearly spooked by her reaction and the dilute calico couldn't help but feel delighted at the thought. Good, let the pretty leader feel concern about me. She should be.

"Wonderful adventure today Dawnstar, I look forward to the next one." She called to her before stalking after her, her eyes firmly locked onto the back of her leaders neck.

Spearheaded by Developer Rose, we have officially launched our Equipment system! It is completely optional, and utilizes TTRPG mechanics to craft, upgrade, repair, and fight other players & future Encounters with a unique stat set and movepool! Players can create a variety of weapons (blades, shield, bashers, etc) and armor (wood, leather, rock), and we heavily encourage being creative with it! Anything goes!

how is real-time rp accessible to everyone? genuine question, i mean no malice but putting such a time crunch on an 18+ crowd is just leaning towards those who are unemployed or don't attend school. if you wanted your rp to be accessible it should be something those who go to school or have jobs can partake in without having to struggle to meet daily deadlines in a fictional cat server. i'd be more understanding of 48 hrs since the last post but this is unnecessarily overkill

hi anon- we appreciate you sharing your perspective with us. most of us on staff are working professionals or in classes (or both) ourselves. we have intentionally chosen to use a real-time system precisely because it allows our members and staff to choose when they can take on a thread in their day-to-day. for example, if you know you have a free day on wednesday, that's a great time to request a thread!

our use of real-time means threads don't languish, members won't find themselves stuck in a thread for multiple days with their only oc or unintentionally forced to write replies over days when they don't have the time/energy to write.

as TSaTS does not use hard activity checks or have a strict measurement for what makes a "complete" thread, there is no pressure on members to have a certain number of threads or total posts in a given amount of time. members can ask staff for extensions as stated in our systems page here (which we elaborated on here). this system was built intentionally for times when a member ends up not being able to post as much as they initially thought they could, etc.

with the ability to request extensions for up to 3 extra days, no hard post requirements, and the option to post concluding summaries, there's effectively no strict 'hard' deadline for threads to be fully finished in a 24 hour window, nor any negative effects/penalty resulting from unfinished threads.

we hope this clarifies our intentions and reasoning for choosing a real-time system. there are plenty of other 18+ real-time wcrps out there, just as there are ones that use some form of liquid-time. if you prefer a liquid-time system because that works for you, then we kindly suggest you look to servers that offer liquid-time systems.
