Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 Reaction

Here I was, getting ready for bed, wondering if any other fanfics have updated, and then I remembered—it’s Wednesday! No sleep for me haha

Also I’m still freaking out that CAD BANE is still alive. Like, he felt like a grumpy old man in the Clone Wars, let alone after the whole original trilogy

I know there was some unfinished Clone War episodes that had a Boba Fett vs. Cad Bane showdown where they both got headshots in and yet both survived.

Maybe Bane got wind that Boba resurfaced and dragged himself out of retirement to finish off that showdown. Feels like something he would do.

Oh plus we know there’s bad blood between him and Fennec.

Maybe Boba will finally actually kill him, unlike all the Jedi and Clones and Sith and I’m assuming other bounty hunters who have tried and failed.

Just wanted to tell you that your Version of Elijah looks positivly adorable. An adorable teenage cinnamon bun - if a bit murderous. I have a WIP on Assassins Creed and wanted to know if I could use your art in there. Also what did Kent do - beside looking quite cute? Kyo and Kei look good too. And I'm envoius of your art skills and the fact that all three rock long hair.

I am glad you like my baby boi Elijah so much! I had lots of fun thinking on how to draw him since we dont really have much from the comic. About using it as long as credit is given that’s fine with me, please also link me when you post it so I can read the story :D

Now about my OCs

Ok if I am to talk about their stories I need you all to get cool about a lot of stuff real fast.

First of all I need you all to understand I created this characters when I was 15 back in the early 2000s when the whole Emo movement was going strong, this is important, context is important, I was an angsty teenager like everyone else and I had the luck of being able to express myself through art so yeah.

Anyways what did Kent do?... welp... short answer... serial killer cannibal... I know... I know... listen I KNOW

I’m not going to go into detail of his backstory because there are a lot of messed up stuff on it that could potentially be triggering for some people but let it be know that he has a “reason” as to why he is the way he is, not an excuse, I never, not once, not even back then, considered his past as an excuse, what he does as a character is morally wrong but like I said he was the character where I could go crazy and just shove on him all the messed up thinks that I wanted to explore in a safe way, that’s mostly why I am not embarrassed about him and why even to this day I keep on drawing him, because messed up or not he is my baby and he helped me a lot when I was young.

But that’s his past and I didnt really touch much into it, the main story would be on his friendship with Kyo, Kei and Kaoz.

While Kent was the, let’s call him weird, character, these two, Kyo and Kei, were the normal ones, they’re just orphan twins, adopted by a sweet old couple, who inherited their coffee shop once they passed away and decided to keep the business going.

Kei is the pastry chef, even tho he has the “cool” look he is totally a sweetheart that loves spending his time in front of an oven, he was actually my first aromantic character even before I knew that was a thing, as in I did think about love interests for all my other characters, but I could never pin down one for him, fast forward a few years and after I have been more active on the lgbt community I realized “Ah, he’s aro”

Kyo is the barista, the more mature and responsible of the two of them, he manages the finances of the store and is constantly worried about providing a good living place for his younger brother (and eventually for his friends Kent and Kaoz when they move in).

Kaoz was the second son to an important family and he was also kind of a hitman (again, early 2000’s, teenage drama, I just did what I wanted with this story let me be) anyways he leaves home when he discovers his older brother had killed their parents to take over the business and he wasn't cool with that but also didn't have it in him to get rid of his brother.

Kyo and Kei know nothing of Kent past, Kaoz knows but he hasn’t told anybody.

Now story wise? There wasn’t really much, it was just me doing like daily stories about them, small scenes of their lives and the problems that would arise because of their backstories, I was more interested on them as characters than in actually giving them a story plot. Mind you the one thing I knew is that this story couldn’t have a happy ending. If you were to go to my DA account you will find more about them there, but again, young me, teenage, be mindful there is a lot of stuff that is most definitely not safe for everyone to read/see.

Even so, after everything, they are my babies, and I still love them, maybe in the future I will revisit their stories and make changes, but I do love their designs and they fill me with happy nostalgia emotions so I do not think I will stop drawing them any time soon.

So I’m following you and I can’t even remember why I started but I just say loads of tma content which I didn’t watch but meh it could chill on my dash and I didn’t unfollow but then like two days ago I started listening and I’m at 45 already I AM IN LOVE and living for the tma content. I’m staying away from the tags for now because spoilers but I was wondering if you could recommend some good people to follow for when I catch up? Also how does everyone agree what the gang look like? The(1/2)

(2/2) seeing fan art everyone seems to agree that, say, John has a ponytail and I was wondering if there’s like an official image of him somewhere? A description that we’re all going off? I really want to start doing some fan art and maybe post a bit of it but most of all I don’t want to accidentally mess up on people’s races and whitewash someone or forget someone’s headscarf etc! omggg the number of people i have either directly or subliminally gotten into tma ticks up to....seven??? i’m starting to lose track haha. i really appreciate you continuing to follow despite all the tma posting i really do attempt to balance it out, it certainly isn’t as though i no longer care about my other big loves and even thinking to give it a shot!!! AND YOU GOT TO 45 IN TWO DAYS, THAT IS W I L D. definitely stay away from spoilers if you can!! it’s really exciting going into events unspoiled.

there are actually pretty much no physical descriptions of any of the characters- all we really know in canon is that jon has graying hair, martin isn’t skinny, and....welp, that’s about it???

but i will say that i’ve never seen anyone draw jon white so if you did ppl would probably be like “wth” haha. he’s largely interpreted as being brown-skinned. similarly, basira doesn’t CANONICALLY wear a hijab, but i’ve never seen her drawn without one. as for tim, sasha, melanie, elias etc you’re free to go ham- they have almost zero descriptions within canon and the fandom interpretation of them varies widely. (i think sasha canonically has long hair and glasses? but that’s it)

as for people to follow, i’m unfortunately not the best person to ask bc i mostly just stalk the tags and don’t actually follow ppl lol. @/yamiiino, @/reidspng, @/everchased and @/nihhon are some really great artists in the fandom tho, and @/jonnysims is a great blog as well!

and that was it folks! there's the end of taz amnesty! it has been an amazing ride and, unlike balance, one i was actually here for from start to finish in real time. this finale more than lived up to my expectations as far as tying up loose ends and ending on a wonderfully happy note and i cannot wait to see all the art and fic that comes out of it. i love this amazing fandom that’s felt like a home to me these last three years, i can't wait to listen to the next amazing arc the mcelboys conjure up with all of you

I think I have to vent a bit. I have rewatched the new episode twice, yet I'm very displeased with how Garou looks. He just doesn't feel like how Murata draws him. It's like they gave him wrinkles, his smiles make him look like the Grinch, his muscles look like jaggedly animated squares, his movements are so stiff and he seems way too buff and all of that just makes me so so very sad. I KNOW I'm the minority, but I rly want to enjoy the anime with everyone else yet I don't like what I'm seeing.

*pats* Hey man, it’s cool! :’) It’s fine to vent and voiceyour feelings, as long as it never gets to the point of attacking other peoplewho’re just trying to have a good time. And really, the anime is stillsomething separate and supplemental to the manga/webcomic anyway (it can’t ever touch or replace it), so as long asyou can release the mindset that’s otherwise holding it to the same impossible standardsas before (s1), then it’s possible to just relax and enjoy it as its ownthing instead. At least, that’s what I’m doing. I can’t speak for the otherfans here, but as long as you’re secure and realistic about your expectations,then the fanwank echo chambers (avoid the subreddit) can’t affect how you choose to enjoy it. :O It’s been years and there’s content I’ve wanted to see voiced and adapted for ages, so even I’ve got a mental checklist on what I want to see delivered most, even if I know it can’t possibly be perfect.

Anyway, I will concede though, that in the opening scene with him, they really jacked up the BEEF where it made it hard to gauge exactly how old he is, ahaha. :P (After credits scene was very manga faithful tho.) And yes, the art for his face was inconsistent at times (I’m reading up there were a bunch of animation directors for this ep, as opposed to just one person who’d have a stronger consistent say), but if it’s any solace, in those same intro chapters with him, even Murata varied his face a lot too before he gradually and comfortably settled into the Garou we all know and love. Take a look at all those beginning faces of him (ch40/41/45):

Where he was a lot more slender and younger manic looking, for sure. Plus he had a strong striking resemblance to Hiruma (from Murata’s previous work, es21) back then too. Also note the dark shadow lining around his eyes which isn’t as prominent on him anymore either.

Compare to how Murata draws him later (ch86-91), and he looks more like this:

A lot more clean-cut (aside from the blood) and chiseled/angular around the jawline. Oh no he’s hot. He doesn’t quite feel the same way as Murata initially used to draw him either. I would say Murata’s settled his design into his own a lot more now (does not resemble Hiruma anymore; Garou now looks like Garou). Which is a neat character + art evolution dual progression I’ve taken notice. :D

So now what I’m seeing in the anime is an attempt to draw him more like Murata’s current design (instead of how he used to look), and we end up with shots like these:

Which honestly feel pretty faithful! :O (That last one especially.) Like they’re going for more blended proportions (between past and present Murata designs) for consistency’s sake, rather than ripping straight from all those early panels. (Heck, getting these shots, I even noticed the canines show up more prominently later in the manga too.) So it really comes as no surprise to me if the animators had difficulty nailing down his intro faces here (which varied quite wildly even in those old panels from Murata)…when the main reference they’re going for is probably something more closely designed/matched to his later appearance instead. So if there’s a vibe/disconnect in there that feels ‘off model’ about the art, that’s probably the biggest reason for it.

I even remember the fan confusion for Midorikawa’s casting for him, because people felt the deep voice matched ‘later’ Garou better…and welp, now with the visuals similarly like that too, I can understand the direction for that! :D Definitely looking forward to what else Midorikawa has to offer this season! And especially when the eps start showing more of his sympathetic sides.

Mmmmmkay I have to rant about Nier: Automata for a bit; I accidentally triggered the end of the game (playthrough 2, ending B) last night and stayed up till 2:00 trying to finish the stupid “not allowed to save” phase. But y’aLL IT’S SO GOOD??????? AND 3RD PLAYTHROUGH ISN’T ANOTHER RE-RUN OF THE SAME STORY WE GET MORE STORY AAAAAAAAA

(more under the cut because there is ALOT for those who care;;;;;)

- OK SO THE MUSIC IS AMAZING??? I love LOVE that the music dynamics build in instruments and intensity as you progress towards danger/plot, but also softens again for quieter moments and just...musical storytelling is so sooooo my jam I love it. Also that the music goes 8 bit when 9S hacks stuff, it’s actually kinda cute X’D

- ON THE SUBJECT of 9S being able to hack into enemies and you getting to play that as a little teeny ship shooting down viruses and barriers and whatnot. Genius???? That added SO MUCG to the story on the second playthrough as 9S. Particularly discovering the fact that all of humanity?? Is actually extinct?? ...even BEFORE the aliens/machines attacked earth?? WH A T?????? WHAT THE HECK ARE ANDROIDS FIGHTING FOR THEN????? *every time an android salutes and says “glory to mankind” now* GLORY MY FOOT THEY ALL DEAD MOVE ON--

- I realize it probably has alot to do with the lore of previous nier games and I’ll probably have to trawl through Wiki pages soon here. Emil himself really broke my heart aaaaaah baby...his side quest is so sad. I also looked at arts and he was a really cute kid?? Before he was turned int the freaky moon skeleton thing...?? Oh my goodness......

- The secret lunar tear flower room is gorgeous. I just sat there for awhile to soak it all in...the music is so nostalgic and I’ve never heard that song bfore how do y’all DO THAT--

- Emil’s shop is pretty cute. He just drives around the ruins and sells stuff if you shoot him and he’ll stop X’’’D It did ruin alot of serious moments tho. *Engels, talking about how he’d sinned for killing so many androids and choosing death--* “S-A-L-E SAAAALLLEEE~~!! EVERY SALE’S A WIIIINNNNNN~~~~!!!! LALALaaaaaa~~~...” Me: *facepalm*

- ...I just realized the little tune he sings is a cheerful rendition of the music in the flower room. H E C K

- ANYWAY. Onto the actual game. I really really enjoyed playing as 9S for obvious reasons (bABY) but it really did add so soooo much to the pretty much surface level story when you first play as 2B. Which sums them up pretty well...2B, Battle unit 2, pushes on relentlessly, avoids thinking too hard about things and what she’s doing because oh dear, EMOTION might get in the way...9S, Scanner unit 9, on the other hand, cannot stop his curiosity. He asks questions, he sticks his nose in way further than he should to some dangerous stuff. I think he realized Machines were sentient and had feelings long before 2B, but was in denial for a good while. You learn so much more about what you’re fighting as 9S, because he scans. He observes, searches, discovers. Heck, some hacking caused him to experience empathy for the poor things, to his horror...

- Actually, there are alot of scenes where either 2B or 9S questions why a machine they’re killing is screaming for help, of crying for lost family, or loudly proclaiming loyalty to a king they’ll give their lives for...they stop for a moment, but the other quickly jumps in and reminds them that it’s just imitation. It’s not real, it’s fake, machines can’t feel, yadda yadda...it was odd to me they kept switching off on reminding, but...I think they both know, deep down, what they’re doing. But denial. Because if machines DO have feelings, if they are sentient...what does that mean for all they’ve killed...? Just...hoo BOY the moral dellimas in this game?? Scary good. The quests get that across alot.

- I don’t like the theme of hopelessness in most of the side quests?? I do see many of them as cautionary tales though. We watch many characters lose hope and the will to live after their thing/person they’re living FOR is gone. It makes me worry alot about 2B, who is a soldier through and through. 9S actually does have hopes and dreams for things outside of the war, which I love ;7; they definitely lean on each other alot emotionally on this respect though...I don’t know quite what to make of the themes of the game this far in yet;;;;

- The love between 9S and 2B is of course my favorite thing. Familial, romantic, idk. I, being me, see it as more platonic, “You’re my rock in this storm” only friend/sister/brother vibe, but as more of a fan of platonic relationships, that is what I tend to do. But 9s following 2B around like a lost puppy and trying to do all he can to help and do his job but also getting bored with said job and trying to make the most of things, asking all the “why” questions, 2B acting irritated but also always keeps him close and makes sure he’s safe....going ballistic when someone hurts her boy ;;v;; I love...2 kids. Their operators and pods are such fun dynamics too~~

- As far as endings A and B...DANG. It hit worse because you get backstory on the giant ocean machine (that 9S just hit with a giant missle, which he also had to ride to keep it on the right path...DX NO SELF PRESERVATION) he just...wanted his mama......;;A;;

- Also it’s not fair. 9S is so injured by that missle attack, then I guess Adam finds him and is like “HM. *sticks the lil boy impaled on a wall* Perfect. *proceeds to emotionally and mentally torture said child*“ like YO ADAM THAT’S NOT HOW YOU DO THINGS. Then 2B proceeds to kick down walls for her boy and kills Adam and walks off carrying 9S bridal style into the sunset. Lovely. I have a comic idea for this part, lol.

- Oh I don’t like Adan very much, he is pretty tho?? There was alot of blood though...how do machines bleed?? How do the androids bleed?? What??? I question this alot.

- HHHHHHH THE BECOME AS GODS CHAPTER SCARED ME I DON’T EVER WANNA DO THAT AGAIN DANG SUICIDAL ROBOTS SCARED ME SO BAD

- Fighting Eve was...annoying but still heartbreaking. He misses his brother so much....even though Adam is a butthead and couldn’t care less he left his little brother behind DX just everything about that fight was Tragic. Also Eve developing more self awareness and realizing “Eve” is a girl’s name and being a bit miffed LOL that’s what y’all get when your first book is the bible kiddos...I realize they’re technically like what? 2 weeks old still???

- The ENDING. From 9S’s perspective is especially scary....the corruption transforming him, 2B coming in to kill him to stop the pain, he BEGGED her to, just....hhhhhhh babies ;;A;; 2B’s soft broken crying over him as she’s forced to strangle her only friend to death just aaaaaAAAAAAAA I DIE ;;;;;;;;~;;;;;;;;;

- I was actually able to cry over it this time coz. It was 2 am. No parent awkwardly watching over my shoulder. Because the pose for this scene is...........super awkward..........like......really........their clothes are super torn up and uh. The first time I was just hoping my parents wouldn’t mistake it for a sex scene or something hhhhhghhhhh;;;;;; I really really REALLY wish the pose was different, the game does need to give the fanservice a rest, at LEAST for a scene this serious DX I’m able to ignore it but when someone else is watching I don’t wanna have to explain;;;;

- That IS a big gripe I have with the game. The fanservice. Just. Why. How is 2B’s outfit practical?? Self destruct mode???? REALLY???? Get this girl battle shorts or something please.....I guess if I looked at it more as a ballet outfit?? I might make some edits when I draw her because GEEZ.

- 9S gets some of this too. Self destruct mode, his shorts are blown off???? WHAT THE HECK???? Welp, never using that again. also why is he the only yorha boy android??????????? X’’’’D They never explain that!!

- BACK TO ENDING STUFF why were there random data hologram girls standing there, watching 2B strangle 9S?? Just...silently there...they weren’t there in the first playthrough?? I’ve seen them a couple times but they’re NEVER mentioned?? WHAT ARE THEY-- is it a glitch?? Wha--

- Teeny 9S being able to dump his consciousness into a giant machine robot guy and cradling 2B in his hand ;;~;; he’s fine y’all I’m so GLAD (I wanna draw something for this scene.... I wanna draw alot of things)

- I love Pascal. He should adopt all the sad people to his happy peace village. He already started that...what a good egg.

- The accessories option is lovely. I’ve been running around with 9S with a blue bow in his hair forever now ;7; replaced with the flower in his hair because BOYS AND FLOWERS I LOVE but I think I might give the flower to 2B because she’d look lovely with it and....I miss the blue bow X’D

- Also the AMOUNT of things this could line up with a KH universe....as far as how androids work, hearts (black boxes), memories making you...you, being able to transfer “hearts” to new bodies when the old is destroyed, POWER OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP...there’s alot. I dunno what to do with this info...

Anyway, I have alOT of thoughts and feelings on this game, it’s like...a very cool book. I’ve had trouble putting down. These aren’t even all of them but idk who I can actually rant to so here it is for the Void

I actually mentioned it a few posts ago but it’s really just a blister - a pretty damn huge one, but still just a blister - it’s in a place where I apply pressure when holding a pen so drawing makes it sorta hurt, and to avoid breaking it I had kind of decided to wait it out and not draw until it’d healed?? But as it turns out it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna take as little time as I thought it would?? And not drawing was making me go out of my mind?? So I decided that I’m gonna draw anyway, but the position in which the blister forces my finger is a stupid one and the hold on the pen turns out a little awkward, so (for my own standards) the lines are turning out sloppier even though it’s taking thrice as long to trace them in an even only vaguely acceptable way

So!! This is what’s up! I’m sorry I made you all worry and thank you so much for the concern, but the only thing drawing anyway is gonna do is make me uncomfortable in the moment and maybe make healing a little more annoying, there’s no permanent damage anywhere in sight!

Alfie O’Tierney

Name: Alfie O'Tierney | Title: He doesn't really have too many nicknames- just Alfie n Tier and his title/performance name whatever you wanna call it tho is- well he has two- BonBon or BeeBee he l o a t h e s them both tho | Gender: Male | Species/Race: Okay so he is technically a jack in the box, just... an alive one? Is he possessed? Is he just alive via magic? Who knows... | Age: Unknown | Height: 5 inches (if your going to count the spring as his legs that is, if not then I'd say the body of the actual puppet is 3 or 4 inches at the VERY least) | Appearance: Let's start off with the box design, his box is a wooden one actually- on the front of the box, it has the star patterns with a jester on the front of it that looks like Lee himself (I'll get to his actual appearance in a bit) doing some tricks, the sides and back of it however just have multiple colors going down it in a diamond-like pattern, HOWEVER... there's two ways it can change, depending on his mood or if he contorts it to his whim- however he always goes back to the original box pattern before a show begins- doesn't want anyone to be too suspicious, but when he actually WANTS the box to change and its not just a mood thing it looks much more.... sinister, no happy colored patterns, all dark colors, gloomy art on the front- and hey, is his smile wider than usual? It looks that way... Hmm... Now the actual appearance of the puppet... He's much more jester-like than clown-like for sure, his eyes have that- ya know that typical jester eye make up thing? Yeah his eyes are LITERALLY just that cross pattern- its no make up, its legit just his eyes- and sometimes if you get lucky enough, if you look close enough into the slits you'll see what could be considered pupils (those "pupils" are a Smoke Grey color and again its for the color meaning), his clothing, his hat, gloves- etc- even his fucking s c e p t e r that he holds is a fucking brightly colored abomination- its rainbows- rainbows e v e r y w h e r e, he h a t e s the bright colors he has to wear and hold, he hates the bright lights of the stage and everything, however when he's alone, his attire usually just goes to a Shadow Black and Smoke Gray combination, even his scepter gets darker (his scepter when he's not got it disguised as the rainbow abomination has some interesting looking inscriptions on it, and a crystal ball on top of it) | Personality: This being is fucked up in so many different ways that we don't have time to unpack all that! but for starters, he has a front he puts up specifically for the shows he performs in! Its an overly cheerful, friendly, and happy persona- it entertains the crowd and something they enjoy means more people and much more money to come, then his owner, the "puppet master" or whatever ya wanna call him is "happy", when he's alone however... his real personality starts to come through, he's cold, bitter, and angry- he h a t e s performing but he can't escape which only makes him MORE angry and bitter, he h a t e s humanity- he especially l o a t h e s his owner, puppet-master- w h a t e v e r- their all the same to him, greedy- oh so greedy- s e l f i s h, only caring about what they want and not anyone else, however... when he's in his "own world", his puppet friends bring him genuine joy- he loves them and cares for them so much, their not greedy, their not selfish- they help each other out instead of just looking for their own personal gain- (tl;dr: He's angry, he's bitter, and he's just relatively cold, he loathes the puppet master, he h a t e s humanity, he HATES being stuck in the place he's in, his box is fine- he just wants o u t of this hellish place he's found himself in, he wants out of all the shows, all the performances, he just wants to be alone... with his puppet friends, even if means he'd technically be left to rot- anything is better than having to deal with all those noisy nuisances) | Side Facts: The inside of his box is actually MUCH more spacious than it looks- in fact, its an ENTIRE different world in there ....literally, there is an entirely different world in his box, its all in black and white though- he doesn't w a n t colors in his world, its bad enough he has to see all the horrible bright colors in the o u t s i d e world he doesnt want to see them in the place he feels most safe... He does have people down there as well, their..- okay well their PUPPETS but he actually takes care of them and appreciates them immensely, they seem to also appreciate him as well- I mean he IS their creator in a way technically speaking and he doesn't treat them badly, he doesn't make them perform, he lets them live in peace. now the biggest question, is he something possessing the jack in the box toy or is he merely alive by some form of magic? Welp, who knows- he's not even sure what he is anymore! Oh btw- ya know- his arms AND head can actually spring out too when he needs, its not just a spring for legs that he has- and remember how i said he can contort the box and all that stuff to his own whim? Yeaah actually he can do it to himself too, not just the clothes or any of that, if he wants to- he can look much more monstrous if need be, sharp bear trap teeth, claws, the demented eyes and any other horrifying thing he could manage to contort himself into, as long as it scares off whoever he needs too then its fine- the only thing he can't do is escape his box, he's trapped in there and its not just because of the spring but eh, its not like he'd want to leave his world behind now is it? Despite his hatred of the puppet master, he also secretly deep down f e a r s that man... no, that t h i n g... He's terrified of him, especially when he gets mad, he's the only one who knows of Alfie's little world, he's threatened and completely destroyed one of his puppet friends before, destroyed them beyond repair and all because the little jester didn't make him enough money that night... That was the first time he felt another emotion which he isn't too familiar with, nor is it one he likes: Sadness- he can still remember that awful night, the puppets screams, the one torn apart's of agony and the other's screams of terror- after that he began pushing himself as hard as he could to perform well, he never wants h i m back in his world again, not e v e r- so he'll push himself, even if its past his breaking point. I will say, the puppet master- well I can't say if he's Alfie's creator or not, maybe he is, maybe he isn't- but either way, the puppet master DOES possess magic, that much I can say bc I mean how else could he know so much bout the lil jester and his own world he's built up all by himself- a normal human could never figure that out, then again- nobody questions it- they think its just fancy technology powering this little jester that can move, dance, and do s o many things on his own- he can even wind up the box all on his own to get out- definitely technology- the song the box plays is some typical funny sounding carnival music, however- Alfie can also contort the music to play- well whatever he truly feels like at the moment, its just typical funny carny music for the shows (if you see the name Lee and I missed getting rid of it, lemme explain, I originally was going to call him Lee but Alfie fits better to me)

Therapy/Counselling diary #8 (my memory is baaad plus some general frustrations and encouragements)

This past week was kinda hmm... nyeeeeh. I wouldn't say I did anything particularly exciting or new or memorable and I was kinda sickly but it wasn't bad bad and that's all that matters ^^ My memory is bad bad baaaaad in other words, same as usual lol

I’ve decided I’m gonna try to write this weeks (or well, last weeks) stuff using the tumblr app this time, I haven't really used it much, but it's been pretty neat so far aka I cba to clear my desk and use the pc. My typo rate is srsly v. high tho and I wanna shorten the words cuz phone typing and effort but I think I actually type about the same speed with my phone as I do on the PC hah... If only I could read back the text and edit stuff easier as I go along though... oh welp. (Whoa phew, I thought I accidentally posted it by accident lulz the app gives a 'it posted' notification when I save it as a draft what even lol)

This weeks counselling app was... pretty alright, though I'm feeling the pressure and the nerves more now because as predicted I am expected to try even more harder with the communication and skill learning stuff for next time and I really arghhh xwx I only just got over the last wall and the next one seems way more difficult to scale... but I think I can do it... I just need to push away the unhelpful thoughts and persist..! >^<

So that sheet about emotions and thoughts I had to do... I only managed to write two small things but it's something at least, we didn't actually look over it this session because we were still looking at the unhelpful behaviour sheet from last last time which was a slight relief but I still have the sheet now and need to fill it by next week xwx

The behaviour we went over was to do with comparing yourself to others and I really can't remember a lot of the things that was said gdi... maybe I'll just bullet point some of the important stuff and the rest will come back to me easier... and so I don't forget even more lol I'm just feeling extra lazy and unmovtivated hahaha.. ugh @v@"

🍰 Every person has their own views on things/their own way of doing or reacting to things and there is no right or wrong way in essence. Like baking a cake, one person may use so and so ingredients and the other such and such or even something that seems pretty unconventional but they both still result in cakes. Another person may prefer the taste of cake 1 over 2 and another person cake 2 over 1. No one is wrong in their choices, it’s just personal preference.

🥞 All professions work together in harmony and are necessary to make up and keep up a society. There is no need to be ashamed of or think lowly of your profession because it is just as important (eg. trash collector people, some people might think lowly of them but without them there would be a mess of vermin and disease etc etc as juxtaposed with another profession like a doctor which is usually thought highly of).

🍕 The only way to break the cycle is by doing. Doing will provide you with the experience and evidence needed to override your negative presumptions and this in turn will allow you to get past the things holding you back and grow. Your beliefs should run on facts and not irrational thoughts which probably hold no truth at all.

🍔 Like reading a book, you only know as much as you've read (your current and past experiences and beliefs), but there is still so much left to learn and absorb if you push forward and continue. These are some really awfully phrased retellings of the stuff the counsellor told me, but that’s basically all I can remember right now but they give very interesting and useful views on things. Normally I would rephrase them even more or not include the examples but w/e I need to stop being so afraid, just get it all down nice and straightforward and truthful! Yeah, I could've just used the actual bullet point formatting but food emoji is much more exciting of course :D I literally can’t think anymore about last week, I’m just so overwhelmed with this week, my head hurts with the mental effort x^x I decided to go back to using the pc, the app is good for brief things only I guess.

In terms of doing something brave or well out of my comfort zone, I walked down a few streets on my own and went to collect some post. It’s something I’ve done before (though not completely on my own) but I still had a hella awkward time at the desk cause the queue was kind of jumbled and idk if the person before me was actually someone that came after, I thought maybe they were an employee and went behind them instead or maybe they skipped in front idk ugh... I really suck at looking and remembering people’s faces sometimes.

If I wanted to go somewhere else on my own my parents would probably not let me go and my dad would lecture me all the safety things even more than usual (seriously, I get the don’t talk to strangers type of line every single time..!). I’m not a child, I shouldn’t have to ask for permission and this time I didn’t ask, I just said where I was going and why and left but if I tried that to go anywhere else then they’d get ruffled. But the main thing is the communication again I guess, as long as they are informed, it’ll lessen the stress and make them more open to me taking my own initiative.

Like I understand they want me to be safe, it’s what parents do and I obviously don’t want to run into any trouble too, but sometimes being too overprotective and overly cautious means I’m just stuck and can’t grow at all. It just goes to make me even more scared of the world, when I should be out there doing things like everyone else, it sucks.

I know in parents eyes, their daughters and sons will always be their kids, their babies, but at some point they will see them as adults too and well, that just isn’t happening for me. I haven’t proven myself worthy of the adult title and I also feel I don’t deserve it yet, it seems a long way off still but it feels so ridiculous, but what is age but just a number anyways, everyone goes at different paces. I shouldn’t dwell on this too much and just try my best to prove to myself, yes myself first and foremost, that I can be an adult, I can be responsible and independent at least a little more. I need a better action plan really... besides the vague, get a job, learn to drive, cook etc. idk what else @^@” I’m getting a little ahead of myself with even this though, gotta not forget, take things slow and gradually, baby steps!! ^^

In my other endeavours with art and posting things online, it’s just come to a stand still or gone backwards actually, I’ve just gotten so scared again, I can’t put a pen to paper or even leave a comment on other people’s stuff anymore and it feels really awful, like why can’t I just do it and forget about feeling foolish or judged or inadequate, I keep overthinking again gdi..!! >^< I keep wanting to plan things and have things all perfect and ready instead of just getting things done as I go like other people... damn, I keep saying like other people, constantly comparing myself to them, that’s another reason I’ve gotten scared to try again with anything.

Gosh, these unhelpful habits are for reals and are the worst, at least I’m more aware of them though, maybe I can fight them back a bit better now that I know how draining and evil they are... Okay! I challenge you unhelpful habits!! Imma throw you in the trash and get my ass moving! You’ve got nothing on me! I can do it!! Ugh... ;^; No no, no sad! Fight fight fight! Go go go! ò^ó

My sis got me a lot of gifts relating to art, she encourages me through this and her kind words and wants me to do well, I want me to do well too and to show my gratitude with action, so imma do well and make a lot of nice arts to be proud of! They don’t have to be perfect! I saw a quote that was something like ‘even the pages on your bad days are better than the ones on the days you did nothing’ (I just totally butchered that lol) or something like that and it was like, damn, that’s true. A little practice even if it’s not serious is better than nothing at all! Okay okay I’m pumped!

The stuff I had to do this week is to help out at the front of the shop, gain some experience and converse with customers..! I already attempted it once for a short time and welp, it was scary but I guess not that bad (also I kinda botched up a phone order maybe) but I keep reading into things too deeply and negatively and it scared me off and now as usual the week is ending and my opportunities to try are limited, need to get my ass in gear, c’mon I can do it! Don’t be afraid, you’re doing well, keep going! ^^”... go go go! ^u^

Maybe I can kill 2 birds with one stone, sit and observe but also draw, space is limited though so idk if it’ll work out but there’s no harm giving it a try I guess. Must not forget to fill in that emotions/thoughts sheet ugh, I should have done it as I actually do stuff but I do things in bad and unconventional ways. Need to break a lot of habits. I downloaded this app that is supposed to help you build new healthy habits, so far all it’s wanted me to do is to drink water when I wake up so I feel more energised lol but I did it and it does help, I wonder if I can build a lot of other good habits too, it certainly makes things feel more fun in a way.

Everyday in my mind I want to look over the days happenings in a more positive light and congratulate myself for all the small things I did that I maybe I wouldn’t have some weeks ago, so I can see how much I actually improved and have put effort in. Even though on the surface it just all seems meh, I want to let myself see how things have actually become a little easier and how the negative thoughts relating to them has begun to affect me less and take up less space in my conscious. Be proud of yourself and all your endeavours, silly!

Hmm, this post is probably shorter than my usual one but oh well, I don’t want to spend too much time rambling or ruminating or being a paralysed perfectionist, I’ve got other bigger fish to fry! And draw and eat omnomnom! Yolo! x3

Okay okay, now I’m going to go do some artsy fartsy stuff or at least have myself set up for it and my conversing/experience gaining challenge hoo! Believe in yourself, you can do it! Let’s go go! :D

Hiveswap Episode 1 Reaction Part 3: Joey’s room? More like our eternal playground!

Before we start again, I had a random thought about something I learned yesterday.

So, Joey implied she doesn't really have any friends. But on the other hand, she also seemed to imply that she has a boyfriend when examnining the Clarissa poster. If she's so bad at making friends, then I'm really curious to learn more about her boyfriend!

I mean, assuming I understood it correctly, perhaps I misunderstood it and she doesn't actually have a boyfriend. :P

Anyway, day 3 of playing! It's weekend and 4:50 PM right now, let's see how much we'll get done today!

First of all we're gonna check out the closet, then try out some more combinations of using items on other items, there's a bunch of those that we can still try out, with the tap shoes, diary key and Cherub key. Afterwards, we'll probably examine the computer, window, walkie talkie and doors and see if we can advance!

Oooooh, nice, we can actually open the closet!

A bunch of puzzles and other neat stuff in there... including a Simon Says game! I saw that in concept art not too long ago, perhaps there'll be something special about it? ...And I'm not just saying that because it seems to be blinking like hell. :P

Oh boy... we can CHALLENGE the Simon Says game. Is this gonna be a mini-game? xD

plainWonder has a cool theory that Joey might use the batteries of this game for her walkie talkie! After having seen it in concept art I first thought she'd get batteries out of that radio, but perhaps this is a more likely theory!

...Pfff, so she even USED the batties of the walkie talkie ON the Simon Says game in the first place, hahaha.

GREEN BUTTON ISN'T WORKING, looooooool. Hahaha, it was worth the try/nostalgia.

Nope, can't use the batteries on the cherub key, obviously. :P

Oh my god I love all those ridiculous comments when combining items with the ballerina poster. Combining the diary key with it gives some pretty cool insight though, nice.

Diary Key && Hot Steppin' poster ==> Oh???? She's got ANOTHER diary? Looks like this might be the only time we'll ever hear of it though. :P

Interestingly, Joey seems to be SURE that the key is older "by at least a few years" than the movie. I looked it up, the movie came out in 1984, so when Joey was 4 years old! Hmmm, curious!

It reminds me of how Poppop also met some interesting and famous people in his life and became one himself. And B2 Dave and B2 Rose too of course, like plainWonder pointed out! They knew some famous people too (and were famous themselves).

The Homestuck/Hiveswap Kids sure do have a lot famous family members or family members knowing famous people, haha.

Diary Key && Star Avenue poster ==> I like that Ginger: My Story is also an actual book, of 1991. What Pumpkin sure did a lot of research for this game, I really like what they've done!

That's really interesting to know that she's already been up there, meaning she might also be aware of the mysterious device up there that Joey will eventually use to go to Alternia!

Batteries && Sir Bappy Pawswatter ==> Oh dear god, I didn't expect those things ran on batteries. Good thing Jade never found out about that, or at least already removed the batteries. xD

Suddenly realized we could also combine items with the ceiling!

Cherub Key && Ceiling ==> ...That is not the right description. xD Looks like that's the description for Cherub Key && Walkie Talkie.

Diary Key && Ceiling ==> Oh wow, so Ms. Claire painted that when Joey was still a baby! ...Come to think of it, how old was Joey when Ms. Claire died? Was she still a baby when Ms. Claire died or not? Because if she was, I think there's a high chance Jude is NOT her son, which is an idea I've been playing around with already (what with their different surnames and all). If so, the question beckons who IS his mother.

Cherub Key && Animal posters ==> That is indeed the cutest idea ever. Even if they don't get any actual gifts from them, at least they still get some nice licks from them. :P

Batteries && Wardrobe ==> Indeed, and her wardrobe doesn't need batteries either, seeing as it's not a Wardrobifier. :P

Cherub Key && Junior Veterinarian Medkit ==> NO SHIT that it doesn't work like that. xD

Tap Dancer && Junior Veterinarian Medkit ==> Oh okay, so she IS still debating on which profession she would like to have in the future! I wonder if her experiences in this adventure will help her make a choice? Maybe... maybe we'll even be able to INFLUENCE which one she will eventually choose? Like, I could see it happening that she'll take care of Dammek's Lusus at some point perhaps, maybe it will get hurt or something. Not sure how her dancing skills would come into play (other than as fighting skill), but it could happen!

Or maybe it will even depend on how you play the game in general: do you take a more aggressive stance against enemies, fighting them with your dance skills, or do you instead go for a more passive route and take care of the wounded and such?

That would be interesting!

Diary Key && Puppy Surprise ==> Oh wow, we can put the diary key back into the Puppy Surprise! That makes me seem like that is indeed what happened after we tried writing into the diary last time. Hehe, let's retrieve the key for now and try that out in a few seconds.

So, the Diary Key indeed went back into the Puppy Surprise! But sadly, we can't retrieve the key anymore afterwards.

Batteries && Toys on shelf ==> Grandpa gave shotguns to Jude, seriously? ...On the other hand, I really shouldn't be surprised. This is Grandpa/Jake we're talking about, after all. :mspa:

Cherub Key && Toys on shelf ==> Welp... literally a baby. That confirms that I guess. Poor Joey, she really grew up without a mom for the most part. :(

I guess like how all Kids and Trolls seem to grow up with no or only one Guardian around.

Tap shoes && Book shelf ==> Oh yeah, I totally forgot about how for a long time a lot of people didn't consider tap-dancing an actual dance, I believe I've heard that somewhere before.

Diary/Cherub Key && Ballerina figure ==> WELP, that gives the same narration as diary key && Cherub key.

Cherub Key && Wizard glass ball ==> Haha, that reminds me of all the discussions in Homestuck on what is or isn't magic, and also the magical properties of wizards.

Tap shoes && Wizard glass ball ==> I love how there are so many combinations of the tap shoes with another item that cause her to just make a dance.

Tap shoes && Oven ==> Lukewarm-steppin', PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Batteries & Skaianet Calendar ==> OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH, so THAT is the context of that picture! So apparently Skaianet isn't "just" a science company that was sneakily behind Sburb, but is actually a videogame company!!! Huh, I definitely didn't expect that! Now that picture suddenly makes a lot more sense, with them all being videogame figures.

Also, that gives a whole new context to Mom working for Skaianet! I always figured she just did it because she was into science, but the fact that they're actually actively making videogames makes a lot of sense too because we know Roxy is so into videogames!!!

That's definitely a cool mystery that just got solved!

Tap shoes && Skaianet Calendar ==> Oh shit! Alright, so that's confirmation that she is still in fact babysitting them and that it's not a thing from the past. Also, she's got a driving license! I guess it makes sense because she's probably... somewhere around 20 years old? Give or take a few years in either direction.

And like plainWonder said, that gives a REALLY interesting deadline for Joey to either return from Alternia or for Mom to notice something's up! Because 11/11/1994 is a Friday evening, which means that in the morning of the next day Mom should be coming!!!

Hmm... will Joey come back so quickly from Alternia??? Or are we going to get a surprise appearance from Mom in Hauntswitch or maybe even the end of Hiveswap???

Oh god I'd be so excited if she will physically appear in one of these games!

Diary Key && Other Animal posters ==> Wait, the same company made the diary and those posters? Now I'm pretty curious what the name of that company is, haha.

Okay, now it's time to start doing some more (possibly) plot relevant/impactful things!

What with how she mentions keeping up with a bunch of different websites, that reminds me of how Bro's Completely Bullshit thing that helped him keep track of a bunch of different websites.

Heh, apparently we can't turn the computer back off again! That's such a waste of electricity. :P

Let's see what happens if we try to leave Joey's room! She probably won't want to do it, because of the monster outside.

....Yup, that's indeed the case! She wants to warn Jude! Looks like we'll have to use the walkie talkie here, and thus put the batteries in. Which kinda surprises me that we "have" to do this, I thought I saw in concept art somewhere that she had the batteries in her inventory somewhere else? So can we remove them from the walkie talkie again or something?

But first, let's look out the window!

....N'AWWWWWWWWWWW. I was about to say: "Hey, where's Tesseract? I don't see him!" when suddenly he popped out of the dog house. D'awww, so scared. :(

Hey, that stone structure by the wall there, the head kind of looks like a Mother Grub! That's a bit suspicious...

Also, that bush there. It looks a lot like the snakey monster chasing Joey! That's also really suspicious, are these monsters "known" around here? Or at least by Grandpa or something?

Let's see what we can interact with here...

Okay, so she calls the fountain Skull Fountain! ....Yup, still making me think of the Mother Grub there. :P

Poor, POOR puppy! I wonder if there's something Joey and/or Jude can do to make Tesseract come out, or if that's something that will only happen in Hauntswitch?

Pffff, so Jude considers it his "mission control room". In other words, he probably treats it more like 'his' room than his actual room. :P

But... plainWonder's right. As we go on, he progressively sounds more and more like Doc Scratch. I mean... allotting time to 'talk' to us, being smug about being intelligent... This is kind of suspicious.

I highly doubt it's Doc Scratch, that it's just meant to be the narrator, but... HMMMMMMMMM

Okay, we've reached the end of it. Now it just keeps on repeating that the hint function is unavailable. xD

I'm pretty happy that we've just about finished up with the actual introduction of the game (LOL, that took long enough, like, 6-7 hours of gameplay so far holy shit), and can now get diving into more of the actual plot. xD

Oh, I get this, I love Mina’s relationship with the boys in the squad so I’m kinda sad when she’s left out too - though in a certain sense I understand it, as far as Bakugou goes her direct interactions with him aren’t nearly as many as Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari’s? But when she isn’t with Hagakure or the girls’ group she’s always hanging with those three so she’s definitely part of the squad too, which is why I like including her as much as I can haha

But a super duper long time ago back when I still didn’t have this blog, so there shouldn’t be anything of it here sadly (not, my homestuck period was the one in which my style made the least sense since I could kind of do whatever I wanted, which in hindsight helped me shape my current one but as things are now no one should see that stuff ever)
