Cinder: has insomnia

Cress: sleeps in a ball (prefers enclosed spaces because they remind her of the satellite)

Iko: jokes on you, cuz she doesn’t sleep

Jacin: also has insomnia but he lies on his side watching Winter all night

Kai: sleeps on his back like sleeping beauty (with the hands clasped like he’s holding flowers and everything)

Scarlet: doesn’t have a set position but sleeps with her gun under her pillow

holy fuck, i am rereading the lunar chronicles and never realized how much i love the little moments between the rampion crew that blur the lines from friends to family:

• kai getting annoyed at thorne’s good looks when thorne and cinder escape

• kai desperately trying to get cinder to go to the ball with him and gifting her gloves “fit for a princess”

• kai deliberately guiding cinder away from adri and pearl while they are dancing. and not to mention, him physically stopping adri from striking cinder

• kai bargaining for cinders life and saying that he’ll never marry levana if she kills cinder. like you fucking go king

• wolf saying that roland deserved worse after choking him for being disrespectful towards scarlet and telling him “i believe you owe her an apology”

• wolf knowing that scarlet had a gun on her when they first met

• wolf telling scarlet “you came,” when she came to watch him fight at the beginning of scarlet

• jacin calling kai cinder’s “toy” and her punching him in the face and threatening to do it again with her metal hand if he insults either her or kai again

• cress offering to make wolf a sandwich and he says with tomatoes if they have any and adds please

• cress and wolf going to the kai’s wedding together

• wolf leading cress to cinder, iko and kai after they kidnap him, and wolf saying “i thought i smelled his cologne”

• iko’s “this is so much better than a net drama”

• iko threatening to cut off jacin’s hot water because he called her ship

• iko fainting after kai hugged her. and making kai turn around and cinder saying “you’re not looking” at kai and having him turn around when iko was getting fixed by cinder

• kai putting a hand on wolf’s shoulder after he talks about scarlet shooting him and misses her

• scarlet shooting wolf and his response is “when you met me at your door with a gun, it’s nice to know that you meant it”

• kai and thorne’s boy talk

• the kiss + conversation between kai and cinder at the end of cress

• kai hugging cinder after she tells him that she is afraid of becoming just like levana. kai telling her that they need a revolutionary, not a princess

• cinder shoving thorne into the wall after he makes fun of kai and his gorgeous eyes

• cinders panicking after wolf gets shot and jacin giving her his shirt and instructing her on how to save wolf

• cinder shoving jacin into a wall after she realizes that scarlet has been taken

• cinder and jacin’s hostility towards each other is so fucking hilarious like one moment cinder is shoving him into a wall and punching him for insulting her and kai and the next she tells him that she impressed that he can bake flatbread, fly a plane and be a traitor to his country

• thorne offering cinder a goodbye kiss and her responding “wolf is not the only one who can throw a right hook around here”

• wolf fucking decking kai so hard that he stumbles back into cinder

• jacin saying “hey, trouble” when he sees winter

• jacin kissing winters shoulder after she has a hallucination

• winter saving scarlets life from sybil and levana by saying that she wants her as a pet

• scarlet being a total badass and getting levana’s soilders to fight with them and saying “i already have a mate to satisfy my needs”

• scarlet tending to wolf’s wound on his mouth after cinder makes him bleed and saying “she may not get in many hits, but when she does, she makes them count”

• wolf being proud of cinder because she tripped him and he didn’t see it coming

• cinder tripping thorne while she is doing push ups and helping him to his feet and telling him, “you can help me pick out a tiara when we’re done saving the world”

• thorne and cinders hug

• throne telling cress “it turns out you are worth a lot of money on the black market”

• thorne telling cress “i want to open my eyes and see you”

• thorne being absolutely captivated by cress and telling her “the short hair, he said with a half nod. it works.”

• kai smiling while saying “how come no told me i had such steep competition?”

• thorne saying “how could you not know?” and cinder kicking him when maha kelsey says that “ze’ve failed to mentioned that he’s in love with you”

• winter calling scarlet “scarlet-friend” and winter telling a person they won’t hurt her, and scarlet replies “like hell i won’t” when they are escaping

• winter saving cress and jacin pinching the bridge of his nose and telling her “princess, you have to stop collecting these rebels”

• jacin’s stern expression softening into “an almost smile” when he realizes who cress is when he and winter find her

• jacin calling cress his mistress in order to protect her from the guard that found her in his room and jacin apologizing to cress for knowing about who she is and he didn’t do anything

• thorne punching jacin for betraying the rampion crew and then hugging him for keeping cress safe

• kai protecting and helping cress in winter + her throwing her arms around him and “kai stumbled back in surprise, but returned the embrace”

• kai meeting wolf with his shirt off tending to his wounds and wolf drops the needle in his mouth and inclines his head to say “your majesty”

• thorne getting excited that kai knows him when they first meet

• kai immediately asking “where’s cinder?” after he’s kidnapped

Ok so I just fully read The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and I am just so sad it’s over hahaha. I read Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress in middle school (~2013) and never picked up on reading Fairest, Winter, and Stars Above(haven’t finished this yet) but man something about reading this series as a 22 year old really reignited my love for reading again.

Like seriously I’m having trouble thinking of the words to encapsulate how I feel about this series other than extreme happiness. I loved every character and I feel like the series basically read itself I had no issue getting through it all and I found myself getting sad as I was nearing the end.

Anyways I just want to put it out there that the Lunar Chronicles series was such a fun read and I felt like I could really escape into that world and imagine myself in it

P.s. I love Thorne so much
