Come along through the crowded skies of Long Island and over the splendid vistas that make up Central New Jersey for a flight bookended by light profiles of the user-customized airports of Republic and Trenton Mercer. My altitude and navigation weren't as precise as I'd have liked, but the landing more than made up for any slackage. 10 out of 10, would recommend :)

Been a while since I posted any flight sim pics... some of that is because of how busy I've been, but some of that stems from an unfortunate incident when I let the Sloangoose "help" me fly one evening. After Reinstalling MSFS, I am Still With X-Plane Smh
After about 3 months of not having Microsoft Flight Simulator installed on my PC, I decided to give this simulator another shot at taking in the beautiful graphics and amazing FPS I remembered experiencing with mostly Ultra settings on. Well ladies and gentlemen, I am highly disappointed in the recent update. Granted, they are still in development of this “Beta” feeling of a flight simulator. However, the update as of recent and previous from reading articles, have truly broken this game to a place where I am very comfortable with sticking to X-Plane 11 until the third-party Calvary comes along to save the day.
I took a flight from KPHX-KLAX and starting things off wasn’t that bad to be honest. Got the flight plan setup, although they still can’t get the MCDU together with VNAV and proper flight levels. Therefore I relied heavily, as always, on my Navigraph App to make sure I have at least a proper ILS landing approach. During takeoff on the runway, the A320 at the last minute veered off heavily to the left of the runway and I just pulled up to avoid crashing into the water bank lol. During top of cruise, the plane was wobbling all over the place and I had to do the trick where you just turn off and on the Autopilot button and things were okay. When it came to descending, since the MCDU is terrible at this point, the aircraft didn’t really know how to descend properly according to the constraints that the MCDU created itself. Therefore, it was back to the Navigraph for reference and lot’s of playing around the altitude selection until I got to the last waypoints which, had the correct constraints for the aircraft to abide. I wasn’t trusting off it too much so I decided as soon as I see the ILS pop up, I will engage the Approach phase.
An okay landing, although my reverse thruster wasn’t working, and the aircraft quickly veered to the right this time. I got the aircraft stabled nonetheless and parked at the gate in relief, ready to just go back to X-Plane. Overall, I wasn’t happy. Frames were going up and down, but when looking outside the cockpit, consistent 50-60FPS. Not too sure what the company Asobo is going to do with optimization but something needs to be done pretty soon.
Most definitely go back to my previous articles and you’ll understand further that my point is proven: X-Plane is not going anywhere any time soon!
In the meantime check out the beautiful screenshots of my flight in MSFS. Still something of amazement to look at. Hopefully they’ll add a feature where you can record/replay your landings =]
