pleeeeeeeease indie web and scenecore and whatever other subcultures.... have fun and be cringe but PLEASE be careful with your blinkies. if your website has flashing lights that are on by default or that can't be turned off, then it is inaccessible to photosensitive people. if your post has flashing lights, it needs to be tagged. PLEASE. i love indie web stuff but the prevalence of unavoidable flashing lights makes me really anxious!! people have migraines and seizures! please use tags like "flashing lights" and "eye strain," NOT "epilepsy" or "epilepsy warning," and please consider making your site accessible by removing flashing lights or making them avoidable. PLEASE. make the web usable for photosensitive people.
anyways yall should really go check out the yesterweb website, super informative and entertaining and overall cool as fuck. its got a ton of links to other sites too :-)
Maximize enlarges windows to fit the page, and minimizing makes the window reduce down to the 'taskbar' as a button that can be reopened. Start button currently is holding links, but adding more window buttons there is possible.
This layout code is VERY simple and customization is very encouraged.
i remade the homepage of the old 2000s sonic central website and updated it to have more modern up to date sonic media in it

im holding off on making this an entire website for now but if anyone seeing this is interested in basically a fanmade indie web version of the official sonic website and social medias let me know!
tbh i think this video should be required viewing for every single internet user out there. especially if you're sick of social media or find yourself doom scrolling a lot.
a few more scene girls from the picrew wip! should i add another scemo hairstyle? this is the only one i have rn but it feels pretty versatile lmao
text & backgrounds are not mine, found here and here
image ID below the cut
three pixel dolls (in the "prep" or "unique" style) wearing scene/emo style clothing and haircuts. to the left, a femme dark-skinned person wearing mainly purple and green, and a sweater with a skull on it, is in front of a purple checkerboard background, with text that reads "scream your heart out." in the middle, a femme person with a tan skintone wearing blue and pink, with nyan cat on her t-shirt and nyan cat in the background, and with text that reads "rawr." and on the right, a femme light-skinned person in jeans and a splatterpaint top, in front of a background of blue and pink hearts, and with text reading "party like a rockstar".
In other news social media sucks!! I made a new page on my Neocities website, it's a journal and the css layout is inspired by retro sci-fi art and the Star Trek LCARS interface!!
Please help, I have no idea what I am doing (I actually have some clue of what I am doing)
BUT!!!!!
My Neocities website won't show the new code.
I tweaked around with the CSS and HTML of the site as I am using the template maker from sadgrl. I use codepens to play around with it and see how it would look. When I wanted to save my progress into my Neocities page,,,,it won't show the updated website when I click on my URL even though it shows the correct layout in the little preview box next to the link in my profile.
I don't know what to do and I don't know if it was something I screwed up in the code.... anyone who has any clue how to solve this, please help.
P.S: Sorry for any spelling mistakes and weird sentence structure, english is not my ffirst language :p
