Another thing for @lazella! Like my last post, this is based on her TWST x YGO crossover fic, And You Thought Things Were Over. This time, I did the Bracelet Girls from Arc V!

Like Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri, I don't know if they'll be making any appearances in lazella's fic, but I really hope they do. These are just my headcanons, so take them with a grain of salt.

First, Yuzu Hiiragi! I imagine her in Scarabia along with Yuya. She's very thoughtful and smart, has a good head on her shoulders, and despite her hot temper, she has a kind heart and is always looking out for others. She has blue bows to mimic the blue hair clips she always wears. (The game also didn't the right shade of pink for her little hair dangles. I made them lilac to contrast her hair.)

Second, we have Serena (Celina) in Heartslabyul. Now, I know what you're thinking; she's a rebel. Why put her in a place with all those rules? It's two fold. One, the most basic answer is because of her uniform in the anime. It's red, and I just couldn't help myself. Two, she kind of gives off Alice vibes. A girl who lived in a straight and uptight community suddenly thrown into a place where nothing makes sense. I feel like she would question Riddle a lot about the rules and maybe get collared once or twice because of it.

(Her hair bow is white because the game doesn't have a yellow bow option. I think she would have a diamond like in the first picture, but the second was inspired by @wearepopcandies' art of the girls as Queen Cards.)

Next, we have Rin in Ignihyde. Like Yugo, Rin is a mechanic and is very good with machines. She would be the motherly figure that I think the dorm needs, telling them to take breaks, reminding them to take care of themselves, and, probably most importantly, keeping Yugo in check. Idia would learn to fear her since she appears to be everywhere at once and scolds him for his own neglect to his health. Basically, she gives off major Big Sister vibes.

(Again, the game did not have right shade of green for her hair, so I made two, one dark green and one blonde, in order to try and create sort of a visual point of reference for her hair? If that makes sense?)

Finally, we have Ruri Kurosaki, or Lulu Obsidian in the English dub. I put her in Octavinelle with Yuto. Like him, she has a calm disposition and a kind heart. She is also the most graceful of the Bracelet Girls and gives off Kind Big Sister vibes. She's one of the few people that can tell Floyd off without being threatened that he's gonna squeeze her. I couldn't get her hair completely accurate due to the game's limited options.

Edit: Thinking more about it, Ruri might also be a fit for Pomefiore too.

And yes, all the girls have their bracelets. I imagine in this world, the bracelets act like magic pens, letting the girls use magic for a short amount of time. I don't know how magical the bracelets actually are, but considering that they allow the girls to teleport the boys away from each other in order to keep Zarc at bay, I would imagine that the abilities of the bracelets would expand in a world full of magic, and the girls would develop their own magical abilities, like the boys.

Again, take this with a grain of salt since this is not my AU. I know lazella has something amazing planned for the future chapters and I for one cannot wait!

Okay, let’s do Serena’s name.

Serena’s name is written セレナ, Serena. It can be romanized as:

**Celena

**Cerena

**Selena

Because it is a foreign name, we aren’t going to gleam Kanji spelling for it. 

The actual spelling of the Greek goddess Selene is セレーネー (Spelled: Sereenee). In YGO, Serene is spelled as:

セレーネ (Spelling: Seleene, in Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians)

セレン(Spelling: Seren, in Evil Eye of Selene)

The sere セレ, is used in Ceremony (セレモニー), Celestial (セレスティアル), Select (セレクト), Celest (セレスト, in Celestine Wagtail).

As we discussed in Lunalights’ names, the specific Katakana naming here refers to serenade (セレナード).

Serena’s name is an inversion of Asuka’s name,  明日香,  which is 明, bright, 日, day/sun, 香, aroma. Asuka’s 明, a, Kanji, is literally a combination sun, and moon. This Kanji, combined with 天, ten from her surname (天上院, tenjo, 天上, means heaven, or zenith, in, 院, means institution, but here it would be temple.), 天明, tenmei, means daybreak.

So, Serena is the song of the night, Asuka is the smell of bright day(break).

(And yes, Luna Light Perfume uses the same 香 kanji as in Asuka’s name, though it is spelled ga (が) there.)

The goddess Selene has no association with cats, or most other animals in general, though she has a later developed association with Nemean Lion. The cat imagery likely comes from Seline Kyle, and Usagi’s past life as Princess Serenity. Selene is the inspiration of the name of Selenicereus genus. It is also the inspiration of Japan’s second lunar orbiter, known as Kaguya in Japan.

The reason why they went with a Greek origin name is likely because of the Greco-Roman theming going around in GX, alongside the Jewish theming that is more present. This is because GX wanted to go for older mythologies that weren’t Egyptian. (Consider use of Mesoamerican, and Norse mythology in 5D’s).

[fanfic] Demon of Moonlight

Selena broke up with Masumi. It was all her own decision; it had been fun while it lasted, but Selena wanted other things out of her lie in the long run. Exactly what – or who – those others might be, she hadn’t decided yet. So far, in the romance department, nothing really interesting had come along.

Truth to tell, she hadn’t really been looking that much. She enjoyed being on her own. She enjoyed being able to make plans without taking anyone else into account unless she chose to, and being able to change her mind without having to alert someone – or risk someone being upset with her. Whenever she’d wanted to do something on her own before, Masumi could get testy. It wasn’t possessiveness – though being possessive was a very proper demonic trait – but Selena preferred not being quite that tied down.

She hadn’t shook away the notion of perhaps getting back together with Masumi one day, when they were both in different places. But not now.

Until then, she took the time to enjoy herself in whatever way caught her attention. She settled in a broad meadow high up in the mountains that surrounded the demon city, her wings spread wide, and waited as the sun slowly slipped out of sight. It was all she could do to keep her eyes open. It was summer; even as night fell, everything around her was warm and pleasant.

But she did keep herself awake, watching as tiny prickles of light lit the skies. She enjoyed watching the stars, but she waited for something else entirely, the tip of her tail and the ends of her wings twitching with restrained excitement as a circle of shining silver began to glow behind the mountains.

At last, the moon rose up, sending the first silver streaks of light down towards where Selena rested. She closed her eyes and soaked it in, purring at the scent of the power and the way that it filled her. With her magic being lunar-based, she needed to do this once a month in order to renew herself.

Her thoughts tugged themselves back to Masumi, whether she really wanted them to or not. She’d come here with Masumi before. A year earlier when she’d done this, Masumi sat not that far from her, taking the time to infuse some of her gemstones with the lunar magics. It had been a very pleasant way to spend time together.

Part of her still wanted to see what Masumi was up to now. Rumor had it that she’d taken an angel captive. Selena didn’t know how true that was, and she admitted there was a tiny scrap of jealousy at the concept. But there was also a faint whisper of if she’d moved on, then I should to.

She could choose someone else. Perhaps not an angel – Selena refused to do that – but there were other demons. Or even a human. It wasn’t impossible. She would consider it. Later. After she recharged.

Arc V vampire AU

I randomly started imagining a vampire AU for Arc V. So far I mostly have characters rôle, but I may start building a story. And draw for it (well I already have some designs but I feel like I could draw short comics for that).

Anyway enjoy the AU !

The setting is a pretty classic fantasy thing, something looking like XVI century europe.

First group : Yugo and Yuzu

Yugo : A poor orphan who worked for some horses breeders and sellers with his childhood friend Rin. When she disappeared, he left with the best horse to save her. On his way, he meets Yuzu who tell him Rin was probably taken by vampires.

Yuzu : She had a pretty peaceful life, living with her father and her dear friend Yuya. She also befriended Sora, who teached her swordfighting, but happened to be a vampire. After facing some other vampire, she grabbed her best silver sword and went on a journey to protect humans from vampires, and vampires from humans.

Second group : Ruri and Selena

Ruri : She was living with her brother Shun in a monastery, where they were adopted after their parents were killed by a vampire. She was always told vampires were evil, and learned all kind of way to fight them. But, one day, she meets Selena and falls in love with her. Knowing that if Shun learns about it he'll kill Selena, she run away with her.

Selena : a pretty powerful vampire who refused to consider human just as food and an away from her clan. She met Ruri, who hide her a bit before leaving with her. She mostly wants to stay away from her clan, but also to fight it if they become too dangerous for humans.

Third group : Reiji, Layra, Rin and Yuya

Reiji : A nobleman dedicated to study vampires. He's behind most of the known way to kill them, even though he doesnt hate them. He just wants humans to live in peace with them.

Layra : Reiji's younger sibling, who seems to have a strong connection with vampires. He can sense their presence, and is immune to their power. He helps his brother in his research.

Rin : After being kidnapped by Yuri's clan, she was sent to him. Seeing a great potential in her, he turned her into a vampire after drinking most of her blood. She managed to escape, but she decided to not go back to Yugo. She'd rather have him thinking she died than seeing her like this. She then met Reiji, who told her he maybe could find a way to turn her human again.

Yuya : The night yuzu left was a full moon. It's at this moment Yuya turned into a wolf for the first time. When he turned back human, he realized he couldn't control himself during this time and decided to leave his house. He also met Reiji, who helped him and is really interested in studying a werewolf.

Single characters :

Sora : A thin blood vampire, who was following the old and powerful vampire Leo before meeting with Yuya and Yuzu. When he was asked to bring Yuzu back, he rebelled and left to go help her. Sugar seems to efficiantly replace blood for him.

Shun : Ruri's older brother, a priest full of anger toward vampires. He thinks his sister was kidnapped by them, and left immediately to get his revenge.

Yuto : Ruri's and Shun's friend. Ruri told him about Selena before leaving, and he promised to not tell Shun and help her. But when Shun left, he decided to leave too to find Ruri and warn her that her brother would kill Selena, and maybe stop him before he does anything.

Dennis : Yuri's ghoul (a human drinking vampire blood, becoming his servant and has better strenght and resistance). He appears as a simple wandering magician, who goes from village to village to entertain people. He actually kidnapp some people to bring them to Yuri, alongside informations about the world.

Yuri : a very powerful vampire, who get hurt by any strong light. Therefore, he never leaves his house. He's really interested in Yuya.

Sawatari : A rich kid from a very old werewolf family who leaves amongst humans. He's actually unable to transform at full moon and acts as if he just didnt want to. To find a way to awaken his power, he goes with Ruri and Selena a bit (also because he doesn't immediatly realize they are girlfriends). He also meets Yuya. At first, he's jealous of his power but then really loves him to the point he finally turns into a wolf to stop him, while yuya was out of control again.

Masumi : a skilled blacksmith, respected all around the country for her silver weapon, made to fight vampires. She helps Yuzu a lot in her quest.

Had to delete the first post because I posted it on the wrong blog.

@homura-bakura Eyo. I am your Santa for the Yu-Gi-Oh Secret Santa this year.

Originally I was gonna do Yuzu and Selena. Which is why they are the same height. If I’m correct I’m fairly sure that Selena is shorter than Gloria. But then I re-read the message that was sent to me and saw that Yuzu and Selena was a no-go. That and I wanted to try challenging myself.

I wove in a slight Pokemon AU. In which Selena and Gloria get transported into one of the Pokemon Regions. Gloria is confused as to what exactly a pokemon is. And why she has one. Selena on the other hand is confused as to why:

1) Gloria is holding her hand

2) why they were in this world

3) Why the hell did she think Gloria was so cute in the sunset scene behind them?

finally. My drawing program was being stupid and decided to crash on me after i had finished all the shading. so I decided to post it as is. If you want the shaded version. I can post it at a later date, just hit me with a message.

I hope you like it. It was hella difficult to translate the Yu-Gi-Oh style into mine and still make it the Characters. I did the best I could.
