None of this was planned or thought through. Just happened. Your introduction to House Lannister just…happened. Some would say you were lucky, others that you were cursed to have to deal with this family, but none of that really mattered. It didn't matter because you're with them and they won't let you.

Contrary to what many people think, your family was already close in the right measure to the Lannisters, your family was from a House Vassal of the Lannisters so you already had a connection, but it wasn't really strong or similar to what it became in the next few years. Your mother was a close friend of Joanna's and both of them shared the pregnancy, you grew up alongside the twins and that was something that solidified the bond between the three of you.

You, Cersei and Jamie were inseparable. Though Tywin was initially apprehensive about this relationship, Joanna eased her husband's concerns by demonstrating how much she adored you too. It was quite common to see the three of you playing together at Casterly Rock for everyone's amusement. The three of you were never apart, and Cersei sulked when she was forced to say goodbye to you. She hated it.

Tywin was never really close to you, it wasn't because he had anything against you or anything, he was just distant. But that all changed when tragedy struck your family and you were forced to flee to the protection of the Lannisters. Your parents had apparently insulted the Mad King and, as a form of punishment, he had given orders to burn your family. You were the only one to survive because you were protected by Tywin and Joanna. They were your family now. Whether you want to or not.

Cersei was over the moon when she heard you were her sibiling now. And Jamie couldn't be happier to finally have you with them, really with them. Joanna didn't mind, she was happy and she really adored you and was quick to refer to you as hers, Tywin tried to be rational and the voice of reason saying you'd just stay with them until everything worked out, but nothing would work out, not after he became as obsessed with you as the rest of your family.

Joanna was a loving and very kind mother, she absolutely adored you and spoiled you in spades. You were allowed to do whatever you wanted and get away with no punishment. She tried to fight her growing obsession, she really tried out of consideration for her late friend but when you called her ''mother'' for the first time, there was no going back. You were hers from that moment on. She loves spending time with you, reading or doing whatever you like.

Tywin was an authoritative figure and that has never changed over the years, he has only the best for you in mind and that's why he is so strict, but he has a soft side that shows only to his wife and you. He tries to be as tough as his wife doesn't even try, but he will always give in to you. Especially if you look at him with tears in your eyes, his heart melts right there and he does what you ask on the spot. Just like Joanna, you can get away with whatever you do because to him you could never do wrong. You were perfect, and anyone who dared to disagree would find it no good to cross Tywin Lannister.

Jamie is the quietest of his family, he is the understanding brother with your feelings and is always there to protect and take care of you. He is the most protective of his family and he is very suspicious of anyone who tries to get too close to you. He will get into fights for you, feeling proud and triumphant when he gets your support during a fight. Jamie adores you so much, you're the closest thing to an understanding brother he's ever had and he'd be damned if he let anyone take you away. You were a Lannister and always would be.

Cersei is the most possessive and greedy of her family, she will do anything to get your attention and will fly into a rage if she doesn't get it. She hates sharing you with anyone other than her and her twin brother. Cersei might even see you as she sees Jamie, as an extension of herself and not really a person. Like a possession. Something that belongs to her and she's not the type to share. She loves spending time with you, talking, gossiping or just enjoying your company.

The whole family was happy, everyone adored you and you adored them. Everything was perfect. Tywin and Joanna were your loving parents and Cersei and Jamie your mischievous and clingy siblings. Everything was perfect like it's never been before. Until Joanna got pregnant again. Everyone was happy about her pregnancy, including you who were longing for a younger sibling. Cersei wasn't really happy about it all, seeing as you seemed to spend more time with mom than with her because of the pregnancy. Jamie had no problem with that, not like her sister, and just enjoyed this period of Joanna's life.

When the day of delivery finally came, it was difficult and painful, you were there the whole time and you saw Joanna Lannister die. Your mother. It was as if your world had collapsed, not just yours, but Tywin and the twins' as well. You welcomed with joy Tyrion, but your father and sibilings did not. They rejected him, treating him like nothing and blaming him for Joanna's death. During the long period of mourning, you were the only company Tywin sought out. You tried to comfort him and seek solace for yourself, you were the only one to witness the Lord of Casterly Rock's vulnerability.

You were Tyrion's only constant companion as he grew up, constantly despised by his family and those around him for being a dwarf, he clung to you more and more. You were the only person who really cared for him, the one who convinced Tywin and Cersei to act with a modicum of decency around Tyrion, at least while you're around.

Tyrion is the most abrasive of his family regarding his obsession with you, he knows very well that his feelings are wrong, to say the least, but he tries to control as much as he can, although he can't help but be so attached to you. He craves your attention and approval as he grows up and even as an adult that hasn't changed. He wants your approval, if he can't get it from his father then he wants his. He is very kind to you, but he is still a Lannister, and may the Seven have mercy on anyone who dares to harm you, for Tyrion would be sure to ruin them utterly.

All Lannisters are obsessed with you in their own way and have their own infighting, Tywin and Cersei want to keep you away from Tyrion as they are sure Tyrion will be your undoing, Jamie is happy to see that you care too about your brother and he makes sure you spend your days with him and Tyrion, much to the chagrin of your father and sister. They all fight each other and wouldn't mind killing each other to have you. But everything changes when there is a threat against you and they all quickly join together to get rid of that threat quickly and painfully. May the Seven forbid anything to happen to you, for you can be sure the whole family would go wild and most likely blame each other.

There are rumors that Tywin supported Robert Baratheon because of a personal revenge, some say it was because of what the Mad King did for your dead family, others say it's because Rhaegar insulted him. Rhaegar insulted him by wanting to take you as his spouse instead of Cersei, and Tywin could not allow that. He would not allow his beloved child to be taken from him. And Cersei agreed with that completely, she didn't want you to marry and leave her, Jamie didn't seem to mind too much but he doesn't like the idea of being taken away from you, as long as you were happy he would be fine. Tyrion is the most selfless and says that if you ever want to marry, he will support you, as long as it is someone he has highly valued. You are a Lannister and therefore you must have only the best and your family will ensure that. They promise you.

Slenderman

I see Slenderman as an entity who uses his power to control more and more of the human world,but at the same time I can still see some sort of "humanity"

He took in Sally because he felt pity for her and treated her as his daughter after all,so I believe there are still some feelings underneath all of this darkness

Using and desposing residents is no strange occurrence to him,yet he is able to form bonds with them and see them as more than possessions and valuable minions

Because of this,there are definitely exceptions on who he decides to kill and who he decides to punish and to what degree.The others have an idea who is more favoured than the other

Cody

he's fresh meat,new to the proxy team,yet he's already pissing the living hell out of Masky

Cody's skills sure can be a threat to the power hierarchy among the proxies,altough he would selfishly want more he won't get promoted solely because you're already all the team needs Slendy's words,not mine

He has a special sibling-like relationship with Toby,at first he looked up to him as a mentor but now he became a little cheeky shit and wants to overpower him,kinda like how smaller siblings would want to do

He's also in the lab 80% of his working time,so no one really sees him that often which means he has time to do and clean up the messes he does with his chemicals

Cody is no longer the loser everyone in his life assumed him to be.He has power and became mentally and physically way stronger,it's only normal for him to want to be seen as the bigger/stronger person,the one who can finally protect what he loves do what you want with this information

Toby

Mister insecurity himself.He was bullied outside of the mansion and now he's bullied by slightly more deranged and dangerous motherfuckers.I feel bad for him to be honest

I believe the residents choose to keep their memories or not(or they are punished to lose them and have to work to get them back)from before they were abducted in the mansion,but Toby choose to lose a part of them and now he feels bad for it,especially because he cannot truly remember his sister's face

He believes he was a coward because of this and now he does everything in his power to prove to himself otherwise,but the constant toxic environment doesn't really let him to

Even if he is allowed to go to town he might lose his control and that isn't really good for him and his "work".He cannot be with people and cannot be alone,except some emo moments from him

Yeah,he was fucked by Natalie a couple of times when he was sort of new in the mansion,but nothing too serious happened between them.Now he resents and slut shames her but never to her face,he's kinda afraid of her lol

Clockwork

she has no shame whatsoever,would talk the dirtiest pornographic/goriest content over breakfast like it's the morning news

I headcanon her as a chaotic bisexual

There are reasons why she's here,so she's not all sweets and roses.She slept with Toby and made his mommy issues worse.After she got bored of her boy toy she ditched him and now they have this "bad blood" with each other

She was lonely but Toby had too many issues and she really needed someone to improve her,that's why they are now not in the greatest terms

She doesn't like Nina because Jane doesn't like her,it's kinda like how your best friend has beef with someone and now you have it too

I see her,Jane and Liu being mostly seen together because they tend to get along really well.She's definitely the glue that keeps the group together

Jane

strong woman.Definetly uses way too much perfume so her presence is always known,it's her assassination signature

Altough Clockwork puts on a strong and confident demeanor,Masky would avoid Jane the most she gives him the creeps

The reason she doesn't like Nina it's because of her past involving Jeff,she would never forgive her bad decisions.She surprisingly gets along with Liu because of his cool demeanour and his ability to calm her down

In terms of Sully,she actually is the one to mellow him down

She observes a lot and doesn't talk much,I see her listening to goth music in her room while she reminisces over her past life

Jane either ignores or gets extremely violent with Jeff,but all of the aggression is MOSTLY started by Jeff

Liu

he's a sweet guy.He's the calm after the storm while Sully is most like the actual storm

I see Liu having trust issues and would need a while to get intimate with someone,he labels himself demisexual, much to Sully's disapproval since he puts his dick into anything that has a hole

He's the only friendly face you would see when you need one

Liu has strong opinions and moral codes despite his work,I headcanon him as a feminist tbh

You will know when Sully takes over,even tough he likes to pretend he's still Liu for personal reasons, the eyes never lie ("the eyes chico,they never lie")

Jeff

he definitely has issues but he loves himself

don't let this ass fool you,if you go trough all the layers you will witness mister insecurity 2.0

uses his looks to his advantage.Jumpscares people,tries to overpower them,eats only gym shit and he's blasting metal everytime he works out

this guy loves when women fight,finds it especially amusing whenever Clockwork starts to fuck up Zero smh

his trauma doesn't justify his actions tough.Everytime he gets bored he goes out and tortures his victims for hours,rapes them,photograph and humiliate them just because he feels like it.

Jeffrey has his moment of question about his morals but he will simply get high and try to puff puff pass these thoughts away

The only person who stands him is Ben,and even if Jeff won't admit it,he's secretly grateful he has someone.Sure,Liu cares about his brother and even if they act as if nothing has happened between them sometimes,he knows that everyone gave up on him.

The tought terrifies and soothes him.He wants to be free and to fuck up even more but at the same time he wants one more chance

He gets high with Jeff,but do they get along outside of this?Not really,but they are okaish with each other.I would say they are buddies,not really friends

Jane gives him the creeps,it's something about her presence that doesn't allow him to insult her,that's why he decided to avoid her as much as possible

Secretly respects Natalie's strength,wishes to train with her or have a friendly battle but outside the fact that he doesn't really has the chance to,he would be too ashamed if he would lose to a woman lmao

He could overpower her but he's more impulsive while Clockwork can think before she blows a hit

well, first, let's get the obvious out of the way. Even with you involved, it would take a long time for Ayato and Childe to get along to the point where they don't fantasize about killing the other constantly

I mean, one is a Fatui Harbinger, so it's basically in his job description, and the other is the Head of his Clan, highly respected by his people, and expected to lead them fairly

and yet still, both have fallen madly in love with you. So for your sake, they try and get along, and over time, a genuine bond seems to grow out of it, which makes you all the more happier

since Childe has a lot of travelling to do with his job, it was mutually decided between you three that you would move in at Ayato's estate, and Childe could always come and visit whenever he has free time

Usually, when the Ginger comes around, you spend all of your time either with him alone, or with all of them together. In your eyes, Ayato has you all to himself most of the time, so when Childe is here, you spend as much time with him as possible, to make up for when he was gone

even knowing your job as a baker, the boys discover your passion for baking very early on. Whenever you got some free time to spare, you like to spend it in the kitchen, trying out new recipies that you found

sure, it's part of your job, but they are genuinely happy that you get to live off of your passion. With Ayato gifting you a small shop in Inazuma City that you can design like you want, and Childe declaring few of his underlings as your workers, you're fully equipped to open up a shop of your own, something that you've always dreamed of doing

the boys are just happy to see you all happy and smiling, gushing to them about the plans you have, what you want to put on your menu, etc. They are all smiles when they listen to you, clinging onto every word that leaves your lips

even with all the baking you do at work, you still often come home and head directly to the kitchen, baking some simple cookies or such for your boyfriends, loving when you see their faces light up when they eat your baked goodies

sometimes, Thoma also comes around, drawn in by the smell of it, and he always offers to help you with it, so you can make even larger badges. Wether you take him up on the offer or not, he respects your decision

Childe also likes to help you out from time to time. However, Ayato is no longer allowed in the kitchen. He "helped" you one time, and he put so many weird ingredients in the dough, the brownies tasting so weird that you'd banned him from the kitchen. He sulked about it at first, but came to terms with it. In the end, he still gets to enjoy your baking, so he can deal with it

when Childe tells you that he has to leave again soon, you sometimes bake him stuff that's a bit more durable, so he has something to enjoy during his journey back

days spend with the two of them are either one of two things. They are either the most exciting days you've ever experienced in your life, or they are spend just relaxing and cuddling, trying to make as much of the company you get to share while it lasts

You've experienced many adventures with them, as they are often taking you out to explore the islands of Inazuma, or even to other nations where you get to try as much food as you can

they love to see your face brighten up with excitement and since they both have a lot of money to spend, they love to spoil you by buying things for you. Wether that be food, a shop, juwelery or whatever else it is you wish for. Just say the word and one of them will buy it for you

Gift giving is a big love language for both Ayato and Childe. Childe always brings many presents when he returns from another trip and Ayato surprises you with a gift at least twice a week. It's just how they express their love to you

generally, they treat you very gently and with care. They are both powerful people, but they'd never want you to be afraid of them. They don't care if others think of them as weak for that. For you, they'd gladly be percieved as such if only you are happy

overall, I'd give this relationship dynamic like a solid 7,5-8/10. With both Ayato and Childe, you are very well taken care of and loved. What more could one wish for when having them both as your loving partners?

Anyway, I was curious, do you have any HC of what if Happy Family!AU meets with semi-cannon verse of RenJingHeng (that's still trying to bond with Yanqing despite their ✨Issues✨)?

I imagine it would be double the chaos since now they have TWO reckless, self-sacrificial, and insecure teen to watch over. That, and I want the HCQ to react to a what-if versions of themselves lolz. This could either go very well, or they just straight up start criticizing e/o method of parenting, and I can't make up my mind of which is better.

I do have HCs for this!!! I constantly compare the semi-cannon with the AU so I can differentiate their personalities and parenting styles.

I'll group them by character to make it easier.

Dan Feng- Dan Heng

They do not get along and Dan Feng started it. Dan Feng is very protective and doting to Yanqing.

He worries for Yanqing's wellbeing constantly and in his eyes, Dan Heng is neglectful and both Yanqing's should come home with him. Dan Heng's aloofness and his difficulties in connecting make Yanqing feel unsure of where he fits in RenJingHeng's new relationship.

To Dan Heng, Dan Feng's displays of affection contrast with his responsibility to the Vidyadhara, which leads Yanqing to make himself small so he doesn't stress out his father.

"How can you be okay with him going off like that? Getting possessed, sneaking off? He's practically skin and bones! Not to mention, you almost killed him. What kind of father are you?"

"You're one to talk to. Your son is so worried about disappointing you that he puts himself in harm's way constantly to prove himself!"

"Your's does the same!"

This ends with both of them crying and being very upset. Dan Feng has always struggled with emotions and can only communicate through words and acts of affection. Dan Heng is unsure how to communicate and care for Yanqing since he was never allowed to be a child and has no idea how to fit himself into the family dynamics.

Yingxing- Ren

They also do not get along and Ren is responsible for it.

Yingxing is very affectionate to Yanqing despite his strictness. Ren is not affectionate at all and approaches the relationship with a bit of teasing but also a constant state of "you are a child but are nothing like Silver Wolf, so I don't know how to communicate with you."

Yingxing sort of pities Ren since he sees Ren's marastruck fate as what could have happened to him if the Blessings of the Arbor went awry.

But this does not stop either of them from disliking each other. Unlike Dan Heng and Dan Feng, they do not engage with each other at all and instead actively ignore each other.

To Yingxing, Ren is confused and doesn't know how to interact with other people. However, his confusion creates more confusion for Yanqing, who believes that he is being pushed out of the family because of Canon! Jing Yuan is spending more time to incorporate Ren into his life.

To Ren though, Yingxing is a hypocrite. While Ren doesn't know how to interact with Yanqing, Yingxing is the same with his child. He doesn't understand why his child is sacrificial and reckless as if they weren't the traits he saw valued by his parents- their sacrificial and reckless actions in service to the Luofu.

AU! Jing Yuan - Canon! Jing Yuan

They get along pretty well since they are both very mellow people and their nature allows them to understand the other. Their time is spent comparing their respective sons. Hobbies? Favorite foods? Even habits as babies?

Some are similar like sword collecting but others are very different like AU! Yanqing prefers Vidyadhara seafood cuisine and spicy food over Canon! Yanqing prefers savory food from the Luofu and sweet treats like pudding and boba.

They also talk about their worries for their son. About how AU! Yanqing keeps throwing himself in danger to save his comrades even though his death would break his family's heart or how Canon! Yanqing keeps searching for stronger and stronger opponents in a relentless need to improve.

Jingliu

They don't talk at all. I don't see either of them seeing any merit in talking with each other. Instead, they communicate with their blades. To them, crossing blades with an opponent tells them what they need to know. The fight takes 30 minutes and by the end of it, both parties take their leave and stay silent for the rest of the day. If you asked the others, they could not tell you a single thing said during the fight. However, to the sword masters, they knew all they needed to know.

Baiheng

Well, she sort of dead in the canon so there isn't anything she can react to. She is, however, very sad that she passed and left Jing Yuan alone. even if her death was for a good cause.

AU! Yanqing- Canon! Yanqing

They talk about swords. That is honestly it. Their parents are fighting each other so they thought it would be best to avoid additional confrontation. They have also repressed a lot of their childhood insecurities so both of them are not exactly aware of the fact their behaviors are not the healthiest.

AU! Yanqing throws himself in the line of fire because he's seen his parents do it. He wants to protect the Luofu because his fathers spent so much time governing it and ensuring its peace and prosperity. But also, deep down, he wants to show that he is worthy of being their son.

Canon! Yanqing masters the sword not for glory, but to ease the general's burden. They do not call each other father and son even though both parties see each other that way. However, since things are never said, Yanqing believes Jing Yuan sees him as merely an apprentice rather than family. So now that Jing Yuan is bringing Dan Heng and Ren into his life, Yanqing is waiting for when he'll be served the eviction notice.

I think I have a little idea I can talk about for this :) Ramattra is the main yandere in this since Zenyatta is a bit too tame.

Yandere! Platonic! Zenyatta + Ramattra with Omnic! Darling

(Shambali Monk Era Idea)

Pairing: Platonic - Sharing -> Rivalry

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Overprotective behavior, The sharing is implied to became a rivalry near the end, Some angst, Religious themes, Jealousy, Possessive behavior, Not really TOO yandere but that's because Zenyatta is so tame, Forced companionship.

The one thing that comes to mind is when Zenyatta and Ramattra were both monks.

Perhaps you were also a monk, sharing camaraderie in your beliefs.

You were all Shambali monks for years, which causes the two to grow close to you.

Zenyatta was much more peaceful and tranquil while Ramattra often harbored resentment and discord.

The two acted like brothers to one another, although they see you in a similar light.

As a fellow Omnic monk... the two naturally feel bonded to you.

You're bonded by the same religion and similar beliefs.

All of your conversations are usually with the two, whatever they may be about.

I imagine at first they're fine with sharing.

Zenyatta has always been one to share his obsession... but Ramattra leans more on the possessive side.

Zenyatta often speaks to you about accepting others, no matter what they may think.

He wants you to accept humans as equals, despite you clearly being different from them.

Meanwhile Ramattra shares a different sentiment, often blaming humans for the issues with Omnic kind.

You do not blame his fire... but you also think on Zenyatta's thoughts too.

You care for the two... like siblings.

They are your brothers... you adore them and learn from them.

The two, mostly Ramattra, get jealous when you speak with those outside the temple.

Zenyatta is naturally more accepting, allowing you to communicate with humans and Omnics alike as you speak to others about your teachings.

Ramattra is more cautious, often showing disdain when he sees you speak with humans and compliant Omnics.

Why don't you understand that speaking with humans will hurt you?

The two are naturally protective of you.

It's just that one of them is more understanding of the other.

Affection is primarily verbal, you know they care for you by their words and some tasks they do for you.

You worship with them... then things fall apart.

Once the assassination of Mondatta occurs, a rift forms between you three.

Ramattra's hate towards humans boils over, plans for Null Sector brew in his mind.

Zenyatta tries to dissuade Ramattra's thoughts... while Ramattra tries to convince you to support him.

Your bond is torn... but both Omnics don't wish to let you go.

You begin to isolate yourself from your brethren, not daring to speak with them.

When Ramattra makes the decision to leave the Monastery, he comes to you to try and recruit you.

Surely you see that humans are the enemy now... do you not?

Their sharing would become a rivalry due to Ramattra's differing beliefs.

Zenyatta has already refused him, he at least wants you to support him.

But Zenyatta... eager not to have you leave him, urges you not to accept.

This rift brews their rivalry... both Omnics willing to do anything to keep their beloved companion.

i wonder if people would be okay with eddie being bisexual. shannon as the only woman he fell in love with and buck as the only man eddie fell in love with. bisexual people also suffer from catholic guilt (i'm bi, latina and my family is catholic), but i don't think 9-1-1 would give us bi4bi romance. i just hope that, if eddie is bi, fans don't get mad and say things like 'it doesn't make sense'

Oh goodness, now we're getting into some iffy territory here. So, WARNING, if you follow my blog, you may already know that I personally headcanon Eddie as a repressed gay man, and not bisexual. And I have very specific reasons for that. HOWEVER, if the show DID want to go with Eddie also being bisexual, I would 100% accept that, because you're right bisexual people 100% also experience catholic guilt and comphet as well. All of that could definitely fit into the bisexual experience too. It would also make sense to the story...to a certain degree. So here's my warning again, I'm going to dive into my headcanon here, so be warned this is just MY opinion and is not indicative of all queer experiences real, fictional or otherwise.

Here's my reasons why I feel the story aligns closer to repressed gay than bisexual for Eddie. I simply don't believe that Eddie really ever was in love with Shannon. Loved her as his best friend, yes. Deeply loved her as the mother of his child? Yes. Loved her as a person? Yes. In deep romantic love with her? No. Nothing I've seen from their relationship, not the sex, not their "sweet" moments, or the vulnerable moments, nothing has ever made me ever believe they were in love love. I totally realize that that's my personal opinion and other people see it differently, I understand that, and I respect other people's personal opinions on the matter. This is not a knock against Shannon as a character, but just my individual feelings on their relationship. This was my opinion back when season 3 was still airing and I saw the show for the first time, and it's still my opinion now.

However, back in season 3/4 I actually still believed Eddie could be bi, for sure. And I would've been absolutely THRILLED with a bi4bi story from Buddie.

After all, just because Eddie wasn't in love with Shannon didn't mean he couldn't fall in love with another woman (or man), right? But then came Ana Flores....and then Vanessa...and then came Marisol....and the pattern kept going and I simply COULD NOT justify any of his behavior as actually really being attracted to/wanting/loving ANY of these women.

I understand that plenty of heterosexual and bisexual men also have this kind of avoidant-attachment relationship style, and that it could also stem from trauma, the way he grew up, patriarchy, etc, but the way he FORCES himself to be in a relationship with these women. The way he NEVER allows a genuine bond with a woman to just grow naturally and always has to force it to start, and then desperately cut it off when he's finally reached his limit, truly feels like he's torturing himself. And I'm so sorry, but I feel like if you were a person who genuinely wanted to be with a woman or a man, or anyone, in any capacity, you would not be torturing yourself over being with them.

Especially when I look at him in comparison to Buck, a canon bisexual man. I never once doubted that Buck actually loved Abby. I never once doubted that Buck was actually trying in his relationships with Ali, Taylor, and Natalia. When he was interested in these women it didn't feel forced. Unhealthy? Sure. Not the right fit for him? Absolutely. But forced? Like he was only doing it because he thought he had to? Never. Sure, maybe Buck held on longer than he should've because he didn't want to lose them, but that's because he still wanted their love even if it wasn't healthy for him.

I don't see any of that with Eddie. Shannon, and Eddie's relationship with her, has always felt like a crutch for Eddie, like an excuse, before she came back, when she was present, and long LONG after she died. So the argument that "well Ana and Marisol just aren't Shannon" will never work for me.

I also think Eddie being demisexual would be a better fit narratively at this point than bisexual as well. But then again, there's overlap and it's all very subjective and yeah--just a lot of queer theory to get into that I'm not an expert on, so I'm just gonna reiterate again. This is just my opinion.

If the show really wanted Eddie to be bisexual, and stated it as such, I would be fine with it, and I would accept it graciously and happily. But I do honestly feel like it wouldn't really fit well into the story they've been telling. At this point in time, with everything that we know, and everything we've seen, the only thing that I believe truly fits with the narrative is that Eddie's a repressed gay man and/or demisexual.

But if real-life bisexual people see themselves in Eddie, that will ALWAYS be valid, regardless of what the show says in regards to his sexuality. Fuck, they'll probably just leave him unlabeled regardless, in which case, any and all headcanons are valid.

This is a nuanced topic, and I do admit that IN REAL LIFE (remember I'm just discussing FICTIONAL characters here based purely on what a NARRATIVE has shown us which is all we can truly take as fact) someone in Eddie's position could for sure be bisexual and have this exact same experience.

I just think in my personal subjective opinion that with all we've seen in canon thus far, it would feel most organic to the story (and doesn't make Eddie look like a fucking asshole who chooses not to care at all about the women he's dating) if he realized he was a repressed gay man.

For these two anons who asked for them, have some Chapter Thoughts, 411-version. Herein can be found two big chunks of musing about, respectively, OFA & Shigaraki and the Shigaraki+Deku+Spinner confluence, as well as the usual handful of stray thoughts.

(I'm also going to throw in a few last minute thoughts about plot events between here and the last chapter I had a post on, Chapter 392. They'll be off-the-cuff and not comprehensive; feel free to send an ask if there's anything specific you're curious about, though I can't at this time promise e.g. the twelve thousand word essay on why the AFO vs. All Might fight sucks rocks.)

Chapter Thoughts — Chapter 411: History's Greatest Villain

OFA Vestiges vs. Shigaraki Tomura

Shinomori remains my favorite OFA bearer by a large margin; I enjoy how his quirk allows him to be the one bearer with his act together this chapter. I also like that him being the vestige that actively chooses to sacrifice “himself” for the good of the rest of One For All makes a nice bookend with my preferred headcanon that he was the bearer who had the power forced on him against his will. That said, it is a bit ironic that Danger Sense surely had to rank right up near the top of OFA quirks that it’s most dangerous for Deku to lose to Shigaraki! Like, throw Shigaraki En or something; Smoke Screen’s not going to let Shigaraki do anything Deku can’t counter with Danger Sense! Sacrifice Nana; Deku and Shigaraki both already have ways to keep aloft enough.[1] So I appreciate both the display of Shinomori’s instinctive heroism and the dramatic choice to deprive Deku of such a key component of his defense, after god knows how many chapters of dramatic choices I pretty much hate across the board. 1: That said, it does look like the person Shinomori shoved most directly out of the way was Banjo, his own successor, which speaks to their bond and also spares Deku losing a crucial quirk, as Black Whip has been his main way to exert any control at all over the battle with Shigaraki and is also helping keep his arms braced. As someone who wanted those humerus consequences after the first war, I say, “Go, Shigaraki, go! Get the Sixth next!”

My god, the rest of them are such a mess this chapter. Very funny, actually. Shaking my head at them in there talking about how to “bring down” Shigaraki, who they know good and well Deku wants to help. “Our entire reason for still existing!” No, Bro Bro, you existed solely to take down All For One, which Bakugou et. al. have neatly taken care of for you. The only other purpose ever given to you was to save people, but I guess you’ve already forgotten that. Seriously, I love the discord this chapter, the panic and fear, particularly from the youthful En—watching that unified will crumble in the face of Shigaraki’s hatred is a wonderful balm to all the times I had to suffer through seeing commenters elsewhere on the internet blithely taking it for granted that One For All could never be stolen just because All Might said it was so, laughing it off when Ujiko promised Shigaraki otherwise. My villain fan agenda aside, though, it’s also a rare highlight for Deku that I like, which I’ll circle back to.

Regarding Shigaraki with Danger Sense, I know there was some discussion of whether he’d be able to fully utilize it against Deku when Deku wants to “save” him. As giving Deku that out would have been the story yet again undermining the villains’ fairly won victories (and as Danger Sense has been so wildly inconsistently written that Horikoshi could have gotten away with practically anything), I’m pleased to see it’s working as intended! That said, you probably could have some interesting discussion of exactly whose “intent” Danger Sense is picking up on. Deku may want to help Shigaraki, but e.g. Banjo, Bruce and Kudou certainly don’t seem to want that! Given how explicitly Kudou was synonymizing quirks and wills back in Chapter 369,[2] and particularly given that Shigaraki can perceive the vestiges now, it wouldn’t surprise me if their wills are bleeding over into Deku’s usage of their quirks. 2: I.e. the “gaslighting the readership about the historical usage of meta-ability terminology” chapter.

I do wonder if this is set-up for Shinomori—and potentially other quirks as well, including any more OFA vestiges Shigaraki manages to snag!—giving us a tired retread of the “quirk vestiges mount a resistance against their unrightful bearer at a critical juncture” moments we saw with AFO, but I suppose that’d be what Shigaraki gets for trying to steal bits of OFA after saying previously that he didn’t care about it. (Sigh.)

Deku, Spinner, and Shigaraki Tomura's "Personhood"

I appreciate Deku pushing back against Shigaraki’s dehumanization, though it does not escape me that he directs that pushback to Shigaraki himself, not any of the voices inside Deku’s head calling Shigaraki calamity and ruin incarnate, and certainly not any actual humans on his side in the real world. It smacks of the same pattern heroes always fall into of leaping to castigate villains for things they tacitly ignore in their own allies. Still, it is at least spoken aloud, and to Shigaraki’s face, which is a pleasant change.

I swear to Christ, if after all this time Spinner becomes a bridge between Shigaraki and Deku after all, I am going to be so damn smug. Albeit in different contexts, I called that years ago, and lo and behold, here we have Shigaraki, accused of having no friends, self-dehumanized, and depersonalized by Deku’s allies, immediately refute the point by bringing up his best friend of his own volition, tying his destruction to someone outside of himself. While Deku hasn’t connected the dots on-page yet, he certainly can’t have missed it, though it remains to be seen how much about Spinner Deku actually knows/remembers from their encounter at the training camp—that encounter long being an important part of my reasoning that Spinner could, via his and Deku’s shared respect for Stain and desire to help Shigaraki, find some common ground. Moreover, we get Deku flashing to Uraraka—as well he should! Since Uraraka is the only one who managed to unearth some empathy for her designated villain foil without a familial or fated connection to them, she deserves to feature prominently in Deku’s attempts to connect with his own opposite number.

I do wonder if we will yet get a flashback to the mall scene. Honestly, Deku could have kickstarted his connection to Shigaraki all the way back then, when Shigaraki functionally laid his damage out in front of Deku like fine china, only for Deku to grab the first excuse anyone gave him to write it off and forget about it. The story could probably get away with not reminding the readers of that—after all, Shigaraki hasn’t really changed his grievance since then, just expanded his invocation of blame! His monologue at Jakku is just a refined version of what he said at the mall encounter, so the only reason to flash back to the less developed take is to have Deku vocalize that he could (and should!) have been wondering about Shigaraki as “a person, too” this whole time, instead of only coming to do so after their mindscape encounter. Acknowledging the gaps in Saint Deku’s Miraculous Saving Instincts would go a long, long way towards softening me on the narrative BNHA’s been trying to sell me on its main character.

Anyway, three cheers for Spinaraki; they never fuckin’ lose, do they? It’s particularly gratifying in light of the way people on Twitter were speedrunning the shift from dismissing Spinner as unimportant to criticizing him as “toxic” as it became more and more clear that saving Shigaraki was going to be more complicated than just dealing with AFO. People really thought that if Deku could just lay all the blame for Shigaraki’s anger at AFO’s feet, then he could just wipe it away, eradicating “Shigaraki Tomura”—who was never really a person anyway, just fifteen years of grooming and coping mechanisms—and leaving behind only sweet, innocent, undemanding Shimura Tenko. But if Shigaraki was carrying anger for others, blame for wrongs that couldn’t be attributed to AFO, suddenly that narrative got messier. Suddenly the League needed to be Bad For Each Other, needed to be separated for their own good, redeemed by the grace of their designated student foils—and nowhere was that trickier than with Spinner, who didn’t have one, and whose every flashback post-war made it clearer and clearer that he had a relationship with Shigaraki that went beyond the League’s stated purpose as an alliance of Villains to bring down Hero Society. The tidier version of the story would still be salvageable if Shigaraki didn’t really care about Spinner more than anyone else in the League, if Spinner’s devotion were one-sided, if Shigaraki didn’t determine to share Spinner’s grievance. If Spinner’s problems aren’t Shigaraki’s problems too, then Deku doesn’t have to address them. And but so, the mad scramble to invalidate the connection by any means possible. But then here comes Shigaraki not just mentioning Spinner, but mentioning something Spinner wanted that Spinner never even told him about on the page, meaning either Shigaraki was paying close enough attention to Spinner to simply intuit it, or he and Spinner had an off-page conversation about Deika where Spinner in all his insecurity was able to admit to Shigaraki that he thought his horizon was beautiful. And not only does Shigaraki remember this, he dedicates his destruction of Mount Fuji to Spinner and the horizon. Not so one-sided after all, is it?

That all said, of course it’s also worth asking if Spinner actually wants the horizon anymore. Judging by his tormented inner reflections when striving to reach Kurogiri, that doesn’t really seem to be the case. At the end of Spinner’s strength, what he truly remembers and treasures is the time he and Shigaraki spent just dicking around talking about video games—just being friends. Spinner wants Shigaraki to get what he wants—but if they’re both just crediting That Beautiful Horizon to each other without realizing it’s not really about what they themselves want anymore, where does that leave them? One suspects that was one function of the possession plot—keeping them from talking to each other freely and being able to figure that out themselves. As it is, with the possession plot seemingly off the table, at least for now, that brings us back to Deku and his resolution to reach the humanity in Shigaraki Tomura—a humanity that Shigaraki just helpfully signposted by referencing his friend Spinner. So how long until we cut away to find out where the Rooftop Trio and Spinner have gotten off to?

Stray Thoughts

Re: Mount Fuji, Horikoshi’s grasp of travel times remains as totally unhinged as ever. Someone who can make rudimentary animations needs to use that battle map volume extra to demonstrate exactly the distances that would have to traversed by All For One, U.A., All Might and especially Lady Nagant and her bullets in this final arc for them to keep arriving where the story needs them to be.

I see the artistic indication is very much that Shigaraki can just spread Decay wherever he walks now. That’s both wonderfully evocative for the embodied destructive divine impulse he’s nominally become and also a bit amusing, because if you can unlock a touch-based quirk to spread through your feet, maybe Overhaul’s not out of luck just yet after all. XD

Good riddance to the mask! As others have pointed out, it’s modelled on All Might’s smile, and is therefore the last thing Deku should be wearing right now, given that Shigaraki has specifically expressed, to Deku’s face, that he hates All Might’s fucking smile, “As if there’s no one he can’t save!” Hope Shigaraki gets that damn cape next, such as is left of it.

Events Up To Now (Chapters 393 - 410)

The resolution of the Ochaco vs. Toga fight is very solid emotionally, though hampered by yet more nerfing of Toga's power set to make sure she can't do all the damage she should logically be capable of doing, as well as a lot of incredibly tiresome shoehorning in of mentions of Deku just to make sure everyone gets how Not Homo it is for Ochaco to tell Toga she's the cutest girl in the whole world. But I love that Toga remains unrepentant and faithful to Shigaraki to the end. I will turn a lot less nice about this if Toga turns out to have actually died here, however. (She should have gotten to stab fucking Hawks.)

The All Might vs. AFO fight sucks rocks. The mech suit makes a nonsense of All Might's primary arc post-Kamino, it's flatly irreconcileable with his characterization throughout the Edgy Deku arc, it leans on a bond with the 1-A students that he has entirely failed to earn, and it parades their identies and power sets out in front of the world with absolutely zero indication that he ever asked them if they were okay with that. As an answer to the "quirkless hero" question it is purest sophistry, laughably detached from reality.

The world's reaction to the All Might vs. AFO fight sucks rocks. The return of Wishing Energy is the obvious point of note, but I prefer to focus on how patently ridiculous it is that across the multitudinous barriers of age, language, culture, politics, national attitude, wealth level, and views on heroism, everyone in the world who watches the battle and gets into it enough to really pay attention is magically able to intuit that the man in the black military hardware suit injecting acid into the underclothed twelve-year-old is the "Hero."

Kunieda is a delight and he and Aoyama should have had history going back to AFO's sway over the family.

Shigaraki is great when he's getting actual attention, but as part and parcel of the AFO vs. All Might fight sucking on such intergalactic levels, it made Shigaraki awful, too, reducing him to generic last boss counting-his-evil-chickens-before-they're-hatched gloating. Praying we see no more of that going forward.

It is extremely headshaking in retrospect that the Heroes actively acknowledged during the planning process for all this that they would prefer to engage with the AFO persona in Shigaraki than Shigaraki himself, the Heroes then find out during the battle that AFO is trying to get to Shigaraki with the specific aim of reawakening said persona, and yet the Jakku team, All Might and Bakugou still blow interminable fucking chapters on preventing AFO from doing the exact thing that would get them back the persona they explicitly stated it would be preferable to deal with.

Edgeshot continues to be Just The Worst, not even having the decency to wait until the endgame to confirm what I predicted back when the nonsense about repairing Bakugou's heart first came up: that, "You won't be able to come back from this," is a bald-faced lie intended to ratchet up tension, one that would be rolled back the instant the danger was past and Bakugou could be gotten to a proper hospital room.

AFO's backstory is the laziest of lazy dreck. The new information soundly deprives Yoichi of the marginal amounts of agency he had previously managed to suggest he exercised, conflicts with what's been previously implied about the brothers' personal history, fails to reconcile the child AFO with the man we met in Deku's dream prior to Joint Training, and reduces all of the interpersonal drama between AFO, Yoichi and Kudou into nothing more than a reason for Bakugou to inspire fear and distress in BabyFO. Omni-Factor Unleash is a retread of Kamino AND Overhaul's minion forms AND Akira-fied Shigaraki. You guys, I think maybe Horikoshi is Bad At Coming Up With Final Boss Attacks.

Sōsuke, being a man who's had his eyes wide open for quite a while now, probably would've been considering this as an option for his grand scheme of destroying the Soul Society. Sure, he has his Kyōka Suigetsu that already made him rather invincible to those who have seen its release. He doesn't need to go as far as finding a partner to help blind the entire Gotei from his plans, rather, he finds the idea of playing "house" amusing, it being likely that he hasn't bothered to pursue any kind of relationship out of a lack of interest... at the time.

Like I've mentioned before, Sōsuke would have only decided to pursue you if the right conditions have been met. I strongly believe in him being demi-romantic/demi-sexual, and for those who don't already know, being demi-romantic/demi-sexual means that someone only develops romantic feelings or only has strong sexual feelings for another person when they have a strong emotional connection to them. A bond has to exist.

As good an actor as he is, he wouldn't want to bother with the extra effort of it. He'd likely use that effort to find someone good enough to play his co-star. His and yours' ideals would have to align, and while Sōsuke's emotional range doesn't exactly involve direct romancing, there is a degree to which he would allow himself to cross-- for the sake of his plans, he'd tell himself. That established connection I spoke of would have to be strong for him to go through with it.

His searching is casually done, ear to the ground while he performs his duties as Captain and as he strategizes. He's put small feelers out, briefly mentioning in a forced conversation that he "wouldn't mind" finding a good woman to settle down with. And for a good amount of time, no one has managed to cross his path that interested him.

Ironically, it'd been a bit of tipsy mumbling that caught his attention.

A simple outdoor izakaya east of the Seireitei had been the location the voice had come from, complaints that eventually turn into sensical verbiages that has Sōsuke tuning into you. Why does the Soul Society do things one way and not the other? Why weren't we deployed there to save those Rukongans? Why did they have to die because we couldn't act on our own? Sōsuke can sense your heartache; it resonates with him all too well.

You're sitting all alone, no companion and no other guests around. Understandable; it is quite late now. He decides to approach you upon recognizing you as one of his higher ranked officers, sitting down in the stool next to yours where you slump into the table, tears streaming down your face and onto the wood.

Don't get confused by what happens next, now. Sōsuke isn't here to offer sympathy or comfort. He found someone who both has constraints against the Soul Society for its never-ending poor decision-making, and who is in a state of vulnerability. It only makes inserting himself your mind that much easier.

He'll pull the end of his haori into his fingers and reach for your face, lightly dabbing at your emotionally-heated cheeks until your eyes open, and they open wide. Perhaps you're too deep into the bottle of sake only inches from your head to fully register that it's Captain Aizen wiping your tears away, but when you address him as such, maybe not.

"... it's so unfair, Captain Aizen..." You sniff unapologetically loud. "This life is so unfair."

His stare down at you is lukewarm, while his thoughts sear his brain, telling him that you could be just what he's looking for.

"Hm... It is unfair, isn't it?"

Conveniently enough, the izakaya is meant to be closing, prompting its owner to inquire about Sōsuke's subordinate.

"She's one of yours, right, Captain? Mind seeing that she gets home? She's a good kid."

Perhaps it should be inconvenient that a Captain has to carry his Third Seat home from over his shoulder, but his mind races with the possibilities he now has by inserting him into your memories. Will you remember him? Or will your brain erase him by morning? Will he have to start from scratch? Remind you of his favour performed to you?

Apparently, come the next day, neither of those became necessary. At a time in the morning that you knew he'd be awake and decent, you arrived at the doors of his quarters holding a small, hastily wrapped package between trembling fingers. You hadn't lost your memory, no thanks to the dangerous amount of liquor you drank the night before. It'd all been in an effort to erase the day's memories, as you don't necessarily normally drink yourself into near unconsciousness. It simply was too much of a sight to bear weight for. Despite your rank and seasoned skills, well... No one should have to see what you did.

When the door opens, you flinch, prepared physically considering how fast you ran to the nearest shop to purchase the contents of the parcel you currently hold in a death grip, but mentally? You can feel the shame of your behaviour the night prior pooling beneath your tongue, and so, your begin to speak before he can.

"C-Captain Aizen! I'm here to apologize for last night! I'm... still in disbelief that you carried me home, but... my public display of intoxication, I swear, sir, that doesn't portray my character whatsoever. I-I'm not like that, I-I promise--"

"Good morning, Third Seat ______." You blink owlishly at him, once more in a shock that stops your heart when he interrupts you. "Calm down. I'm not upset with you. And, I didn't think for a moment that it reflected your professionalism."

Naturally, the moment Sōsuke returned to his quarters, he'd pulled up whatever information was available in your files to peruse the woman he'd chosen to pursue.

"Besides, I know of your accomplishments. I've heard the praises sung of you, _____."

Not a total lie. He has heard of his third seat's performance in regards to the reports delivered to him after your involvement in certain events. Reflecting on them through the evening only solidified the fib.

"O-Oh... what a relief, then." You exhale rather sharply before finally extending the package to your superior. "An apology gift, sir. It's just a simple tea set, but the tea paired with it is exquisite."

"A kind gesture, but this isn't necessary, _____. It was no trouble to assist you to your quarters. It was a mere coincidence that I'd been passing through in that direction."

You persist on him taking it, something that amuses him for a reason he can't place. He sees you won't take no for an answer, simply because the embarrassment you'd experienced upon recalling his hands on you has your insistence fuelling your exchange.

"Well... since you're so insistent on making things up to me, why don't you come in and brew us a pot of one of those "exquisite" teas you mentioned?"

Another won opportunity, Sōsuke muses to himself as you unravel the wrappings and set out the items with still shaking hands. He notes this; wonders if your nerves getting to you is due to a hidden authority complex, or if it's him in particular. He wouldn't mind it either way. Perhaps you're like his lieutenant in this way, but he hopes not. At the very least, you'd better have a fighting spirit for when the time comes.

Over tea, he insists on conversation, even pulling out a package of sweets for the two of you to share. You're nervous, and it shows, but Sōsuke does well to soften you out. Before long, the two of you chat like old friends, until your respective duties were due to interrupt it.

For a while, it remains like this, things like passing greetings and idle chatter when you make increased personal deliveries of reports to his office. There's always a fresh pot of tea awaiting your arrival, as if he'd expected you be the one to come until it became a true pattern; at the same times of those select days of the week, your presence became a part of the upholstery to his office, his quarters.

Even if it'd meant filling your day to the brim with little time to rest, you could barely find it in you to mind. The man you've known as "Captain" for a forgotten number of years by this is the same man whose mild mannerisms and soft-spoken concerns, whose sense of duty and a sense of when and how to settle down after a taxing day, and whose apparent interest in you no longer seems to tiptoe on the line of subordinate and superior. Your desire to admit your own fallacy is no more easily ignorable than an oncoming horde of Adjuchas. And while you are surprised that Sōsuke is the one to say the words first, to suggest that the two of you address the unnamed emotional attention between you, well naturally, it doesn't faze him one bit.

It went all according to his plans, after all. So why would finally having you dancing in his palm surprise him? No, that isn't what gets him at all. It the fact that he enjoys playing this small game of house with you. The domestication, the comforts, the eased worries, and not just through you being his third seat or by you helping to solidify his act of being one of the kindest captains in the Gotei Thirteen. There's something different that he has trouble articulating. Because never in his time in the Soul Society has he attempted to search out a person to love when it served him no true purpose.

But he enjoys the doting, the coddling, even the light chastising when he's caught lightly teasing his lieutenant. He enjoys your willingness to listen, hearing him out when he finally tests the waters and speaking on what you'd been drunkenly mumbling about the night he came across you at that izakaya. Why the Soul Society behaves the way it does, about the Soul King's existence, about the Royal Guard, none of which you'd been privy to until that moment... And with a deep discussion, you come to conclude that maybe this place isn't the paradise you were promised after death. That maybe, something needs to be done.

He wouldn't involve you on the plans that he, Gin, and Tōsen have laid out. It's hard to decide whether "trust" is the right word to use, but Sōsuke teeters on that lip of whether he would trust you enough to ever involve you in them. So far, things have only been spoken on in theory.

And so, on the day that Garganta split across the highest point in the sky above the Seireitei, he'd managed to split your mind. He'd kept you in the dark, kept you privy to what you didn't need to know, apparently. With so much having gone on already during the Ryōka Invasion, like Sōsuke's apparent death and him leaving you behind so abruptly in order to suit those plans he'd only theorized and shared with you, witnessing his lies unfold with his hand plunged through the Kuchiki girl's chest... so many thoughts and questions running through your head... yet despite the emergence of such a desperate, new situation...

... wondering whether he ever even cared for you became the biggest, most enraging one of them all. And whether he'll bother to answer to it or not, somehow, he still makes that one drastic decision that makes you float within that golden light, higher in the air, despite your weak, embarrassed protesting.

Because on the day you brought over that quaint little tea set as a means of asking for forgiveness, and partook in a cup of morning tea with your captain that led you into daring to imagining domesticity with him, abduction and betrayals weren't what you envisioned for your future. But he's always been an insect of a man with many plans, and you simply became trapped within the web of them.

While having a true, genuine connection to Sōsuke might seem impossible, don't sell yourself short. You've been with him long enough that he's seen merit in keeping you around, not simply as a mask, and not only during the time of his act while still in the Soul Society. Even post abduction to Hueco Mundo, he finds it difficult to understand he took those actions in the first place. Why did he bring you after all? Did he, perhaps, play that character too well, that now he's left with an unnatural attachment to you?

Sōsuke isn't someone who makes mistakes. It's why he's gotten away with doing so much over the past 100+ years. It's how he managed to fool you... and apparently, himself. Now, he always has you close by, while you do your best to make the best of a scary situation. It isn't that you've fallen out of love with Sōsuke Aizen-- not at all. Having spent so many years with him, you know it's simply impossible. And while you can't condone all that he's done, you're able to at least detach yourself from the truth of it. He's given you many other reasons to love him, after all.

On the sidelines during meetings with his ten Espada, you'll stand either near the wall (preferably) or near him (to be protected by his reiatsu against all the others' reiatsu). The space you share with him in his tower is comfortable... mostly empty and minimalist, but comfortable. You certainly could do without those two helpers who stare their daggers into your back (and who would just love to drive their weapons into it, too), but you know that you're covered there.

A lot of his attention goes on you. He's sure of your bitterness, and while he finds that your rage is an extremely attractive emotion on you, he does well in quelling it.

The Sōsuke you fell in love with in the Soul Society and the Sōsuke you play house with in Las Noches... two very different people. While in his guise, Sōsuke was a patient lover. In fact, he would've tiptoed around you to make sure he didn't push anything too far with you, simply to keep that mask up. You never admitted to him that it bothered you, but since the act is up, you thought to be honest with him about your feelings. All of them. Even the dark and downright hateful ones you have for him abducting you from your home.

This Las Noches Sōsuke shows no holds barred. Everything of him is laid on the table and most days, it's more than you can handle. Being so unfamiliar with the premise of it, Sōsuke doesn't know if he can truly name the emotions he feels for you as "love". But at the very least, he can admit to himself that if you hadn't been here with him, he would be different.

just a general question about your headcanon's on the ship. Do you think that maybe, in another life or universe Ganondorf and Rauru could love each other? Like maybe the goddesses don't want them together because they would be too powerful. ☕ I'm really looking forward to read your new fic. You're really talented!

That’s a really interesting question! I’m going to have a hard time answering it because once I’ve got one set of headcanons set up, I have a really hard time looking at alternatives to it because I’ve spent so much time getting all the pieces to fit together (this is why I read very little fic that’s not my own), but let’s give it a try

I think, first of all, that Ganondorf would have to be allowed to be a person in a way that TOTK, frustratingly, avoids. There’s a universe out there somewhere, I want to believe, where Ganondorf and Rauru bond over the solitude inherent in their positions: Ganondorf’s lone male of his culture to Rauru’s one of the last few members of his species. But to get to that, you need a Ganondorf willing to identify and feel his own loneliness, which I don’t think the guy we have in canon is inclined towards.

I wonder if this also requires Rauru to have allied himself not with the Hylians but with the Gerudo. That would be an interesting choice—in canon, allying with the Hylians makes sense because of their shared reverence for Hylia (seen in the existence of our familiar goddess statue not only in the GSI Temple of Time but also on Dragonhead Island). The Gerudo, for contrast, revere the Seven(-to-Eight) Heroines, to the near exclusion of goddess worship at all; in Creating a Champion, it notes that Gerudo Town’s goddess statue is out of the way and nearly forgotten for this reason. So a Zonai is going to be received differently among the Gerudo than they are among the other people of the land.

Rauru is a curious guy, though! Maybe it could happen like this: intrigued most of all by the people with whom the Zonai have historically had little in common—I have additional things to say about that but let’s wait until I have things finalized in my fic before I get into it—he made his descent to the land in the desert rather than in Hylian territory. Of course he was not permitted into town, but what if the Gerudo allowed him to stay in one of their other settlements? Let’s say the Northern Temple (what are now the Northern Ruins) just ’cause. But the prince of the Gerudo—who knows his place in his society, theoretically—by definition, by the uniqueness of his birth he can have only one place in his society—is equally intrigued by this foreign voe. Could he be the first other voe Ganondorf has met? Wait, was he actually, I should keep that in mind for my fic too They get to talking, they grow to know each other on an honest level. I think they could grow to love each other in a story like this. I do think the sex is a little less flavorful in this case tho so what good does it do me? Well, anyway.

And what then? If we trust the Sage of Lightning’s perspective—and we might as well, lacking any other insight on Ganondorf prior to the Gerudo Assault cutscene—it was not until after Ganondorf became chief that his hunger for power really began to develop. So what do we believe caused this? Is this just an inherent flaw in his personality? The curse of Demise rearing its head inevitably? (I should disclaim that I’ve never finished Skyward Sword and am only trying to use these words the way I’ve seen others use them.) In that case, both options—Rauru reviling his lover’s thirst for power and betraying him, or Rauru and the power of the Zonai turned in service to Gerudo conquest—are fascinating.

But if we are looking at Ganondorf as a person who gets to make person choices, then when he ascends to his position as Chief of the Gerudo and there is no neighboring nation consolidating an unearned power over the rest of the continent, what then? Might he be less driven towards conquest?

Hmm. Not long, because I've only actively participated in fandom since March 2023, if you're going by those standards.

I've loved Sanctuary since I first saw in 2016, but I didn't start writing for it (or really for any fandom) before 2022.

J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)

Doctor Who.

I've never watched it or given it much thought, but apparently a lot of my mutuals love it. I've been seeing gif-sets, screenshots, jokes, and headcanons everywhere and I didn't even really know anything about it before I got on Tumblr.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

Nikola Tesla from Sanctuary. (Sorry Regina).

When he was first introduced, he most definitely would have hurt and/or killed Helen to get what he wanted. No one can deny that. His reasons for joining them in Bhalasaam weren't exactly unselfish either.

I know there's a lot of he always loved her, but I don't think that's really the case, beyond it starting as infatuation with a woman he respected, admired, and cared about.

But through his arc you get to see him grow from a selfish bastard to someone who actually genuinely cares about the others and regrets his actions when his good intentions are turned against him, to the point where he does everything he can to fix it.

He grows from the selfish vampire to someone who cares beyond that one person (Helen) to everyone else and what they care about, though he wouldn't admit it.

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.

Henry Foss from Sanctuary. I think he'd just be a really good friend to have. A bit laid back, but incredibly loyal and a nerd. We could fan over things, build stuff, and play video games.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Helen (Sanctuary) -- What's not to love? She's badass, determined, flawed, caring, bisexual, smart, mama bear, allergic to feelings. There's honestly so many reasons she's my favorite I can't think of them all.

Sam (Stargate SG-1) -- Probably for most of the reasons I listed Helen, honestly. She's incredibly smart, she's tough, she's in the military, she's a realistic female character in an almost completely male setting. She stands on her own, but is part of team she would die for.

Regina (Once Upon a Time) -- (I most certainly do not have a type) She has such a great character arc. She was a villain because of her trauma and wasn't stopped from doing the Big Bad that trauma fueled. She was very resistant to changing herself and her growth to a better person was on her terms. She's also tough and badass.

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

I want to say dark! fics for some reason, but I'm not sure that's a trope. 🙈

Probably enemies-to-lovers. I've read a smattering of Sanctuary, Stargate, and Supernatural fics with them and I've enjoyed them immensely.

(I'm also a sucker for pregnancy fics, but those fall into way too many categories to straight up just say 'pregnancy fics').

any headcanons on the demon brothers with a child MC?? maybe there was a mix up on the age in their file or something so they were expecting a grown exchange student and were met with a kid?? could also be a teen but that's up to you!!

Hope you don't mind the mixed format T T, I think the accumulated headcanons fit a potluck type of serving rather than individual segments? Most of these are a shared effort between 3 or more brothers to so it'd be easier to just throw them in one lump jkfb. That and I've done a similar request last year! Think of this as an extension.

When you're younger than intended:

Whatever swindling thought Mammon had, it’s out the window. At first he refused to be the first assigned babysitter to the “exchange student” but, the thought of someone as young as being passed to his admittedly harsh brothers convinced him at the last minute.

He definitely considered taking you out to play with that little girl he’s been secretly taking care of, you two would get along swimmingly! That’s what he thought anyway.

Levi was even more reluctant to take you in as the new resident- world jumping stories usually had someone at least 16 but you weren’t even half that fan assigned age minimum??? Why can’t Diavolo send you back?- Then you called him Onii-san.

Every morning whenever Lucifer needs Levi to attend face to face classes you were the key to get him out his room. A simple "c'mon Levi-nii" already has the Avatar of Envy grabbing his digital notepad and headphones out the door.

That makes two demons on your big brother team. The third person to become your accidental sibling was Beel of all people. An accident at first but holding you felt like holding a big sentient marshmallow.

The fourth born clowned himself, telling to his reflection in yhe mirror over and over again how he's only getting close to you to study human children and how they differ in maturity compared to the grown humans he'd have to encounter.

In the end he got over the denial and proudly took you with him to cat cafes (after making sure you weren't allergic to the critters, of course.)

Asmodeus of course felt pouty with your bonding with the rest of the brothers, especially after seeing a post from Satan where it captioned something about bonding under a picture of you within a pile of cats.

Asmo wasn't easily allowed by the other brothers to come near you but they did eventually cave in after he hauled in bags upon bags of clothing for your petite frame. Styling you in the best way he could and with hid skill- you could be mistaken as a kid's fashion model in the human realm.

Asmo would occasionally fuss over Beel offering you so much food even lecturing him about your diet- which can potentially ruin both your clothes and your appetite.

At this point in time Beel decided to seek help from Satan regarding what food a human child such as yourself can consume. It took him a solid month seeing as he kept getting distracted over the idea of good itself rather than the actual studying part.

Belphegor did take advantage of your childish help, and I'd like to think that he didn't want to off you the last minute in lesson 16 but accidents happened and you were desperately clutching on what you understood in the plane of the living.

After such horrendous events he tried everything to make it up to you, a child who knew no better than him when he first opened his eyes amidst the soft environment of the Celestial realm.

Pillows? Stuffed animals? He beat all his brothers in spoiling you in this department. Anything to make you feel a bit safer around him even if it does take a mountain of plushies...

Do you think he isn't listening while you tell him the names of your plushie kingdom? Oh he has them memorized even with his eyes closed. He knew he somehow scraped himself out your hate list after he heard you naming one of your cow plushies as Belphemoo

Albeit childish his resentment of humans in general became a distaste for Diavolo- why would he let a young child like yourself stay here in literal hell? Such thoughts come to a stop whenever you tug him back for nap time.

Lucifer rarely indulges in taking care of you due to workload but, once or twice a month he attends your "tea parties" specially sponsored by Barbatos' support. During these personal get togethers, he's able to hear how you perceive your experience without biased outside forces.

Your presence did impact the devildom in the long run, teaching the highest authorities of hell that maybe they should focus on the next generation if they're intending to keep this place prosperous. But for now you'll settle with your many brothers and the memories no matter how fleeting— treasured in your youthful mind.

Hiii! I do have a few headcanons, actually! I tried to keep as tidy & chronological as possible, but 😅 under a cut bc its LONG

Findis:

One of her names is Alcayantë, which means Shining bridge (bridge as in union, between finwe & indis)

I hc her as being transfemme (I read a fic about it and it just stuck, lmaoo)

She was always a restless child, and when it came to choosing a craft it took her ages, because she just couldn't settle for one.

She ended up studying Elven history, and specialising in the development of languages since Cuiviénen.

She was quite skilled with the bow too, but it was never as appealing as learning why words are the way they are

She actually gets along rather well with Fëanor, who actually liked hearing her ramble about quenya and telerin’s gramatical differences, and who in turn rambled to her about jewel making

When Fingolfin & Fëanor started jumping at eachother’s throats every two seconds, she left for Valmar not because she was a coward, but because she feared having to choose a side

When the finwions left, she ruled as Queen of the Noldor until Finarfin left, and when he came back she gave him the crown without a second thought

She went to Beleriand at the WoW & and killed a Balrog (!!!!) during a badass moment™

Everyone who hears the story is actually terrified of sweet little calm findis afterwards

She loved all her nephews and nieces dearly, and claimed that she wanted to kill Sauron with her own hands after killing Celebrimbor & Finrod

(ngl, I think she could've, if she'd tried)

If we go with the shippy route, I've made her an OC wife who is a half-Vanya, Half-Teler and is named Cálemírë (bright jewel/jewel of light); they met in Valmar and bonded over being half-Vanya yet more connected to that part of their heritage

[there's also more hcs about them & being Glorfindel’s mothers, so lmk if you want to hear about those too!]

Elenwë:

She was a songstress, and learnt under Elemmírë themself. She was quite powerful, actually, and specialised in songs of healing

She met Turgon at a festival in Tirion were she sang, and he was absolutely in-love with her from day one; and started going to & making more parties to see if he could find her again.

She, on the other hand, attended every party in Tirion to see if he met that beautiful prince again

It took them a WHILE to finally gather up the courage to go ‘hey I like you’ and in the end it was Elenwë who did it, dedicating him a very beautiful & romantic song at a party

They got married [read: eloped] in the countryside, and came back a few months later with a baby

This was, sadly, a few years before the flight of the Noldor, so idril lost her mother when she was like ~10/12 human years

Elenwë was reborn a few years after Nargothrond fell, because she didn't have many things to heal from in Mandos.

She went to Beleriand during the WoW & served as a healer with her songs

She was closer with the Arafinweans, and took Celebrían under her wing when she sailed in the third age.

When elrond sailed, he tried to heal her with his maiarin power, but it was fruitless.

She told him that, no matter what, this had been her life for so long, that she couldn't imagine living any other way

Some headcanons about our lovely himbo Shadow, Lloyd!

(This is him by the way)

Also warning, this'll be very gay. - - - Lloyd doesn't know if he's gay, straight, bi or pan but he often gets mistaken for being aroace because whenever he's asked about his love life or his sexuality, he'll get very nervous and anxious but that is also mistaken for being uncomfortable. He just doesn't have the ability to answer that, and he's very deep in the closet. He only told his friends about this so they understand, but it took him YEARS to tell them after he finally had enough of them trying to pry into his love life. - - - HOWEVER, that changes when he and his friend group are taken into the 141 (that fanfiction will be written later, but trust me, it's lore.) after a life-changing mission. This leads him down a whole new path of finding himself because of how open everyone is about themselves; There's Soap and Ghost, Ale and Rudy, Konig and Horangi, even Konig is a lover to Soap and Ghost too. Whenever it came to women in his new life, he's kind of just... never felt anything for them. Don't get him wrong, he's a devoted chugging man of respect women juice but he's never fallen in love with them. His few friends that are women are simply that, friends. But when it came to the men he worked with? Oh forget it, he'll lay in bed thinking about how bulked up and beautiful they all are and turn 50 shades of red under 3 seconds if he sees ANY of them shirtless. His friends love to give him shit about this, as bros would, and laugh at him when he turns redder than a tomato. One time Jared had gone a bit too far describing Konig to Lloyd in great detail and the poor himbo fell over with a bloody nose with how red he was added on top of that. Jared is still sorry about that. He has too much of a brotherly bond with his friends to have caught any feelings for them, and besides, Jared's got two lovers, Keith is a mystery unsolvable to all of mankind and Nick has a gay lover. Lloyd just never saw the right kind of men, until they all joined the 141. He may have a think for dilfs too, he'll always regret the day he walked into the gym and saw Price and Nikolai both shirtless, sparring together in the ring. Lloyd still daydreams about that day and has drawn pictures of that memory (including gay porn. Of who? None of your business.) - - - Lloyd draws everything he gets inspired by, (aside from gay porn) he'll draw just about anything. His favorite thing to draw is portraits of someone, anyone really. Do they know? No. He likes to keep his artistic skills a secret and will draw pictures for anyone on their birthday and say it was from someone else. He doesn't admit it but he loves the chaos it brings. Even to this day, his friends still don't know he draws. But there's been one time someone almost did, and that was when Lloyd was a squirrely thin teenage boy. He'll never tell that story to anyone. - - - You might be asking why Lloyd keeps so many secrets about himself, only letting people find out things about himself that he'll let them find like his gardening and cooking skills. Really it's because he's always been on defense mode, keeping his smaller and less-masculine hobbies to himself because his grandpa didn't allow it and would go on tirades about how men should have manly hobbies and all that. He's careful about who he talks to, never giving out anything about himself if they're a stranger, acquaintance or distant relative/friend of a friend but if you're a friend or family member of his, he'll shed a bit more light on himself but if you mean more to him than anyone else, he'll trust you with all of him. And he's never done that, letting himself trust someone so deeply scares him shitless and he loses sleep over it when he's had an uneventful day. He has to stay busy or else his thoughts get too much. - - - Lloyd is a workaholic, so he'll work himself to the bone until he ultimately ends up crashing either unwillingly or... unwillingly. If he's starting to stay awake for days, drink an insane amount of coffee or redbull, and go missing all day, he's overworking himself.
