10 Best BL Final Episodes!

It’s no secret that I judge a BL’s on their final eps. Here’s the thing, the dinner may be middling but if the dessert is good, that’s what you remember. That is what counts. I like a show that leaves a great taste in my mouth. So here are my top 10!

1. My Beautiful Man

The last two eps brought this show around from good to fantastic, but the final episode really is something special. I lost my mind over how good this one ended.

2. Semantic Error

I love that they did a proper confession kiss/hug ending but then ALSO gave us a domesticity stinger. Very nice, and so unexpected from Korea, both the tidy ending and the domesticity follow up. I don’t even mind the 4th wall break, it was cute.

3. A Tale of Thousand Stars

Much as I rec and love this show, mostly it’s muddled in my head and a little long, but a LOT happens in the final episode including a very satisfying super romantic resolution.

4. Still 2gether

Am I picking this because we finally got a decent kiss after waiting two seasons, and it was a really good kiss? Why yes, yes I am. Standards.

5. Long Time No See

Am I picking this because of the fight sequence and the blood covered kiss is so hot? Fuck yes I am. KBL isn’t noted for its endings, either too abrupt, arbitrary one year separation, or too sappy. LTNS neatly avoided all these issues.

6. Gameboys

TAKING OFF THE MASK. Come on. Iconic.

7. DNA Says Love You

Everything is resolved, that adorable the ending cafe sequence, the back hug, the wrestling in front of the camera it’s all SO CUTE.

8. Bad Buddy

I will never forget how tense we all were after the penultimate ep’s slap up side the head. The final was just so clever, how they managed to get the characters together and happy without actually resolving their family issues but in a totally understandable way. How basically they were playing with the concept of staying in the closet but for different reasons than normal. GENIUS.

9. You Are Ma Boy

Just classic romantic finale where we get to see them together and happy and also a nod at the other characters.

10. Dark Blue Kiss

DBK is such a comfort watch for me. PeteKao have one of my favorite dynamics, and the story comes full circle starting and ending with a pool kiss and also harkening back to their previous series where it was a pool kiss that outed them. But it’s the flash forward to when Kao is teaching and Pete comes to pick him up that I love the most. The final shot of them holding hands. It’s SO CUTE.

Honorable mention to Puppy Honey with them catching each other on dates at the movies, that was a lot of fun.

Persona romance routes are all pretty bad but damn they really hit rock bottom with p3p femc route like the misogyny is very blatant and it’s almost hilarious like look at the Shinjiro romance. When you do his social link he’s like very clearly respectful of Kotone as a leader and explicitly says stuff like "oh yeah you’re clearly the best fighter we have, I don’t really know much about fighting like you do, I hope I’m not dragging you down, you’re doing a good job as leader just remember to take care of yourself, everyone looks up to you I know you can rely on them" etc. like he has faith in her leading abilities. But then when you romance him he’s like got dialogue like "bwah bluh i gotta look after you because you’re a GIRL and you need to stick by me, a big strong MAN so you don’t get hurt" and "don’t wear that revealing outfit in front of other guys 👺" and it’s like. Does he respect her or not and also like it doesn’t make sense for him to look down on her for being a girl cuz he literally has never not been led by a girl leader during his time in sees and Mitsuru in particular really has her shit together when it comes to being responsible and a good fighter and she’s always known the most about Tartarus

It’s also like. Idk maybe its just me I’m not a girl so FUCK IF I KNOW but to me the appeal of romancing Shinji is the fact that he’s sweet and sensitive and gentle and has respect for you despite the fact that he acts all scary. That’s like, what made me like this character in the first place. But the writers seem to think what women want is for a BIG STRONG MAN to protect them because they are just DELICATE WOMEN who are inferior in every way it’s like. Shut upppp thanks

Although it is true that some actors just do BL to make easy money and fame, it's actually really funny to see people blaming mostly the actors from the oldest BLs of that, you know the BLs from the time where the budget was so small that it looked like a high school student video project

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer reminding me of how unique Zack is to me as a character. Because I just love him so much. I care so much about him. But it's different from how I love other characters. Like there's characters I really like but am normal about like Aerith, and then there's characters I really love but there's also an element of attraction like Noctis. And then there is Zack. Alright, pull my leg, why don’t you? xD Have a longer tease from the disaster Nar Shadaa night that put Tyr, Leo, Dash, and Jonas Balkar all in the same cantina and Tyr, having never before met Leo, diagnosed him with Feelings over a few drinks and decided he should maybe call it a night.

And then also finds out how hopeless Leo can be about his feelings. xD

“Y’know…” The Captain’s voice slurs as he props a shoulder back into the seat, swirling the remnants of his drink in his glass. “I’ve heard interestin’ things about… this antiques dealer.” Leo hiccups and nods across the cantina again.

Tyr tips back his shot carefully before he follows the smuggler’s indication, lip twitching briefly over his teeth at the burn. This would not be his choice, but it went a fair ways to explain how thoroughly in his cups his company was.

Leo bit at his lip. “Whatch’ya think, Cap’n?”

Tyr’s eyes briefly dip to his watch before they narrow slightly.

Instead of an answer, he paints a friendly smile across his lips and claps the smuggler’s shoulder. “I think…” You’ve had plenty enough. And if he went home with almost anyone else in this cantina, he’d end up cold in a gutter somewhere.

Just another thing Kaliyo was going to give him hell about if she ever found out.

He tugs lightly at the Captain’s jacket and lets his gaze drop as Leo’s eyes settle back on him. “Maybe we should get out of here.”

Leo huffs. “Wha’s a matter, flyboy?” He slams his cup a bit heavily against the table. Tyr’s thankful it’s practically empty. “Havin’ trouble keepin’ up?”

Tyr lets out a chuckle as he shakes his head and brushes a hand under Leo’s jaw. The smuggler almost instantly caves to the gentle caress, leaning forward eagerly. There’s something flickering in his dark blue eyes that the agent could’ve recognized just about anywhere: an unfulfilled longing begging desperately for fulfillment, even if only in distraction.

Still, Tyr leans in a bit closer, letting Leo’s eyes wander down his jaw to partially parted lips. “I dunno, Captain… You still haven’t rated your company.”

Leo’s teeth dig subtly at his lower lip again. “How uh… rude of me, huh..?” he says.

Tyr plays at hesitating, letting the smuggler’s gaze roam for a few moments longer. “I could think of a few ways you could make that up to me.” His thumb brushes against Leo’s ear and he tangles a few fingers into his loosened dark locks.

Leo doesn’t resist when Tyr finally presses a kiss to his lips. In fact, the smuggler surrenders almost surprisingly easily. His faint whimper isn’t entirely drowned out for Tyr by the cantina music. His fingers dig around Tyr’s shoulders, needily pulling him closer.

He breaks from his lips, hearing Leo gasp before he presses a kiss to his neck. One hand wraps around the back of his neck and Tyr finds his opening to slip a hand inside the smuggler’s jacket. Datapad, commlink, something - aha.

Tyr’s breath is warm against his ear, “What say we take this back to your ship, Captain?”

i went through a similar "🥺 soldier" phase when i started playing tf2, sadly soldier mains are the vein of my existence

AGSJSHSFSHSJ yeah I use the quick fix and I keep getting blasted up into the air when soldiers rocket jump. It's fun when I'm on maps where I can't fall off and die, but they often don't think about me before they jump and I forget to untether myself from them, so I end up falling off maps and dying😭😭😭 I forgive them though because they call me pumpkin/cupcake/sweetheart, and I feel compelled to follow them around like an adoring little puppy

But honestly, I think demomen are the best to follow since they don't seem to jump quite as high, and they always thank me when I heal them
