Hi everyone! If you don't me, I am The_Ravenclaw_Werewolf, or Raven for short, and I am currently writing the reaction fanfiction Main Character Syndrome (With Exceptions)!

You can find me at Ao3 or here on my Tumblr, but after some time, I felt need to set some ground rules.

Do not be rude, mean, or anything similar of the sort towards others or to me. I want everyone to have fun here so please treat others with respect!

Please no inappropriate and or offense behavior and or messages! I have been in fandoms long enough to see and know things for reasons outside my control .

ANY FORM OF CEST/PROSHIPPERS DNI. YOU WILL BE BLOCKED!

Those who refuse to follow the guidelines, as stated, will be blocked.

Now with that settled;

I understand that there are readers looking more towards the reaction part of the MCS (WE), or just the story in general, but please bear in mind that this is meant as a hobby, something to do for fun. Which means I may not be putting out chapters as fast as you would like, but I find that the joy of writing is taken away when I get pressured and or questioned about the next chapter. I don’t want to abandon this story so I can only ask that you please do not ask questions about updates and what not because then I feel myself pushing back my writing even further when asked every time.

Next is about my inbox, both on Ao3 and Tumblr. I understand you have questions and or are excited in general and I am really happy to answer and respond to them! But I either get TOO MANY questions or get questions that require me to sit down to write out, which leads me to getting overwhelmed by them, thus turning off both inboxes. And if I get too many questions, I feel the need to answer them FIRST before posting a chapter so this leads to a longer put off of both answering and writing. If you see that my inboxes are turned off, please be respectful and wait until I can turn them back on. I will still answer your questions, just only when I can and or when I am in the proper headspace.

I only ask this because I still want to have fun with this and I want my readers to still have fun as well. But I have a life outside of writing and I must ask to have my boundaries respected and if you can all do that, I would be the most appreciative.

Let’s just say that Soma gets a little irked when seeing a certain bear full of despair on screen… makes him have the urge to serve bear meat for dinner… it makes good practice for the future when he does cook bear meat😊

Listen I know Soma pretty much never ever gets mad, or when he does it’s still gonna be on the rational side of things, but with all the insane crap he’s gonna see with the viewings, that’s gonna make a normal person say and do insane crap. Food wars is one of the few “grounded in reality” stories (believe it or not) so seeing the insane crap of other worlds, especially as horrific as Danganronpa, is gonna make any normal person get angry at the bad guy. Anyway, it’s been a hot minute, so I hope this drawing is good!

I, unfortunately, am not well versed with the Poppy lore as much as the experts, but this is pretty scary to see!

The 40 x Poppy Playtime (Epilogue)

What!? You didn't think I'd also be uploading the epilogue fancomic of The 40 x Poppy Playtime on the same day as well?

Sorry, but I'm not dragging this out.

For everyone who is up to date on the Poppy Playtime games and lore, the Prototype wouldn't be the only toy operating on his own, as he's got the backing of Kobayashi and some of the members of The 40 to destroying Playtime Co. from within, and taking care of the more logistics problems once they purge the corrupt and dangerous employees of Playtime Co. (i.e. Leith Pierre and Dr. Harley Sawyer).

Yet, despite having assistance with his plans, things still happen as a result of "canon events". For example, Theodore Grambell still gets electrocuted to near death and ends up being transformed into CapNap.

Also, the "Hour of Joy" still happens but is much different than the indiscriminate slaughter from canon, and everyone sans Poppy (of course) participates in it of their own free (instead of the Prototype simply puppeteering them as implied in canon) will thanks to the trust they have for the Kobayashi and the members of The 40 with her.

By the time of the game (i.e. ten years after the Hour of Joy), Emma and the other members of The 40 had gotten a letter to come to the now-rundown Playtime Co. factory. As they transverse through the now-rundown factory, they still encounter Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs, but instead of truly life-threatening some of them start to believe that they're being tested for some reason. Then, Emma and the 40 members that accompanied her are trying to figure out the mystery of what explicitly Kobayashi and the others are doing during their time at the Playtime Co. factory.

Especially upon getting a glimpse of Kobayashi's lower body fused to the Prototype as they appear from the lit ceiling vent after defeating CatNap.

Finally, we reached the finale of The 40 x Kill the Justice League fancomic.

The reveal of Brainiac in this fancomic is none other than Saiki Kusuo himself whose original personality has been overshadowed by a copy of Brainiac's mind!

With access to Saiki's meta-awareness, Brainiac was able to plan accordingly and use the right methods to brainwash the other members of The 40 under his control.

Now that his brainwashed enforcers have all been neutralized, Saiki-Brainiac is prepping for the final battle against the squadron of The 40 members out for his blood.

This final battle won't be an easy one for the heroes, as Saiki-Brainiac's mind and power are on a higher ontological level.

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 The bittersweetness of it all and it’s just so touching! The 40 being able to not only allow Aniz to have his human form and emotions back, but to also see his friends again, even if it’s only through a video, both wholesome and something they would make sure to accomplish!

Inspired by the ending scene of the animated adaptation of DC's Flashpoint.

----

After much interaction with Post-Overlord series' Ainz, with plenty of drama given Ainz's undead nature after the transmigration, one of The 40 handed him a holodisk containing the message of all 40 Players of the original Guild of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Seeing each former Guildmember creating their own heartfelt messages for the Momonga, he used the "race swap" band that The 40 created that allowed him to switch between his Undead Lich Overlord form and original human form.

Satoru saw each of his former Guildmembers' true identities and sat through a long hearing of what their message was for him.

Note: The 40 original Players of Ainz Ooal Gown react to the Overlord series to the end (but for us, we only have two volumes to go before the series ends).

On one hand, many of them are glad that he's alive and working on a noble goal to create a prosperous utopia for all races of the New World. On the other hand, many voice their disgust at the atrocities he knowingly did, and the ones that resulted from his decisions if he hadn't dug much deeper (i.e. Arche and Foresight, and Arche's younger twin sisters), never mind the knowledge of Demiurge and his little happy farm (A/N: I can't help but to think that Ulbert, Demiurge's creator, wouldn't tolerate the things that his creation had done behind Momonga's back unless if it's towards the completely unrepently evil people, even when taking into Ulbert's tragic backstory of being stuck in poverty forever and gaining a really bad misanthrope view of the world).

Yet, in the end, they still cared for Satoru, acknowledged the nuances of his actions due to his emotions being suppressed by his new Lich body and not wanting to alienate any of the Nazarick NPCs, and wished him luck in the New World. They also let Satoru know that things back in the World of 2138 are going fine thanks to The 40's assistance in reversing the polluted planet and commencing a grand evolution against the conglomerates that controlled their world.

By the end of the message, Satoru was filled with tears. But continues to compose himself after his experience as the leader of Ainz Ooal Gown for so many years.

Satoru thanked the 40 for this gift with the utmost sincerity, with the latter group then heading back to the other dimension as the challenge to live in World of 2138 for two decades has been completed.

Aw that is so sweet to see! Kobayshi knows exactly what it’s like to have a terrible boss, so it would stand to reason that if she were the boss, she wouldn’t let others suffer like she had.

For the other part of The 40's plan to fix the World of 2138; covertly "remove" the corrupt and abusive bosses that report to the conglomerates.

After doing so, they would take over the various workplaces and improve the working conditions that would greatly minimize the risk to the workers, pay better wages than what was given to them, and open up a free clinic that would heal any ailments through the advanced tech they've got, and most importantly, build domes so that the common people can grow and eat real food (e.g. fruits and vegetables) for once instead of vitamin pills and flavor gel packets.

As seen in Kobayashi's daily life as the manager of Satoru Suzuki/Momonga's former workplace, all the employees under her care (both adults and children) have become much more vibrant and jubilee thanks to the changes in their environment, as they earn more money than before, can buy and eat real food, and are allowed paid sick days.

Of course, this is still just the beginning of the revolution that The 40 are stirring up. The war against the conglomerates...is coming in the form of a storm.

Be prepared for the epilogue in the next update.

This is such an amazing idea! And how the 40 each had a design to contribute to the bus is also chef kiss 🤌

Of course it would be called the Chaos Bus! Wouldn’t expect anything less!

In fact, may I present to you…

THE 40 HEADCANONS!

ROAD TRIP EDITION!

Schedules for picking music is A RULE they all must follow. They weren’t even out of the driveway when Ciel and Killua were fighting over classic vs rock, resulting in, not in chronological order:

A broken bus window

A flat tire

The roof of the being set on fire for 3 seconds before being put out

And a broken radio which was caused by a cd being launched at it with great force and precision to wedge itself in the cd player.

But if a song comes on that everyone likes, and as long as it is a mostly empty road in a rural area, they will roll down the windows and sing at the top of their lungs.

Mafuyu is the first one to fall asleep on the trip, resulting in the more mischievous younger members putting sticky notes on him to see how much they put on before he wakes up. Yes, Gojo does join in because was the one to provide said sticky notes.

Speaking of sleep, Saiki gave Mob noise canceling so he slept throughout the trip without any disturbance.

Unfortunately, Mako and Iruma are not allowed to hold on to the snack basket for more then five seconds and CANNOT be left alone with them. They will mindlessly binge eat on them. Ryota was placed in charge of the snacks.

Kobayashi is, of course, the designated driver. But putting aside technically road laws and whatnot, here is the list they (read, everyone except GOJO) compiled for “designated driver”

Kobayashi: Has a license and has never been in an accident.

Fujinuma: Got a license and while he rarely drives, he is still a pretty good driver.

Yuuri: Also has a license. Much meeker in his approach to driving but gets the job done.

Heine and Levi: They are tied as they don’t have a proper license but they are fast learners.

Spike: He won’t do it. Unless you bribe him.

Saitama: Would be higher on the list if his short temper didn’t get the better of him, resulting in him road raging.

L: Cannot. Drive. Kobayashi learned that the hard way.

U-1146: Also cannot drive. Yuuri learned that the hard way too.

Gojo and Italy: Gojo will break speed limits, treat the road like he is drag racing, and has already, and on purpose, ran someone over (who deserved it). Italy, meanwhile, cannot drive to save his, or any other life. No matter what he says, he cannot drive UNLESS it’s an emergency.

Of course they play punch buggy! But it’s on the fence of being banned right now, though Korra and Zuko are tied for the record for finding more buggies. (Though it's obvious they are targeting each other when playing.)

They almost got banned from a restaurant, so now when they stop to eat, they break into smaller groups. It’s easier this way.

But Rin and Soma are the ones who always want to stop at the famous/local restaurants of the state and see if it lives up to the hype.

Langa is banned from picking music, on the account he taught the younger members how to sing, “The Song That Doesn't End”. Their record is 43 minutes.

Senku, with the help of Edward, would try out experiments during their trip. Their most notable one was when they managed to sneak storm chasing equipment onto the bus and months prior Senku predicted when there was going to be a storm during the trip so those two were determined to chase said storm. Long story short, the idea was shut down quickly and for the rest of trip, those two were not to be left alone.

They do bring games to keep themselves occupied. Monopoly is banned for obvious reasons and Zuko is banned from playing UNO.

They are banned from the state of North Dakota, following the “Mount Rushmore” incident.

Emma is the blanket hoarder. Unintentionally.

Izuku and Nagisa collabed together to create an itinerary for the whole group as they traveled, which includes rest stops.

During one rest stop, Naegi and Tanjiro were chased by a Canada goose and ran for a good 15 minutes before managing to get on the bus.

Kuroko sits in the back corner of the bus, Hinata keeps him company.

And speaking of which, they have forgotten Kuroko at three different rest stops (Hinata is always the first to notice) and one time Hinata stuck by with him so that Kuroko “wouldn't be alone”.

If Hanako sees a trucker, he will signal them to honk their horns. He is 30% successful most of the time.

Once there was a jerk driver who gave the bird to the 40 kids when driving pass them. Haruhi and Legoshi had to hold back Edward from jumping out the bus and chasing after the guy.

Tohru and Chika spend their time on the road making paper crafts and bracelets.

Serinuma is the picture taker. No matter where and when, she will have a photo of every moment.

Korra had to stop Haruka from jumping into Lake Superior.

IM FINALLY ABLE TO DO SOMETHING!! Hello everyone,I’m so sorry I was nearly radio silent for so long,I promise it’s still on works the universe travel lil comic and ice age arc but sadly being to a new class does being lots of stuff..nothing less,I had a thought! I wonder if the 40 have a collective “family car” when they want to just go somewhere in a simple style! Introducing the..as lovingly dubbed by Satoru Gojo “Chaos bus”

Hey y’all! It’s been a bit. So I drew a scene from chapter 34 of “Main Character Syndrome (With Exceptions)” where Izuku cheers Zuko up by saying that their phone lights don’t light up the room as much as Zuko’s firebending! I low key loved this scene to bits and I’ve always wanted to draw these two, as this duo has one of my fave chemistry going on in this fanfic! It’s awesome! I also wanted to draw some scenes from the fanfic in my own style so this was the first I wanted to draw!

Side note: sorry for the bad handwriting, but the panel in the middle is Chika, who’s saying: Are they Yaoi? (That chapter was in her POV)

Just Emma being sad and Killua and Ciel being… beyond words on the suffering she goes through as they try to comfort her… well at least Killua is comforting her, Ciel still needs to process his shock and is a little unsure how to comfort her in his own way.

Sorry for the wait guys! I just wanted to draw something and decided to post a lazy pencil sketch so I hope this is still enjoyable! I don’t think I quite made Killua as sad as I wanted to but I did like how empty his eyes look! I’m most proud of Ciel though, he’s always so fun to draw, especially his hair! Side note, whenever I draw Emma’s hair it reminds me of a sunflower!

Of course the 40 would infiltrate and basically create a revolution. Heine would definitely be the one to suggest this idea because as an educator himself (and a mafia boss who stood up against the corrupt,) he will not stand by and allow this broken education system to continue.

The 40 - The World of 2138 (2/3)

If the uninhabitable climate wasn't bad enough, The 40 learns of how the current civilizations function.

After the collapse of the traditional governing body, massive conglomerates have taken over their respective countries by seizing all the legislative, executive, and judicial powers during the power vacuum.

Those in the conglomerates had taken refuge in "complete environment cities" called arcologies. Employees and affiliates exulted in how different they were from the outside world. So arcologies ended up becoming states with cities built around them.

Then, one of the sinister things the conglomerates have done is dismantle the compulsory education system under the pretext of "getting public expenditure under control", when its true aim is to rob the poor of their ability to think. In the World of 2138, tuition was required to attend even elementary school level. Parents who wanted their children to be able to get a halfway decent job still sent them to school, but wasn't easy for the poor to scrape together tuition. Many bent over backward and ruined their health working to pay for it. Really, elementary education shouldn't have cost that much, but prices soared because the wealthy wanted to rob the poor of educational opportunities.

So, as The 40 adjust themselves to the World of 2138, they all made a vow to fix its sorry state no matter what (so long as their methods don't cross a line). As they delegated some of their members to study and develop a chemical that could "reverse" the pollution and integrate themselves into the societies of the civilizations, starting with the World of 2138's version of Japan.

One part of their plan involves elevating the common people's elementary-level education into having more practical, technological, and financial knowledge (though still teaching the children academic subjects). Given that it's a known fact that children can learn very fast at a certain age, The 40 takes advantage of this by having elementary school students become interested in learning the academic and practical subjects that would prove beneficial to their futures once they go off into the workforce after graduation. Also, The members of The 40 who are teaching elementary students would also cultivate the image of a "caring and ideal teacher" looking out for the student's well-being in addition to their education and helping instill values that would also prove instrumental for the upcoming revolution against the conglomerates.

Those two would know about terrible conditions such as these, and they and the rest would be heartbroken and angry of how the environment and society was just completely destroyed by that world’s conglomerates.

But knowing the 40, they are not going to stand by quietly for the next 20 years…

The 40 - The World of 2138 (1/3)

As The 40 explores the original world that Satoru/Momonga/Ainz mysteriously left behind and is currently thriving in the New World, they can see what the World of 2138 is all about.

And safe to say, it terrifies them. Especially when they're taking part in a challenge from an unnamed character:

However, for their benefit, all of them will be living in their own thriving environment that's 20 acres in width and length, completely breathable, having their own individual tiny homes for each member of The 40 to sleep in, a large dome to cultivate crops, a gym to recreational and training purposes, and a laboratory with futuristic tech for creation and research.

Yet, it still does little to comfort their minds when being surrounded by complete pollution with the environment being uninhabitable for any life to thrive. The sky was always hidden behind black smog, while the sun made only brief appearances every now and then. Thick, toxic fog frequently covered the cities, so almost no one went out without wearing a gas mask beforehand. During wet weather, the rain is acidic and foul-smelling and the storms are completely chaotic.

At certain points in time, Levi and Spike would venture into the polluted wasteland in hazmat suits to collect "material" for the other members of The 40 to study. To their distress, they would always find bodies of children and adults littering the area, as they're likely the unlucky poor who were cast out for various reasons and died from the polluted environment.

Despite the bad weather and polluted infertile land, it pales in comparison to how the civilizations are currently functioning.

But I do like the idea of Aniz meeting the 40 and not only actually talking with them, but also for Aniz to be able to drop his mask for once which I find really sweet to think about.

The 40 - A Discussion about the Nazarick NPCs

I've been looking over the Overlord light novel series, and one thing I found funny would be The 40's reaction to the antics of miscommunication with Ainz and the Nazarick NPCs.

In this fancomic, we have The 40 expressing their bewilderment at how the Nazarick NPCs, in general, accept all of Ainz's obvious not-fully-true explanations and let them draw their own conclusions...and make it into something smarter than Ainz intended or didn't think of at all.

Sooner than later, The 40 realized that regardless of how false or contradictory a claim Ainz could make, the NPCs would accept it regardless due to them being programmed to be loyal to the "Supreme Beings" above all else, which is carried over to the New World.

Also, there's also the fact that the Nazarick NPCs mindset is equally terrifying to deal with just as it equally makes them humorous, given the atrocities they are willing to commit towards innocent humans, and even other heteromorph races, in the series (especially if you read the Light Novels, which shows the crimes and their thoughts of committing them that the manga and anime adaptations cut out or glossed over).

So...it's been a while everyone.

In this fancomic, we have Edward and Senku playing YGGDRASIL (ユグドラシル Yugudorashiru), a DMMO-RPG (Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) from the Overlord light novel series.

Aside from marveling over the advanced technology that allows people to upload their minds in a virtual world, the two of them are enjoying the wonders of role-playing as the heteromorphic race and seeing the entire realm of YGGDRASIL had to offer with plenty of missions and customizing items and weapons...so long as they can avoid encountering Human Race Players who are PKing those of the heteromorphic race.

The 40 - A slightly better outcome

As the second try against the Dark Knight goes, Spike, Levi, U-1146, and North Italy performed better than their disastrous first try.

While they still lost against the Arkhamverse Batman, each performed much more adequately by countering some of Batman's gadgets and holding them against the latter in hand-to-hand combat.

Spike is able to shoot down multiple Batarangs flying at him.

Levi engages Batman in close combat with a large, metal blunt object and is able to block some of his opponent's blows before going down.

U-1146 is able to get some licks in by forcing the Dark Knight to block with his armored gauntlets.

With Feliciano left, he doesn't cower or try to run away. Instead, he decides to face the end with dignity and defiance by pulling out an assault rifle and emptying the clip.

Yet, the Dark Knight manages to dodge even that before lunging right at Feliciano as he continues screaming with defiance by continuing to pepper Batman with assault bullets.

Canon reactions:

Jet Black: Even though you still didn't beat him, you have improved greatly since the first try.

Erwin Smith: Captain Ackerman...you have improved.

Hange Zoë: Despite the captain showing a better performance, this Batman still manages to beat him. A worthy specimen that needs studying!

Oluo Bozado: If there's a chance the Captain can defeat this monster of man, then I'll be rooting for him.

Petra Ral: Captain Levi...do your best!

Isabel Magnolia: You can do it Big Brother!

Furlan Church: Take as many attempts as you need Levi.

Red Blood Cell AE3803: Keep going, U-1146!

Japan/Honda Kiku: So Vargas-san went down fighting instead of running this time...an honorable quality.

Germany/Ludwig: I guess Vargas had grown a pair compared to the disastrous first time.

It’s so nice to see the 40 being so kind and contributing to the tribe. 😊😊😊

I’m sure the tribe would have freaked out at first to see them, especially Legoshi, but they definitely get along in the end. And you KNOW the 40 are going to help protect the tribe from Soto and the other Sabertooth tigers.

So...it's finally here!

The 40 have met the Neanderthal tribe and live amongst them for a whole week.

Thanks to the "all speak" gift bestowed upon them by the Entity, they can understand what language the Neanderthals communicate in.

In that short time, they taught the tribe many things and befriended the leader and his family. The 40 show them how to toil the land, grow edible plants and grains, and fish in the streams. The female members of The 40 would teach the concept and importance of matrilineality (which Nadia greatly appreciated despite already being treated well in the tribe due to being the "wife" of their leader) and that any female they sire or take in their tribe would be treated and taught to also carry out the duties of the male hunters. Most importantly, they would teach the tribe how to greatly respect the animals they hunt and kill for food by making it mandatory that all the remains of the animals that are unedible will be given a burial of sorts.

In the miscellaneous times, Levi would often converse with Runar, Senku working on pottery to make cups and containers for food and water, the woman and girls (aside from Emma) politely rejecting the "proposals" of the male hunters, Killua conversing with Nadia as they work on weaving baskets and making rope, and Emma playing with the infant Roshan by making a flower crown.

However, the vengeful Soto and his pack of Sabertooth tigers are undaunted by these "strange humans and the walking wolf". The plan to attack the tribe will continue, but they have to re-evaluate their initial plan due to seeing the obvious danger of just rushing in at night.
