"That's how the light gets in"—through the cracks in your soul. Whenever you lose someone and it breaks you, you can see a part of you breaks off, and you cry, and you can't stop crying. But it's life. That's how the light gets in, and how you need to let the light in. It's a heavenly experience listening to the album. I have no words to describe the beauty of it. I'm drunk, and it's the best album to listen to when drunk. It breaks my heart with each song, but I feel within, and it makes you see life for what it is. Baby Reindeer is by far the best series, movie, or any work of art I've watched this year. It's an ode to those human emotions that lack a name; those feelings, too intangible to be qualified or expressed in words. You know, that inexplicable love for someone, even when you can't pinpoint why, and you continue to love them despite their lack of reciprocation? When you become so entwined with the person who's shattered your life that they become its foundation? When you obsess over them because they once made you feel a certain way? There are aspects of life that cling to us, even when we yearn to let go, because of layers of complexity, trauma, and experiences that have uniquely shaped our minds. It's instinctual—self-hatred, self-sabotage—but it's ours, and we own it without remorse. Baby Reindeer subtly captures these incredible human emotions remarkably well. It makes you feel more human.
