Soooo, maybe some hcs for Jonathan with an s/o who's incredibly touchstarved? Thanks, and happy Valentine's day! 💕💕
Happy Valentine's day to you as well!
- he loves surprising you by creeping up behind you and yelling “BOO!” while hugging you (the occasional “Hroo Hraa” as well)
- actually, most of his ways that he initiates contact starts with him scaring you
- one of his favorite things is to turn on something that he knows will scare you and then wait until you hide in his arms
- he’ll typically turn whatever it is off after that (not always though)
- Jonathan loves the feeling of your heart racing and then slowing down while he holds you
- your surprised shouts and screams whenever he creeps up on you are music to his ears
- if you ask him to tone it down with the scaring you he totally will and instead will go the softer route with showing you affection
- never tell anyone, but he loves just holding you close to him

hey darl, how you doing?? im surprised to see you didnt get any requests since your writing is fuckin divine. i am so going to change that soon. but first off, i wanted to ask about that old little fic you were writing!! i remember reading 3 chapters and been wondering if you planned on writing more for it? and another question, would you be up to writing for masters of fear jon?? my obsession with him is raging and id love to see your take on his charatcer!!
Considering everything going on around us, I’m doing pretty well and I hope that you’re feeling the same! To be honest I somewhat forgot about that fic, but now that you’ve reminded me of it I’m most definitely going to get back to working on it! As for writing MoF Jon, I can most definitely give it a try for you! Just let me know what you want!

hi, my friend wanted to request something but she couldn't find a list of fandoms!
Ah, I knew I forgot something when I made the blog! Just to let you know, as of right now I only write for the Batman rouges (plus a few other characters, all of which you can find under 'About' on my blog!).

hey, sooo, i dunno if you have any other requests atm but the image of drunk jon has been haunting me lately and i thought who better to turn to with this problem than you? what i mean is, eddie and/or jervis dropping a drunk jon off at their mutual friend's house and because i'm a slut jon of course kinda sorta craves more than friendship, and i just wanna know how he'd act. if he'd be clingy or more closed off, maybe honest, more emotional, barely standing up right. i'm curious what you think!
Hey! Sorry that this took so long! I started school again when you sent this in and it was also a little difficult for me to come up with these, but I hope you like it!
ngl I don’t really think that he drinks very often
but when he does it isn’t unusual for Ed to just drop him on the doorstep of your house and leave a note saying that he’s your problem now
this man will NOT let you go once he has his arms around you
it doesn’t matter WHO you are, and it’s worse if he has a crush on you
he will go on and on about how much he likes you and cares about you
he refuses to watch anything but horror and documentaries when you turn the TV on to distract him and get him to be quiet
speaking of quiet, while he may be fairly quiet while sober, he talks a mile a minute when drunk and it’s almost impossible to get him to shut up
the next morning no matter how much or how little he drank, he won’t remember a single thing and will be very confused as to why he just woke up on your couch with you on the floor (he refused to sleep unless you were with him)

Hi! Love your writing! Can I please request a Jonathan fic where his childhood friend/crush meets the scarecrow for the first time and angst with a happy ending and or hurt/comfort? Thanks so much!!!!
Sorry that this took so long! I started school again around the time that this was requested. Anyway, I hope you like this!
Word Count: 1,367
TW: Mentions of blood, mugging
Madison never expected to find herself in Gotham City considering the fact that she was from such a small town, then again she wasn’t even expecting to get a response from Wayne Tech when she sent in her job application. Of course, when one works for Wayne Tech they must always be prepared for the worst, but nobody ever told her that.
--------------
It was a rather gloomy day, the kind that would send shivers up your spine and make you expect the worst, but Madison didn’t pay much mind as she closed her umbrella and entered her workplace, completely ignoring the sign that one of her coworkers had put up that stated the number of days since the last attack. He had claimed that it was a joke when she asked about it, but her other coworkers knew that was a lie, instead choosing to go along with what he had said so as to not scare off the new employee. While others around her whispered amongst themselves about the odd feeling in the air, Madison opted instead to quickly get to work at her desk, slightly adjusting the plastic plant that she glued googly eyes to (they don’t allow real plants).
The workday passed quickly with no incident, which caused the uneasy feeling that she had been suppressing to finally work it’s way up to the point where she was nervously peering into every alleyway that she had to walk past on her way home. Of course, this didn’t do much to prevent someone from coming up from behind and pointing what felt like a gun to her back and pushing her into the alley, holding her against the wall.
“Look lil’ lady, I don’t wanna hurt ya, so just gimmie your purse and I’ll let ya on ya way. Understand?” His voice wavered as he spoke, slamming his free hand down on the wall next to her head.
Slowly Madison reached for her bag, pulling it off of her shoulder and turning her head to hand it to him only to be spun around so that she was facing the man attempting to rob her. He didn’t have anything covering his face, which probably meant that this was either his first time doing something like this or he planned to kill her after taking the purse, and she really hoped that it was the first possibility. Panic filled her veins at the sound footsteps coming near the two of them, and while there was the possibility that it could be one of the masked vigilantes such as Batman or Robin, there was still the risk that it could be one of the many villains who prowled the city, or even someone who would just ignore what was currently happening to her. Luck seemed to be somewhat on her side though when the said person stopped right behind the man who was currently holding her at gunpoint.
“Pardon me for the intrusion, but you wouldn’t happen to know the way to Gothcorp, would you?” The stranger’s voice was flat and hoarse, but somehow familiar to Madison, who clamped her eyes shut when the man mugging her turned his head to look at him.
“Are ya kidding me?!?” The robber exclaimed, obviously confused as to what was happening, however, that was cut short by the sound of something being sprayed and a scream that quickly moved away as she was shoved back and hit her head on the wall behind her.
Madison fell to the ground and looked up at the man who had possibly just saved her with fear in her eyes and he in turn looked down at her through glasses that were perched on a slightly crooked nose that had obviously healed somewhat wrong after being broken. While his face was mostly flat and emotionless, save for the slight smirk, his eyes stared down at her in what looked to be a twisted form of amusement. “Shame he got away, don’t you think? I prefer my test subjects be scum from the streets, but I guess I’ll have to make do with you.” It didn’t take long after that statement for Madison to realize that it was Scarecrow who just saved her, and she was going to be his next test subject.
“So you recognise me then?” He asked, a terrifying grin growing on his face as he roughly pulled Madison to her feet and inspected her face, the grin soon falling. “You look familiar….Perhaps Johnny will recognize you while he does something about that cut on your head…” He grumbled before pulling her through the alleyway and into a small building, keeping a hand over her mouth the entire time to keep her silent.
------------------
Before long, Madison found herself handcuffed to a modified exam table with duct tape covering her mouth, waiting nervously for Scarecrow to return, attempting to ignore the feeling of blood slowly dripping down the side of her head. He had claimed that he needed to check on something, and the screams coming from another room informed her that he was doing just that. Suddenly they cut off as he walked into the room she was in, a small medical kit in hand as he stopped in his tracks and stared at her in surprise. “M-Madison? Madison Williams? Is that you?” He rushed forward and examined her closely with wide eyes before shaking his head and stepping back.
Jonathan Crane.
Jonathan Crane from back home was staring at her as she sat waiting to inevitably be used in some sort of twisted experiment. He was Scarecrow.
“No no no no, this wasn’t supposed to happen! When did you move to Gotham?” He asked, voice shaking as he looked down at the handcuffs that prevented her from escaping. “I need you to promise me that if I let you out of those that you won’t run. Alright?” She quickly nodded and stared at him with wide eyes as he quickly removed the handcuffs and duct tape. “Are you alright? Did I-he hurt you at all?”
Sitting up and scrambling to pull her knees to her chest, she looked at Jonathan in surprise before managing to force herself to speak, “y-you’re Scarecrow?” He gave a small nod and frowned when he noticed the blood on her face.
“You’re hurt...Let me help, please. I promise I won’t hurt you, I didn’t even know that it was you who he brought in. I thought that it was just some random mugging victim, but he didn’t tell me it was you!” Jonathan opened the medkit that he brought and slipped on a pair of gloves before glancing up and waiting for permission to get started. Once he got that he began to clean up the blood and cut, frowning when Madison let out a hiss of pain.
“A-Are you still going t-”
“Experiment on you? God no, but you can’t tell anyone that I’m here or that you saw me.” His voice was shaking as he inspected the cut on her temple. “You don’t need any stitches….” he mumbled while bandaging it before stepping back and looking at her. “I really am sorry Madison...I-”
Holding up a hand to stop him, she forced a small smile, “it’s okay Jonathan. I wish we didn’t run into each other like this though. Honestly, I would have preferred one of those cliche movie things where we run into each other at like a coffee shop or something instead of a mugging.” Madison joked, rubbing the back of her neck.
“Y-You’re not upset?”
She shrugged and glanced away, “I mean a little, but you technically helped me.” When she looked back at him he was closing the medkit and putting it away.
Jonathan looked at the table on the other side of the room and sighed, motioning to it after he managed to pull himself together a bit, “let’s move over there and I’ll make us some tea if one of my colleagues hasn’t stolen all of it yet. We can catch up if you’d like. I’d understand if you don’t though considering the circumstances of how we encountered each other.”
“I’d be fine with that.”

hey darl, since you opened the requests i'd love to make one! a little fic where jon is just constantly bumping into this one gal in the library to the point they worked up a routine and basically come there every week, same hour, both of them really not coming to read anymore but just to meet up and talk, and jonathan working up the courage to finally ask her on a real date? i'm so sorry if this doesn't make sense, i seem to have lost the ability to form coherent sentences lmao
It’s totally fine and thank you so much for being my first request! I hope you like it and don’t mind that I didn’t do reader insert since I’m not good at those. Enjoy!
It’s well known that the Gotham City library is home to thousands of books on thousands of subjects, so it isn’t unusual for a gothamite to come across a rogue or two while browsing for a new book to read. Of course nobody ever really does anything out of fear of being attacked or pursued by said rogue, and so the library at some point became a sort of neutral ground between the civilians and the villains (cops not included).
----
It started with a book.
All Jonathan wanted to do was find something new to read since his collection at the hideout was getting boring. While it was normal for his acquaintances to be approached in one way or another by civilians, people tended to steer clear of him, and he honestly couldn’t have it any other way. Of course, all good things have to come to an end at some point or another, and for him, it consisted of a four hundred page copy of Rebecca to be dropped just inches away from hitting him.
“I’m so sorry! Oh my god, are you alright? Did I hit you?” A female voice came from the other side of the bookshelf as a hazel eye peered at him through the small gap between two books before vanishing. He could hear said person scrambling to get down from whatever they were standing on as they obviously began to rush over to his side of the bookshelf, presumably to apologize once more and retrieve the book that they had just almost dropped on him. Within moments he was staring down at the woman’s curly mop of hair while she picked up the book, still apologizing. “I’m so so so sorry! I swear, being short is a curse considering the fact that they seem to put all of the good books on the top of the shelf! Are you alright? Did I hit you? Wait I already asked that-” She cut herself off when she stood back up and looked up at Jonathan with crooked glasses, “oh, you’re Dr. Crane!”
He gave a small smile (that he quickly got rid of) when she addressed him by his title instead of his villain name, and upon noticing what book she had picked up he decided to respond instead of just walking away like how he originally intended. “Yes, I am. Might I ask who you are?”
This seemed to make her somewhat happy considering the fact that she smiled while fixing her glasses. “I go by Kat, with a ‘k’ of course because apparently everything has to be spelled weirdly for some reason, it actually started as just a nickname from one of my friends. I don’t really know why they began calling me that seeing how my name had no ‘kat’ in it and I honestly think that they just started calling me that to see how long it would take for me to correct them, which I obviously haven’t done yet considering the fact that I actually changed my name to...Oh sorry! I’m rambling aren’t I?” The woman who he now knew went by ‘Kat’ glanced up at the clock on the wall before looking around and grabbing a book off of the shelf, thrusting it into his hands before rushing off. “Sorry, If I don’t hurry I might miss my bus! I recommend this though! Most people think that it’s just for kids but it’s still really good. Have a nice day!”
With that, she was gone and Jonathan Crane was left with a copy of Coraline in his hands. Raising an eyebrow, he read the flap copy before shrugging and continuing his search for more books, keeping the one that she gave to him as he went to leave.
-----------------
It didn’t take long for Jonathan to finish his stack of books, and so he returned to the library the following week to get more. He would never admit to anyone that he read the book that the woman from last week (Kat, he remembered) gave him, and he would also never admit that he found it interesting.
That promise to himself went out the window the moment he bumped into her, well, more like almost tripped over her considering the fact that she was seated on the floor while looking at the books on the very bottom of the shelf.
“I’m so sorry! Are you alri-Oh it’s you! How are you? Did you like the book? I know a lot of people say that it’s just for kids but I think it’s really good and I thought that maybe you might like it, of course everyone has different tastes when it comes to books so may-Sorry, I’m rambling again.”
To be honest, Jonathan didn’t mind the rambling, in fact, he found it a little cute, but that was something that he would never tell anybody. “No no, it’s fine. The book was good and I really liked the ide-are those….pumpkins on your glasses chain?” He asked, leaning forward a tad bit to get a closer look and he was in fact correct. Kat had little jack-o-lanterns on her glasses chain. How cute.
“Oh....well….yes. My other chain broke last week after it got caught on something on the bus. I don’t really wear this one unless it’s September or October but I couldn’t find any of my other chains and so I decided to just go ahead and use this one. Besides, who doesn’t like Halloween?” Her eyes widened once she remembered who she was talking to and she began to fiddle with the book that she had in her hands, opening and closing it nervously.
Chuckling at her nervous behavior, Jonathan held a book out to her. “Relax. I don’t intend to cause any trouble today, and yes, Halloween is nice. By the way, I recommend this to read.”
With a smile, Kat took the book and thanked him before gesturing to a small and slightly hidden reading area. “Care to join me Dr. Crane? It’s fine if you don’t want to, I just thought that maybe since I don’t actually have anywhere to be this time that mayb-”
“I’d love to.”
-----------------
This went on for a while, the two of them meeting up at the library to exchange book recommendations and sometimes read together, and as time went on they began to read less and talk more. Over time Jonathan began to learn small things about Kat, like how she was a student at Gotham University (“You know I used to teach there.”), how she was currently getting her masters in professional writing, and her love for rats (which he only found out about when she brought a small bag that she revealed to have her pet rat in).
It didn’t take long for Jonathan to realize that he was slowly falling in love with Kat. He couldn’t ignore the way his heart sped up whenever she suggested that they go sit, or how it jumped whenever her hand brushed against his when she pointed to something that she found exciting. Eventually, he found himself talking about her to Edward, who would just get annoyed and say that he should just ask her out.
The idea of asking Kat out was one of the few things that made him worry. What if she rejected him or only thought of him as a friend? He couldn’t possibly live with just being her friend. She was his Mistress of Fear! He needed her! It took a lot of convincing from Edward, but he eventually decided that he would ask her out the next time that they meet up.
-----------------
Sitting in his usual seat at the library, Jonathan looked at the clock on the wall every so often while he waited for Kat to show up.
Ten minutes passed, then fifteen, and eventually thirty as he waited nervously. What if she decided that she didn’t want to associate with him anymore due to his status as a villain? It hadn’t been an issue before but maybe something happened that changed her mind? Thankfully his worries were put to rest when he noticed her walk up and sit in her usual seat next to him.
“I’m so sorry I’m late Jonathan! I had to go to the bank to straighten some things out with my account and I got caught up in a robbery because apparently everyone thinks that they can rob a bank, then my bus got stuck in a traffic jam because Poison Ivy apparently escaped today and so the GCPD were checking every vehicle to make sure that she wasn’t hiding in one, which honestly I think is kind of stupid because why would she hide in some random person's car or on the bus when she hates people so much? It’s much more logical that she would immediat-Oh I’m rambling again, aren’t I?” Kat stopped talking and reached into her bag to pull out the book that Jonathan had earlier lent her from his personal collection and held it out to him, “thank you for letting me borrow this!”
With a smile he took the book and sat it on the small table between him, “it’s no problem Kat, I was honestly surprised that you had never read this one before considering the fact that it’s so popular with fans of the horror genre. By the way, I have a quick question for you.” This was it, this was the moment where he would ask her out. There was no backing out of this now.
“Would you want to go to dinner sometime?”
“Do you want to go out for coffee?”
Jonathan looked at Kat with wide eyes, who in turn was looking at him with equally wide eyes.
“Did you just-”
“Are you-”
Kat covered her mouth and nodded eagerly before lowering her hand and grinning. “We both had the same idea, didn’t we?”
“More or less.”

Hello!
How is everyone doing today? I hope you’re doing good in these odd and slightly crappy times! Anyway, I’m here to bring news!
I seem to have gotten writers block (many of you know that it sucks), and so in an attempt to fight it I will be accepting requests! Here are some ground rules though:
I will not be accepting any NSFW requests.
I write mostly for the rouges + John Constantine
I’m not the best at reader insert so I tend to create a little mini character of sorts, but I will try my hardest to do reader insert if that is what you want!
That’s all!
(Also please let me know if you wish to be added to my taglist!)

Ch. 3 - Mr. Nygma
**((AN: Trash here!  Sorry it took so long for me to update this fic! I was getting ready for a convention that was sadly cancelled due to COVID. I hope that all of you are staying safe and healthy! Onto the story!))**
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
When I woke up the first thing that I noticed was a neatly folded pair of purple and green flannel pajamas on the edge of the bed with a small note on top.
Hello Child,
I hope that you slept well. Sadly I am not here at the moment because I need to deal with something, however, Edward is here so you aren’t alone.
~Dr. Crane
Setting the note to the side and looking at the pajamas I chuckled when I noticed that there was a bright green question mark embroidered onto the front pocket of the top. After putting on the clothing and tying the bottoms so that they wouldn’t fall off of me, I stepped out of the bedroom and began to walk down the hallway until I ended up in a large room that resembled a living room. There was a dark red couch pushed off to the side with a large coffee table in front of it, next to that a c cage with a large sleeping crow inside of it, a black recliner across from the couch, and a small TV facing the rest of the furniture. Off in the corner there was green light coming out through a door that was ajar, and out of curiosity I began to walk towards it.
“I see you’re awake.” A voice came from behind the door as I opened it and a large chair in front of several computer monitors swiveled around so that the person sitting there could face me.
Green eyes looked at me over a pair of computer glasses with purple tinted lenses, a smirk forming on Riddler’s face as he leaned forward slightly. “Working in the fields I stand all day but at night I begin to stalk my prey.”
Messing with the sleeves on the pajamas, I thought for a moment before giving a small smile. “Scarecrow, right?” Once I answered his riddle, Riddler grinned and rolled his chair over to me.
“Correct! It’s good to know that Jon didn’t bring an idiot with him! Speaking of Jon, he’s going to be out for a while, so it’s going to just be you and me! Sit! Sit! How do you know Jon? Why did he want to take you with him? Come on, come on! I haven’t got all day!” Riddler began to motion with his hands as he spoke, pointing to a red chair off in the corner before pointing at the floor in front of him.
Quickly grabbing the chair and moving it in front of him, I sat down and crossed my legs on the seat, letting out a squeak when he rolled closer to me. “I…uh...I only met Dr. Crane today Mr. Nygma….I’m writing a paper for my psychology class on the ‘Rogues Gallery’ of Gotham City, so I thought it would be a good idea to interview some....” As I spoke he frowned and crossed his arms.
“If you only met him today then why did he demand that you come with us?”
“I think it might have to do with the medication I’m on? I don’t really know….” Lowering my head, I placed my hand on my wrist to feel my pulse. Frowning, I then placed the fingers on the pulse point on my neck.
Riddler chuckled and tilted his head to the side as he looked at me, smirking once more. “Feeling antsy?” At his question I frowned and shook my head.
“Chest hurts…..” I mumbled, leaning over and rubbing my chest, “it hurts a lot….Do you have any Aspirin?” Mr. Nygma leaned closer to me as I spoke and gently took my chin in a hand to tilt it up before gently placing his other hand on my forehead.
“You have a fever…” He said as he pulled his hands away. “Let's get you in bed. By the way, call me Edward, you don’t need to call me ‘Mr.Nygma’.” Edward stood up and motioned for me to do the same. When I attempted to do so my legs shook before giving out below me, but thankfully Edward lunged forward and grabbed me to prevent me from falling to the floor and hitting my head. “Okay Ms. Chadley-”
“Elizabeth,” I corrected.
“Okay Elizabeth,” he repeated, testing my name on his tongue, “let's get you back into bed.” Edward grabbed my arm with one hand and wrapped his other one around my waist to help support me as we began to walk back to the bedroom.
As we walked back to the bedroom I looked over at Edward and tilted my head. “Why are you helping? I highly doubt that you’re that interested in me considering the fact that I’m just some random person that Dr. Crane decided to take with him when he left Arkham.”
Edward’s face scrunched up at my question when we entered the bedroom. Helping me sit on the bed, he pulled up a chair and sat in front of me. “While I didn’t quite find you interesting at first, the fact that Jon finds you interesting interests me. He normally isn’t interested in anyone unless they’re a test subject of his, and the fact that he isn’t interested in using you as a test subject for his toxin interests me even more. Understand?”
“Crystal clear Edward.”

Ch. 2 - Arrival
**((AN: Trash here again! I just wanted to thank all of you for the love on the fic so far! I find a lot of joy in writing and I’m hoping that you guys will find a lot of joy in what I’m writing. Anyways, onto the story!))
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
I was warm, which was strange considering the fact that I was just in a cold room, but that didn’t matter. Curling into the source of the warmth and letting out a happy hum, I slowly opened my eyes when I heard someone chuckling.
“She sure seems comfortable on you Jon. New girlfriend? She’s awake by the way.” I could practically hear the smugness in the voice of the man speaking as I lifted my head and lazily looked around, which wasn’t very useful considering the fact that my eyes were refusing to focus.
“Shut up Ed.” Another voice said as I was set down onto something soft. Dr. Crane’s face was suddenly in my own as he pulled out a small object. “Do you mind if I touch you? I need to make sure that you’re alright, it’ll be quick.” I gave a tired nod and he hummed. “Alright, just look straight ahead.” Suddenly a light was in my eye and being flicked away repeatedly before being turned off and put away. “What’s your name child?”
It took a moment for me to process his question but I answered once I realized what he was asking. “Elizabeth Chadley….”
“Good. Do you know who I am?”
I slowly blinked and my eyes began to slowly focus as I looked at Dr. Crane. “You’re Dr. Crane....We were just talking in the interview room at Arkham...Right?” My answer seemed to satisfy him as he stepped back and stood up straight.
“Yes my child, that is correct. We are not there anymore though since my friend thankfully broke me out, but don’t worry, we’re not holding you hostage.” He said reassuringly as someone scoffed behind him, causing him to turn his head to glare at the person. “Shut up Ed, I’m actually trying to help her.”
Leaning slightly to the side to look at the person behind Dr. Crane and my eyes slightly widened when I saw who it was. “Ah! Hello there Ms. Chadley! You obviously know who I am based on your reaction!” The Riddler said as he practically strutted over to me, taking my hand in his to shake. “Now, how do you know Jonny boy here?”
“Leave her alone Ed,” Dr. Crane groaned, “she needs sleep and you need to make sure that the hideout is secure.” He said before bending down to my level again as he pushed Riddler away from me. “Do you mind if I move you to a bed? You have my word that no harm will come to you whatsoever.”
“Please?” I asked softly, my head beginning to feel stuffy once more. Dr. Crane nodded and carefully picked me up bridal style.
“How long have you been on Trandonovate child?” Dr. Crane asked as he glanced down at me.
“Um…...A few months now I think….Why?” I replied, fighting off the urge to sleep as I rested my head on his chest. For someone so skinny he sure was warm.
He tsked and shook his head before adjusting his grip on me so he could open the door into a bedroom. “Your withdrawal isn’t going to be fun….What were you on it for?”
Biting the inside of my cheek, it took me a moment to think before I answered Dr. Crane’s question. “He never really told me….” I mumbled as I was laid down on a bed, covers being pulled over my body.
“I’ll set something out for you to get changed into after you wake up.” His voice fading out as I once again fell asleep.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sitting at a table Jonathan sighed when he looked at Edward, who was staring intently at the door to the bedroom that Elizabeth was in. “What now Ed?”
“Jonathan, of them beware - keep your distance, What happens to them is none of your business. But talk to one, and oh you'll see, themselves no more, will they be.” Edward said as he looked at his friend for a moment before going back to looking at the door.
“I know she’s a stranger Ed, bu-” He was quickly cut off by the riddle user, who slammed his hand on the table, startling a crow that was sitting in a cage in the corner.
Edward stood up and slammed his hand down, staring at Jonathan. “She could tell the Bat where we are, or jus call the cops in general! I just got you out! I just got out last month! I refuse to go back to Arkham just because you decided to help some random ignoramus who you felt bad for or whatever!” Jonathan scowled for a moment and pulled off his glasses, cleaning them on the clothes that he had changed into before placing them back on his face before replying.
“Edward, I am still a doctor. I’m intrigued by this young woman and I wish to learn more about her, not to mention that fact that her doctor has her on a experimental medication that is nowhere near being cleared for human testing and refuses to tell her why she is on it. It’s common for people to keep taking a medication because they don’t want to upset their doctor, however, I have a feeling that there is more to this than what is on the surface and I intend to figure out what is happening.” The flat and even tone that Jonathan used caused a violent chill to run down Edward’s spine. “I intend to get this medication out of Ms. Chadley’s system, get her to a point where I figure out why she was being given this, and help her overall. She seems interesting and I am very sure that you will find her interesting as well.” After he finished talking, Jonathan stood up and grinned. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some research to do.”

Ch. 1 - Arkham
((Trash here! This is my first time ever really putting one of my fanfics out into the world so I really hope that you like it!))
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
Living in Gotham City is always an odd experience, especially if you’re a college student writing a paper on the villains of said city and you decide to go straight to the source to interview them. How I got permission to do so, I’ll never know.
Tightly clutching my notebook to my chest, I looked around myself as I walked into the foyer of Arkham Asylum before stopping in front of the reception desk. Said receptionist was looking lazily at the computer in front of her, obviously playing a game when I stepped up and cleared my throat to gain her attention. Her eyes slowly met my gaze and she yawned before looking back down at her screen and clicking into another window. “Name and reason for visiting?”
“I have a visitation appointment with members of the rogues gallery, and my name is Elizabeth Chadley.”
The woman sighed and leaned forward, adjusting a camera on top of the computer before taking a picture of me as she picked up the phone next to her and spoke into it. “Chadley is here for the interviews.” After she hung up the phone she looked at me tiredly, “A guard will be down to meet you, go take a seat.”
Stepping back, I took a seat in one of the few chairs that were set against a wall before opening my notebook and looking at the list on the first page as I reached into my bag and pulled out a pill bottle, quickly opening it and taking one of the pills. I can’t risk getting yelled at by my doctor again for ‘refusing his help’.

“Miss Chadley?” A gruff voice called my name and I stood up to greet the guard. “Peter Jackson. I’ll be the one keeping you safe from the crazies in here. You’ve already been through inspection so just follow me.”
“Well that was quick…” I mumbled as I followed him into a small square interview room, feeling my medication begin to kick in as the familiar wet blanket draped itself over my brain. “You got my updated list and informed them what I’m doing, correct?”
“Yeah, I’ll be right outside the room and there’s a camera right up there.” He said as he pointed up to a single camera in the corner. The radio on Peter’s shoulder buzzed to life the moment he put his hand down, informing him that they were outside the door. “First crazy is here. Good luck.” With that he stepped out of the room as the first interviewee was cuffed to the table before that guard left as well.
Cold blue eyes stared into my own as the former psychopharmacologist smirked lazily. “Hello there child, I assume you’re the one writing the paper. Tell me, how on Earth did you manage to talk the directors into allowing you to interview me with no guards in the room?” He asked, voice smooth as he tilted his head to the side.
“Pleasure to meet you Dr. Crane, my name is Elizabeth Chadley. As you know I’m writing a paper on the so called ‘Rogues Gallery’ of Gotham so thank you for agreeing to this interview.” I said calmly.
Dr. Crane’s smirk slowly grew into a smile as he leaned forward to get closer to me. “Does this not scare you child? Does it not scare you to be this close to the master of fear with nobody else in the room? If this doesn’t scare you then what does?” His voice held humor in it as his eyes widened and flitted over my face in an attempt to find a trace of fear.
With a small smirk I ran a hand through my hair before lazily meeting his gaze and resting my head on a hand. “Having a bad doctor who doesn’t listen to you can come in handy sometimes Dr. Crane. Even if he gets mad at you when you tell him that the meds are hurting you, although I’m sure you know all about that,” his smile fell and he sat back, “anyways, as much as I want to spend hours talking to each of you on the list I sadly cannot because I have a time limit for each meeting, I can come back on a later day if that’s okay with you.”
Crane furrowed his brow as he looked into my eyes again as if he were looking for something. “Trandonovate?” He asked, frowning when I nodded. “That’s still experimental, people aren’t supposed to be taking that yet, you shouldn’t be here right now.”
“I need to get this paper done Dr. Crane, my health can wait.” I mumbled as I looked down at the blank papers in front of me. “Can we please begin?”
“Those are the kind of thoughts that can kill you child. You need to go see somebody. If your professor is even half-way decent then they’ll understand your situation and give you an extension for the paper, even I would of done that when I taught at Gotham University.” Crane’s voice had traces of worry in it as glanced up at the clock on the wall. “Child, you need to leave. Now. You cannot be here in this condition, especially not now.” The more he spoke the more worried his voice became, but the blanket on my brain was too heavy and I began to struggle to understand his words.
A loud blast partially snapped me out of my dazed state and my head whipped around in worry. “Breakout…?” I asked as I looked at Crane once more, becoming more worried when he nodded.
“Don’t worry child, you won’t be harmed. You’re tired, right? Just close your eyes and sleep. It’ll be over when you wake up.” His voice was fuzzy, along with everything else around me as I closed my eyes and began to drift away, the sound of screams and the door bursting open not even bothering me.
“Who’s that Jon? What should we do with her?”
“All you need to know is that she’s coming with us Ed.”
