Also there are 188 of you following this little blog, when the HECK did that happen?!
Hi! Welcome! Thanks for the follow! I hope this blog has been helpful for you/will be helpful in the future! I don’t think I’ll be very active until either the show or the comic comes back, but if anything comes up that I think you guys should know about, I’ll be sure to post it here!

The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #7 Content Warnings
General comic warnings here.
Body Horror: We see all of Mom’s organs in one shot.
Nudity (Kinda): Barbie Doll Anatomy with the aforementioned Mom shot.
Violence/Gore: Some bloody but not SUPER graphic wounds seen. Showers of gore are seen later on.
Other: Heavy apocalyptic imagery. Self-harm is used as a method of combat.

The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #6 Content Warnings*
General comic warnings here.
Body Horror: One character is seen as a mummy-like corpse with a hole in them; not bloody but possibly gross depending on your tolerance.
Harm to animals: Dr. Terminal absorbs a bunch of animals at a zoo--while they’re not seen injured, they are seen starting to be absorbed into his suit.
Other: Some scenes are set in a hospital. An infant is in danger throughout one of the issue’s subplots (never harmed and probably not at risk of being so, but still). Brief apocalyptic imagery at the end of the issue. Also, Dr. Terminal is still around, unfortunately.
*Very late, I know, I’m sorry. The last month has been Wild.

Okay, so, deepest apologies for not getting a full review up sooner, I’ve been busy and distracted, but my preliminary content warning for the most recent issue is that there’s a ghost that looks a bit gruesome (though not bloody). I don’t remember anything worse, but I’ll be sure to update with a more in-depth content warning.

An Update: From the look of my issue pre-order, the latest issue of Hotel Oblivion isn’t out until later in the month, so that’s when I’ll post how the comic is going. I know, I’m disappointed, too.

I didn’t mean to watch this show all in one day but I got invested WHOOPS anyways the content warnings are all up!
You can check them out on the masterlist here! I will say, the show is a lot tamer than the comics are, but if you have issues with violence, child abuse, adoptive sibling incest, or just any general concerns, you may want to check them out. I’ll also accept asks from people with specific questions, or to point out any content warnings I might’ve missed.

Umbrella Academy: Season One General Warnings
One last time, I’ll be sticking these under a read-more for anyone who wants to go in as blind as possible, but if child abuse, emotional abuse/manipulation, adoptive sibling incest, or drug use are content warnings for you, then you may want to read the list. You can also hit me up off anon and I’ll answer any specific questions you might have!
Child abuse: Hargreeves is still a POS father, so if Brenner from Stranger Things or Stick from Daredevil were a problem from you, he’s like the worst of both those worlds.
Emotional abuse/manipulation: One character spends pretty much almost the whole show being lied to and manipulated by someone who is trying to create a wedge between them and the rest of the family. There are a lot of classic abuse tactics at play.
Adoptive Sibling Incest: While the show dropped Vanya/Diego as a pairing, Luther/Allison is still very much in play. Unlike in the comics, where I always got the impression the mutual feelings were the result of two fucked up people being fucked up, the show just kind of doesn’t seem to care that they were raised as siblings? So it can definitely be icky. It’s at its worst in episode six, but it’s scattered throughout the last 2/3 of the show.
Drug use: Klaus is still the junkie we know and love, and while the drug use isn’t as graphic as it has been in the comic, it’s still there.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Ten Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for adoptive sibling incest and some other things.
Adoptive sibling incest: We sorta see a Luther/Allison kiss from when they were kids. Allison also gets Super Weird about the fact that Luther had sex with someone. Later they have an emotionally intimate (though not super explicitly romantic) scene in a phone booth).
Abuse: Vanya has a montage of all the shit that happened to her as a kid that messed her up.
Violence: Death by impalement; some gore during a later fight scene.
Other: More romantic moments (specifically two kisses) with the age difference couple.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Nine Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for body horror and other things.
Body Horror: It’s not bloody or gorey but it’s very disconcerting.
Violence: Fairly graphic death-by-stabbing.
Adoptive sibling incest: More romantic Luther/Allison (though it’s just a love declaration).
Other: One character has a claustrophobia induced panic attack.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Eight Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for child abuse, blood, and other things.
Child abuse: Hargreeves continues to be The Devil and we see more of how he treated Vanya (including forcing another Academy member to do something that hurts her in the long run).
Violence: Lots of blood towards the end of the episode.
Consent issues: It’s a brief thing, but some background dialogue and a flashback makes the extent to which Allison used her powers to make her wishes real, including making someone love her (though it’s not clear who).
Other: There’s more romantic stuff with the age difference couple.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Seven Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for child abuse (HEAVY CW for this episode) and other things. There’s also several club scenes with bright/flashing lights, and the scenes are set up to be loud and disorienting.
Child abuse: There are some graphic depictions of child physical abuse early in the episode. Also, Hargreeves spills a lot of nonsense about his motivations, which can be difficult to listen to, especially when he truth-drops how far he went to manipulate them. This one is a bigass spoiler, so if you have concerns about it, you can message me off anon and I’ll give you the context? But it’s a bigass spoiler.
Violence: Close up shot of a shrapnel wound.
Drug use: One character gets drunk, and then high. For once it’s not Klaus.
Other: There is one character whose relationship with an older woman becomes specifically romantic here, but that’s a YMMV thing as to how you feel about age gaps. There’s also a variation of the cowboy god scene from Dallas, but with a little girl on a bike this time and less racism/calling Klaus a fairy; again, make of that what you will.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Six Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for adoptive sibling incest and some assorted content. There’s also some flashing lights in a combat scene in the second half of the episode.
Adoptive sibling incest: There’s some more Allison/Luther content--a flashback that’s not overtly romantic but still, a cheek kiss, and then a dance scene and full-on kiss.
Other: One character is seen using the bathroom; angles and clothes prevent any nudity but still it’s kinda uncomfy. Klaus spends most of this episode detoxing through questionable methods.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Five Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible. The biggest content warning is that there’s rapid blink/flashing lights during a bath scene with Klaus.
Lemon content: There is the start of a sex scene but it cuts away before things get too explicit. Just figured I’d let you know for if you’re watching with your parents or something.
Other: One character has a PTSD meltdown, and the affects of it are seen throughout the episode.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Four Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for torture, drug/alcohol use, child abuse, adoptive sibling incest, and other things.
Violence: Some burn wounds are seen in an early scene. There’s also a torture scene that involves strangulation and water-boarding. Lots of graphic gore shots at one point.
Drug/alcohol use: Two characters get high off an edible. Five gets drunk this episode, and while he’s technically of age, his body isn’t.
Child abuse: We see some of Klaus’s treatment by Hargreeves.
Adoptive sibling incest: The fact that Allison and Luther are into each other is referenced.
Other: One character vomits (sounds, but no sight of vomit).

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Three Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has content warnings for self-harm, consent issues, and other things. There’s also flashing lights during a fight scene towards the end.
Self-Harm (kinda): One character burns themselves with a curling iron to seal a wound. Another character sews through their own hand (though this is due to mental problems and not deliberate self-harm).
Consent Issues (biggest spoiler): Allison reveals she used her powers on her kid several times, though she is remorseful and realizes it was fucked up.(end biggest spoiler).
Other: Diego goes through an experience similar to losing a parent to dementia.

Umbrella Academy: Season One, Episode Two Content Warnings
Putting these under a cut for those who want to go in as blind as possible, but this episode has warnings for violence and other things.
Violence: Some gore shots early on. There’s also a graphic (though not bloody) torture scene and the aftermath is seen later.
Other: Five is technically an adult, but seeing him drink, talk about being in relationships, and having Klaus talk about sex around him feels weirder with an actual kid onscreen. Klaus spends his first scene in very tight briefs.
