You went down to the breakroom, needing to pick up the lunch you left in the fridge earlier in the morning.

Sure, you could simply eat at the breakroom, but you much preferred eating at the Daycare with your two boys instead, especially since the kids were being brought out for mealtimes right about now.

After what felt like hours of wandering the endless neon halls of the Pizzaplex, you open a door labeled EMPLOYEES ONLY, your eyes being bombarded by the bright fluorescent lights, still slightly flickering, and the pale white concrete walls and tiling floor.

You open the fridge, rummaging through the other food inside before pulling out your crinkled paper bag. You decided to fill up your flask with the water dispenser since you were there already.

As the slightly broken water dispenser choppily churn out water into your flask at a mind-numbingly slow pace, you overheard a few of your coworkers whispering behind you on the white folding table and chairs.

“Holy shit, it’s them.”

“The clownfucker? No way.”

“They spend all their time at that daycare, I’m surprised they’re even capable of spending time away from those two gangly fucks.”

You heard them silently chuckle. Your heart ached slightly, it wasn’t the first time you had been teased for your relationship with the two daycare attendants, but it was certainly starting to take a toll on you.

You hurriedly capped your barely filled flask and scurried back to the daycare.

“Sunshine! You’re back!”

“Starlight! We missed you!”

“I’m back.”

The two six-foot animatronics dashed towards you, embracing you with a large group hug, their usual way of greeting you. Sure, you had only been gone for a few minutes, but to them, it felt like an eternity.

“Sunshine, you seem sad, is anything wrong?”

“What? N-no, it’s fine.”

Sun and Moon were always very tuned into your emotions, maybe it was the fact they had spent so much time around you they could easily read you like an open book, or maybe it was their built-in facial scanners.

“Are you sure, starlight? You know there’s nothing that makes us feel worse than seeing you down.”

“It’s fine, I swear!”

Not wanting to pry further and risk hurting your feelings, the two animatronics brought you up to their room, where you could enjoy your meal in peace.

You were conked out, lying on a few spare blankets and pillows taking a nap, as requested specifically by Moon. The two animatronics stared at your sleeping form so at peace and beautiful…

However, their attention wasn’t fully on you. They had been running the past few hours of security footage in their head for a while, trying to find whatever was making their beloved sunshine so down.

The ability to access camera footage was constantly used by the two since it let them more easily deal with… troublemakers. It was first installed to let the animatronics see intruders or missing children, so they could come to the rescue, but it seems the two were using them for a far more heinous purpose.

“I found it.”

“What, you did?”

“The breakroom camera, 1:47 PM.”

“I see, those two troublemakers are spreading vicious rumors about our darling sunshine!”

“Exactly. I think it’s about time we teach them a lesson~”

The two staff members, Pat and Mike left the breakroom. Their break was over, and they needed to get back to the prize counter before their boss started chewing them out.

The way to the prize counter was usually long and tedious, but with the help of a few shortcuts, they could make it there no time flat, with the only downside being having to traverse several dark hallways.

Unfortunately for them, a certain someone did their best work in the dark.

“Dude, hurry up. The boss is going to be there in 3 minutes.”

“I’m trying!”

“Naughty, naughty…”

“Hey, did you hear that?”

“Naughty boys, you must be punished…”

“Oh yeah, I hear it.”

“What do you want Moonman? We still have 3 minutes before break ends, we haven’t broken any rules.”

“You broke my rules by making my starlight sad, so now you have to face the consequences…”

“Oh yeah? What the hell are you going to do?”

Just then, both employees felt their necks getting pulled up by a cold metal grip. The grip tightened, tightened, and tightened. Their air supply was cut off, and they were gasping for air.

“What you deserve.”

You woke up, your eyes fluttering open, revealing you had been moved into Sun’s lap.

“Good morning sunshine!”

“Morning Sun, where’s Moon?”

“Oh, they wanted to get something for you! I’m sure they’ll be back in no time!”

Just then, like speaking of the devil, Moon entered the room, carrying two large bottles of Fizzy Faz.

“Good morning, starlight~”

“Morning Moon! What’s with the Soda?”

“Oh, those are the movie we’re watching later, with the kids, remember?”

“Oh yeah!”

“How about me and Sun go set up while you go get the kids?”

“Okay!”

“Hm, good.”

You reached into your pocket, grabbing your phone to contact the other employee about the kids’ whereabouts. Just then, you noticed a new message from Pat and Mike.

yo, real dick move of us earlier. Super sorry. We’ll get you lunch tomorrow.

Huh. Weird.

“Clipse! Look! Barrel seats!”

“Slow down, my treasure! We’ve just entered, don’t make too much noise!”

Today was a special day for Eclipse. As a celebration for their most recent plunder, he decided to bring his crew to the local pub near one of the docks.

It wasn’t frequented by sailors, so he was safe to do as he pleased there without worrying about getting arrested. More importantly, it meant he got to go on an outing with his beloved, which more than made up for the risk.

Sure, some might have seen it as unnecessarily dangerous, but seeing them so happy melted his heart. Especially since he was an infamous pirate, he was sure no one would dare try anything.

He sat down on a repurposed barrel, ordering a pint of beer. He wasn’t too sure how beer might affect his beloved, so he ordered them water.

The cozy lamps, rustic furniture, and general warm feeling were bliss. With his darling sitting on his lap drinking from a small wooden mug, it was even better than bliss.

“Clipse, look drunk.”

“I… hic! not a chance my love, hic! not a chance! I’m… hic! perfectly normal! Just going to… hic! take a nice nap.”

“Goodnight Clipse!”

“Goodnight, treasure… hic!”

Eclipse woke up, his head feeling like hell. God, he should really control his alcohol intake. Peaking out the window, he saw the sun rising. They really spent all night in this pub?

He rubbed his head, getting up from the wooden countertops. He gestured for his darling, only to realize…

Shit.

They weren’t on his lap.

Where were they.

He immediately sobered up, busting out the front door. Where were they?

“Well, would you look at this!”

A voice, from where?

“A sea monster, these don’t come here often. They’ll fetch a pretty price at the market.”

Back of the pub, got it.

Eclipse frantically rushed over before it was too late, finding two disgruntled men looking over his beloved, who was trapped in a net.

Bastards.

“Let’s send them to the market, and see how much gold we can get.”

“Yes sir!”

“I’m sorry, but you’ll only be getting lead for them.”

The two men turned around, to see a very pissed-off Eclipse pointing a flintlock pistol towards them.

“Put them down, and we can forget this whole thing ever happened.”

“And if I don’t?”

“You fucker! You shot him!”

The man was rolled up like a ball on the ground, writhing in pain. His leg had just been shot by a flintlock pistol.

“I warned him. Now unless you wish to join him, move out of my fucking way.”

The man’s face turned pale, dragging his friend away from the aggravated Eclipse. Shoving the two aside, he rushed over to his darling, slicing open the net keeping them trapped with a single swing of his sword.

“My precious treasure, are you alright?”

“Yes…”

“Good, good. Let’s go back to the ship. I’m sorry about all this, I truly am.”

The two walked off, Eclipse carrying them bridal-style as he made his way off this wretched dock, back to his ship.

The second part to this oneshot! I literally wrote this immediately after the first, since I couldn’t wait to conclude it.

My first time writing something remotely serious or emotional, I hope it doesn’t come off as cringe or forced. I’ve been wanting to share this idea I’ve had for so long, so I may have rushed it a little XD

Also, I tried super hard to give an explanation and reasonable link between this and Ruin, and Sun’s appearance there.

“Sunshine, wake up!”

Your eyes fluttered open at a familiar sing-song voice. You examined your surroundings.

So it wasn’t a nightmare after all, you really were trapped in a Pizzeria with killer animatronics while being carried around by Sun.

“Look! The upgrade machine is right there! You’re finally able to go home!”

Sun glided down, placing you gently on the floor. He examined the upgrade machine, happily jumping in place once he realized it was in working condition.

“If my database is not outdated, if I insert your employee pass inside, it should allow you to take any pass you like for free!”

He reached a hand out expectantly. You dug around in your jacket and pulled out your employee pass. It was dirty and had definitely seen better days, but it should still be readable by the machine. You place it in his hands.

“Thank you, sunshine!”

Inserting it into the machine, Sun examines the various buttons. Pressing one, he examines the screen again.

“Hm, this is strange.”

“What is it?”

“Take a look, sunshine. The Helpy is on the ground, and there’s a huge error sign.”

You take a look. Sure enough, there was a huge error sign on it. Realizing that you couldn’t even get a VIP pass anymore, you sighed.

“Great. I’m stuck here.”

“N-now, don’t get too upset there sunshine! I can reboot the machine, maybe that’ll work!”

Rumble

“Hey…”

Rumble

“Do you feel the ground shaking?”

Rumble

“Don’t tell me there’s an Earthquake going on?”

Rumble

“I don’t think so, look.”

You point towards the suspicious trail of dark black smoke developing nearby. Just then, the fire alarm rang.

“Oh no! Oh no! Oh n-no! Fire! Quick sunshine, I need to get you out of here!”

Sun frantically began hitting the upgrade machine with all his might. He had a small sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, the machine would break open and let him take a pass from the storage compartment within.

“Hold on, sunshine! Almost… there…”

“Sun, I think the fire’s coming closer!”

CRACK

“It’s open! It’s open! I just need to get the pass…”

“Sun!”

“Not now sunshine! I’m almost there…”

“You’re on fire!”

Sun paused from digging through the inside of the machine, taking to moment to realize his right pants leg was on fire. He frantically used his free hand to pat the fire out, only causing the plastic shell on it to start melting off.

“Sun, it's fine! I don’t need a pass! Just get out of the fire!”

“N-no, it's f-fine s-s-sunshine! I’m j-just dandy!”

His voice box began to glitch, the fire causing his torso’s shell to crack. His right leg had been completely melted, leaving behind his metal endoskeleton, and even then his feet had gone missing.

“T-there! I g-got the pass!”

He pulled out the pass, crawling towards the fire exit, where his sunshine was waiting.

“Sun, it’s fine! We need to put out the fire! That stupid pass can wait!”

You were frantically trying to rescue Sun from the raging fire spreading rapidly in the Pizzaplex as he slowly crawled towards the fire exit. Struggling to keep together as his endoskeleton and programming were being boiled, he weakly unlocked the door.

Just like that, the door opened. The glorious view of the night sky from the roof leaked in, a full view of an escape from this burning hellscape.

“S-s-sunshine! Look, t-the exit!”

Sun weakly collapsed on the ground, feeling himself overheating and his plastic shell beginning to crack. He felt the other half of his faceplate beginning to run down onto the floor.

“C’mon, Sun! We can escape together!”

“N-no, it’s f-fine sunshine! G-go! I-I’ll only slow you d-d-down…”

Standing at the door, you could feel the blazing heat making you sweat. Still attempting to pull Sun towards you, you pulled with all your might.

“I-it’s fine, sunshine! J-j-just go!”

Sun used his remaining bit of strength to push you away, shutting the doors behind you, and sealing himself and everyone else in the burning building.

“Sun?”

You got up from the floor, slamming against the door. You couldn’t believe it, he just let himself die!

No.

No, this wasn’t real.

It couldn’t be.

No.

You heard a faint voice from the other side of the door.

“G-goodbye, sunshine.”

This oneshot is finally based off vanilla FNaF, no fancy AUs this time. I’ve had this idea in my head for a good while now, and I’m finally putting it into writing with a 2 part oneshot!

I tried super hard to make this story make sense and fit into the FNaF Security Breach timeline, with it happening somewhere around Gregory’s visit and before Cassie. Also, since the canon ending is still being debated, I’m sticking with it being the Burntrap ending since it fits with the oneshot better.

Art below is made by @bamsara, they make super simp-worthy art. I quite like their moon stuff, super adorable. (Also they make really funny shitposts)

“Rulebreaker! Rulebreaker! You are banned from the Daycare!”

You heard the loud commotion what in the world was happening out there? Peaking out from the balcony, you saw Sun carrying a child out of the Daycare.

“Security alert, security alert! Woo! Wooo!”

You flinched slightly at the sudden slam of the Daycare’s doors. Sun was rather far away, but you could make out him sighing, and him reattaching his cable before gliding back towards the balcony.

Sun gently landed on the balcony, disconnecting his cable and giving it a tug to signal it to zip back up to the roof.

“What was that all about?”

“I’m sorry sunshine, but some kid appeared and caused so much trouble, I had to deal with him!”

“I saw the lights turn off, did you…?”

“Yes, Moon” he sighed, “luckily, he targeted him and not you.”

Sun sighed, grabbing a pillow off the ground and hugging it. He found you asleep at the security desk after closing, and once he discovered the sudden violence going on, he brought you up to his room to hide until opening hours. However, the recent event has made it questionable how safe this hiding spot really is.

“Anything you need, sunshine?”

“Nothing, it’s fine.”

Sun tilted his head slightly, clearly using his built-in mood scanner to examine you. After a while of awkward silence, he spoke up.

“Is something bothering you?”

“It’s just…”

“You can speak, sunshine. No one’s here to hurt you.”

“What if the lights go out again? There was that kid to distract Moon this time, but what if there’s a blackout? Who will be there to protect me from him?”

Sun's heart ached at the thought, his mood turning somber. He could clearly see how afraid you were, practically shrinking into the corner of the room.

“So… what can I do to help, sunshine?”

“I’m not sure.”

Sun thought for a moment, for any possible way to get you out of your current predicament.

“How about we use the fire exit?”

“Not a chance, that thing is locked behind a VIP pass, remember?”

“So, why don’t we get a VIP pass? As long as the lights are on, I can bring you around. There’s an upgrade machine in Customer Service, we can get one.”

You seriously considered the idea, although it was ridiculously dangerous, it could get you out of your situation.

“So, what do you say sunshine?”

“Sun, please be careful…”

“Don’t worry sunshine! This cable can hold more than 400 pounds of weight, more than enough for both of us!”

You held on to Sun for dear life as he carried you bridal-style while gliding around 20 feet in the air. It was a good method to get around the Pizzaplex without incurring the wrath of the fellow animatronics, sure, but it sure didn’t help with your fear of heights.

“Look, we’re almost there! Hang in there sunshine!”

Sun gracefully glided through the air, landing gently next to the front doors of Customer Service. He placed you down carefully before immediately shoving you behind a pillar.

“What was that for?!”

“I’m sorry sunshine, but I need you to hide!”

“Sun, who were you talking to?”

Oh, Vanessa. Right.

“No one! I was just having a nice conversation with Moon!”

“Uh-huh, and why are you outside the Daycare?”

“Well friend, I wanted to… check on the upgrade machine! If it breaks, no one will be able to get a Daycare pass tomorrow after all!”

“Well, you’re in luck. Some bratty kid broke it with a Mr. Hippo magnet, so it won’t dispense anything but Daycare passes.”

“O-oh… so it won’t dispense, let’s say, VIP passes?”

“No, luckily I had it sent to Parts and Service to get it fixed tomorrow.”

“O-oh. Is there any other upgrade machine nearby?”

“Oh, yeah. I told a staff bot to grab a spare from the security office. It was too heavy for them though, so I left it at the Prize Counter until I could get Monty, but I can’t find him anywhere.”

“So, you’re saying that there’s an upgrade machine at the Prize Counter?”

“Yes, why?”

“Oh nothing at all friend, I better get going now!”

Sun hurriedly pushed Vanessa aside until she was out of view, and then scooped you up quicker than light.

“Great. Now we’ve got to go even further for that pass.”

“Not at all, sunshine! The Prize Counter is actually nearer to the fire exit! You can grab your pass and get out faster!”

“Huh. I guess you’re right.”

Eclipse had an agitated scowl on his face, staring angrily at the various members of his gang seated at the table, all of which had their heads down in fear. One member was especially fearful, practically suffocating under Eclipse’s death glare.

“Would anyone care to repeat what this idiot had just said?”

Eclipse growled, his voice brimming with anger. One member raised their hand, trying to control its nonstop shaking.

“H-he asked why your right-hand was sleeping on your lap, s-sir.”

Eclipse shot them a fierce look, making them shrink back into their seat. Despite their obvious stupidity, it was clear to him that he had to explain why his right-hand was on his lap, head buried in his chest while still asleep.

“If you cretins really wish to know, they had a rough day yesterday. I’m letting them sleep in.”

He could hear a small snicker from the room, making his blood boil and his scowl turn even more bitter, if that was even possible.

“If anyone of you dare to wake them up or find this humorous, I will make sure that you get sent home in a body bag. Clear?”

The room turned so silent, you could hear a pin drop. They hesitantly nodded in agreement, faced turning as white as a sheet.

“Good. This meeting is dismissed.”

The room emptied quickly, members flooding out the door swiftly. Eclipse growled, before gazing upon his sleeping beauty.

“Goodnight, my love.”

He petted them affectionately, his expression turning to a soft smile. He kissed them gently on the cheek, before letting their head rest on his chest once again.

“I’m having enough of this fucking boss, and his stupid orders. He treats his right-hand like they’re some kind of royalty!”

“Well, he’s our boss. And they’re his love.”

The two members discussed, one very frustrated. The second member patted him on the back before making his way. The second, however, stayed behind to lean on the meeting room’s doors, plotting a sinister plan.

Just then, Eclipse walked out. Noticeably, his right-hand wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Seeing this, the second member grew curious. Putting on an innocent facade, he asked him;

“Where are you going, sir?”

“Getting them a blanket, does it concern you?”

“N-no sir, but do you want me to get it for you?”

“No. They’re my right-hand, aren’t they?”

“Y-yes sir.”

“So fuck off.”

As Eclipse disappeared into the endless corridors, the second member realized he had the perfect opportunity.

Peaking into the meeting room, he saw the right-hand, still asleep on the large armchair Eclipse sat on. Reaching into his pinstripe coat, he pulled out a handgun. He aimed it towards them, and…

You woke up, noticing the silk blanket draped on your shoulders and your position on Eclipse’s lap.

“Good morning, love.”

He kissed you lightly on your forehead, a soft expression on his face. You kissed him back, still half-asleep.

“Morning…”

“So, how was your sleep?”

“Good…”

Your eyes widened, what time was it?

“Oh god, what time is it? I had stuff planned today!”

“Don’t worry that pretty little head of yours, I’ve had it all taken care of.”

Your face flushed red, that was sweet of him.

“Thank you.”

“Not a problem, love. Now, how about you go get a drink to freshen up and come back here to continue our cuddle session?”

“O-okay!”

You kissed him happily on the cheek before scurrying to the kitchen. Once you were out of sight, Eclipse picked up the telephone on his desk.

“Is the body disposed of?”

The voice from the phone answered, slightly fuzzy but still able to be heard.

“Yes, sir.”

“Good. Oh, and bring their hat back, I’d like to make an example out of them later.”

“Yes, sir. If I may ask, isn’t this the new recruit from yesterday?”

“Yes, why?”

“No reason, but what did they do to deserve… I mean, their hat is literally soaked in blood. I’ve been working for you for ten years, and I’ve never seen you kill someone like this.”

“They tried to disturb a piece of art, that’s what.”

He slammed the phone down, ending the call abruptly. Just then, the door to his office opened, revealing his love with a cup of water in their hands. His heart nearly melted from the adorable sight.

No one would ever disturb them.

No one.

He would make sure of that.

PS: The Little Mermaid gets referenced in this story, I’m referring to the original story by Hans Christian Andersen since it fits the story better and also because I didn’t know how to have them watch a Disney animated movie on a Pirate Ship because I’m a fraud.

“Clipse?”

“Yes, my little treasure?”

Eclipse puts down the dust-coated map he had been studying, carefully placing it on a wooden table decorated with various stolen goods and weapons.

“Can ask you a question?”

Eclipse walks over carefully, draping himself over the large armchair his darling was seated at.

“Anything, my sea star.”

“Would you love me more if I was still a Selkie?”

Eclipse froze slightly from the sudden question, he knew that his beloved was very conscious of their monstrous appearance but this was still quite out of the blue. He gently picked them off the armchair, sliding himself onto the chair with them on his lap.

“Now where would you get such a silly idea, treasure?”

“This.”

His love pointed towards a page on the book they had been reading, the Little Mermaid, as Eclipse had suggested to them earlier. Eclipse gently plucked the book out of their hands, examining the page. The page was torn and was a horrid shade of yellow, but the text was still legible.

“Mermaid is so beautiful, yet Prince does not marry her. If I am a monster, how do you like me?”

Eclipse's heart ached at the thought, bringing his precious closer to him. He put the book aside on a nearby table, holding them close.

“My treasure, I love you no matter what. I’m not like some snobbish prince, who just chooses the prettiest one. I love you for who you are.”

His beloved chuckled at the playful insult towards the prince, sending butterflies into Eclipse’s stomach. God, what he would do to see them happy. He caressed their cheek, bringing them in for a kiss.

“You’re beautiful, love.”

His darling smiled happily, leaning into his embrace. Eclipse chuckles, wrapping his arms around them as the room turned so silent, the only noise was the tides of the sea and squabbling crew members above on the deck.

“There’s still some time before we reach McDonough Island for our next plunder, you want to lie in bed with me? I can’t imagine this old chair being too comfortable.”
