some photos i took from emerson college’s encampment for palestine. most of these were taken only a few hours before the boston PD attacked hundreds of protestors and brutally arrested 108 students, most of whom were poc, jewish, and/or queer.
anyone who spent any amount of time in the encampment will tell you just how much it brought us all together—there was always food, music, arts and crafts, and hundreds of messages of support written in chalk.
after the BPD was done brutalising us for peacefully protesting, they power washed down the walls of the encampment—all of these messages are gone. theyre trying to erase what happened, but they’ll never truly be able to. everyone saw, and everyone will remember.

"Disney lied to me. I wrote the song back when Tarzan's dad was still Jack the Ripper like in the books," Phil Collins breaks silence on why Two Worlds One Family from the film Tarzan (1999) goes SO DAMN HARD.
"I'm kind of a bibliophile and an amateur eroticist, so obviously A Feast Unknown by Philip José Farmer is the definitive take on the lord of the trees for me. The One Family was supposed to be about the Wold Newton Family and be an early hint that he and Doc Savage were half brothers. It was supposed to play when they first crossed schlongs on the big bridge (an homage to the Gilgamesh fight from FF5)."
Phil was silent for a long time after this revelation, possibly knowing he would soon be getting a visit from one of Disney's ruthless assassins for breaking his NDA, a silence broken only by the drum solo from In The Air Tonight. When he had recovered, he took a big sip of Diet Sprite and vodka (his beverage of choice) and lamented in a mournful voice, "they even took out the hour-long ape buggery scene. It was beautiful, but they said the world just wasn't ready."
From Moon Knight-Core on Facebook. It's nice to find someone else who has read the Wold-Newton Universe stories of Philip Jose Farmer.

A council put up a Welsh language road sign reading "I am out of the office at the moment" when it should have said "No entry for heavy goods vehicles".
Swansea council contacted its in-house translation service when designing the bilingual sign. The seeds of confusion were sown when officials received an automated email response in Welsh from an absent translator, saying: "I am not in the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated."
Unaware of its real meaning, officials had it printed on the sign. The council took down the sign after Welsh speakers spotted the mistake.

"My wife is gone, my girl is gone,
my books are loaned, my clothes
are worn, I gave away a car; and
all that happened years ago.
Mind & matter, love & space
are frail as foam on beer.

"Dr David Teachey, from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said: “Although most children with Covid-19 do not have severe disease, our study shows that there may be other effects of SARS-CoV-2 that are worthy of investigation."
"Blood vessels are channels that carry essential nutrients, like oxygen, to all the organs in the body. They also carry waste products away."
"In the brain, damage to vessels could lead to inflammation, while in the limbs, reduced blood flow could lead to ‘Covid toe’, it added."
"The rare side effect of Covid can affect people of any age, although reports suggest children and teens suffer more that adults."
"Dr David, added: "We should continue testing for and monitoring children with SARS-CoV-2 so that we can better understand how the virus affects them in both the short and long term.”
Here is the link to the original study [the article above was also first published a little more than several months ago]:
