It’s that time again! Collabang is a 2-for-1. Outlining will get you one fact about the fic I’m working on, which may not be from this list. I probably won’t get everything answered today because of work, but my goal is to finish by the end of the weekend with today’s asks as well as the ones lingering from last week. Make me write!

It doesn’t occur to Peter until he’s halfway to the pack house that he’s getting ready to confront his alpha over something said to him by a fifth grader. The lapse isn’t like him. Peter relies on his instincts in his work, yes, but he always checks his facts first. He always plans.

He doesn’t know what it is about Stiles that makes him so certain he’s telling the truth. He can also tell the boy isn’t the type to have a problem lying. Maybe it’s that he recognizes someone else who calculated and balances the truths they tell. Maybe he’s just curious.

Peter believed Stiles, but he doesn’t have enough information to confront Talia. There’s an easy solution to that. He takes the next turn, circling back toward town. He has some research to do.

Notes: First attempt at full body, first attempt at Derek’s and Stiles’ stupidly perfect faces, and first contribution to Pink Panties Sunday! Also, inspiration goes to Devil Doll’s fantastic Neckz 'n Throats fic, Love Runs Wild!

Other Notes: This started out as a sketchy sketch that I just kept putzing around with and now I’m done. D-U-N, done. Apologies for not polishing it into a fine, fine diamond like I should. ;3; Also, true fact: I was nervous about drawing Tyler Hoechlin’s face because I can barely stand just looking at it, so having to study it for drawing purposes damn near killed me. Also, also, how many bite marks is too much?  Also, also, also, for some reason, whenever I first attempt to draw any character/pairing in a realistic style, I always draw in red.  *waggles hand*

if you like crafting and also free things, might i suggest the antique pattern library?

it’s a not for profit that’s gathering books, patterns, and other materials related to crafting that are out of copyright (or getting permission from copyright holders in some cases) in order to share them online. they scan items, clean them up, then make everything available for free!

free things are great, especially when you’re just starting to get into something. like oh, i’m supposed to spend money on this hobby i just picked up 20 minutes ago???

the first time i ended up on the site, i seriously spent hours just trawling through everything. there’s the usual suspects like knitting, crochet, embroidery, but there’s also woodwork, calligraphy, and books on things like how to mount and frame pictures. with cross stitch patterns, they also make modern charts with the dmc colour codes available.

Here’s the thing about LGBT+ vs. Queer.

I’m ace, nonbinary, and demiromantic. With LGBT+ I’m included in the plus. And I’m happy to be included! Indeed, folks pointedly using LGBT without the plus makes my hackles raise.

But. I am sick of being in the fucking plus sign like an afterthought.

And no, adding more to the alphabet soup doesn’t help that feeling. There’s a limit to what human brains can cram in. I don’t think it’s reasonable to make folks say an increasingly long acronym every time they mention the community. I appreciate the effort, but you’re always going to either leave someone out or cram them into the miscellaneous field the plus sign represents.

With Queer I’m just there, alongside my queer siblings. The details may be different, but I’m just as queer as a cis allo gay man or a trans allo straight woman or a genderfuck individual.

We already tried to meet folks who don’t like queer as a word halfway with MOGAI. Marginalized Orientations, Gender Alignment, and Intersex. It’s inclusive without using the Dreaded Q-Word. Surely, if the objection was to “queer” as a Terribly Traumatizing Word (just like, oh, every other word used for us: “gay” was the slur of choice where I was growing up), MOGAI would be the perfect solution, yes?

And yet, that was thrown back into our faces and turned into an insult. So, at that point, I said fuck it and fuck you. I’m queer, and if its inclusivity makes you mad, good.

Depression is such an effective tranquilizer that it creates a great opportunity for plot twists in your real life. I have a pretty consistent opinion of myself which is "low" and "never ending guilt and shame for reasons I don't understand."

Recently received feedback from two different editing clients that started with "Please pass along to Jacquelynn that she is phenomenal at her job" and "I was blown away by the evaluation I received."

You always hear about how depression (and anxiety) lies to you and distorts reality, but there is logically knowing that and then there is like, physical proof of it and you are suddenly Neo in the Matrix jumping out of the fucked up little tube machine.
