I'm rereading some Xaden moments, caused I missed there banter. And I can across this scene which I had sadly forgotten about.

And I made me think, Violet's always going on about how much he glares and hates her, but uh.

Violet (feeling his glare during battle brief): He thought that question was so stupid

Xaden: I wonder how her hair would feel in my hands

Violet (turning to meet his "glare"): He definitely still wants to kill me

Xaden (eyes dropping to her mouth): I wonder how those lips would feel wrapped... fucking focus.

There's so many moments I keep thinking of where he is seemingly angry or glaring at her and I'm cackling to think it was really him just thinking about how pretty she was with Sgaeyl in his ear snickering.

writing reader inserts is so funny because it's like. yeah you would NOT say that but now you do and you're gonna enjoy it. it's inevitably pouring a part of you into this fic. it's describing your dissociative daydreams in overly detail to everyone searching specifically for food to feed their dissociative daydreams. it's coming up with a hundred different scenarios on how to get railed by your favorite 2D man and yeah his dick is always big and he wants you so badly. it's playing barbie with Y/N who is like an universal OC at this point. it's going on silly little adventures in my mind and taking you all with me. reader inserts i love you so much.

something that totally went over my head the first time i read fourth wing was the fact that when violet's squad barged in last with the huge up-to-date map of wings/outposts that they stole from general sorrengail's office, they essentially planted the seed in the riders' heads that what they're learning in battle brief is heavily censored, and this is how you start a riot - which is why the professors RAN to take it and put it back/hide it, and why xaden bowed to her: aside from being extremely strategical about the choice of object and method of stealing it, she aided the rebellion without even knowing

Guys just imagine being a side character, you're walking around normally on a beautiful sunny day, you hear rumours from the other campers about this newbie kid that killed the minotaur barehanded, later on you hear about this very kid beating Clarisse, the biggo bully and now you're kinda intrigued.

Nonetheless next day you're playing capture the flag as normal and suddenly find yourself just kneeling before that kid that turned to be one of the big three kids then you proceed with your day.

Next morning, weirdo kid just straight up leads a quest, like the boy just got here and he's already making himself a reputation while some old ones are still not even claimed. Anyways the kid is accompanied by that tiny counselor of the Athena cabin (you know, that one kinda creepy child that stalks newbies around but you can't object because you don't want problems with the camp's best swordsman, yeah that's kid) and you're kinda shocked because those athenians are all about blah blah blah Athena did and blah blah blah we hate Poseidon.

Also that young satyr goes along, and you think oh weird then you continue with your day.

Fast forward a week later, they return, they are all friends now?? That fucking child just met Zeus?? He freaking whipped Ares' ass??? He got Hades' favor and got his mom back??? papa titan is back too??? Wait what LUKE IS EVIL NOW WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK???

And fast forward a year later, the Athena child just planted a kiss on the Poseidon kid's cheek and now you're invested in this reality show and you ship these kids together.
