If there's one thing shonen excels at its having the highest percentage of autistic characters of any genre every time without fail.

#its probably because in shonen youve got a lot of one off characters for fights #so they have to have a lot of gimmick charas to set them apart easily n still make them somewhat unique #what this does however is make them v one note which could lead to them coming off as autistic #but theres also the fact that a lot of charas get assigned nervous and obsessive traits #which just straight up makes them neurodivergent #autism #neurodivergency #manga #anime #shonen #shounen #tedpost #tedtalks

There's a guy in Gokushufudou who quit the yakuza and started a crêpe stand. And there's a guy in Sakamoto Days who quit being an assassin and started a crêpe stand.

There's only one conclusion to reach out of this... crêpes are a gateway to assimilate back into society.

wow. that one was. so depressing. and thats good i loved that.

from a cinematic/storytelling standpoint id have to say its one of the best ones so far. the 3rd one was also really good at doing setup and gradually building its story, but it still had sort of a lore dump at the end. here, i dont feel like that happened.

a lot of it was told in such a cinematic way, and the music really felt like it elevated the story.

id have to say that 3 would be my favourite, but i might say that this one is better from a story standpoint. maybe. its tough competition.

though im getting kinda scared about what all these ppl are saying about our mc. i hope it wont be a case of self fulfilling prophecy.

i mean. this one has been innocuous enough so far, apart from ppl mentioning these things, and the previous one didn't have any horror in it. but the first 2... thats whats making me scared for this one.

Ahhhhhg I'm so happy to be reading manga again. Now that they're all in one place and stored in sight it's so much easier to just pick stuff up again

I'm going through Sakamoto days 4 till 10, and I'm currently at 6.

I've also finally picked up Gokushufudou again. From vol3 till 6, then I'll have to cave in at some point and buy 7, because I already have 8 till 10. I'm at 4 rn and having a blast.

With Jeweler Richard I'm almost through my stock, vol4 of the book is where I'm at and it's the newest I have... so I'll have to keep an eye on those prices so I don't get stuck after finishing 4.

I'm also slowly going through Homunculus 7-8, I already finished 7 but I like to take my time since you have to wait so long between releases.

Other than that I'm mostly up to date with all the stuff thats currently being published, safe for a few volumes that just came out. (I should've just bought Mashle and Sakamoto when they were 10 bucks in pre-order... they're like 15 a piece rn... no way in hell am I spending that much on em...)
