Immediately as Soots shouted out he was gonna give it a shot, Abe’s heart jumped up to his throat as he frantically looked around and watched every pair of eyes to focus on him simultaneously. He had hoped to just do this quietly with the others, but when would that ever happen? Abe thought he would get used to this kind of attention, but each time it was apparent that wasn’t the case.  His eyes then drifted towards the carpet of hot coals as it was getting raked in preparation of Abe’s walk.  “Okay... Eh.. So, how do I do this?”

In awe, Abe watched Soots' performance. Despite everything Abe's been through, just walking over hot coals wasn't something he felt brave enough to do. When he finished, a roar of applause followed. Abe clapped along and immediately approached Soots. "Wow, you were great! But, eh... How did you do that without burning your feet?"

Soots blushed from the messiah's praise.

"Oh! Thank you. I donno. The others told me its more of a mind over matter thing. It defiantly LOOKS harder than it is."

He then laughed and pointed to Abe, "Maybe you should give it a try! After all, you've faced worse things."

“It’s different when you’re on the right side of the fire.” He said with a shrug. Hearing Soots talk about how invigorating it was did slowly make him reconsider. But before he could dwell on the thought for too long, he was asked a question. Abe immediately shook his head.  “Oh... No, it was- Well? Afterwards I felt pretty good about it, but the process itself was very... Well? Painful...” Looking over his shoulder at the coals once more, it did dawn on him that this couldn’t possibly be more dangerous or painful as everything else he had done. With a determined look he smiled back at Soots. “Maybe I do wanna try this.”

In awe, Abe watched Soots' performance. Despite everything Abe's been through, just walking over hot coals wasn't something he felt brave enough to do. When he finished, a roar of applause followed. Abe clapped along and immediately approached Soots. "Wow, you were great! But, eh... How did you do that without burning your feet?"

When asked to try it for himself, Abe held up his hands and instinctively took a step back. Only to be met with a hot sting from stepping on a cinder.  “Ow! Eh... Yeah, I guess, but- I don’t go looking for danger, usually.” Watching others do it did make it look not as hard as Soots’ routine was, but he still wasn’t exactly filled with confidence.

“In charge? Me? Oh... No, no, I’m... Not sure what I am around here to be honest with ya.” Abe tried to think of the person who actually was in charge, but there really wasn’t a single someone he could just give the name of.  “The muds around here kinda help each other out. The natives have this kind of council thing, but they don’t really tell us what to do either. Why you ask? You guys need anything?”

"Woah. Are.. Are those real??"

Lotus elbowed her twin, hushing him "Luka! T-that's rude! Y-you can't just.." she paused looking over at Abe's stitches, taking in the fact that they were VERY real "Y-you can't j-just ask t-that immediately w-without being introduced!" she continued, now turning to Abe, trying not to look at his stitches "H-hey there, s-sorry about my brother. A-are you A-Abe?"

Abe couldn't help but be a bit flustered by the sudden approach by these colorful strangers as he softly brushed the stitches in his lips. He did notice the stutter right away and wondered if she was cold or nervous. Abe thought he'd never get used to random strangers knowing his name, but they seemed friendly enough."Eh, yeah, I am. Who are you guys?"

Realizing it was indeed a normal stutter, Abe thought nothing further from it. He’d just need to listen more carefully to what she’s saying. With a friendly smile he held his hand up, but before he could say anything to welcome them, Luka asked another question.  This was getting awkward. Abe had his stitches since he was an infant, so it’s not like he knows any better. Yet, he answered. “With small bites? It’s not something I really think about...”

"Woah. Are.. Are those real??"

In the late afternoon, the weather's been hot, so the zordokon might as well head over to the lake within the woods. After she left her hut in her usual two piece swimsuit, she then sees Abe from the distance taking a stroll around the village. It's been a while since they've last spoke, so why not say hi?

Sei then approaches over to Abe. "Abe? Hey, it's been a while!" The zordokon smiles. "Whatcha been up to?"

Deep in thought, Abe was caught off-guard by her, but it was nice running into Sei after so long. "Hey! Sure has. Not much. At least, not as much as I'd want to..." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Abe then noticed her outfit and realized he's walked all the way out there. "You goin' for a swim?"
