Dropping this little thing for all my old Henry Stickmin blogs.

None of them are cancelled, before anyone panics, but it has been a long while since i updated them. And no, this isn't me saying i'm returning to them. I still don't know when i will.

It has, however, been long enough now that i forgot some of the plans I had so it'd require some rebuilding for some of them. My interests are just elsewhere. Haven't entirely left the fandom, but it did have some bad memories for me. I won't bring them up though.

Anyways, while i have left these blogs for a while, I am active on tumblr again. If anyone is still around on these, and still wants to see my work, my art blog is @brightsstar. That blog was also my old "ask-charles-calvin" blog. I post art as well as updates to my current projects pretty frequently. Not Henry Stickmin related though. Even if you don't want to follow, and just stop by, thank you. And i apologize to the people who may've been waiting for more stuff on those blogs. Thank you so much for your patience, but i honestly don't know when i'll go back to continue them, or if i decide to change things. Bye now!

I do need more recent questions to properly continue the blog. Remember it is Ask Driven! I need some things that i can use to make more with it. I love this au, and i really don't want it sitting here collecting dust..

I know i have been on a hiatus of sorts, and it shows on all my blogs, but that is because i have low motivation. I still draw them a lot, but blog wise i am having trouble because it is hard to incorporate what i have in my inbox right now into the story now without them being out of the blue.

Better news wise, Reginald got another redesign, that i personally like better than his last redesign. He got a color rework too.

Yes his new tail is night fury inspired, but with a twist: The claws facing backward on the tail bones allow him to use his tail as a weapon. He can fold the tail fin in, leaving the claws facing outward. It's something like what stegosaurus did. The claws face backward so they not only puncture, but also slice. They're small so they don't break off when used, but the strength his tail has is enough also to break bone. The spikes on the sides prevent the tail bones from breaking when he swings it. The spikes on the top help with air maneuverability. The tail fin itself helps balance him out. His tail is a last resort kind of weapon though. He doesn't want to use it unless he absolutely has to.

So here is at least something i can show to also show i have not abandoned this.

Not entirely, but people haven't been sending new questions that i can easily use. The blog is ask driven, and i can't really continue it when i don't have things i can use. Everything in the inbox right now is old stuff, nothing relating to the events in the last comic part i posted.

People can ask me questions about this, but i figured I'd update some character origins, including those of unrevealed characters, who I will not name until they actually appear in the story. Gradually I am working my way back into this, so here we go.

Stickvin wins. This means that one character has been changed, and should appear in the Character Origins post in just a minute. There will also be one more poll soon to either keep, or remove a character.

After much thought, i am split between which of these ships to use, so I made a poll for all of you to decide. This poll will also decide whether one of the characters gets changed or not!

It changes the story slightly, but nothing too extreme since it hasn't reached that point yet.

What a series of certain events that need to happen for a hybrids DNA to be activate.

Usually they have to be heavily provoked, or cornered. Either extremely angry, or extremely scared, that is what does it.

I want to explain some things regarding the characters who show as half impostors in the character post I made, which by the way the names will be revealed when the bios get collected, and regarding the three half impostors together, i will reveal some very important things for them when the time comes, but here is some about it, and hey, if anyone wants to ask Reginald or Ellie, please do. My inbox is nearly empty, but i also have very little wiggle room with what's there, so i need some more questions.. Some potentially sensitive topics are brought up so check tags for theme warnings!

Anyways.. impostors are able to crossbreed with humans, it's an evolutionary adaptation they have developed over time to be able to breed with other species. Doesn't just apply to earth. They can normally be regarded as a parasite species, pretending to be human for the first couple years of their life. They even look exactly like humans when they are born, their instincts, and traits don't become noticeable until about 5 years later, and they already know how to hide them.

True impostors are hatched from eggs, while hybrids are liveborn. Hybrids are a bit of a strange bunch though. They have a 50/50 shot of being either crewmate/human, or impostor. Normally that is personality, and behavior based, but can also be based on which parent species they were raised by. The more docile hybrids are more likely to stay human (while carrying impostor dna, of course) while the bolder, more aggressive ones are more likely to become impostors (still with the dna of the opposite species) and while they are not as strong as true impostors, they are still just as dangerous.

Henry is an example of the crewmate/human variant. He doesn't even know he's half impostor. His father was a true impostor (yes, one that came before Reginald), his mother was human. His father left him, and his mother couldn't care for him so she had to send him to an orphanage because she didn't have enough money to support them both, but she still loves him dearly, unlike his father who just bailed. Reginald also knows Henry is half impostor, and he knows who his father was, and he hates him. (His father, not Henry) Henry is also a royal, like Reginald is, just significantly younger, and inexperienced.

Crewmate variants should not be underestimated, however. Their impostor dna is only dormant, not gone. Like a volcano, a series of certain events can make it activate, and that gets very dangerous, very quickly. They usually can revert once they calm down again. In rare cases, they can't.

Crewmate variants can also fly under the radar more easily, and dna tests cannot pick up the dormant impostor dna, no matter how advanced they get. It isn't a disguise like with true impostors, or impostor variants. Crewmate variants are genetically human as far as dna tests go. It takes very close observation, and lots of experience to find out they aren't human.

Other Updates

In other news, Reginald got another redesign. His original design was not mine initially, the person i had been working with made his original design, and since she is no longer helping me on the project, i had to change it. The design i posted a bit ago, i had updated his wings. The tail was still from his original design, and now that has changed. His new tail functions a lot better too.

I took inspiration from Toothless' tail in httyd, but i put my own little twist on it to also keep its' original function. His original tail was used as a weapon, so to keep that function, i took further inspiration from stegosaurus' tail. Each finger on the tail has backward facing claws in order to inflict critical damage to the target. The tail also has spines along the sides above, and under the tail fins to protect them from being broken in combat, amd also add a little weight to the tail for more damage. The tail fins fold in, leaving the claws facing outward. So when he swings his tail, not only does he inflict deep scratching, but the hooked claws cause heavy bleeding by cutting cleanly, and easily through blood vessels, which can, and often does lead to the target bleeding out, especially if they get hit multiple times with it.

I apologize for these topic mentions, but this should've been addressed for the future of the blog. There is going to be blood, and yes, some children will be born, but of course i will not show the child births, and there will be theme warnings in the tags for those particular things. Nothing explicit will ever be shown, i promise. The only things that will be shown is blood when someone gets hurt, and there will always be a theme warning for those.

Seriously, can certain adults stay away from my blogs please, this is getting ridiculous, and overall suspicious. Had to block two seemingly sexually active ones from my blogs just today. Never have i had to block so many people before, and i want to protect my followers from them, as i am sure many are minors, and i do not tolerate this kind of shit if there are potential predators.
