Functional Sketchbook Mod

I thought only being able to level painting skill via canvas or digital sketchpad was a little silly and doesn’t really fit reality. As such, I decided to make a functional sketchbook for your artistic sims to use when they can’t get their hands on an easel. I believe it requires Parenthood to function properly.

#unfortunately there seems to be no way to modify the verb conjugation if it comes after a they #even EA seems to have not implemented that #so until they fix it all of our nb sims will be referred to with a heavy new york accent

Tired of spending 800+ simoleons on a computer?

Sims 4 is a very sanitized game-- most objects are intended for use among upper middle class sims. Since computers are necessary for the functionality of mods like MC Command center, and my personal favorite cheat happens to be money 0, I have made a (much worse) unlocked version of the laptop you get for maxing the freelance writing career. It is cheap, at the cost of lowered durability and slower fun gain.

It is also ugly-- no hand-me down laptop is complete without unsightly scratches.

I have been having this issue in my game for some time where when grounding a child from the phone will cause the parent to reprimand them for so much as breathing. I had been looking for some sort of fix for it for some time now, but to no avail. EA said they fixed it some time ago, but all that got fixed was “stealthily” appearing on the things that were causing the reprimanding, not the reprimanding itself.

I cannot stress enough that I stumbled into fixing this by accident, but I have fixed the issue. Somehow.

Sims 4 Grounding Issue

EA said they fixed it some time ago, but all that got fixed was “stealthily” appearing on the things that were causing the reprimanding, not the reprimanding itself.

Okay so does anyone know a fix for this phone grounding bug from parenthood? Because i may have fixed it by accident. Somehow.

Small update Jan 5, 2021 just to fix a string that has been bothering me. Sketchbook is still completely functional in game as-is.

In the future, I want to ensure this is completely base-game compatible, but for now, I’m working on something else.

Updated Dec. 6 2020 to add four new swatches/sketches, as well as to remove some irritating animations. Sketchbook no longer functions to increase emotional control and parents cannot encourage drawing in sketchbook.

English strings copied to all tables.
