4. Do you… well… I mean… I could give you a massage?

Akaashi rolled his shoulders from probably the ninth time since they’ve been sitting at their tiny kitchen table doing homework. Kenma never asked about it just figured that Akaashi was getting comfortable but that last time Kenma saw a flash of pain in his eyes.

So, he decided to say something.

“Are you okay?” Kenma asked into the silence of the room.

Akaashi blinked and looked at him, “I’m fine.”

“You looked like you were in pain for a moment.” Kenma prodded, staring intently at Akaashi.

Akaashi, never one to lie, just sighed, “My shoulders hurt a bit. Bokuto-san made me come to the gym with him after class to toss to him because he doesn’t like the way Oikawa-san tosses to him.”

Kenma chuckled softly. That sounded like a Bokuto thing to do. “Did he make you go for long?”

“I tossed for maybe two hours.”

Kenma nodded and watched as Akaashi went back to his work, grimacing when he shifted his shoulder.

Kenma bit his lip, “Do you….” Akaashi met his gaze again and he briefly looked away. “Well… um… I could give you a massage? If you want?” 

Akaashi raised an eyebrow but shut his book, “That would be nice. Only if you don’t mind.”

Kenma shook his head. He didn’t mind at all, which was why he had offered. In all honesty he just wanted a reason to touch Akaashi. They didn’t really have times to themselves; today was the only day where they really had alone time, one of them always working late or having too much homework to fool around or just enjoy the other’s company.

They left their books on the table and walked to the bedroom, Akaashi stripping out of his shirt and laying on his stomach with his head on the pillows. Kenma straddled his hips, sitting on his lower back while carefully massaging his shoulders.

Kenma could feel the tension in his muscles. He figured Akaashi was only telling the half truth about tossing to Bokuto; he had taken up more shifts at his job which caused him to stay up later to complete his homework.

Kenma massaged out all the kinks from his shoulders and when he was going to ask how it was he found that Akaashi was sleeping soundly. He smiled to himself and kissed Akaashi’s cheek, quietly backing out of the room to return to his homework. He figured Akaashi at least deserved a nap before delving into more homework.
