#if you count choir songs than um yeah i can sing so many songs in so many languages #hell i can sing Mozart's Ave Verum from memory #in terms of non choir songs tho i can still roughly choke out the French national anthem #and there is always a LOT of fumbling for the foreign words in various other songs #some of Area 11's songs have Japanese in them does that count #about me #music

hey did I ever post the best business card I’ve ever been given by a customer?

a woman wanted me to let her know if I had a particular item in storage, and she went to get a card out of her purse and went ‘oh no. I’m out of my work cards, I’m so sorry about this’ and handed me this:

apparently her husband made them for her as a joke but then she just had like 300 of them so they’re her backups when she runs out of her real business cards.

tbh I’ve always found it very funny that Elrond is like “there’s no point bringing Glorfindel on the quest, even though he’s a balrog-slayer. You won’t need balrog-slayers” and then thirty pages later they run into a balrog

#nowadays in my life i only really get to see the ocean once a year #i miss it terribly #standing and beholding it is always breathtaking #especially since I'm now so used to living by a big lake #beautiful views but i can SEE the opposite shore #with the ocean it just GOES #as a bonus swimming in it is phenomenal #no wave pool anywhere EVER could replicate the unique feeling of it all #the water is continuously shifting around you pulling you back and forth #if you're closer to shore you can have fun and splash around #and further out you can kinda float and bob along each wave #gods summer can't come fast enough #about me

Yeah, a lot of what bothers me about fantasy settings (especially D&D) is that people try to run wizards like they're academics, but their only exposure to academics is authoritative professors telling them The Truth, so they don't realize that all academics are always 5 seconds away from trying to strangle each other over questions like 'does time really pass or does it just seem to pass'
