As this semester is coming to an end, I’ve learned a lot about myself and what I want for my future. Although learning this corona season was not what we are all used to, I think everyone did an amazing job adjusting and that’s something to be proud of! Shoutout to everyone that helped me out this semester! I love and appreciate every single one of y’all! I’m praying for everyone to continue to work hard and finish stronger than ever 🙏🏾💛💙

Mental health. It’s very important! I don’t understand why people feel the need to act like it’s not a serious topic. I also feel like people think if you talk about your struggles with mental health you’re “weird” or “not cool”. I can’t stress ENOUGH that talking and checking on your friends, family, or anyone important to you is the MOST IMPORTANT THING you can do for those people. I have chronic stress which messes with me a lot. Some reoccurring symptoms I have are trouble breathing, bipolar depression, and anxiety. With nursing school and trying to balance my whole life it’s been giving me a lot of stress which makes these problems occur more frequently. I talk to the people closes to me about this stuff because when they do happen they know the underlying problem and can try and help or just be there for me any way they can. For the people reading this I HOPE that you value your mental health just as much as you value anything else. Take care of yourself and make sure the people in your corner are thriving and surviving with you! Mental health is one of my favorite topics to talk about so if anyone wants to have a discussion pleaseeeee let me know!! 😌💕

Test....THE TEST ARE COMING Y’ALL! I don’t really know how to feel because this is not my ideal way of learning. I retain information better when I’m forced to be somewhere and have to physically make an effort to go. I loved school and learning when I was in person and in class but ZOOM UNIVERSITY???? No thank youuuu. It’s so hard for me to focus and learn everything they’re throwing at us. If anyone has some tips on how to make this less of a hassle PLEASEEEEE share in the comment what you do and how you study!! That would be appreciated. I’m trying to stay as positive as possible because it’s a blessing to even be in school right now.

MEET MY ROOMMATES 😝@madisonfuturern22 @allyreidd

These are my roomies! I lived with Maddie last year and Ally is our new roommate this year. We are all junior nursing majors which is a HUGE ADVANTAGE because we all have the same classes and do all of our school work together. Our meet up spot in the house is always the living room couch (pictured above) and we basically have “unassigned assigned seats” without saying anything. HA. If you were to come into our house you would see us watching either: Grey’s Anatomy, JONAS, or Suite Life on Deck (they have been on heavy rotation in the house lately) but once in a while we’ll throw on some movies. I’m so glad I live with them because they keep me young. Having friends like these two ladies always makes life an adventure. They both have helped me a lot already during this whole nursing experience (which has only been 1 week and some days so far). I’m so excited to see how this semester plays out...who knows what will happen in this house with 3 nursing majors just trying to survive nursing school.

HELLO HELLO!

Today I had my first OFFICIAL day in peds clinical and it was so fun! Before I got into nursing school I always loved kids so I knew I would enjoy myself in peds. I truly did learn a lot in only 1 DAY which is kind of crazy to me but also amazing. I love all the nurses that work with us in the hospital because they truly want to help us learn and grow as future nurses! The only downside about it all is that we have to go in EVERY OTHER WEEK because of Covid... I’ll GLADLY get into how I feel about Covid in a different post.

This is the energy I NEED!!! Staying positive and giving out positive energy DEFINITELY helps with the nursing journey. Girl! Thank you for the information on the scholarship. It’s so hard trying to find aid for school so anything helps honestly.
