it cant just be me where the episode "ruby cubed" doesn't sit right with me, like. the whole episode is off-putting (espesh with the age gaps n stuff) and i hate rewatching it. it can't just be me. am i tweaking?? IM NOT TWEAKING. AM I????

YES UR SO RIGHT lize and i actually skipped that ep on all of our rewatches except the most recent one LOL. it's just... it's weird. and awkward to watch! and just when u think it can't get worse, the twins try to get in on it?? but they're speculated to be the oldest at 15 years old, while iris and misery are like 10 and 8, respectively. what the HELL were they thinking 😭

tbqh, i never like it when cartoons w such a young cast try to do a crush-based episode. i know that it technically happens irl -- hell, when i was a kindergartner, i remember thinking i had a crush on Several different boys LMAOO -- but i feel like it is never comfortably executed. i'd also like to add i only thought i had crushes that young bc i was imitating the romance i'd seen in media (movies, books, etc). u could probably make a larger post/in-depth observation abt that phenomenon but uhh i'm starting to get sidetracked so i must digress here HAHA

Len | Twilight Town (Ruby Gloom AU)

The guitarist half of the Frankenstein twins band Rock In Peace is Len. He doesn’t have much of a brain compared to his brother (barely) but he is still as genuinely kind as him being able to understand a room’s emotions well.

I adore the twins in Ruby Gloom they were my favorite characters. When I worked on them in the Au, they would have been still been conjoined but my friend said it would be EVEN more of a struggle for them as conjoined adults. So the original plan is they could temporarily split up via magic but them my friend came up with the idea they were Frankensteins (probably a good thing Frank literally is named Frank). And we’re sewn in infancy then got surgery to get separated when they’re 18. Hence why they’re covered in scars and mismatched body colors.
