Somehow, I think out of the three, Shal is the most likely one to do that. He already has no regard for people (maybe even less than Feitan), so even if he claims to be “in love” there are little morals that might serve to hold him back. His “reasonings” may vary, but Shalnark may not even give his victim time to “adapt” like some of the others.

It’s not in Feitan’s nature to be exactly playful, so don’t try sneaking upon him to catch him off guard and make him react, especially because, truth to be told, you won’t be able to. He may allow you to, but you’ll see he knew you were coming. Really, he treats it as if you’re just hugging him. His senses are always alert, even if you two are alone. That doesn’t mean he is completely devoid of humor, it’s just that’s not everything that appeals to his humorous side.

As for reaction… Nothing. Nope. Nada. It doesn’t even make him blink, all he does is comment that your hands are cold and holds them close.

Sneaking upon him may work if you two are alone, but don’t do it if he is playing a game or seeing some new device he bought/stole.

Cue Shalnark pulling you close (feels more like he’s trying to crush you), rubbing his hands over your back or arms, in a way that keeps your hands against him anyway before doing the same to them if he feels they’re not warming up. At this time, Shalnark will rub your hands while keeping them against his chest, all while with that never-fading smile of his and maybe teasing you a little about it. He doesn’t care if the Troupe is seeing this or not.

What is the trio is attracted to physically and mentally



Hisoka

Independence. As much as Hisoka can be possessive, he wouldn’t stand someone who is too clingy. Pay attention that this doesn’t mean the person should have absolutely no insecurities whatsoever (I doubt this is even possible for anyone), but it’s one thing to be quiet or shy or a “broken bird”, another completely is revolving all of your life around him and the relationship. Hisoka enjoys attention, yes, but this is not the same. Not only it’s unhealthy, it feels suffocating.

Wits. It doesn’t matter in what sense, a sharp mind, tongue, insight to evaluate people, an “out of the box” way of thinking (or not following the usual) just something. He dislikes what he considers “boring”.

And, let’s talk about the trait we can’t ignore: Strength. Yes, Hisoka first judges people based on this impression as he normally sees them as “toys” or “prey”, so it’s inevitable that we address it.

However, there are several aspects to it, not limited to the physical sense: Hisoka also notices if the person, while weak when he meets them, has potential to grow. Or how they use their Nen (he has mentioned how interesting Machi’s technique was, for example), at times just something aesthetically unique can be fascinating enough even if the person wouldn’t be able to last long in a fight against him (even if he would enjoy a partner he can train with on at least almost equal footing). And there is also behavior (Determination, for example, is a form of strength).

As for looks… Considering how much of a pervert Hisoka is, I think he doesn’t pay that much attention to such things. Guy will lay down with anyone who is willing when he is in the mood, for starters anyway.

Though I think he has some preference for shorter people.

Illumi

Tricky one. Really, does he even have a type? Well, considering Illumi is controlling, he would rather have someone who allowed him to be in charge. So, a mix would be his ideal: His S/O could (and even should) be defiant with anyone else, but not him (I’m just saying what he would actively want). It would help if they shared some of his views… (If not, he would certainly try to manipulate them into it).

That said, he would also prefer someone who could bring something to the Zoldyck lineage, be brains or power. And depending of the situation, even a behavior that breaks what he sees as “expected pattern” of people has some chance of at least standing out.

Said person would also need to be serious and focused like him, at least when it’s time to work or do something important. Illumi wouldn’t have the patience to deal with someone who is goofing around 24/7.

Family also matters. While the person would have to value it like he does, it would be better if they happened to not have one (be due to death or cutting ties), as it means the Zoldyck would be their only true family. Illumi would want his S/O’s heart in this aspect to be completely turned to the Zoldyck and himself (him above the others, of course).

As for looks… Illumi pays little to no attention to such details. Literally… But I think that perhaps someone different from the usual Zoldyck traits (black/white hair with dark/blue eyes) might have more chances of calling his attention…

Chrollo

Intelligence. No question about it. I don’t mean “oh, you need to be a genius”, no. Intelligence isn’t about school, grades and stuff. It is about being able to understand things, of having a way of thinking that is not limited to the superficial/obvious. Chrollo would want to be able to talk and analyze subjects, so he wouldn’t stand someone who is narrow-minded. If the person also enjoys reading like him or share some other taste, bonus points. With this in mind, it follows that Chrollo would want someone sensible.

That said, they would need to be comprehensible as well, for if they are not from Meteor City, Chrollo would want to feel he can tell who he is and what he does without being judged right away, plus, depending of where the relationship goes, he would want to introduce his S/O to the rest of the Troupe at some point (and try to convince them to come along).

I don’t need to say he isn’t the kind to first pay attention to appearances, but physically speaking, exotic traits (a rare shade of eyes/hair, for example) would surely catch his attention. I’m not saying you need it or that you have to be a model or a work of art, of course. There is also the matter of the beauty that comes with the behavior and style. He would take notice of someone who has their own style and can look unique on it.

How they nap sleep with there s/o

Hisoka

Hisoka doesn’t mind taking naps (though they are not part of his routine) and if it’s with his S/O, it will be in cuddling position, with him resting his face a little above yours. And same goes for sleeping; he wants to feel his S/O close to him. Even if you don’t want it, you’ll wake up with him holding you (he’ll swear it must have happened while he was asleep, but you’ll never know the truth).

If he wakes up before his S/O, he will remain still just to enjoy it. And it’s actually quite comfortable, not just because he is warm, but as in moments of intimacy like this, Hisoka can be gentle, as despite his usual nature (read as perverted) even he can enjoy more innocent displays of affection, such as kissing his S/O neck, whispering in the ear, soft caresses, etc.

He sleeps either naked or in boxers.

Illumi

He isn’t the type that takes naps, but he won’t mind his S/O doing so next to him, quite the contrary as Illumi takes it as a signal of trust lowering your defenses this much near him. Believe that he will be caressing your hair, finding your sleeping face adorable.

Sleeping together would start with just a kiss, him saying “good night” and closing his eyes, either in his back or turned to the side… Yet, you will always wake up with his arm protectively around your waist. Otherwise, when you both lay down to sleep and you hug him, Illumi will respond at once, his thumb making slow circles in your skin. The initiative for this sort of physical contact will come from him more frequently after a while.

Illumi will have times when he may stay awake for a little longer just to enjoy this proximity, something he is not used to but that sure feels nice. When he sleeps on his back, he enjoys having you sleeping on his chest. If he is laying on his side, then he is hugging you against his chest.

Chrollo

Naps don’t happen often with this man, unless the spiders are laying low for the moment and he isn’t planning their next move (or is exceptionally tired), but he is not averse to them.

Before sleeping, Chrollo enjoys reading, so his S/O may fall asleep before him. In those occasions, he will be caressing your hair and observing you a little, feeling protective.

Otherwise, he is the type that enjoys whispered conversations with you two laying in bed, facing each other with occasional gestures of affection (he values those moments of intimacy and peace between the two of you very much). As Chrollo sleeps very quietly, unless one of you moves during your sleep, you both often wake up holding each other.

And when it’s cold, he definitely enjoys cuddling.

Oh, boy, it would depend… If he is in a relationship with you, but decides it’s not “for life”, then sadly, you’re on your own. He is the type that literally won’t care about what you decide to do about it and won’t hesitate in just leaving if you decide to have the baby (jerk).

However, I don’t see Hisoka having unprotected sex with anyone (he just won’t take this risk) unless he truly, truly loves them, so… It’s a different matter.

His reaction would be just stopping for a moment and asking you to repeat that, needing a moment to gather his thoughts because he sincerely didn’t expect this to happen even if you both are not using protection.

Hisoka won’t be sure of how to feel at first, the idea of being a father is completely weird, even alien, for him (just like he admits he has issues, he also admits he isn’t “daddy material”) but will stay at your side nevertheless. At least you can have fun taking him to buy stuff for the baby and asking for his opinion, since this clown has no clue whatsoever. What’s the difference between this crib and that other, anyway? He doesn’t get it (just be sure to stop when he is past confused and starting to get bored or annoyed).

Slowly, Hisoka will get used to the idea of being a father, though he will feel somewhat nervous (he has no idea of how to do it), even if he won’t show/admit it for the life of him. Nah, he is cool with having a baby. Totally. Seriously.

A better acceptance will come eventually, especially when your belly starts to show, you do a ultrasound or he feels the baby moving… It’s like a wake-up call, this is really happening.

It’s from “unsure” to “hell, yeah”. Hisoka would be already proud of this child, convinced he/she will be very strong and anxious for the birth. It’s surprising how different he would act then from the first months. The same confidence he shows in the battlefield (and everywhere else) would show now (and he is secretly reading books on the subject).

Even so, it would take some reassurance from you for him to hold the baby once he/she is born… It’s just… It seems so small and fragile and Hisoka is honestly afraid of hurting it.

Illumi

Same as Hisoka, I don’t see Illumi as someone who would have unprotected sex unless he is sure he wants to be with that person for the rest of his life (heck, you two might be already married and if not, he will certainly convince you to marry him on the spot).

Once you break the news to him, he may react calmly, as if it’s nothing new, but this is just externally. Inside he is somehow surprised… Not that he didn’t expect this, he knows it could/would happen, but still… Is this really happening? Then, suddenly, you get a hug. Family has a great value for him, so he would actually be very happy.

He would make sure that everything is taken care of, getting you the better doctor money could afford and being there for you. Even if he keeps that straight face of always, you can pick the subtle signs of how he is actually feeling (the way he gently touches your belly, even if it’s too early to feel any movement, for example) and how he truly cares for this baby. However, Illumi would also be overprotective (more than he already is). You would be staying in the Zoldyck house, one of the butlers would be there to do whatever you want… Sounds nice, and sure you’re being pampered, but it would get annoying since Illumi can take those things to extreme and when your belly started to show, it would only get worse, to the point you have to calmly explain to him that he needs to relax a little, for Heaven’s sake! You’re pregnant, not made of glass.

There would be many plans for the child and while some are normal (room, toys, list of names, etc), others are… Not that. You can’t forget that, due to his upbringing, Illumi’s views can be quite twisted (no, Illumi, you can’t start the training when the baby is just one month old. And no, you can’t mix poison in the milk just to build resistance! What do you mean, when can you start doing that?). If you want to talk about it (and for the sake of the baby, you will), you have to tread carefully.

Chrollo.

Honestly, he would be the most normal of the trio regarding this matter.

As soon as you told him you’re pregnant, Chrollo would just look at your for a moment and engulf you in a hug whispering how much he loves you (with his lifestyle, he is another one who wouldn’t take the risk of getting someone pregnant unless he was willing to spend his life with them). Whatever worry he might have about the pregnancy will come later, he just wants to enjoy this moment.

First off, he wouldn’t want you traveling with the troupe or doing works with them (if you’re part of the spiders) during this time. It doesn’t matter if you’re just tagging along and will stay in their hideouts or that he or someone else can stay with you. Just no. It’s a risk Chrollo is not taking, so you’re both either staying in a very nice hotel, moving at times just in case, or back to Meteor City (though the first is more likely). Chrollo wouldn’t take part in any mission of the troupe either, as he would want to stay with you all the time and not to miss a single little thing. This includes your weird cravings at the middle of the night, he is completely okay with going out to get whatever you want (even if he may find some of them really strange).

He would be reading a lot of books about pregnancy and how to raise a child, discussing them with you and making plans for the future. You can see he is proud and can’t wait to hold his child in his arms. While he would act calm and collected in front of the troupe, when you are alone Chrollo would be extra affectionate, often wanting to touch your belly and whispering to his child how daddy is there.

I don’t think he would actually steal a puppy, but rather surprise them by taking them to an adoption fair, telling his S/O to pick whichever dog they wanted, as he would want to make sure his S/O would like it.
