writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.

#i am really afraid the fic im lauong out will be horrible #but. i dont wamt to stop. so this was nice encouragement #putting together a rather detailed outline. fleshing out the plot and tone of each scene in a notebook. #did some math today. realized that i have written approximately 7500 words out by hand in this layout. #and i still have a few more scenes to lay out #help. #there isnt even dialogue. #but again i fear it will be terrible. so this post was nicely uplifting #you're right. i am crafting something new. #this is useful for my other works too. you're right my paintings and drawings and crochet projects are being crafted from nothing. #and that's meaningful

#the gregorian chant revival was really odd. dunno why people suddenly got into plainsong in the early 90s. #in classical music there were a lot of works between the 40s and 80s with plainsong or renaissance influences #it was a really odd fluke. i dont think ive ever heard anyone talk about Why that happened but it sure did

i know that "unalive" is part of larger worrying trend of self censorship but if you really are in a situtation where you have to avoid the words "die" or "kill" the english language already has centuries worth of much better euphemisms. the iconic and perennial "six feet under"? the lovely imagery of "pushing up daisies"? "shuffle off this mortal coil"????? literally anything from the monty python dead parrot bit???? you have so many options. please try to be more creative at least
