The thing about the Cursed Caldera is that it's *really obvious* the monsters don't belong there.

The place is desolate. I saw a giant skeleton of something that looked like an herbivore, but very few plants it might have eaten. Same thing with the hunters and scavengers. 

For one thing, this definitely shouldn't be bothering about tiny humans. Also, the Caldera is cold and dry. Leeches, like other worms, breathe through their skin. They need to stay moist. For something this size, that fog isn't going to cut it. 

Every single monster has issues like this. The wild is complicated, and the Cursed Caldera isn't even trying to make sense.

If you tell the villagers about this, they just say the monsters are probably magic. They don't call it the Regular Biome Caldera. But even magic creatures have a life cycle, a food chain, a habitat.

If you tell Lord Viren this, he goes hunting. He came back empty-handed. Said nothing he found was magic at all.

In hindsight...yeah. Real answer’s even weirder. I could offer to help @ask-lujanne-anything​ design an ecosystem, but why would she need that? She just needs scary, not realistic.

There’s more to our side of the border than a cursed mountain!

We’ve got @ask-step-prince-callum, @chained-to-positivity who I’m pretty sure is an ask blog on top of occasionally saving the world, and now me. I’m just starting it out though.

slight meta question but how many of this ask blank anything blogs in this tdp vain are there? ive only found 4 this one the nyx,ethire and rayla ones are there any others im missing out on?

Just because @ask-lujanne lives on the far side of the border doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about her! Our quirky grandma-ish Moon Mage is a delight, and she’ll answer any questions you have for her.

What I learned from this: you always take these people seriously and if they say something completely insane you assume it’s true until proven otherwise.

What they learned from this: you can start describing the time you rode a deaf hippopotamus made of taffy, and Corvus will totally fall for it.

There’s no winning with these people.

When you’re with these two, you kind of just roll with it.

Laughing Moonshadow Elf tells you King Ezran can talk to animals now? Guess that means he’s riding a large carnivore to who knows where.

Prince Callum is doing sky magic? Sure, why not, sounds possible.

The only valid answer is “okay, are you pretty sure this particular weird thing isn’t going to get you killed?” They always say yes, of course. The trick is to stop them if they do their I Am Definitely Not Lying, No You Can Trust Me face.

Corvus: Why are you two always out during rainstorms?

Ezran: It’s so peaceful and refreshing. I love the smell of fresh rainfall.

Unfortunately, I’m too busy helping run Katolis at the moment. I do hear @ask-runaan-anything​ and @ask-ethari-anything​ are adopting though. I have met one of their daughters, Rayla, and they seem to be doing a good job. Despite the first impression.

Thanks, but it’s really not my skill set. Running a kingdom would be more Opeli’s line of work if we needed a Regent, but I’m glad to say King Ezran can handle it himself.

While with King Ezran in Katolis, I visited the spacious palace library. In a dusty, old book titled Pinte Rest, I discovered this portrait of King Harrow (he is much missed by his people!). I’m hoping that some day my hair will look this awesome.
