Mizzy seemed shocked that she was still alive. Aya couldn't think about whether he would have preferred her to be dead when they were interrupted by a stranger.
She also realized that it wouldn't be wise to call an ambulance with all the money and suspected drugs in Mizzy's jacket. Although it would probably have been better if someone had checked them for serious injuries.
"Are you all right?" Shoving a hand to the back of her neck again, she rolled it slightly. Mizzy seemed to be doing better than she was, though she wanted to check with him directly to make sure that was the case. Although there was a risk that he would lie to her about that too.
Tumblr media
Aya felt somehow cheated and taken advantage of.
"Let's go back to the car. I think... I think it's still running. We're going to my place, yeah?" They wouldn't get far on foot anyway.
Her head was first jerked forward and then thrown backwards against the headrest. Because she had kept her hands on the steering wheel, nothing worse happened. After all, neither of them had been wearing seatbelts.
Nevertheless, Aya lost consciousness for a few seconds, a moment in which her brain had stopped working.
Blinking slowly, she finally opened her eyes again, looking through a cracked windshield. Not destroyed, but cracked by the impact. Everything around her sounded muffled, as if coming from far away.
Reaching her hand into the back of her neck, she hissed in pain. What a fucking night.
Only then did she look beside her, but couldn’t see Mizzy anywhere. Instead, the passenger door was open. She suddenly felt a shiver run down her spine as she thought he had been thrown outside. But that made no sense. Not with a collision like this.
Tumblr media
“Mizzy…” she whispered hoarsely, bracing her whole body against the door to escape the car. “Mizzy… where are you…?” One hand holding her aching head, she had placed the other against the car, staggering around it, searching for him.

"I'm no kid," Aya remarked, following Briggs down the steep steps into the sand. It felt warm under her bare feet. Warm and pleasant. Still, she couldn't wait to plunge into the waves.
"Then I would suggest you live up to your reputation as a mentor. If you manage to get me over at least one wave by the end of the day, you'll have done your job well." Shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand, she grinned challengingly at the man.
Tumblr media
"All right, come on, let's go." Tucking the colorful board under her arm, she made her way towards the water. She stopped at the shore, however, and waited until Briggs had gone ahead.
When Briggs knocked on the door, Aya didn’t answer him. Instead, she examined herself from all sides in her new outfit in the mirror before finally opening the door and stepping outside.
“No,” she grinned, “I can just about manage that myself.” With her index finger on his chest, she shoved Briggs away from her before she passed him. “Looking good.” Cheerfully, she turned her head to face him once more before strutting down the stairs.
Once at the bottom of the house, she grabbed the board he’d assigned her, making her way out. “Don’t you dare laugh at me when I fall off!”

Aya had the feeling that Mizzy was still lying to her. A feeling, a hunch. She hated it when people weren’t honest with her. Because that meant she wasn’t worthy of knowing the truth. And yet Mizzy had been willing to ask her out. Because he liked her. And it was the same the other way around. Maybe he was just a damn coward.
Mizzy made it look like his ‘friends’ were the bad guys. And that they’d just accidentally gotten into some shit they’d pulled. It hadn’t escaped Aya’s notice that his friends had put the blame on him. That because of him, they’d been haunted by some armed asshole at the motel.
That didn’t exactly help to calm her down.
Tumblr media
“Listen, Mizzy…” she began, cocking her head angrily in his direction. The next second she was blinded by the glare of headlights, her eyes snapping back to the road.
A truck seemed to be heading straight for them, whereas it had probably been Aya who had jerked the steering wheel too far into the oncoming lane. Honking loudly, the truck came closer, causing her to yank the steering wheel back. She braked, but the car seemed to take on a life of its own as she hit a lamppost at full throttle, tires screeching until the car suddenly stopped.

Swimming through the water, it was sometimes difficult to see well because of the algae and dirt floating around. However, when the sunlight presented her with a spot in the water that was clearly illuminated, she finally spotted Mizzy and accelerated her movements.
Aya swam quickly and finally grabbed him, wrapping her arms around his torso, which was floating upside down.
"Hey, what are you doing?" she laughed, making a turn so that his head was facing upwards again. Like a mermaid without fins, she moved around him before grabbing his wrist and pulling him up with her.
Back on the surface, they poked their heads out of the water, Aya smiling broadly at him. "Well, what did you find?"
Aya loved Mizzy’s playful nature. It was infectious and hard to resist. But when he set out to find his own treasure, her ambition was awakened.
Throwing away the ring, which was obviously worth nothing after all, Aya swam in the other direction. Her eyes darted back and forth, finding keys, coins and lots of stones on the ground. Many small fish dodged her on her way through the water. Somehow it was peaceful down here.
Pausing for a moment, she looked up at the shimmering surface. The spell was simply magnificent. With that alone, Mizzy had probably already won her competition.
But she wanted to keep looking and eventually found a glittering stone. Thinking that she wouldn’t find anything better, Aya searched for her companion.

Oh, he played with her. It was a teasing game in which the weaker one lost. And Aya knew that would be her. She would be the loser, but she would like to be. Because the prize she would win was so worth it. And Mike already knew how the game would go. He knew exactly.
At the roll of his thumb, she let out an almost exasperated sigh, her backside pressing greedily against him and his growing erection.
"I want this so much… so much…" she pleaded, "I want you so much. I want you so deep inside me that I can't think of anything else... I am eager for you to fill me up..."
At the hair grasp, Aya let out an excited sigh. Still using the tiles for support, she enjoyed Mike’s attentions, goosebumps spreading, impatiently waiting.
Feeling him approach, the heat swelled noticeably inside her. Her abdomen seethed and her thighs began to tremble. He was so close, almost entering. “Mikey~” she whined softly.
She could have taken what she wanted, but she wanted to let him take the lead. Aya wanted him to show her how much he wanted her and how much he cared.

She braked, but the car seemed to take on a life of its own as she hit a lamppost at full throttle, tires screeching until the car suddenly stopped.
Basically, it didn’t matter what she meant. She was out, he was, and they were somewhere on the streets of San Francisco, soon to be far away from people who obviously didn’t mean well by them.
Just when she thought her blood pressure couldn’t get any higher, Aya heard Mizzy talking. She was so close, really so close, to just pulling over and kicking him out. Or get out herself, because she didn’t want to be the one to steal his car.
“You’re not serious, are you…?” she hissed, eyeing her passenger out of the corner of her eye. She really had to calm down, otherwise she might actually have an accident.
Tumblr media
“You should have just told me the truth from the start. You told me a lie, you took me for a fool… But I’m not stupid, Mizzy, definitely not. And before you keep lying to me, you should think twice about it.”
Tightening her fingers around the steering wheel, her knuckles turned white again.

"Guess so." Too bad Francene had apparently decided not to engage in any further conversation with her. At least her last words seemed as if she didn't feel like it anymore.
Tumblr media
Aya wasn't someone who liked to keep quiet, but if the other person preferred to have dragged everything out of them, even she would eventually lose interest.
But since they had decided to track down this stalker together, she had no choice but to sit down next to her and look into the darkness as well. Nothing unusual. Until now. But perhaps their target wasn't stupid and had already seen them waiting for them.
When she started to glare at Ayako, Francene corrected herself, offering the latter a blank look instead. "...I guess we'll find out soon, won't we?" She responded curtly, propping her chin up in her hands. She wanted to be mean, the vampire wanted to ruin Ayako's night by reminding the PI that she was hired to figure out what the hell was happening-not Francene. Of course that wouldn't be fair to say; Francene cared only, truly, about Allison, and to get angry and leave like she wanted wouldn't get her anywhere and-considering Ayako could be right-the girl would end up dead.
So she stayed right there.
