Theo & Vincent as a whole are basically ocs with the same name and interests but are just not really the same person. Deaths are different. In fact, so different it messes with the personalities of the brothers. Theo actually lived six months after Vincent, spiralling physically and mentally. Vincent died of suicide, the only time you can CONSIDER murder is to a local village boy. The whole storyline for Theo was weird because they changed so much about those two.

Theo Theo Theo Theo Theo Theo.

Don’t get me wrong, i absolutely adore both Theo and Vincent as characters in the game. Theo’s character is enjoyable as a whole because of his personality and mannerisms, but his route angers me.

Spoilers if you have not yet played the route hidden below.

Paul Gauguin killing Vincent and then Theo, Theo’s whole motivation for coming back is to seek revenge, Vincent secretly knowing how the hell he died but never told Theo. It’s all weird and so far from the correct history that I can’t stand his route. I will gladly toss out the canon lore in this case for the historical lore. Theo died six months after Vincent, not six minutes. All of it is so wrong, it’s worse than Vincent’s route in the fact that they took a very emotional and loving person to make him extremely apathetic in comparison. Van Gogh is my extreme “hyperfixation” and I’m not even the slightest bit apologetic.

Compromise, Comte pays her for cleaning the house so she can buy what she wants. Though, this took a bit of convincing since Papa Comte just wanted to basically spoil his child.

I wanna know y’all’s thoughts about MC’s income.

Like, she works at the mansion and for that she gets to stay and live there. But what if she goes to the city, sees a cute dress or desert that she wants? I don’t think she even has a penny to her name.

Technically, Comte already bought her things and her lover is giving her gifts, but how about everyday necessities? She can’t ask them for things every single time she wants something. 🤷‍♀️

And I don’t think she can even pick up a side gig, because cleaning that HUGE mansion takes a lot of time.

Just a vent / rant rambles

Honestly, after getting rid of four toxic people from my life, I can’t help but just want to laugh hysterically. I feel free. I didn’t even realize how much they weighed me down.

• I don’t have to deal with someone who considers it a personal attack to their character if you dislike an interest they do. But will push you into a verbal corner asking you repeatedly “why don’t you like it,” not picking up any point when someone tries to politely say ‘well I never got into it.’ Apparently, you can like something but not got into it, who knew that oxymoron existed. This same person would also criticise me for watching a subpar anime that even I admit that it lost its appeal a little bit ago but I’m still watching it to finish it. Or criticising how my work in progress story IDEA doesn’t make any sense or how they dislike the trope I’m wanting to write. Or someone who makes “jokes” about how angry my impulsive actions are and how much better they are than I am at money management, not funny and I could have so passed on that.

• I’m not friends with a diagnosed autistic who would act in the most passive aggressive manner while claiming to not be upset or mad. This behaviour continuing for up to three weeks until I’m completely losing my mind because of how vindictive it is at some point and I can’t take it being around this person. Apparently, “I’m sorry for being repeatedly petty passive aggressive” and two plain I’m sorries was actually supposed to count towards all attitudes towards me including directly telling me that otome fans are delusional freaks. I think, I don’t know for sure. If this person acted in any way, it’s because they are diagnosed autistic, but the person (me) who EVERYONE makes a point of how they could likely be undiagnosed neurodivergent has to accept all actions (just and unjust) as the consequences for their actions.

• someone who wasn’t active throughout any of the drama but heard stories from the previous two about how immature I am. Someone who insisted chose to act in passive aggressive ways despite having genuinely no need to. Like, no one asked for you to act aggressively in messages, Felicia. So take your leave without saying anything.

• finally, someone who was frustrated by something I said and in a disagreement talked about me behind my back in an absolutely degrading, insulting way. When I was going to leave to let them have a good trip, they instead chose to mock me yet again while claiming that “they don’t know why I’m upset, I never talk.” I do talk, I’m just tired of someone not listening to me when I tell you what I feel or disregarding it as me being sensitive. You can disagree with me, an seven part education major, when I say the best way to lower the illiteracy rate is to stop having children be diagnosed with problems and allowed to never learn (basically what I’ve seen happen directly and indirectly.) But you aren’t simply disagreeing with me when you accuse me of not having personal first hand experiences being the different child, calling me ableist because I don’t think being able to listen to audiobooks alone is going to lower the literacy rates, and saying directly/indirectly that I shouldn’t be a teacher because I remind you of someone you hate. You conflated my views to insult me. Mocked me when I chose to leave instead of dealing with a bully. Then wanting me to message you, like I was the one in the wrong. The only wrong I had was giving you access to that account.

I don’t have to deal with any of it anymore. Haha. It feels like I have this huge weight just lifted off of me in just a few actions. I’ve been reading self improvement books and watching the vlogs, so that’s also had an impact as well. But, I’m not dying or feeling as connected to these toxic people. I don’t feel like I need them. And honestly, I’m more than a little grateful they left, mostly of their own will. Sure, it took some effort from me on two of them, but that said, I don’t have them around. Here I am, I can watch shows like My Hero Academia knowing the plot is going down, but it’s still a fun show to watch with my younger sibling. Or play my otome in peace. I don’t have to walk on eggshells to not offend them. And god forbid I try to show them how they are the ones who acted in the wrongdoing. I don’t have to have people who I call my friends assume (incorrectly at that) about my life to judge me for my views and opinions. I don’t have to deal with people who just act like bullies for the fun of it.

No more of any of it. I’m free of them. And I didn’t even think about how much they were hurting me until I let them go. They were nothing but toxic flowers. Beautiful to look at, but deadly to keep near.
