Okay Asian companies, keep the Solomons coming. I actually would love to see the chaos of a cross over with these three men. It would be so chaotic with OM! Solomon seems to struggle with.

Okay, to be fair to WHB! Solomon, he could also have a pact with Lucifer.

PSA for People in USA Getting Vaccines

now that the CDC has authorized additional COVID-19 boosters (which are free even without insurance through the Bridge Access program!), many people in the USA are likely intending to seek their next vaccination.

it's important to make sure the vaccine is administered through the right size needle for your body type. the CDC has this PDF which features a table detailing the needle size and gauge, and injection site based on one's age, weight, and gender.*

why does this matter?

one's weight impacts the needle length required for adults. depending on your fat distribution, you may require a 1.5-inch needle for injections. here is the exact data from the PDF for reference:

Men, 152-260 lbs (70-118 kg) = 1-1.5 inches (25-38 mm)

Women, 152-200 lbs (70-90 kg) = 1-1.5 inches (25-38 mm)

Men, 260 lbs (118 kg) or more = 1.5 inches (38 mm)

Women, 200 lbs (90 kg) or more = 1.5 inches (38 mm)

* it goes without saying that the gender model used in the PDF is not comprehensive. i would recommend that intersex individuals, people on gender affirmative hormone therapy, and other applicable persons should have a conversation with a doctor or pharmacist prior to vaccine administration to determine where they fall within these guidelines.

no lie but during the last or second-to-last ao3 fundraiser, i remember seeing someone brag about donating $5k. of their own job earnings. some 30-something white-collar worker.

if the majority of ao3 donors are in a similar financial bracket, then 1) the how of the fundraiser exceeding the goal is very simple and 2) the push back against donating directly to people in need is also classism at work

...it's been a while since i really talked about what's happening in my day-to-day, and this was something major. i know that despite my infrequent updates, there are friends here who care about my well-being.

lemme preface this by saying i'm fine, no one's hurt, and i'm not needing to do any crowdfunding. my streak of lucking out despite the circumstances has remained unbroken, even in the face of my being in my first car accident last week

fender-bender, but only on the corners since i corrected my steering in time. no injuries, no hard feelings, other driver's car was still operational. did get a ticket, but i still have my license and i was able to get an extension on the payment deadline. my car was deemed a total loss, but the insurance payout is over twice what i bought it for. family lives close by, and arranged for me to borrow a vehicle the same day of the incident.

i'm very fortunate that the logistics have worked out like this. i'm still working on processing things emotionally (stress/anxiety took a few days to actually set in), but everyone's been very supportive and accommodating. i can start looking at a replacement vehicle within the next few weeks, and i can always carpool if it comes down to it

how to report blaze posts

copy the permalink of the blazed post

find a different post and choose to report it, and select "for something else" when asked why

MAKE SURE you don't block the op of the different post before proceeding (it's automatically selected)

select the appropriate reason

when you reach the screen that asks for detail on how it violates community guidelines, there is a field above it titled "content you're reporting" and the permalink to the other post

delete that permalink and replace it with that of the blazed post

proceed to report the post as usual, making sure to complete the captcha

hit submit and send it off!

i have been able to report blazed posts successfully this way based on the confirmation emails it generated. i haven't tested the efficacy, i.e. kept tabs on a post to see if it actually gets removed, just bc i've been busy with other things

you may find it easier to copy and paste the permalink on desktop than mobile. i found i was unable to paste anything into the "content you're reporting" field on mobile, so it may be best to use your mobile browser and use the desktop version for this purpose

edit: the original version of this post had 3 screenshots for demonstration i added the last tag via the old xkit extension, which did so via the old post editor and for some reason reversed the order of the screenshots. the images have been removed bc i can’t add alt text to in-line images on the old post editor, much less make them form a neat row

it used to be that changes to tumblr were like the staff moving the furniture 5 cm to the left. things weren't exactly where you remembered them but you could still find them with ease

now it's like they've moved the furniture into other rooms entirely. nailed shit to the ceiling. the toilet is out on the lawn. you go to set your coffee down on the table only to find that table surface is a door you couldn't find 3 months ago. and you'd know if only staff's updates on @changes didn't account for 50% or less of the changes they actually make
