-Bloody Kisses-
pairing: wednesday x vamp! reader
word count: 3.22k
warnings: slight nsfw, blood
desc: wednesday helps you with your blood deficiency and becomes addicted to the pain of your bite :)
a/n: lowkey erotic despite there being nothing sexual 😭😭 will probably write a pt 2!!
edit: pt 2 is out :)
Tumblr media
tonight was like any night for wednesday; pitch black gear on to help camouflage her in the dead of night, hoping to once again get a glimpse of the hyde.
what she didn't expect was to watch a girl tumble limply down the incline that wednesday took shelter at the bottom of.
she heard a few coughs, painful ones that sounded full of death. coughs like those came from people close to hades' door.
in her intrigue, wednesday couldn't help but lift from her hiding spot and slowly trek towards the girl laying face down in the fallen autumn leaves. she knelt, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder to flip her upright.
who she saw was someone she recognized to be one of enid's closest friends. from enid's stories, her name is (y/n) and she happened to be part of the vampire division of the school.
wednesday noticed your eyelids begin to flutter with consciousness and she took a step back.
when you fully opened them, it took you a second to recognize where you were. taking in your surroundings, wednesday's attentive gaze smothered you.
your arms began to lift you from the ground, but they went limp and you collapsed into the leaves once more.
"you look awful," wednesday said in her monotone voice.
you looked up to her, eye twitching with pain, "gee, thanks."
"i suppose you're (y/n)."
"and i suppose you're wednesday addams," you retorted, a painful coughing fit following soon after.
"how come you're in this state?" she questioned. it almost sounded like concern, but you knew enough from enid that wednesday doesn't feel emotions like that.
you let out a self-pitying laugh, "i can't ingest the animal blood offered at school. i always throw it up, no matter how hard i try. i'm dying and i can't tell anyone."
"are you not already dead?"
her insensitivity was astounding.
"my bad for not using the correct terminology," you spat, another coughing fit taking over your lungs and causing you to clench the soil beneath.
as wednesday watched your life drain from your weak body, an idea dug itself into her thoughts. "is it human blood that you desire?"
you looked at her like she was stupid. the expression on your face was answer enough, so she continued, "i will give you some of mine."
now your pale face was dumbstruck. is this bitch crazy?
"why the fuck would you want to do that?" you asked, thinking her suggestion was absolute nonsense.
"to say that i am curious about the feeling of a vampire bite would be a... crude understatement," she replied, her eyes the color of the sky above, omitting the stars.
you shook your head defiantly, "absolutely not. i don't think i could control myself, i might just suck you dry."
wednesday's mouth twitched, restraining a masochistic smile.
"do you really have a choice, (y/n)? "
you looked down at yourself. your throat felt like hell fire and every single limb held an unbearable ache. you were treading a thin line between immortality and mortality, and that scared you.
running a hand through your hair, you gazed back up at her, "fine. we do this once, and i will owe you. just please, please don't tell anyone. i'm afraid everyone will believe i'll go ballistic without blood and i'll get expelled."
wednesday nodded and slowly sat beside you, her small frame accentuated by the moon light behind her. getting a better look, you could tell how pretty she was. enid never mentioned that.
"what is it that you need me to do?"
you looked at her, examining what she was wearing. a black spaghetti strap dress that zipped from behind with a long sleeved turtle neck beneath.
realizing what you were about to say, your face began to warm, "uhm- you'll need to uh, to removed the turtle neck under your dress."
she nodded, then said, "it would be easier if you would unzip the dress for me."
how she kept a calm, emotionless expression on her face was beyond you. having this much contact with someone you've only heard about through stories made your face flush red.
after unzipping her dress, wednesday didn't even hesitate to pull the turtle neck over her head. this exposed most of her bare, pale back and the inky lace bra that her clothes had hidden. you were intensely mortified.
"w-wait, are you okay with me seeing this? i-" your words of embarrassment were cut short by more hacking, this time with a string of blood down the side of your mouth.
"i am fine," she stated, moving the dress back up and concealing her bra once more. now her shoulders and neck were fully exposed. your mouth practically flooded with saliva at the thought of piercing the smooth skin with your fangs.
"(y/n), " she said, this time with a little force in her tone, "do it. i want you to."
these words made your chest tighten. you tried to breathe a little more steady, "okay."
scooting closer to her, you moved one of her black braids from the left side of her neck to let it hang behind her. you took her bare shoulders in your hands, leaning close to the skin of her exposed neck.
though you felt awful for what you were about to do, you also felt completely exhilarated.
and, surprisingly, so did wednesday. the way you gently caressed her as your warm breath tickled the skin about to be pierced; it had her mind tangling in knots that she couldn't be bothered to unravel.
the prick of pain that followed the penetration of your teeth made wednesday's entire body shiver. she was hyper aware of the blood draining from the spot you assaulted but the feeling was intensely pleasing.
she felt warm. then she felt cold. her shoulder went fuzzy, like it no longer blonged to her. then her mind floated in a euphoria she'd never experienced before; the pain was like a bruise she enjoyed pressing on.
you also felt incredible. with each second that passed by, it felt like life was entering your body once more. the liquid vitality that you consumed almost made your still heart beat again.
you loved the feeling. you wanted to drink. you wanted all of it, all of her. but in the back of your mind, a small voice screamed at you to stop. the voice got louder until you forced yourself to pull away.
a small stream of blood dripped to wednesday's collarbone. "you can lick it," she said in a monotone voice laced with need. you shook your head, wiping your mouth.
wednesday couldn't wrap her head around the euphoric feeling that your bite had inflicted on her; all she knew was that she wanted to experience it again.
with your fangs on full view, color returned to your face and a body back to it's original state, you looked like a whole new person. this thought set a fire ablaze in her stomach and she couldn't tell if she enjoyed it or not.
her arms felt like wet noodles. she tried to lift them, attempting to put her garment back on; it was to no avail.
you saw this, "i'm sorry, i drank too much. let me help you."
as you went to help her, she fell backwards onto your lap. eyes widening in concern, you lean close to check her complexion, "wednesday, are you okay? i'm sorry, i really should have restrained myself. "
"no," she shook her head adamantly, "i requested this. and it's not like being in this state is unenjoyable."
you pressed your lips together in a line full of judgement, but said nothing. after her clothes were placed back on her, she tried to lift herself off of you.
"wait, wait- trust me, if you can't put your own clothes on then you can't stand by yourself," you said with care, standing and placing her arm around your shoulders.
the walk back to nevermore was quiet. neither of you spoke a word, wednesday too light headed from the painful pleasure of your teeth. she even forgot what she had been doing outside in the first place.
when you arrived at her dorm, she was still weak and needed support. wednesday held a finger to her lips. her dead eyes motioned to the door. you knew that enid was inside, and hopefully, she was asleep.
with the door unlocked, you assisted wednesday to her bed. when you went to set her down, however, you tripped on the corner of her bedsheets that hung to the floor.
wednesday's eyes widened in surprise as you came crashing down on top of her. chest to chest, the details of her face were in close proximity. you could practically trace patterns in her constellation of freckles.
shuffling and the sound of a comforter moving came from the other side of the room. enid.
wednesday's arms encircled you as she pressed you closer to her chest, forcing your head to hide in the crook of her neck.
your face was practically on fire. this is so not how tonight was supposed to go.
"shhh," she whispered, completely unfazed. you could tell she was being cautious of her sleeping roommate.
as her soft, black hair began to tickle your nose, she released you. you quickly backed away from her, making sure you stayed quiet.
"thank you," you whisper. she gives you a slightly perplexed expression in response.
tiptoeing to the door, you open it. looking behind one last time, you notice that wednesday has situated herself into a more comfortable position. you waved at her, and close the door without a sound.
wednesday lay there, mind recounting the events of the night. she tried to cipher through them, but one thought continued to surface through the rest:
she smells like vanilla.
> > >
wednesday wanted to see you again. it seemed like every time she caught a glimpse of you in the hallway, you soon disappeared as if you hadn't been there.
it was starting to frustrate her. were you avoiding her?
the thought made her grind her teeth; it also made her insanely confused. normally, she would prefer that people avoided her. but with you, it just made her want to scratch at her skin.
finally, during lunch period a week later, she saw you sitting with enid and her group. wednesday contemplated whether or not it would be a good idea to go up to you; she had promised to keep the ordeal a secret. no one knew the two had any connection to one another.
her heart outweighed her brain in the end and she stepped into the maze of lunch tables.
"(y/n)," she called. the words you were speaking to enid dropped from your mouth when you noticed the girl in black next to you.
you smiled, fangs displayed, "oh, uh- hey, wednesday."
wednesday's eyes turned to where your tray should be, noticing that you had nothing to eat.
"i need to talk to you," she stated, "in private."
enid raised a brow, trying to subtly ask her why? but wednesday pretended to be ignorant; though, she knew she wouldn't be able to avoid an interrogation later.
you awkwardly laughed, giving a strained smile, "sure."
when wednesday lead you to a deserted hallway, her expression changed into a slightly angry one.
"are you avoiding me?" she asked bravely. you were surprised.
"well, we're not friends so i didn't think we needed to see one another."
the answer irritated her.
she tried to restrain her snarkiness, "i see you're still avoiding the animal blood."
you nodded, afraid of where this was going. it's not like you didn't enjoy what you both did a week ago; it was quite the opposite actually.
every time you thought of her your breath caught in your throat. the image of her bare shoulder basically served on a silver platter plagued your mind. god, avoiding her was awful.
you just knew that if you saw her again, you wouldn't be able to control yourself anymore. the little restraint you had was terrifying.
"so? what do you want?" your words came off a bit harsher than you intended, but you were afraid of her intentions.
she cracked a small smile, but it quickly dissipated as she said, "i want to do it again."
you knew it.
"wednesday, what we did- we can't do it again. i'm not as strong as you think," you tried to explain, "i was able to restrain myself last time. i won't be able to again."
wednesday took a step closer; her cold breath sending a ghostly chill down your spine.
"what if i don't want you to?"
you didn't know what to say. her words were painfully tempting; if you could, you would tear her uniform in the middle of the hallway and consume a waterfall.
you stayed silent for a moment, then cracked, "okay, fine, meet me at my dorm tonight. my roommate has plans so she won't be there."
elation filled wednesday to the brim; if she could scream and jump up and down in excitement she would've. instead, she nodded her head once and said, "see you then," before slipping into the darkness of the empty hallway before her.
you took a seat on a nearby bench, putting your head in your hands.
she really had you wrapped around her finger.
> > >
as you had instructed wednesday later in the day with a slip of your dorm key in her hand, she snuck into your room at the devil's hour.
there she caught you in pajamas, reading a book on your windowsill. she cocked her head a bit. the scene perplexed her.
wednesday had never seen you in casual clothing before; nor did she know that you enjoyed reading. this information was practically useless but it made her feel a closeness to you that felt impossible before.
your room wasn't bright like enid's; there were a few pinups of different artists and a cd collection on a small bookshelf. warm lighting made the room feel comfortable, unlike the white hospital lights that wednesday utilized in her own.
it took you a second to realize wednesday had arrived, quickly placing a bookmark in a page and turning towards her.
"are you sure you want to do this again?" you asked, wanting to reaffirm her consent.
wednesday already began taking off the black cardigan she wore over her tank top, looking at you with eyes that spelled are you daft?
you nodded, socked feet making small thumps on the ground as you walked toward your bed.
you patted the spot to your right. wednesday understood this signal, sitting close enough that her thighs touched your own.
a shaky breath left your throat. you were going to do this. it was too late to back out now; not with wednesday waiting patiently before you.
she pushed the strap of her tank top off her shoulder, leaving it completely naked. then you realized that the position the two of you were in wouldn't make this process comfortable enough.
"wednesday, do you mind- uh, shit, how do i say this," you were practically sweating as you swiveled towards her, legs criss crossed.
she mirrored your movements. her eyes were leveled with yours, patiently waiting for your directions.
"please- fuck, please sit in my lap. it'll give me the best angle so that i don't hurt you too badly."
you swore you saw a little flush spread on her freckled cheeks.
"alright," she agreed, crawling over to you. wednesday put her hands on your shoulders as she placed herself in the divot between your crossed legs. in this position, she was basically straddling you.
shit, isn't this a tad too intimate?
your thoughts were far beyond obsurd considering this was your request. knowing this, you sighed and let your eyes wander to her exposed shoulder.
"you're looking at it as if it's a buffet, you know," wednesday stated. you looked up at her, giving an annoyed face.
"i'm just nervous, geez."
wednesday's icey hand slithered up your back and rested at the nape of your neck. she guided your head closer, encouraging you to feast.
"do it," she whispered, her breath tickling your ear. by now, any self-discipline you tried to scrounge up had long vanished.
you leaned in. licking the chosen spot on her neck for a second, wednesday shuddered under your touch.
when you let your teeth puncture the virgin skin, you couldn't help but wrap her in your arms as you gripped her back.
wednesday let her head fall back, closing her eyes. the painful ecstasy was hers once again. this time felt different, though.
this time it was more than just the fangs deep in her skin; it was you, holding her tight as the familiar fragrance of vanilla washed over her senses. pain and pleasure were two sides of the same coin and wednesday felt light headed as she experienced both at once.
your fingers found their way under her tank top, wanting to grab at more than fabric. the taste of her blood made the world turn to static. your ears went deaf and all you could focus on was the girl in your lap and the way her jet black hair brushed against your face.
this act was like a drug administering the same affect on both addicts. you felt drunk and as your teeth sunk further in her shoulder, so did wednesday.
with her abdomen against yours, there was no room for you to get closer. when you pulled away, wednesday looked at you with her eyes half-lidded.
your mind was in a fog as you gazed at her. with the taste of blood still afflicting your tongue, your only thought was how beautiful wednesday looked.
and as she met your inebriated gaze, an overwhelming urge to kiss you took hold of her actions.
she leaned in. despite knowing close to nothing about you and wanting little to do with romance, she wanted you. she wanted you and the painful pleasure you bestowed upon her.
you got swept up in the moment and kissed her back instantly. you squeezed her closer, grazing her lip with your fang. irony blood tainted your lips. the taste left you higher than any drug.
opening her mouth, wednesday deepened the sinful kiss and you reciprocated in full. you felt like you couldn't breath. you didn't want to pull away.
just as wednesday's tongue skimmed your teeth, you pulled away.
deep breaths fogged the cold windows of the small dorm room. you still held her as her dead eyes held something a little more than a dark abyss; something even wednesday couldn't understand.
she wanted to continue, to ask you to bite her again and again and again. it didn't matter if you took all of her; it would be a great headline on a tombstone.
so, once you'd filled your lungs, wednesday stole away the distance of your lips once more.
you fell back, holding her. by now it was far past four in the morning, with school in three hours.
neither of you cared. the bloody kisses were an intoxication full of need; tonight would feel like forever.

Tumblr media
well, shit.
blinding lights abruptly woke you. it felt like you were looking straight into high beams.
you slightly open one eye to see what was going on. wednesday was still asleep on your arm. usually, you'd take this moment to admire her sleeping form; this time, however, an angry monster stood before you with a glaring flashlight.
it was principal weems.
> > >
you were caught in the middle of a stare down between the principal and wednesday. weems' eye began to twitch in sheer rage as wednesday continued to glare without a single blink.
"u-uhm," you tried, "i'm very sorry, principal weems. it won't happen again."
her gaze did not leave wednesday as she said, "i know this is all wednesday's doing. whenever someone breaks the rules, it always leads back to wednesday."
"then it shouldn't be a problem to let her go," wednesday uttered through clenched teeth.
a delirious smile made its way to weem's painted lips, "i'll have to thank bianca later for her help. if she hadn't tipped me off that there were lights still on in the greenhouse, i never would've caught you."
this made your stomach drop. you were terrified. how would you see wednesday again if you were expelled?
"you're not gonna expel us, are you?" you gulped.
weems laughed, "no, of course not. if i could, i would, but unfortunately all i can do is give the both of you detention for the next week."
the impossible happened. with these words, a wide eyed smile curled it's way to wednesday's lips. seeing this was actually pretty horrifying.
you knew something was going on in wednesday's head, but you tried to diffuse the situation before principal weems noticed wednesday's serial killer smile.
"aw, damn, that sucks. well, guess we better head back to our dorms so we can prepare ourselves for that awful detention tomorrow," the words sounded awkward along with a strained chuckle afterwards.
you tugged at the edge of wednesday's blazer, trying to nudge her towards the door. she understood the hint, continuing to glower at the bleached blonde women behind the haughty desk. she finally turned, heading in your direction.
once the large doors to weem's office clicked soundly shut, you let out a huge sigh of relief. you took a second to relax. then, you slowly turned your head to wednesday.
"what was that- that smile for?" you asked with an odd expression.
she tilted her head down as she stared up at you, her pupils half covered by her eyelids.
"i believe alone time in a room meant for child punishment will prove to be very educational."
you wanted to smack her, but you used your hand to cover your burning cheeks instead.
"do you ever think of anything besides stuff like that?" you complained.
she turned around and looked behind her, "you're an affliction. this is your own doing, (y/n)." her eyes glittered with deep affection that her facial features couldn't express.
though her words were full of teasing, you couldn't help but snort at her overly proper english. you really loved that about her.
you watched her turn the corner to ophelia hall. then, you went in the opposite direction to your own.
> > >
the bell rung, signalling the start of your incarceration in the detention room. you sighed, gathering your books off the desk.
enid took this opportunity to walk over to you, bouncing on her heels.
"hey, (y/n)! yoko and i were thinking of going out to jericho tonight to see a movie. wanna come?" she beamed, her smile as blindingly white as the rest of her.
you pressed your lips together in a disappointed line, "can't. i got detention."
enid squinted her eyes as she played with a strand of faded pink hair, "that's odd. wednesday said she had detention too. did you guys do something?"
"nahhh, i was just tardy to first period too many times and got detention. no idea why she's in there," you chuckled awkwardly.
knowing she still didn't quite believe your explanation, you slung your backpack over your shoulder. a quick "see you later, have fun" and you were basically sprinting out of the classroom.
enid stood there, continuing to stare at the place you once stood with a look of deep thought.
> > >
wednesday sat stiffly in her desk chair as she waited for you. the teacher that was supposed to supervise the detention somehow had her tires slashed earlier in the day, so she couldn't make it.
weems had come in a few minutes prior, threatening wednesday not to cause any trouble; little did she know, wednesday's hands were clean. thing made sure of that.
when the door creaked open and your head poked through the crack, wednesday stood.
"(y/n)," she called nonchalantly, sitting herself atop a nearby desk. spotting her, you smiled. wednesday hated cute things; except for your smile.
you walked up to her, placing your bag on the floor before resting your forehead on her shoulder and holding her waist.
she allowed this, surprisingly hugging you back herself.
"i'm sorry i got you into this," you mumbled, the sentence muffled by wednesday's uniform.
she pulled you from the embrace to give you a stern gaze, "i don't mind. this is actually quite enjoyable."
"how!?" you exclaimed, "there's nothing to do in here besides sit and be miserable!" your arms motioned to the sea of empty chairs.
"i'm with my beloved in a secluded room," she said, hopping off the desk and heading for a black suitcase next to her book bag, "and i brought this."
when she opened it, a black type writer and hundreds of loose pages were revealed.
your eyes widened, "is that the book you've mentioned before?"
"yes, and i would like to show you the new addition to the story."
you furrowed your brows and gave funny smile, "what do you mean new addition?"
wednesday flipped through the abundant number of pages until she found what she was looking for. she pulled it out of the stack and presented it to you, something akin to excitement written on her stone face.
you took the paper gently, letting your eyes skim the sentences. everything on the page almost made your heart pump blood once again. you wanted to jump and hug her; instead, you asked for another page, and then another.
the book was a murder mystery. having read small excerpts from it, it was obvious that the main character was heavily inspired by wednesday herself.
here, on this page, was a character you could only guess was supposed to be a fictional reflection of yourself. the character was sweet and kind to the protagonist, and the more you read, the cuter their love story became. she was even a vampire.
you never would have guessed that wednesday could be so good at writing a romance subplot. the confession scene was so pure that you almost squealed.
"wednesday, is she supposed to be me? err- well, someone like me?" you asked, pure adoration filling your heart.
she looked to the page, answering with a small, "yes".
then, she looked up to you with a more serious expression than before.
"as she is her girlfriend, i want you to be mine," wednesday stated. her eye contact was impressive, her lids unblinking.
"r-really?!" you practically screamed. was it really possible that wednesday addams was asking you to be her girlfriend? and with such a romantic gesture?
wednesday nodded, "considering i've tasted every part of you, it is inevitable."
gasping at her bold words, you smacked her chest with the papers.
"my goodness, how can you just say stuff like that?" you mumbled with puffed cheeks. your reaction was exactly what wednesday was hoping for.
she took the papers from your hands and laid them with the rest. after, she turned back to look at you.
your hair, your facial features; the white fang that peeked through your lip. it had been a while since you had consumed any of her blood and she yearned for the feeling once more. this was her chance.
you were soon hoisted up onto one of the desks. you looked down at her while she was forced to look up through her thick lashes. you knew where this was going, you wanted it just as much as she did.
might as well enjoy this detention.
instead of the usual beginning bite, she pulled your face down to hers via your neck tie. for a split second you exchanged breaths, looking into eyes that were millimeters apart.
you couldn't take it anymore and you leaned forward, connecting your lips with hers. her snowy hands slid up your skirt, leaving trails of goosebumps on your thighs.
you sighed into her mouth. she already knew exactly how to bend you to her will. this time, however, you had different plans. you wanted to watch her come undone too.
your fingers sneakily untied the hairbands at the end of her braids. each one detangled itself, leaving you with the sight of wednesday's hair completely unrestricted. she looked beautiful; her hair a starless night sky. it was just as soft as her bangs, only you could completely run your hands through it.
this surprised wednesday, if anyone else had done it she would've committed arson in their dorm rooms; but if it was you, anything was fine.
her scalp tingled with the sensational feeling of your fingers. it made her want to go limp in your arms.
as she thought this, you broke the kiss to bite at her bottom lip with your fang. iron soon filled your mouth, and it made both of you that much more aroused. leaning back, wednesday loved how swollen and moist your lips had become. she was about to lick the blood on the side of your mouth when you dove for her neck.
you meant to restrain yourself, but her foggy black eyes full of desire made it impossible.
unbuttoning her collar, you stripped her shoulder of all garments. she reciprocated by tilting her head to the side, allowing you to do whatever you pleased.
then you noticed the many, many bite marks that littered her neck; each one a stamp of ownership. she was yours and you were hers.
you teased her a little. a fang prick on one side and a glide of your tongue on the other. her breathing became unsteady.
"may i?" you whispered to her, knowing it would tickle the sensitive skin.
"you don't have to ask," she whispered back, closing glossy eyes.
like a predator pouncing on its prey, you sunk your fangs in a spot free of any marks. the familiar taste caused a moan to slip from your mouth, sending vibrations throughout wednesday's entire body. she could've collapsed on the spot.
as you were about to take your first gulp, the classroom door swung open and there enid stood, slack jawed.
she shrieked. it was high pitched and girly and very alarming to anyone who might have heard it.
"(y/n)- wha- what are you doing!?" enid freaked, running over to you both. before you could fully pull your fangs from wednesday's neck, enid jumped on you like a wild animal.
you were slammed to the tile floor, hitting it with a hard thud. she sat on top of you, pinning your neck to the ground.
"why- how-" she stammered, unable to form a complete sentence in the chaos.
her painted nails grew into large claws in less than a second. she was almost choking you at this point.
wednesday, who had fallen into and knocked over several desks, quickly grabbed her wrist.
"enid, stop!" she said, raising her voice to a terrifying degree. wednesday held enid's wrist in a painful grip, causing her grip on your neck to loosen.
you took this opportunity to shove her off of you, heaving in the process.
as wednesday held her back, now holding both wrists and restraining her lethal weapons, confusion took hold of enid's expression. she tried to take slower breaths to relax herself.
"wednesday, why- why was she biting you like that!? why are you protecting her!?" she yelled, panic still evident in her voice.
how are we gonna tell her?
> > >
thirty minutes later, enid sat on a desk with a blank look on her face. you and wednesday stood in front of her, explaining everything that has happened the past few weeks.
by the end, enid felt like her whole world had changed.
"so... you're telling me that... you asked her to do that, wednesday? and you guys are dating?"
you nodded and wednesday affirmed it as well.
silence settled in the room. enid sat, processing the fairytale she'd been told.
then, her face morphed into a frown, "and.. and you guys, my two best friends, never told me any of this?"
her voice was full of hurt and her expression made you feel even worse. wednesday saw you fidgeting with the hem of your skirt out of the corner of her eye.
she reached for hour hand, slipping her ice cold fingers into your own. you squeezed back.
"i'm really sorry, enid. the only person who knew was xavier-"
"xavier!?" she bursted, her face flushing with anger, "why would you tell him and not me!?"
you sighed, "well- it's just harder when it's someone so important to you. i was gonna tell you eventually, but when i was ready, y'know?"
your explanation made enid's furious features soften. she took a deep breath.
"okay, okay. i understand. just- you can tell me these things. both of you, " she said, looking to wednesday to confirm she heard her.
then, enid being enid, any trace of negative emotion vanished from her face. it was replaced with a big, bright smile.
standing up from the desk, she placed her hands on yours and wednesday's shoulders.
"i knew something was going on between you two. sometimes i'd catch you speaking to wednesday in the hall and i've never seen her look at someone the way she looks at you. now, tell me about how you guys fell in love. i want to hear all of it!"

in the middle of the woods, a mile away from nevermore, existed a small pond.
the water was clean and full of tiny fish. fog forever hung over it's rippling surface.
an old dock, barely passing safety regulations, lead to the middle of this small body of water.
here is where you planned to meet wednesday for your very first date as girlfriends.
enid, now obsessed with your relationship, pushed wednesday to ask you.
the trek was long, but when you made it to the pond, you understood exactly why wednesday loved it so much.
it felt like you were in a completely different dimension; one full of foggy greyness. the perfect secret spot for wednesday addams.
you sat side by side on the dock. hands intertwined, you were also connected through the earbuds in each of your ears.
it was your favorite slow song, one that always brought you to your happy place. that place was now wednesday. you wanted to remember the feeling of the breeze on your cheeks and the melody in your mind.
wednesday let her gaze lead to you through the corner of her eye; a small, content smile on your lips as you stared at the still waters.
she wanted to cherish you forever. she finally understood how her mom felt. she understood why people were so addicted to being in love.
though it could hurt sometimes, it was calm moments like these that made each day worth living. wednesday, caught up in her pining, whispered, "i truly adore you."
though, it seems you didn't hear through the music in your ear. that was just fine with wednesday.
she turned her attention back to the grey landscape.
breathing in through her nose, she smiled a tiny, hidden smile. a familiar scent tickled her nose.
vanilla.

-Smitten (pt 2)-
pairing: wednesday x vamp! reader
word count: 3.22k
warnings: slight nsfw, blood
desc: part 2 of bloody kisses. oh how the tables have turned :)
a/n: i love her so so much ughhggh and idk what to write for my next fic T_T
edit: to save myself from writers block, requests are open if anyone has any! :))
Tumblr media
an alarm rung throughout the room. you turned, trying to escape the sound.
instead, you found yourself spooning something, or someone. your groggy eyes tried to focus on the figure laying on the other side of the bed.
braided hair, black pajamas and pale skin. the intruder in your bed was wednesday.
oh fuck, she's still here?
your mind tried to recount what happened the night before; why did little miss emotionless spend the night with you?
then, like a ship protruding from the mist of a foggy harbor, you remembered: the bite. holding her, feeling up her cold skin. and the intense make-out session that lasted for literal hours. the memory made you cover your face in embarrassment, more so from your own pride than anyone else in the room.
you lifted yourself slightly to grab your phone. it lay on the side table next to wednesday. with the weight of your elbow dipping the sheets next to her, her sleeping form tilted towards you.
trying the tactic of carefully reaching over wednesday was fruitless; her eyelids fluttered open to you hovering over her.
wednesday's brows furrowed a bit, taking in the scene above her. your t-shirt from the night before was gone; one strap of your bra hung loosely at your arm. you still wore your fuzzy pajama pants, but that didn't make you look any less lewd; especially with your hair a mess and dried blood looking like smeared lipstick on your lips.
"shit- sorry!" you yelped, practically tumbling to your side of the bed.
you grabbed a nearby blanket and used it to cover your face, afraid she'd see the blush tainting your pale skin.
"what were you doing?" she questioned with a shaky morning voice. it was honestly adorable.
through the plush throw, she heard a small, "trying to check the time."
then, she noticed. around this time of year, class starts at the break of dawn. through the window, muted sunlight cast a spotlight in the middle of the bed.
slowly, she turned to the phone on the side table a few inches from her. picking it up, the electric device confirmed her fears.
"... it's ten past eight."
"fuck," you cursed to yourself, throwing off the blanket and climbing toward the edge of the bed. the devil was hard at work today as the sheets caught on your ankle; trying to save yourself, you grabbed onto wednesday's thin arm as an anchor.
unfortunately, she wasn't expecting the added weight. you both crashed to the hardwood floor, a loud thump following the collapse of sheets and pillows.
wednesday propped herself up, noticing that her fall was cushioned by your body. white bed linen covered the spectle, though she could still see you under the thin fabric.
you looked up at her, adrenaline keeping your eyes wide open. she was poised above you with the sheet hung over her messy bed head. the entire world that surrounded you was white, wednesday's hair and pajamas a dark contrast to the colorless dimension.
then, you laughed. big, hearty laughs that made tears prick at the corners of your eyes. wednesday was bemused, unable to understand the joyous action despite the trouble they would soon be in.
"s-sorry," you said through the laughter, "it's just- we really are screwed aren't we?"
wednesday didn't quite grasp what was funny about this situation. regardless of her confusion, she still couldn't help but soften the tension in her expression at the sight of such a pure reaction.
sitting up, you removed the sheet from her head. wednesday sat with her knees on either side of your legs. you smiled at her, a sense of content corroding your heart.
the smile made wednesday feel weird. an uncomfortable thought circulated in her head:
why can't i stop staring at her?
you stood, offering the brooding girl your hand.
"hurry to your dorm, we can't arrive at the same time or people will notice," you said, ushering her towards the door and unlocking it. wednesday walked out into the hallway, heading toward ophelia hall.
before she made it to the end of yours, you stuck your head out of the open door and said, "see you later!" then clicked it shut.
she stood there for a moment, looking at the place you'd just been.
she slapped a hand onto her mouth as a smile dared to creep up to her lips; the word 'later' definitely made that sentence an unspecified invitation.
all these mystifying thoughts put her in a bad mood as she walked towards her dorm and the scolding she'd soon receive from principal weems.
> > >
when wednesday made it to her first class, it was already fourth period. it was actually a period she shared with you; she might as well not have, though, as you sat on the opposite side of the room.
dozens of eyes were trained on her as she opened the classroom door.
she scanned the students, looking for one in particular. finding you in the far right corner, she noticed that xavier was your seat partner. she'd never seen him sit with you before.
why would he randomly sit with you now?
"... ednesday."
the voice of her fourth period teacher faded into a discernible sound as she was pulled from her thoughts. she moved her eyes to the, now fuming, educator.
"are you awake or are you just sleep walking, miss addams?" she mocked, shaking her head.
wednesday said nothing. a couple students chuckled as the teacher continued to berate her for her tardiness.
you stood out of you chair to protest, "she was helping me study last night, it's not her fault."
the teacher snapped her neck towards you, pointing a jeering finger in your direction.
"don't try to defend her miss (l/n), especially when you're only a few minutes earlier than she is."
you wanted to say more, but you puffed your cheeks in frustration and slumped into your seat. wednesday was surprised, not expecting you to hint to the class that you shared a relationship deeper than classmate acquaintances.
as she headed to her desk with silent steps, she didn't miss the hand that xavier placed on your back. he leaned towards your ear and whispered something, causing you to giggle.
and this continued. throughout the entire lecture. xavier would whisper something and you'd laugh. he'd write something in his sketchbook and you'd smile in response.
wednesday had never experienced a class period with such an uncomfortable prickling in her stomach. every time xavier interacted with you, she wanted to reenact a guillotine execution with xavier as the beheaded.
she was used to being in a sour mood. this was very different. bouncing her leg, she continued to stare daggards towards your desk. even without an artistic ability, she sketched out the execution, fully intending on handing the artwork to the boy who occupied your attention.
the ring of the dismissing bell was like music to her steaming ears.
before she could walk up to you, xavier seemed to have swept you off into the hall of bustling students. murderous intent emitted around her as she stomped after you.
waving xavier off to his next class, you turn to see wednesday with a scowl tarnishing her pretty face. a look of concern graced your features.
"uh, you okay wednesday?" your question came off awkwardly, unsure if she'd even respond.
her stare was intense as she asked, "since when were you and xavier best friends?"
the question threw you off guard. why would she care?
"we've always been friends, sort of. he just came up to me today and asked to sit in the vacant seat, so why not?" you replied.
wednesday's frown had basically turned her into a ball of negative energy, more than usual. most of the students has already entered their classes and the hallway was abandoned.
she took this opportunity to grab the tie of your uniform and pull your face close to hers. it wasn't a harsh movement, but definitely bold.
"come to my room tonight," she ordered, her usually dreary tone dripping with jealousy that you couldn't identify.
you shook your head, "what about enid?"
without a second to spare, she replied, "I'll make sure she's somewhere else. meet me at midnight."
with that, she released you and headed toward her next class. you were in a daze, unsure of how to feel. then the bell rang, and you practically ran a marathon as you sprinted to class.
> > >
these shenanigans continued over the next couple of weeks.
whether it would be in your room (which she now learned you shared with yoko), wednesday's dorm or the greenhouse full of carnivorous plants, each space was used as a haven for your private affair.
since drinking this much blood would leave wednesday in critical condition, you now mostly pierced her skin and nothing more. she didn't mind; the act itself was enough to leave her mind soaring.
what she did mind, though, was how much closer you were with xavier outside of these performances. she almost felt like a fuck buddy hidden from a relationship, without the actual sex. it's not like you shared physical contact with xavier like you did with wednesday, but she envied that you could show him off like a trophy and not her.
of course, you knew none of this. during the sessions, she would say close to nothing; maybe comment on the makeup you wore that day or how the investigation on the hyde was going.
neither of you spoke about the make-out session from weeks prior; it was an unspoken flaw in your complicated friendship.
all of this came to a head the night that wednesday caught you in the courtyard crying, with xavier as your savior.
she hid behind one of the pillars, eaves dropping despite thing motioning her to leave. she slapped him away, trying to listen.
sniffles made up a great deal of what she heard. then, she finally heard you say in a shaky voice, "i don't know what to do. my feelings won't change."
she made out the sound of shuffling -maybe a hug- and xavier's comforting words, "i know, it's okay. i'll help you understand them and i'll be here when you need me."
wednesday's veins were boiling rivers. all this time, despite her fighting against it, she knew she was falling for you. the way you carefully held her; the way you always cleaned up the wounds left behind by your fangs.
each were acts of kindness that melted wednesday's frozen heart. as she listened, she felt frosty walls cage her emotions once more.
thing tapped her shoulder again, silently begging her to leave. this time she didn't smack him away. this time she listened.
> > >
with the pun fully intended, your meet up days were usually wednesdays.
tonight was scheduled at the greenhouse. you prepared early, wanting to surprise wednesday. your good health was all thanks to her and you wanted to repay what she had done for you.
the room full of deadly plants looked like a halloween party. although it was getting close to christmas, orange and purple lights hung around the arboretum, illuminating the space with vibrant colors.
you bought a couple of those creepy taxidermied animals from the hippie shop in jericho, hoping to give them to wednesday as gifts.
as you looked at the space in excitement, wednesday marched to the glass house with the intent to break off everything your relationship had been built on.
you could hear the crunching of her heavy boots outside. giggling, you turned the lights off and hid behind one of the many rows of plants. when the mossy door swung open, you flicked the light switch on.
wednesday's coal colored irises reflected the bright hues as she took everything in at once. the gifts wrapped in black cellophane, the small pillow fort set up in the corner, your smiling face.
she didn't understand. you were with xavier. there's no reason for you to do nice things like this. the confusion angered her further and she looked at you with burning eyes.
"no more, (y/n)."
your happy expression fell off your face as you processed her sharp words. confusion replaced it.
"wha- huh? wednesday, what do you mean?" you asked, walked over to her.
she stood her ground, knuckles turning white as she gripped the sides of her trench coat, "i don't want to do this anymore. there's no point when you have a companion like xavier. you no longer need me," her words came out like a rehearsed speech.
the many questions written on your face disappeared with understanding.
"you think xavier and i are together?" you questioned, quirking a brow.
wednesday's knitted together in return, "he's always with you. how could i not?"
you placed both hands over your mouth, trying not to burst out laughing. she really was too cute.
"are you..." your voice wavered, restraining a giggle, "are you jealous?"
she straitened a little at the accusation.
"of course not."
your fangs flashed with a huge smile as you took her in your arms, practically crushing her, "you totally are! you're jealous!"
she shook her head vehemently, squirming from the hug. you refused to let her go. though wednesday was stiff in the embrace, she couldn't help but fight against the urge to hug you back.
slowly, she stopped wriggling. your smile fadded a bit, but you didn't stop holding her.
"i'm sorry," you said quietly.
"what for?"
you sighed, "you've done so much for me and all i've done is hide away you and our- uh, relationship?"
you pulled away from wednesday, holding her by the shoulders as you looked into her eyes that swirled with uncertainty.
"what- what are we?" you ask.
she opened her mouth, eyes looking to the ground. nothing came out.
"i don't know."
"wednesday, we kissed. you kissed me. i know we've been avoiding this, but- you know what, why don't i just tell you why i've been spending so much time with xavier."
now you had wednesday's full attention. sitting on the floor, your hand wandered to hers. she allowed you to intertwine your fingers; her cold skin a welcome sensation against your own.
taking a deep breath, you began:
"the day we were late for class, xavier's seat had been taken as he was late as well. when he sat next to me, he noticed blood on the side of my mouth. he notified me, but i was horrified. my mind went many places. for some reason, i thought he'd figured me out. even if it wasn't you that he thought i'd done it with.
so, i slipped him a note that said i wanted to talk to him. he'd always been someone i was friends with. just not close, y'know? so, since there was no pressure if he judged me for my actions, i told him everything after school.
i think he knew i was nervous. that's why he kept trying to make me laugh. it definitely helped, even though i still felt like i was going to puke. that's probably why i avoided your gaze the whole period, i felt guilty."
wednesday leaned in a bit, tilting her head, "what reason would you have to be guilty?"
you tried to smile, but it looked to awkward to be natural.
"because.. because i came out to him. i've never told anyone that i'm gay. honestly, i don't know if im bi or lesbian or whatever. i just knew- well, i knew that after that night, i liked you. so, i told him and it ended in a strong bond and maybe some overprotectiveness on his part. i'm really sorry for avoiding you so much, and treating you like this, " you finished, your features sullen as you picked at a weed growing through the crack of a floor tile.
wednesday had no idea what to say. she wanted to keep being angry and to leave so she'd no longer continue to feel such complicated feelings; instead, she knotted your fingers together in a tighter connection.
"i- i don't understand myself. i tell myself i want to leave, but deep down, that's not what i actually want. it seems i want- no, i need you. it makes me yearn for the electric chair in my bedroom back home," she stated, a rare tint of affection bleaching her words.
she liked the smile that rose to your face as she spoke.
with everything out in the open, wednesday decided it was finally time to be truthful with herself and what she desired.
"let's do it again," she said, moving to her hands and knees as she crawled over to you.
"this time," her words practically slurred, "i'm going to be taking a bite out of you."
she placed a hand on your chest, pushing you carefully to the ground. her body creeped over your own, black braids brushing your eyelids.
"what do you mean-" you tried to ask, but she leaned down and kissed you to end the query.
the neckline of your oversized t-shirt was big enough to stretch to the side, exposing your own neck to her. you wanted to say something, anything; but you were too dazed from the small peck she left on your lips.
she leaned down, breath fanning over your ear as she whispered, "this may hurt a little."
a line of saliva began at your ear lobe to the base of your neck, connecting to your collarbone. you whimpered a little, unable to see the smirk that curled at the edge of wesnesday's mouth.
she loved the control she had over your body; this was a new form of torture that she was unacquainted with but adored all the same.
wednesday wanted to see your neck with a matching bite mark. she knew xavier was innocent in this, but she still wanted him to know that you were hers. normally this would irk her. for now, it excited her beyond words.
her teeth nipped at your nude skin. whenever you would sigh with want, her teeth would bite down a little harder. the noises you made tested her restraint.
you now understood why wednesday loved the way you tainted her; cloud nine wasn't even close to how you felt. every part of you was aching for her.
looking at the hickey she had made, wednesday admired her work. seeing you come completely undone under her touch put all her feelings into perspective; she wanted you and only you.
your hands cupped the sides of her face, guiding her lips to connect with your own. the kiss was wet and loud, even wednesday releasing quiet moans.
hands tangled through hair and fangs mixed blood with teenage lust. your legs circled her waist while she hovered over you in full control.
retreating from the kiss, wednesday's eyes matched yours with a similar glaze. she wanted to rip off your shirt and ravish you, never having felt sexual desire before.
her fingers tugged at the hem of your pajama pants. she pulled them off with your assistance. you felt embarrassed by the nude skin exposed to the frigid night air.
her long lashes tickled the insides of your thighs, sending waves to your core.
"i love you," you breathed out.
wednesday looked up from between your thighs, something sexy and sinister in her eyes;
"i'm quite smitten with you as well."
her head dipped down once more.

> > >
> > >

-Feeling Better (pt 2) -
pairing: xavier x reader
word count: 1.96k
warnings: none :)
desc: after the events of Just a Few Scratches, you're released from the hospital and confess your feelings to xavier. then you confront wednesday :D
a/n: i think i will probably do wednesday x vamp!reader next by my friend's request. we all know wednesday loves a little pain :)
Tumblr media
xavier wanted to plan a whole 'welcome back' party the day you were discharged from the hospital, but he knew you'd still need rest to recover.
the blood loss from a week prior left you with dizzy spells; he hated seeing you so weak, knowing you're in this state because of him.
as he sat in his paint shed thinking these thoughts, he smiled to himself. if you heard these internal worries of his, he thought, she'd totally say something like "xavier, i did it because it needed to be done and wednesday was out of line blah blah blah."
so, he opted to get all of his friends to sign a card. he even drew you on the front, making sure to remember to animate it when he gave it to you. the art was of one of xavier's core memories: he dared you to sneak into the greenhouse near the school, late at night. when he pushed through the foliage of the forest to see you standing next to the glass doors, he recognized the shirt you were wearing. it was a t-shirt of his that he'd let you borrow when he 'accidentally' flung paint on you during a play-fight.
the night he saw you there, fuzzy pajama pants matched with his own t-shirt, he knew his feelings had grown far beyond friendship.
he hoped this card would maybe, hopefully show you how much he cared about you.
during the card signing process, he had to fight with enid when she made the argument that, "she's my friend too so i also get to write her a long message!"
she did not win that battle. this would be xavier's card with small 'get well soon' and 'we missed you' notes from people you knew.
he really wanted you to love it.
when the fated day came that you were allowed to be discharged, he got some flowers and made sure the card was looking the best it could. some of the words in the card may have eluded to some of xavier's non-friendship feelings; his nerves were going haywire.
> > >
saying goodbye to the doctor, you headed out to the lobby. god, you were thankful you no longer had to wear that hospital gown. if xavier saw you in that ugly ass thing one more time, you might as well just dig your dignity a grave and let wednesday enjoy the funeral.
the hyde had left large gashes from your shoulder down to your elbow. much blood had stained xavier's uniform that night; something you'd already apologized countless times for.
the transition from the glaringly white hallway to the lobby illuminated with warm light was a welcoming change. and there was xavier, a smile decorating his face when he saw you. he had a small boquet of a wild flowers that grew near his shed, tied together with a pale purple ribbon. even if the gesture was small, it made you want to run up to him and squeeze him tight out of pure impulse.
"did you really hand pick these?" you questioned, trying to tease him a little. he didn't notice as he pridefully stated, "of course, my hands even had that weird sticky plant blood on them when i visited you. remember?"
you snorted, "why didn't you wash it off?"
he looked to the wall, "i didn't notice until i was already at the lobby." you couldn't tell if this embarrassed him or not.
"hey, come with me, (y/n). i want to give you something, but not here."
xavier grabbed your hand, leading you with great care. the caution he used was adorable.
the small trek to a bench at a nearby park was a little straining for you; something xavier didn't fail to take note of. he made sure to ask how you were doing and offered his shoulder if you needed something to lean on.
then, he pulled out a (fave color) envelope, sealed with a little red heart sticker that you recognized as enid's.
gazing at xavier's face, you never would have guessed that he was practically screaming on the inside.
gently taking the gift from his hand, you carefully opened it. inside was a card.
pulling it out revealed a moving drawing of you, smiling under the moonlight.
you remembered that night. vividly. you could instantly recall the way xavier chased you through the many flowers of the greenhouse, threatening tickles if he caught you. that blissful happy feeling was something you'd never forget.
this boy has given you so much to remember in just a few months. xavier may be snarky and a tad bit rude at times, but he's treated you with so much respect and kindness; how could you not fall for him?
the words of the letter made your stomach feel like it was twisting in knots; it said:
(y/n),
it was stupid of you to risk yourself for my sake. i know I've already said that to you, but i felt i needed to say it again. however, that doesn't mean i don't appreciate what you did. i haven't talked to wednesday since before the morning you found me in the hallway, but she hasn't confronted me at all after you were on temporary leave.
i am so insanely greatful for you. after i broke up with bianca, you spent every moment of your time making sure i was mentally stable. never once did you expect something in return. and here we are, again, with your arm fucked up without any demand for even a small thank you. well, i hate that. i want to do so much for you, return the kindness that you've given me the past few months. you're so important to me. please, please don't do anything like that again. and thank you, for every second you've dedicated to me.
yours,
xavier
by the end of the card, you started to cry. you placed a hand over your eyes to shield xavier from your weeping, turning away from him.
"oh- are you okay? did i say something wrong?" xavier's voice was laced with a weariness that you couldn't describe. you felt his knee graze yours, guessing that he probably scooted closer to you.
"no, no. actually, the opposite."
you sniffled a little, trying to compose yourself.
a slight breeze blew xavier's brown hair out of his face. though you loved his long hair, you most enjoyed it when his face was in full view. he's so pretty.
"this- this letter, i.. xavier, i love you. when you're nice to me like this, i can't not love you. you make everything so amazing but so, so hard at the same time," you cried, both because you were happy to get it off your chest and the fear of changing the perfect friendship you shared.
xavier held you, placing his head on top of yours, rubbing your back. "i'm sorry, (y/n). thanks for dealing with my shit. i love you too. i realized my feelings a while ago, i'm just bad at this sort of thing," he said quietly.
the rustling of the trees above dropped vibrant leaves around the bench. red, orange, yellow, gold.
you were happy about his response to your confession, but something bothered you. with his reciprocated feelings tangled in your thoughts, a hard shell of protectiveness encased your heart.
"xavier, wednesday hasn't apologized yet for any of her accusations?" your question came out in an irritable tone.
he shook his head, "it's fine. she probably understands now that she was wrong and is just embarrassed. as long as she leaves me alone, i don't care anymore."
your brows knit together as you pulled out of the hug and looked at him. xavier, this kind boy who's given you a home at nevermore.
"well i'm gonna get an apology out of her."
as you stood up, xavier did too.
"no, seriously. what's done is done, it doesn't bother me, " he protested, hoping that you'd listen to him.
placing a hand on his arm, you said, "i didn't have a meeting with the hyde just for her to go into hiding when she's wrong."
and with that, you stomped your way to nevermore, xavier following behind to make sure you don't faint in your fury.
> > >
wednesday was experiencing deja vu. hadn't she already experienced three knocks interrupting her time to write? though, this time the knocks held an echo of animosity.
a sharp click to unlock the deadbolt and there you stood, arms crossed in wrath over your chest.
"i see they released you from the psych ward after your suicide attempt."
you almost wanted to laugh. that was so like her.
"so, do you have anything to say to xavier?"
indifference etched her features, "why would i?"
she really was talented at stretching people thin. xavier stood close behind, watching the interaction with a hand on your shoulder as moral support.
"is it really that hard to apologize when you're wrong?" you bursted, forcing your hands into fists to control them from tearing her apart.
"wednesday, enid was with xavier when i was attacked! and look," you grabbed his hand, "now we're dating! he would never hurt me."
"how do i know that you didn't team up with xavier? if you're allies, i wouldn't put it past him to use you as an alibi."
her words of idiocy made you explode.
"you- i know what you're doing is supposed to be good, but all you're doing is hurting everyone around you!" a furious finger full of hostility jabbed her in the center of her ribs, "you may be emotionless but that doesn't give you the right to be heartless! i went out there and almost died trying to keep you from ruining xavier's life! the least you can do is fucking apologize!"
your heavy breathing filled the empty sound of the hallway. it was impossible to tell if your words affected wednesday; she just stood there with her hands at her sides like always.
then, like a miracle, wednesday turned her eyes to xavier's and said, "I.. I am.. sorry."
she stepped back and closed the door with a gentle click. knowing wednesday, that apology was probably just a tactical retreat to diffuse the situation. at least the words had been said, though.
heaving, you let out a long sigh. arms circled around your shoulders as xavier rested his head on his forearm, hugging you from behind.
"are you okay?" you whispered to him, not wanting wednesday to hear through the, albeit thick, door.
"I love you," he stated.
you smiled, trying to shake off the lasting nerves after raising your voice.
"that's not what I was asking."
you felt the vibrations of a small chuckle on your neck. "you do so much for me, of course I'm okay," xavier mumbled. his voice was hushed but you could hear the smile in it all the same.
thank goodness the halls were empty, or you never would have been able to stay in this position if someone happened to be out here.
"i'm so glad you're here with me (y/n). I can't imagine where i'd be if you didn't exist", the sincerity of his voice made your throat close up with an unidentifiable emotion.
despite your fatigue, you didn't regret a single thing you've done for him if it meant you'd get to hear him say sweet things like that. his scent of teakwood laid a veil of comfort over your senses.
turning towards the end of the hall, you say, "let's go. I can feel wednesday's brooding mood through the door."
xavier smiled and let you lead him, "as long as you're feeling better."

-Warm Light-
pairing: xavier x reader
word count: 2.73k
warnings: none :)
desc: when xavier sees your ability to glow, he gets a lil crush and y'all have a sleepover :))
a/n: my friends bully me because all i did today was write this 👊
Tumblr media
had you been a normal child, life would have gone much differently. your emotions wouldn't get outed by your very skin; every boy you've liked wouldn't instantly understand through your illumination.
no matter how much you tried to control it, your flesh seemed to have its own conscience that made its own decisions.
your skin glowed. bright, radiant lemon or sometimes just a comforting, somewhat dim gold. this curse had embarrassed you more times than one should be mortified in a life time. a malediction passed on to you by a higher being with unknown intent.
so, there came a time when the bullying was too much. it was never violent, there were no harsh words spat in your direction. you tried your best to be nice to every classmate.
it was the isolation. a metaphorical twin of suffocation; you had no friends and never once held a romantic partner. no one wanted to get close to you, either wierded out by the power or didn't want to be associated with it.
in the end, nevermore was inevitable. no one paid any attention to you in the beginning of your enrollment; all eyes were on you, however, once you gleamed like a beacon during a school assembly after someone's hand brushed your ass.
that's how you met enid and ajax, and in turn, wednesday. you could tell she was perplexed by your ability just as the other two were, but she never gave into her curiosity. they made you happy.
you had some control when it came to your ability; you could "turn it on", as enid would say, whenever you wanted. you just couldn't flick the light switch off when you became a human light bulb.
but night time in dark hallways was the perfect place to practice, especially the halls of nevermore where moonlight was scarce and pitch blackness was abundant.
with a snap of your fingers, you'd illuminate the narrow corridor; another snap, and sometimes the light would go away. most of the time it just stayed on until you were randomly plunged into darkness.
as you continued this, you came upon a dead end. there was a large, looming figure in front of you but it was impossible decipher what it was.
with a snap, you tried to get a better look. nothing.
you snapped again and the blackness continued. by now your eyes had adjusted enough to understand that the figure was an antique statue; however, curiosity got the best of you and you needed the statue in full visibility.
to anyone wandering these shadowy halls at night, these random clicks may have made for a good horror story at a slumber party.
in frustration, you snapped your fingers a few times in attempt to get your skin to brighten when you heard a loud click.
then, low rumbling within the walls in front of you.
your body took this as the perfect opportunity to become a floodlight, revealing that the statue was now gone and a large set of stone stairs spiraled into mystery.
even this school is a goddamn oddity.
you sighed, knowing that this meant you'd have to go down the stairs or this scene would haunt you to your grave.
the first step you took was hesitant. no booby traps, no arrows flying into your chest. is this safe??
the decision had been made to enter, so with more confidence, you descended the twisting staircase.
you feared that your light would dissipate, but continued on until you saw a circular library holding old, dusty books.
"... hello?" you whispered. there was no one you expected to answer, but you were weary of the volume of your voice anyway.
"hello?" you asked again, this time with a bit of wavery confidence.
then, someone stepped out of a hallway to your left. someone tall, wearing a costume-like robe.
"jesus, can you please put that flash light away? you're blinding me," the figure complained, covering their eyes with a comically large sleeve.
you tried to dim the lights a bit. surprisingly, your skin successfully emitted a soft golden glow instead of the headlight it was before.
when you did this, you could make out that the figure was, in fact, a boy.
a very cute one.
"was- was that your body that scorched my eyes?" the boy asked with intrigue before backtracking, "wait, sorry, wrong question right now. who are you and how did you get in here?"
you laughed a strained laugh, wringing the hem of your skirt in your hands, "uhm, yeahhh. i was- i was just practicing my, uh, glowing and happened to somehow make a statue move? i don't know, i'm probably as confused as you are."
you were nervous, afraid that you had happened upon a cult that would cut you up for finding their secret lair.
the boy studied you for a second, then stepped forward. you could see the details of his face a little better when he did this. man he's cute.
the room may have been dark, but your light cast shadows on his face in all the right places. he was taller than you, and he may not have had a conventionally attractive face, but you were nevertheless starstruck.
he gave an awkward, but adorable, smile.
"this is the hideout for a secret society called the nightshades. there's really no point in hiding it since you already know about it, though you can't tell anyone you found this place, " he explained, running a hand through his shoulder length hair.
"oh, okay, then i definitely shouldn't be here. i'll get going."
you hurriedly began for the stairs; a small tug on your sleeve stopped you from going further.
"wait, wait," the boy protested, "can i get your name? just, y'know, for future reference."
you snorted, "what would you need my name for in the future?"
"many things," he grinned.
"also, i wanna see your... light?" he said for lack of a better term.
you dropped down from the step you currently stood on so you were once again on ground level with the boy.
"i'll show it to you in exchange for your name."
he crossed his arms, "but i asked you first."
"maybe, but im the bargainer here. deal or no deal, " you stated, stifling a laugh.
the boy placed his fingers on his chin to feign consideration, saying, "you give a tempting offer."
you raised your brows to ask so, deal or no deal?
he let a grin spread on his face, "fine. xavier thorpe, that's my name. can i see the light now?"
xavier. what a cute name for a cute boy.
you gave an obviously exaggerated sigh and tried to make your skin glow a little brighter. holding out your hand, you let him examine your abnormality that brought you to this school.
xavier's hazel eyes glittered with wonder as he ran his hands over your candlelight skin.
beginning to feel embarrassed, you pulled away with a faint blush painting your cheeks.
"anyway, i- i should go," you mumbled, feeling too bashful to stay there any longer; your skin may glow again as it did with every boy that piqued your interest and you'd had quite enough of that and the reaction the boys would give.
you could tell that xavier had more to ask, but he kept his queries to himself and allowed you to ascend the stairs.
"oh," you began, halfway up the stairs, "and my name is (y/n)."
when xavier heard the wall at the entrance of the stairs close above him, he wandered to the step you were standing on when he touched your warm, illuminated hand.
"(y/n).. " he whispered to himself, a small, innocent smile painted on his face that was hidden by the darkness.
> > >
after that day, you noticed xavier in the halls much more often. he was even in your third period class. how have i never noticed?
xavier would catch up to you on your way to different classes, talking about whatever came to mind. the company was new and unusual, but not unwelcome.
after a little while, you were able to call him your friend. your best friend, even.
it was friday, the weather outside was abysmal as rain streaks on the windows beside you cast odd shadows on your desk.
it was a quiet study hour instead of the usually rowdy third period debate class.
there was a small tap on your shoulder, so you turned around to feel the brunt of a small folded paper hit your forehead.
"ow..." you whispered to yourself, frowning at the offender. xavier presses his lips together to keep himself from laughing and pointed at the floor.
looking down, you found the little weapon sitting on your book bag.
you gave him a really? are we in middle school? look, but picked up and unfolded the tiny note anyway.
inside were crudely written words that said:
hangout at the paint shed tonight?
you couldn't help the smile that stole your expression, giving him a small thumbs up. the little invitation left you giddy; you could already feel your skin beginning to warm with a warning flare.
xavier retaliated with a gracious smile. god, he's so adorable.
now the school day was going to take forever.
> > >
"xavier, what is this?"
the art studio now looked like a girl's room after a slumber party. there was a thin foam mattress in the middle of the wooden floors, decorated with many plush pillows and knitted blankets. snacks covered almost every empty surface that wasn't occupied by art supplies. there were even fairy lights hung above the makeshift bed, giving the room a comfortable and inviting appearance.
xavier looked proudly at his work, "i just thought, since we rarely get to spend more than an hour together, that we could have a little- uh, sleepover."
looking at his embarrassed blush, you burst into a fit of giggles.
"i didn't know we were middle school besties. did you ask your mom?" you jested, covering your mouth to attempt to suppress the laughter.
xavier noticed your skin begin to emit it's usual glow that he adored, but he feigned frustration as he crossed his arms. the blush on his cheeks became a fiercer shade of scarlet.
"sorry, sorry. i know you worked hard on this, thank you," you grinned, wiping a tear caused by your outburst.
"so, what did you want to do first?"
the question left xavier quiet. there was a very specific activity he wanted to do, but he was afraid the very question would reveal his true feelings.
"do you- uh, do you remember the first time me met?" he questioned.
you nodded, "of course. how could i forget the night that i burned my image into your poor pupils."
"well..." he began, "ever since then, i've wanted to paint you. with that glow, it'd give me insane practice at lighting with acrylics." and you're insanely pretty and i want to watch you glow any time i wish.
he didn't add that last part, though.
the request forced the dim luminosity of your skin to radiate a brighter light.
just seeing you like this, xavier melted. ever since the first day he felt your light touch his skin, everything about you occupied every corner of his mind.
each time he walked with you in the hallway, each day you sat together drawing, he felt himself falling for you a little more.
tonight those feelings turned him into a tight envelope of emotion ready to burst, his wax seal already cracking.
you looked down, "okay then."
xavier could tell you were embarrassed but quickly grabbed his paints. tonight he would paint a masterpiece.
> > >
the whole process had been difficult, what with you laughing every time he made his concentration face and him playfully scolding you not to move.
"do you ever sit still?" he asked, almost finished.
"do you ever concentrate without biting the inside of your cheek?" you shot back.
he squinted his eyes, "touché."
you were about to giggle again, but restrained yourself to avoid more reprimanding.
finally, with the acrylic still drying, he was done. "do you want to see it?"
you breathed out, "i don't know. i'm scared."
xavier put a hand on his chest to feign offense, "and why would you be scared?"
"uhm, cuz- because i'll see myself through your eyes."
the room went silent; you could even hear one of the shed's lightbulbs go out.
"what does that mean?" he questioned, putting down his brushes. you shook your head to avoid the topic, dismissing him, "nevermind. forget it, i don't even know what i'm saying."
he pushed on, "no, seriously. do you think i see you in a bad way?"
"no- it's more like i'm afraid you won't see me in the way i most want you to."
xavier knew exactly what that meant. considering the way you brightened the room every time he was in it, he guessed that maybe you felt the same; but here was some (hopefully) solid proof. this was it: the opening he needed.
he lifted from his stool, walking over to you and guiding you to the flimsy bed he had put together.
when you both were laying down, he turned on his side to look and you and you reciprocated.
"(y/n), you- god, how do you not see? i feel like im pretty obvious, even if i don't physically glow every time i see you," xavier began, moving to prop his head on his hand with his elbow using a pillow as support.
"well i'm sorry! if i could control this damn ability i probably wouldn't even be here," you said defensively.
he back tracked, remembering he can be a bit rude at times, "no that's not what i meant, sorry. what i mean to say is that i look at you as if you hang the stars in the sky. when we're together i can't rid myself of a stupid grin that plagues me even after we've parted, and though i enjoy it, it sure makes my cheeks hurt. "
you laughed at the last comment and he felt warmth in his stomach. "well, i literally glow when i see you so i think i win."
"i didn't know this was a contest of affection," he teased, moving a bit closer.
"it's not, but i want a prize anyway."
both if you knew what you were suggesting, xavier just needed to take the initiative to do it.
he leaned over you, your back pressed to the soft foam beneath.
the moment his lips touched yours, a bright white light exploded in the room.
he pulled back, an uncomfortable tingling sensation rising to his face.
"did you just...?"
"oh my goodness," you gasped, reaching for his now sun burnt face.
"i-i'm so sorry! i didn't know i could do that!" you were mortified. you've ruined everything. you burned the first boy you've ever kissed.
then came a chuckle, along with full blown laughter. xavier rested his face in your neck as he continued to laugh.
"i can't believe the first time we kiss i get sun burned! that's so adorable!"
the word adorable wasn't how you would describe it, but you smiled and went along with his positive reaction.
"god, I'm so in love with you, " he blurted out of pure affection.
another snap of light almost caused xavier's eyes to dry out of his head, but you luckily covered his face just in time.
"please xavier, " you stated, your whole body a beacon of light that lit up the room, "no more of that. i'm literally going to cook you alive."
xavier laughed. he was fine with that, as long as you and your warm light were his.
> > >
-extra-
the both of you lay on the bed, sprawled across each other.
"i want to give you a pet name," xavier stated matter-of-factly.
"you can do that if you enjoy a 24/7 sun burn, " you laughed.
"hmm... " he stared at the ceiling, deep in thought, "i've got it!"
"and?"
"my little glow stick."
you gave a horrified expression, "xavier no, do not call me that."
"aww cute little glow stick," he teased.
"bro stop."
you spent the rest of the night smothering xavier with a pillow.

a/n: anyone who plays this game is depressed and a masochist
Tumblr media
jumin's happiness is gone. it had fallen out the window and splattered 60 stories below.
he didn't even want to look. he was going to puke. vial acidic liquid crawled up his throat like a demon as he fell to his knees.
it was all v's fault. he distracted jumin. no. you know why this happened. it's all because she couldn't understand the tangled threads inside him. it's because i didn't know how to love her properly. it's all v's fault. it's my fault. if only she understood him. if only i'd let her go.
jumin wiped brown fluid that dripped down his chin; the stain forever imprinted on his thousand-dollar suit. he would never get it cleaned.
v was yelling and people were screaming outside, but jumin understood none of it. the sounds phased together, his eyesight went fuzzy. tears? have i ever cried?
as a child, maybe, but this was different. those tears were shed for broken toys; these were for a vanquished love.
he began to stand, wobbling. v tried to help him up but jumin slapped his hands away, as if they burned him. he couldn't even look at v, or her, or anyone.
as he stumbled his way to the nearest elevator, he began to cry. first it was a few silent tears, then salty streams slid down his cheeks until he was sobbing.
heavy, throat filled sobs that made him choke on the saliva bubbling in his mouth. the elevator music felt patronizing. he sobbed harder.
when the elevator made it to the lobby, he could already see the crowd outside. how dare they make her a spectacle?
he began running for the automatic doors. they opened far before he made it close, as if a small gesture of pity for what he was about to see.
his vision was blurry and he saw red. red on the sidewalk, red on the plants outside. red on her clothes.
jumin crudely shoved people aside. he could already hear the wailing sirens of the vehicle that would pronounce her dead.
his first thought upon sight of her was: she's beautiful.
he could not see her face, and he did not want to. jumin knew it wouldn't be the face he fell in love with. it probably wouldn't be there at all.
he felt the threads that she had unraveled begin to fester and tangle once more; only this time they were so entwined that he felt they would snap.
the memories of what happened next were hazy. crying, sobbing, weeping, wailing. petting skin that was dangerously cold. threatening people with a stretcher.
v watched jumin cry, his expression unreadable as jumin could not make it out through his tears.
once the people had stolen her away and jumin was sat back in his penthouse, the world felt deadly quiet. everything he looked at was grey. grey bed, grey closet, grey hands. these grey hands held hers only a day before, when her skin was warm.
if only there was a reset button.

-Just a Few Scratches-
pairing: xavier thorpe x reader
word count: 4.36k
warnings: injury/blood
desc: you get injured trying to solve xavier's problems for him. silly you :)
a/n: im having a field day writing all my fic ideas :)) can't decide if the next one will be another xavier or wednesday
edit: pt 2 is now posted! 🦭
Tumblr media
"fuck, fuck!" xavier yelled, sprinting across the field of pine needles before him and leaping over bushes and rocks.
cold sweat dripped down his flushed face; he could feel tears sting the back of his eyes. xavier felt like he could puke as he ran, but only one thing occupied his mind:
"(y/n)!"
> > >
-5 hours prior-
“are you doing okay, xavier?" you ask with worry. after class you had to stay late to ask the teacher something, so it was a surprise when you found xavier sitting on a bench in the hallway with his head in his hands.
he jolted. looking up, he seemed tired. really tired. you noticed the purple bags under his eyes and the way his breathing appeared to be unsteady.
xavier tried to smile, but it instantly fell off his face when he met your gaze. he bit the inside of he cheek to keep salty tears from spilling out of his eyes.
"I... " he began, but it came out as a strangled sob.
the sight of his pitiful state filled you with worry, and you picked up your pace as you sped over to him.
standing in front of xavier, you ask, "have you been sleeping? you look like a wreck."
xavier laughed at this, quickly wiping away a tear that dared to escape, "yeah, i know. I'm just.." he looked down, "I'm just really stressed."
you stepped closer and he pressed the top of his head to your stomach, refusing to look at you as he loosely wrapped his arms around your waist.
you began to move your hand to pat his head, but hesitated. "can i...?"
without hearing the rest, xavier said, "please."
this consent allowed you to weave your fingers through his hair. "do you want to talk about it?" you asked in a low voice, afraid that somehow, despite the hall's vacancy, someone would hear this sensitive conversation.
he was quiet for a few moments, considering his words.
"it's... wednesday. i'm so, so tired of her- of her blaming me! always saying i'm a mass murdering monster! it fucking hurts and she keeps finding new evidence that genuinely makes sense, " his voice is strained as he tightens his hold, "but i can't do anything to convince her it's not me. and she even found my art studio, which just makes me look worse."
seeing him like this made you want to cry, but you restrained yourself because this wasn't about you; this was about xavier.
"i'm so fucking scared that she's going to get me locked up. i can't even blame her- all of the evidence points directly at me! and these nightmares, they plague me in my sleep and i wake up screaming and then i can't go back to sleep so i've just been painting that fucking thing so i-" his rambling is cut short when he hiccups through his frustrated tears. he felt angry and hurt and afraid.
you leaned down to hug his head, pushing his face into your tummy as he sniffles. "i'm sorry, xavier. i wish there was something i could do."
xavier looked up from your (now wet) shirt to say, "just listening is enough. don't worry about it, hopefully everything will fix itself soon."
and as he rested his head once more, an idea came to you.
there's a way to help xavier.
> > >
three knocks and wednesday was ready to order thing to strangle the person at the door.
she lifted from her desk, about to tell off the perpetrator for interrupting her writing time. when she opened the door, however, she recognized you as the person that xavier constantly follows around.
"enid isn't here," she said point blank, beginning to shut the door. you stick your hand out and risked amputation to make sure it doesn't close, "actually, im here to see you."
wednesday narrowed her dead eyes, "go on then. explain."
"i need to know where the hyde's lair is."
wednesday's facial expression didn't change, but you could tell she was confused.
"why don't you ask xavier? he would know."
the fake smile that you wore to feign being nice dropped. instead, you replaced it with a tight, irritated line on your lips.
"haha, yeah, i would. yknow, if he were the hyde. but here i am, asking you. why do you think that is?" you said all this with a lighthearted tone through clenched teeth.
wednesday could read the passive aggressiveness of your words but decided to press on, "try looking at his gallery of police evidence. that would give you the answer you're looking for."
with that, the door closed and you soon heard the sharp clicks of a type writer. you knew she was talking about xavier's art studio, but he hasn't allowed you in since people started dying around the school.
you decided that the only way to enact your plan would be to sneak into the renovated shed. sneaking in you could do, but distracting him for enough time to find something was completely different.
fuck, this is gonna be hard.
> > >
in the end, enid was your best bet. your plan was for enid to ask him for help on a subject and get him to tutor her for a bit in the library.
she agreed immediately, hoping it would also make ajax jealous; it was a win-win situation.
though, when she asked, you would not tell her why you needed her to do this in the first place. she was skeptical but trusted that you were doing it for a good reason.
finding the studio was easy, you had been there so many times that you knew the trail like the back of your hand. you were xavier's rock after his breakup with bianca, so it made sense that he'd commonly invite you to paint with him in his secret hideout.
when you made it there, you took no time to begin searching every single art piece for a deeper meaning. xavier mentioned that he was having nightmares about the foretold monster, but wouldn't allow you to see the art "for your own safety".
there was nothing of value on the walls and canvases, so you turned to plan b.
you bent down to the trash, fishing through it, hoping you'd find something important. about ten pieces of paper had been uncrumpled by the time you found something worth your dumpster diving.
"there it is!" you excitedly whisper-scream to yourself.
it was a drawing of the monster in front of a familiar cave. though its name and exact location eluded you, there was someone who would know those exact details.
later, after asking eugene if he knew anything considering you'd seen him working alongside wednesday on the investigation, you set the final steps of your plan in motion.
it is here that you will find out who the hyde is, if only to relieve xavier of his stress.
> > >
"enid, we've gone over this topic, like, ten times. i think you're just a lost cause," xavier said in exasperation. he had been attempting to teach enid the different geometrical formulas but she hasn't understood a single word he's said in the past two hours.
xavier, giving up, grabs his phone off the library table to check his notifications.
"huh, that's weird."
"what?" enid asked.
"(y/n) hasn't texted me. usually she'd have sent several messages asking to hang or something by now," he frowned, his expression a dark overcast.
enid, feeling something was off, finally broke, "uhm, well, (y/n) kind of asked me to distract you. im not really sure what for, but she did mention something about an art studio?"
xavier's heart lept in his chest. "what?"
"yeah, sorry, i felt she had a good reason but now i'm a little worried, " enid replied with an awkward laugh.
he wracked his brain for any reason that you might have had to go to his studio. a surprise? was she curious about the paintings i wouldn't let her see? why would she need to sneak around to do it?
instead of searching for an answer that wouldn't come to him, xavier stood from the table, gave a small "thanks", and left the library in a hurry.
at the studio, he found nothing amiss. none of the paintings were gone and nothing had been moved.
that's what he thought, however, until he saw the trash can laying on its side in the corner of the room. kneeling, he sifted through the scattered, unfolded papers.
his eyebrows knitted together in further confusion. what is missing?
then it hit him:
the drawing of the hyde's lair.
xavier didn't know exactly what you were up to, but he knew with every fiber of his being that it was definitely dangerous. he was absolutely terrified.
the doors burst open as xavier ran out of the studio, an unwelcome gust of wind blowing many of the drawings off the walls. at that moment, he couldn't have cared less.
a mirage of trees passed him by as he sprinted. the nighttime autumn air was far too cold for the season.
"fuck, fuck!"
the words were strangled and every noise around him felt muffled; all he could hear was the crunching of the leaves beneath his racing feet and his own hammering heartbeat.
"(y/n)!" he shouted, the distress in his voice echoing back at him.
xavier slowed to a stop, unable to tell where he had gone in his desperation to find you. he took a second to breathe when a shrill scream sounded from an unknown direction.
the scream of a girl. a girl who was horrified, or worse, in danger.
and he would know that voice from anywhere. it was someone familiar; someone close to him. the person most important to him.
"(y/n)! where are you!?" he yelled in response, but the forest had turned into something akin to a funhouse mirror maze and he couldn't tell left from right.
xavier heard footsteps running toward him at a high speed, and just as he began dash in the similar direction, you came into full view.
pain spread through his chest as you slammed into him, sending you both crashing to the moist soil beneath.
you were laying on top of him now; shaking with labored breaths.
it rook a moment for xavier to process what had happened, but he wrapped his arms around you with little delay.
"you- are you okay!? what were you doing!? are you stupid!? there's a fucking monster on the loose and you-"
he shut his mouth when saw a steadily growing red patch on his shirt.
"you're bleeding! oh shit, we need to get you back to nevermore fast," he was quick to hold you, your body laying bridal style across his arms.
you winced in pain, sobbing out the words, "i'm sorry. i'm sorry xavier, i just wanted to help. i really wanted to help. i'm sorry."
xavier didn't give a shit about your apology. he wasn't mad at you. he was mad at that thing that hurt you. he was fucking furious.
he had many, many things to say to you but for now, he'd let you rest in his arms.
he then headed back in the direction he had come from, you now tucked safely in his embrace.
> > >
once the final stitch was in, xavier was allowed to visit your hospital room.
the bright white lights made him feel sick. even more so when he saw you sitting in bed with a hospital gown and an IV drip in your arm.
the moment he walked in, you gave him a warm, content smile.
"is right now really a good time for you to be smiling?" xavier questioned, sitting on a seat next to the bed.
you held the hand that he placed on the edge of the sheets, "well, i was able to achieve my goal."
"at the cost of several pints of blood and a couple scars on your arm? what was worth that?" he asked, unrestrainable anger surfacing on his face.
though, when he took in the finer details of your state, he couldn't help but soften. many scrapes graced your skin from the collision earlier; the complexion of your face much paler than normal.
rubbing his knuckles to ease his frustration, you say, "i was able to convince wednesday that you're not the hyde. how could she believe that out of all the people you could attack, you'd attack me?"
something clicked in xavier's head and it all made sense. this all started after his breakdown in the hallway, caused by wednesday's meddling. the sneaking around, stealing his drawing and going off into the woods.
"so you did this on purpose? you scared me half to death!" he bursted, his emotions a flurry of love, anger, and guilt.
"so what if i did? it's just a few scratches."
god, he loved you. could you believe he had yet to even ask you out?

-The Rave'n-
>wednesday x fem! reader :)<
>in which wednesday was asked to the dance by tyler, but you wanted to invite her first<
>i am quite down bad<
Tumblr media
she hated the fact that you didn't invite her. she also hated the fact that she wanted to invite you.
now, wednesday is stuck going to the rave'n, which she didn't want to go to at all, with tyler. she told herself that the only reason she'd like to go with you is because you were her confidant; someone she trusted during her investigation. out of everyone, you were the only one who immediately believed her about the hyde and wanted to help.
plus, you were a girl. if she went with you to the rave'n, it would obviously be as friends. obviously.
when wednesday arrived at the dance, she was disgusted with just about everything she saw. so much white. absolutely abysmal music. why hadn't she just ignored tyler's request and joined eugene on the steak out?
lot of eyes were on her. xavier's and bianca's, most notably; but the pair she wanted to see her and her dress the most weren't there.
then, when she went to go get drinks, she looked up and there you were: velvety black dress that dragged on the ground with a matching translucent veil. looking as if you were ready for a funeral. and as if, maybe, just maybe, you wore black to match the color you knew that wednesday would also wear.
even though she hated everything in that moment, what wednesday hated most was that she wasn't there to escort you through the entrance; that people wouldn't get to see you two together. and that very thought scared her.
she wasn't like her mother. she wouldn't have kids nor would she fall in love.
well, if i were with a girl, i wouldn't need to worry about the kids part.
she couldn't help but externally scrunch her face at the thought. why is she even considering being with anyone?
then she noticed that there was no one by your side. you were alone, and your ability to turn invisible made your form waver from visibility to invisibility while nervous.
it then made her remember your reaction a few days prior when she told you that she'd be going with tyler.
the way your face dropped and the way your visibility wavered; something she'd noticed you do when emotional.
then, the words you said after, "i probably won't be going anyway, the person i want to go with already has a date."
at the time, her thoughts were so consumed in the investigation that she hadn't really thought about those words or even the conversation as a whole. it was insignificant a few days ago but now it had her mind racing.
why was she so upset? had she wanted to go with me?
again, her thoughts angered and confused her and it made wednesday clench her jaw.
"woah there wednesday, you're gonna break those glasses."
the words directed at her pulled her out of her thoughts and she noticed tyler had crept up next to her.
"oh. tyler," her monotone voice hid a hint of irritation.
"are you okay? you went off to get drinks, like, ten minutes ago," tyler said with that annoyingly awkward chuckle of his.
"no. there's too much white. my corneas are burning."
tyler gave a weird smile and held out his hand, "do you want to dance? everyone's on the floor right now."
wednesday flickered her gaze from tyler to the spot you once stood, now empty.
"fine."
her short, snappy reply made tyler's smile waver. wednesday failed to notice as her eyes scanned the room on her way to the dance floor.
where did she go? doesn't she want to dance?
then, her thoughts were interrupted by a dancer near her as they bumped shoulders, almost losing her balance. she was about to snap a neck when the offender mumbled a small "sorry", barely audible amongst the music, and dashed away.
the offender was wearing black; a black dress to be specific. the dress was also floating in mid air, without a body to encompass. (y/n).
tyler finally caught up to wednesday, out of breath. "man, can't you just slow down for a second-" and as he was about to complain a bit more, she didn't even glace at him as she, too, stepped from the floor full of partying students and ran in the direction (y/n) went.
with uncontrollable agitation and slight exhaustion, tyler yelled "wednesday, why did you even come with me if you were just gonna ditch me time and time again?!"
but she did not hear him, and if she did, she didn't care enough to respond.
when wednesday made it to the gold-lit hall, she could feel the small tremors of the music reverberating throughout it's walls.
her stoic face held indifference, yet in her head, that couldn't be further than the truth. her normally organized thoughts swirled with confusion.
everything came to a head when soft weeping emitted from a floating dress perched on one of the many velvet love seats.
wednesday had yet to make her presence known, but didn't know what to say or do. she had never been good with emotions, to put it lightly. she was absolute shit, would be a better way to describe it.
she would open her mouth to say something, anything, but words would not form. this happened a few more times before she became frustrated with herself.
clenching her fists, she took a step forward in her uncomfortable heels, "... (y/n). "
your form flickered for a moment as you looked up to meet her gaze. she saw your face for less than a second but didn't miss the dark streaks of mascara on your flushed cheeks.
"a-.... are you okay?" she managed, feeling as if saying those simple words were one of the hardest things she has ever done.
"fine." you replied, wiping at your eyes with a black sleeve.
wednesday took a step closer.
"you're invisible."
your form was visible once more, this time for longer. she could now see the frustrated expression on your face.
"you don't say," was all you could muster.
in the following silence, wednesday took it upon herself to sit next to you, noting the way you moved your knees away from her.
"if you're upset about not having a date, i do not understand why you're angry with me-"
"i'm angry at everything! this dance! tyler! and you!" now you were standing, your form in full view as your face reddened with fury.
"this stupid guy bumped into me and his fucking drink fell right on my chest, and tyler knew i had a crush on you and asked you out anyway, and you," a black painted fingernail now pointed in wednesday's direction as she swallowed your outburst, "i know you're not the best with feelings but i thought maybe, just maybe, you'd get the hint that i want to go with you! and even if you did, you put the stupid hyde investigation before my feelings and chose tyler instead. i can't tell what's worse, the fact that you were oblivious to my obvious feelings or that you didn't care at all!"
now there was a thick, silent tension between the two girls and the sound of the electric beats from the next room over were making you feel like you were about to implode with each second that passed by.
wednesday sat on the love seat, her hands clenching her dress as she processed the information given to her. you wanted to invite her to the dance. tyler knew you liked her.
she likes me?
through your blurried vision, you could see wednesday.
she looked as emotionless as ever. except for the twitching of the right side of her lips. and maybe the small glimmer in her usually dead eyes.
"damn it, tyler," she said under her breath. of course he had to make my life more miserable than it already is.
then, wednesday thought:
fuck it.
she lifted a bit off the seat to reach your arms and pulled you forward. it was a bit of an awkward move, forcing you to fall forward and brace yourself by putting one hand on each of the armrests.
her obsidian eyes were inches away from yours, and her lips even closer. she still held that look as if she couldn't be bothered by this whole situation. yet, her actions spoke much louder than her expression ever had.
then wednesday's cold hands lifted to your face, her fingers just barely grazing the sides of your cheeks.
"i give you this opportunity, and you don't even take it to kiss me?" she asked, a small, sadistic smile spreading to her face. her hands seemed to guide your faces even closer.
inside your anger subsided. what pushed forth was a strong desire to grab this girl and never let her go.
lifting a knee onto the soft cushions to keep yourself from falling on top of wednesday, you took her pale face in your hands and leaned in.
wednesday felt a heat in her stomach as your lips touched. she felt her face grow hot, a newfound feeling that made her hold your face a little tighter. she felt happy; and that scared the shit out of her.
she kissed you deeper, taking you by surprise. as you both held the sides of each other's faces, it seemed like your bodies couldn't be close enough.
then, when in need of breath, you pulled away.
"suffocation would have been acceptable just now, honestly," she said, letting her hands now rest on the back of your neck.
you cracked a smile at her attempt at a joke, though you weren't sure if it really was one or not.
just to poke fun at her, you ask, "so does this mean that the invincible i-have-no-feelings wednesday addams likes me back?"
her eyes narrowed and she heaved a sigh.
"...yes. that may... be true. "
she said it as if it pained her to admit, but you just shined a brilliant smile, forgetting that you had been yelling at her in pure anger a few moments ago.
you got off the seat and held your hand out to wednesday, "now, let's go find tyler so i can beat his ass. got anything with you?"
wednesday allowed herself a small, twisted smile.
"my hand mace."

-mystery girl-
>all sentences in italics are lyrics from a song called mystery girl by james holt!! :)<
>pining xavier x wednesday<
>i love him T_T<
Tumblr media
between the drum of the rain, heard a beautiful sound
in the dorm he now shared only with himself, xavier's eyelids fluttered open to the sound of a serenade. he lifted himself from the covers to get a better listen. outside, he glimpsed a steadily moving figure. xavier opened the large window. he was greeted with cold, wet air that stung his cheeks.
a song drifts in the dark and no one around
the song floated to him from a window not far from his own. he smiled at the familiar silhouette illuminated by the half-rainbow window behind her. it was wednesday.
i never heard anything as lovely in my life
her bow kept a constant pace as it brushed against the cello's heavy strings. her melody was dark and brooding, but to xavier, it was a gothic masterpiece. his eyes stayed trained on her form. her details were missing due to her far proximity, though that didn't matter to him. her song was beauty enough.
and you, my mystery girl
though he knew little about wednesday, he couldn't help but let his gaze wander to her every time she was within sight. xavier wanted to know everything about her. everything and anything.
with every single note that you play
the chrous of her melancholic melody began to pick up once more. each note was euphonious. he couldn't resist drinking the dark liquid of the cello's sound.
i bet you never knew how happy you make me feel, how happy you make me feel
while the mood should have been anything but positive, xavier felt his chest tighten by the serendipity of the scene. he was the lucky one who got to witness her perilous performance.
with a pen in my hand, traced the melody line
without much thought, a canvas and his paints were already in his hands. wednesday played with fervor and xavier painted with a matching intensity. dark acrylics painted in the same bass clef that inspired them.
then as if she'd known that her tune would be mine
the tune slowed and dropped off to reverberate in the cello.
and in an air wariness the music died away
the silence afterwards left xavier's paintbrush hanging in mid air. with no time left in her act, she and her cello quickly dipped into the opening of her two-toned window and she was gone.
and you, my mystery girl
nothing had changed in their relationship within the twenty minutes he spent painting, yet he felt like he understood a whole new side of her. a side only he lay witness to.
with every single note that you play
each night followed a new stage enactment. xavier used each performance to fill in small details of his portrait. every new note on her singing cello was another brush stroke on her acrylic face.
i bet you never knew how happy you make me feel, how happy you make me feel
throughout the school days before the nighttime sessions, xavier would feel a giddy impatience. he wanted to show her his work. show her his adoration. he refused to admit his work as such, though.
you, don't depart
then, for a while, with his work nearly complete, wednesday stopped. no mist of familiar melodies to meet him on his balcony at midnight. no inspiration to help finish the painting that he's revolved his sleep schedule around for the past two weeks.
please forgive me
had she seen him? felt uncomfortable with his uninvited viewings each night?
i meant no harm
the disappointment of the unfinished portrait swallowed him whole. xavier felt like he'd never paint anything as enchanting again.
and you, my mystery girl
all was solved on a night a couple weeks later. once more, he was awaken by the song he'd longed to hear again. xavier stumbled over himself to collect his paints that he'd discarded onto his desk a few nights prior. tonight he'd finish his magnum opus.
with every single note that you play
tears collected at the corners of his eyes. he restrained them. nothing was going to slow his lightning fast movements, each monochromatic brush stroke putting together the final pieces of a puzzle.
i bet you never knew how happy you make me feel, how happy you make me feel
joyous euphoria he'd never felt before erupted in his heart. she was beautiful. both the performer and the muse. when he looked up from the canvas, he thought he met her obsidian eyes for nothing more than a single second. xavier smiled.
"my mystery girl."
