I have a question about Cinders, the dragon, is she also a background character from the show? Or you made her yourself?

She’s real! She was one of the background dragons Ember had heating up the dragon eggs! Her color scheme spoke to me and I decided to make her the Spike stand-in, over a more conventional choice like Ember, Mina or the like.

Good question! Especially since these two are the only Mane Six who would largely have a similar dynamic to canon because they knew each other as kids.

Fluttershy felt bad for Rainbow Dash at first, though Dash never took the prestigious job of Chief Weathermare to Ponyville seriously it seemed to upset her to lose her position and have to go back to being a regular weather worker.

It didn’t affect Rainbow Dash’s quality of life or anything, it was more of a pride wounded situation. It might’ve been unimportant in the face of constantly practicing to be a Wonderbolt, but being replaced and demoted means she’s not the best - she didn’t take this job seriously until she lost it. Fluttershy knows that being the best at what she does means a lot to Rainbow and was always willing to listen to Rainbow Dash vent.

… Which is when she started to wonder to herself “… Hey, Rainbow, do you fancy your replacement just a little bit?”

Even if she doesn’t, and Fluttershy goes back and forth on whether she thinks the vitriol is homoerotic or just normal exaggerated RD shit talk, Fluttershy finds it amusing that Rainbow Dash has all this smoke for just a nice girl. Sunny Rays just exists and Rainbow Dash has to talk to Fluttershy about all the aggravating shit she does like ‘Say good morning’, ‘literally just do her job’ and ‘keeps adjusting her dumb hat’

Attempting to create reference sheets for Honey so that physical Honeycrisp merch can one day be mine! Not bad for a first pass I think, though I always find Honeycrisp tricky to visualize in a 3D way. I know how she's meant to look, I just find it hard to keep her consistent... you can see in this gif that it isn't perfect and yet here we are! Attempting to give it a go! Maybe I'll get better!

so this is more a question about the au then an art suggestion but did Celestia actually drop Twilight or is Twilight just projecting her issues and misunderstanding the situation

It’s a little of column A and a lot of column B. It is definitely mostly Twilight projecting her issues and misunderstanding the situation…

Yet truthfully, Celestia had to divide her time between two students now, she’s developing a relationship with Minuette and there have been times where she definitely prioritized Minuette.

By accident!

Cause to Celestia, she's making up for lost time with Minuette and trying to know the wielder of the Element of Friendship. They don't have as much of a relationship as Celestia and Twilight so you can see why Celestia thinks it makes sense to make knowing Minuette a priority.

However when you consider that Twilight put so much value in being the faithful protege of Celestia and had years of her undivided attention, you can see why suddenly it feels as though she's being replaced. She truly isn't, but just because Celestia isn't replacing her and never considered replacing her, doesn't mean she made an effort to help Twilight feel like she wasn't being replaced.

... she didn't know she needed to. Twilight never came to her with these issues. Besides, Twilight is taking it out on the wrong pony. She doesn't even blame Celestia that much she blames Minuette for the perceived manipulation of their timeline.

Rarity actually has a decent friendly relationship with Ditzy due to frequent deliveries to her shop and helped her with giving her hoof-me-downs of baby Sweetie Belle for baby Dinky - so the two are quite friendly and I could have drawn that…

… She also is down bad for Sea Swirl and I chose to draw that instead!

Sea Swirl is studying to be a doctor, she is close to having a whole doctorate in marine biology and yet she has line cook rizz. So she will flirt with Rarity when passing through Ponyville and Rarity melts like a marshmallow.

What inspired Ditzy Doo's Bubble Envelope Cutie Mark? It honestly so creative, pretty, and well...cute!!!

The iridescence - effect honestly reminds me of those SpongeBob Bubbles!

Glad you like it! I was inspired by the idea of Ditzy having a cutie mark that ties into her Element (that she delivers cheer!) and of course the AU is meant to take the existing background ponies and their traits and just give them a main character makeover! Ditzy is iconic so especially for her I wanted to make sure she had all her particular identifying traits - her wall eyes, her bright blonde hair, her bubble mark - while just making her design as if Hasbro wanted her to be a main character instead of her ascending to mascot status by accident!

So I came up with bubble envelopes! Delivery aspect + Original concept! Plus, I thought it could be a fun way to pull more colors in since even giving her a bit of brightening, she is still the one with the most understated coat in the Swap Six - I did, in fact, reference the Spongebob bubbles, I find them very pretty!

Cinch had three charges in her care once, Celestia entrusted her with the day-to-day care of Prince Blueblood, the new Princess Cadence and her student Sunset Shimmer - running a kingdom is difficult enough alone without three young ponies to look after - so when Celestia is absent (often) that means Cinch was in charge of these three ponies. And while the matron of the castle was always rigid about rules and wanted her three charges to uphold her reputation and to build their own budding reputations high, she cared about them very much. You'd have to, spending your time with the same three young ponies for so long, guiding and teaching them to be their best...

By the time Ditzy came into the picture, Cinch was down to two charges. She refused to fail them the way she failed...

Well, with one down, there were two left and she cared so much she wouldn't let anyone ruin them, especially not themselves. Surely they would come to realize Cinch was only helping.
