Every week I'm like "Ugh why is it sauwr hard waking up for Shacharit Shabbat if only I like focused on spending my Friday night unplugging, centering myself, and making sure I go to bed early, so that I wake up well rested and recharged after a long week, if only there was like a routine I could follow to optimize breaking myself out of this it's the weekend mindset and prepare myself for worship!"
And then I'm like "......wait 🤔😬"

"What is hateful to you, do not do to others, the rest is commentary, go and study"
Hillel the Elder
"Then when G-d asks [Cain], ‘Where is your brother Abel?’ he arrogantly responds, ‘I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?' In essence, the entire Bible is written as an affirmative response to this question."
Rabbi Joseph Telushkin

Absolutely amazing how AO3 is a part of the internet that doesn't sneak in any ads and doesn't have an algorithm and doesn't watch you or record how much time you spend looking at each fic or whatever. It's just right there to use for free. Legend

academic bias is so funny because you’ll be reading about the same historical event and one person is like “Despite the troubles that befell his homeland and near constant criticism of the court King Blorbo remained strong in the face of adversity” and the other one is like “after letting his people carry the brunt of his cringefail decisions Blorbo the Shitface refused to listen to any reason and continued to be a warmongering piece of shit. Also he was ugly.”

everyone: what's your goal in life?
me: to write a story so soul snatching, so gut wrenching and so devastatingly beautiful that it leaves you crying at 3am when you have a 8am lecture/shift and it inspires people to write entire essays, to write entire fanfics, mood boards and playlists based on it.

Sometimes you're gonna see a really stupid post and you're gonna have to keep your mouth shut online but you can always say "Shut the fuck up dumb fuck" out loud, they can't hear you when you do that.

i’m alive somehow i’m sorry but chalk my absence up to my annual autistic rewatch of the entire Fairy Tail series because it’s for some reason become a very comforting yearly summer tradition for me and after octobers events i shall be GRASPING onto anything that brings me any small crumb of joy or pleasure 😇😇😇😇😇🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

how come when JACOB wrestles with a man he gets a blessing, but when I wrestle with a man I’m “displaying inappropriately aggressive behavior” and I “have to leave this Build-a-Bear”???

Okay, goyim, gentiles, folks…until you learn what the terms Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi actually mean, you really need to stop using them. Because at this point they’re mostly being used as shorthand by goyim for western racial/national/ethnic identifiers, and…they aren’t.
Ashkenazi doesn’t mean “white/European.”
Sephardi doesn’t mean “Latino.”
Mizrahi doesn’t mean “Arab.”
Not only are these uses inaccurate, and they are, but trying to flatten Jewish cultural signifiers into weird racial/ethnic labels is absolutely unhelpful to any conversation.
Sincerely,
A Hispanic (Mexican/Genizaro) Ashkenazic Jew

Black Friday is such a joke nowadays. “Don’t miss out on 30% off” don’t piss me the fuck off. People used to hit each other over the head for a microwave that’s how low the prices were. People literally died. We used to be a country

every time someone asks me about my perception of death i always think about that painting with the mother and baby and the gentle spirited woman with a sickle (instead of a scythe, implying a gentler hand) standing over her shoulder sympathetically.
