Adolphus // {Cass's Epilogue}
Cassidy left the asylum in less than a year. She abided by the asylums rules, and didn’t break the law. She never touched drugs again, and remained sober for the rest of her life. Because she was 18, and had missed most of highschool, she didn’t get her diploma and didn’t go back to highschool. However, she followed Maddie’s advice and went and got her GED.
After that, Cass didn't really know what to do with her life. She worked here and there, knick knack jobs like working in restaurants, or at retail stores. It wasn't until a couple months later when she got a call from Alice, asking her for her help with an idea, that things finally started to click.
Alice had gotten her license as a therapist, and she wanted to open up a halfway house/group home for girls looking to get away from a life of poverty, abuse, drugs, and manipulation, and find a way into the better world. She knew she couldn't do it alone, and Cass had the experience of being on both sides of the story.
With the funds from Brody, Cass was able to go to college and get the social working training she needed, and the two opened up the place. The place was a huge success. Though it started off slowly, it soon became flooded with girls looking for a better life.
Though she never had any kids of her own, Cass helped Alice raise Alina. Neither of them ever married, because they realized they didn't need a husband-- they needed each other. Their friendship was stronger than any relationship they'd ever be able to build with a spouse, and they both knew it.
Maddie got out of Parkwood shortly after Cass did, and then two stayed in touch for the rest of their lives. Even when they couldn't see eachother, they always called and Maddie loved talking about all the kids she wanted and all the kids she later had.
And they all lived happily ever after.

"How is he doing, anyways?" Cassidy smiled, genuinely happy that Maddie had found a purpose for herself. It had always worried her that Maddie spent too much time trying to do or be something else, that she'd end up just a carbon copy of nothing. "I don't think I could do it right now.... I'm just afraid that I'd get hooked on it if I were around it too much, you know? But maybe if like... I gave it a couple years, went to school, got the training... maybe I could do some good...?" Cass nodded slowly. It actually did sound like a good idea, and she was surprised by it. Cass let herself fall back onto the bed, laughing a little harder than intended. "WE'RE crazy," she giggled. The older blonde let out a small sigh, then let the air fall silent for a moment. "I'm happy here," she said softly.

"I know, I know," Cass sighed. "You know you won't be one of them either, you know," she admitted honestly. Maddie always doubted herself, more than she should, but she was smarter than she thought too. Cassidy let out a small smirk, "Yeah, maybe an addictions specialist wouldn't be so bad.... after all, they seem to be short on them here," it was kind of a jab at Parkwood, but it was true; even when they HAD a specialist, she was never around. She couldn't help but roll her eyes and laugh. "And here I am thinking maybe we're NOT crazy," Cass sighed gently. "Yeah... I know I haven't always been the greatest friend to you... Maybe.... maybe I could find a way to stay here a bit longer?"
