So this week has already been the week from hell and it's only 9:12 in the morning on MONDAY. Not only did my work bestie and I spend all weekend dealing with emergency travel changes, we find out this morning that one of our other travelers never had their flight ticketed. For a flight they were already at the airport for. Ugh.

Kat hated to admit that she was surprised when Tig seemed to back her up -- to indicate he would back her and Jax when all this came to a head. He had done so much on Clay's orders. Had helped him stay in power time and time again. So what made this time different?

"As soon as I tell Jax what Piney told me...he'll be on board." Clay had no way out of this. No lie he could tell that would make it okay. And if he went after any of them, then that only corroborated the story. So Jax believing wouldn't be a problem. The laying low would be a problem. Might be best to send the two of them, along with their grizzly best friend off for a few days. Hide them away until the challenge could be properly issued.

Opie and Chibs. Neither of those surprised him. Piney would be a yes, that much is obvious. Even if he hadn't been the one filling Kat's head, he'd go along with his son. Tig himself would be number four. And it occurred to him that he had already made up his mind as to which way he would go. Knowing the secret was one thing. Being able to go against Clay was another.

"Be. Smart," he growled softly. It felt very weird being the voice of fucking reason for once. Considering how much he'd done because his emotions got the better of him. "You get Jax on board, the rest of the club will follow. Clay will not play fair if he's challenged and we will need to make sure we don't lose another Teller."

Kat appreciated that. She liked that Tommy was still in Charming. That she had both her brothers close. She'd miss him way too much if he were ever to leave.

"I used to be VERY into feeding the ducks, thank you very much. Or rather, you used to be very into it and I used to be very into going with you." She'd take Tommy to the lake. Watch over him while Opie and Jax performed stupid human tricks on their bike. Sometimes David Hale would come hang out with her and Tommy too. Back when they were all too young to care about what side of the law they were going to end up on.

Tommy had never had the feeling that he had truly belonged with the Tellers. Oh, he knew that he was one. It was drilled into him from a very young age, along with the part that he was a survivor with his heart condition. He didn't want to abandon his brother and sister, otherwise he would have already skipped town.

"You could get some from the diner, I'm sure they have some leftovers." Tommy volunteered as he smiled at his big sister. "I wouldn't give you the duck feeding type though... so peaceful." He chuckled as he held open the door of the diner for her.

What? Why would he ever be concerned? It was Opie. He was already her and Jax's best friend...the two of them trying out the whole dating thing seemed like the natural next step. A true merging of the Winston and Teller families.

With a shrug, she took a sip of her water. "School's school. I'm pretty sure the Vice Principal has it out for me."

He watched Kat as she sat across from her. "That's good." He said. He probably should be concerned that Opie and Kat were getting together, but there were worse people his daughter could get involved with. "And school how is that going?"
