Always been my sentiments too.

I'm glad Tessa and Mariah came back but also I kind of don't mind them not being on the show. I miss them, I miss their storyline but the writers obviously don't care about them.

They've been together seven years. I know they've technically broken up twice but they were back together by the end of the next episode, they don't count. I lost count of how many marriages and divorces have happened since they got together. Kyle's on the brink of his third divorce.

If them never being on screen means they inadvertently become one of the longest running steady relationships in soap opera history, I'm taking it.

It's ok for people to believe this is the best representation they've ever seen or seen in a long time it also doesn't mean they are taking away from those who paved the way. Taste and choice is selective The L Word helped to pave a lot of ways along with Queer As Folk they were bold and out right willing to risk it but at this same time I believe Warrior Nun is exceptional.

...So, we've been reading a few posts about how "Warrior Nun" is the best because it isn't like all the other queer shows, where apparently the queer couples have sex right away or non-queer shows that queer bait viewers, etc.

Let's just get something straight:

The original L-Word came out in 2004. That show was criticized for being too white, too narrow, too limiting in its depiction of gay women. In fact, it was mostly lesbians, and one bi woman (Tina) and most were femmes. Over the years, the show tried to course correct with the addition of other characters, most notably Max (Daniela Sea) and even that was fraught with controversy. At the time, Daniela Sea was interviewed about this and she had said (and we're paraphrasing here, that was a long time ago), that L-Word doesn't claim to represent all gay women, and she had hoped that there would be more representation of gay women, more movies, more tv shows to show the diversity, the variety, the spectrum of the gay experience.

At the time, pre-L-Word, there were only a handful of les/bi movies, mostly indie, some of questionable quality (there were a lot, we're not going to name names), some good (our favorite being "When Night is Falling" and "Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love"). On TV, we had "Ellen" which was groundbreaking and promptly cancelled, and there was "Carol the Lesbian" on "Friends", who was treated more as a joke, along with Chandler's trans-mom.

Cut to now - where we have so much more to choose from: we have period dramas with A-List directors and actors ("Carol", "Tell it to the Bees", "Portrait of a Lady on Fire"), we have shows on TV networks and online streaming platforms (tho the line between those are blurring). So we can watch Cyrano de Bergerac style movies ("The Half of It") or Asian American ones ("Saving Face") or pretty straightforward ones, really ("Imagine Me and You"), and though some, if not half or most series/shows have been cancelled ("Teenage Bounty Hunters", "I Am Not Okay with This", etc.), we still have more shows/series now that tell our queer stories than ever before ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "The 100", "Glee", etc.) and we still think that's better than the time the only thing we had was stories with only subtext to keep us company ("Fried Green Tomatoes", "Thelma and Louise", "A League of their Own").

So, whenever we feel like it's getting bad, let's also remember the time when queer stories weren't even mainstream, when directors and actors wouldn't even touch or go near our stories, when we didn't have as many allies in the industry willing to put our stories out there. A lot of our queer stories from before, though far from perfect, paved the way for stories like "Warrior Nun"to see the light of day. And we love that yeah, "Warrior Nun" is about a friends-to-lovers queer story, but that isn't just the one queer story that can be told. The diversity and complexity of the queer experience can hardly be encompassed by just one series and it's not fair to ignore or put the others down just because they don't fit what you like. We like that we have the more adult, they-had-a-one-night-stand-right-away-and-fell-in-love story of Kacy on NCIS Hawai'i, the sex-positive one of Leighton on "The Sex Lives of College Girls", the stranded-on-an-island one of "The Wilds", the vampire-and-vampire-slayer-falling-in-love narrative of "First Kill", etc.

So, let's keep celebrating the diversity and complexity of the queer female experience onscreen but still honor the stories that came before them. They may not have been perfect, hell, they were even problematic, but, again, at least we got these stories and our lives are better for it.

And let's keep pushing for "Warrior Nun"and other stories to keep getting made and renewed.

“Don’t let go. Don’t ever let go.” -Scott “I got you.” - Hope

This moment between Hope and Scott really got me when I watched Quantumania 🥺 I mean thinking about where they started from the very first movie — with Hope despising Scott, being against him, hating him to eventually liking him. It also made me realize how much they’ve changed each other’s life, for instance:

Hope and Hank would never have patch things up if it weren’t for Scott. Scott helped Hope realize what her father is doing for her, that he’s not shutting her out and he just protects her because he doesn’t want to lose her. And with their new “team” they were all able to work together, bringing Hope and her father closer together.

Hope loosen up a little bit though. Yes, she is still a badass BUT when she started being with Scott, she became more lose in some way.

Scott knows how to comfort her. During the moment when Hope was nervous/scared of seeing her mother again, Scott made a little joke (he always know how to lighten things up, aaa i love him sm🥺) and let her know that it’s not going to happen like that.

Hope learned how to trust again.

Scott really went out of his way to just bring her back —to bring everyone back really.

Hope is so proud of Cassie and supports her in all of her achievements even if Scott is against it.

Hope is step-momming Cassie now too and whenever she and her dad had a little bit of disagreement she kinda balances them, but she doesn’t interfere much but she’s there to help and support.

They became an awesome team.

AND OF COURSE SHOUTOUT TO THEIR WHOLE FAMILY BEING ALL SUPERHEROES?! I MEAN—

Bottom lineee seeing LangDyne in Quantumania made me believe in love again :))  I love where they are now, and they will forever be my favorite MCU couple (never taking it back) AND HERE’S TO HOPING WE’LL SEE THEM AGAIN… PLEASE MARVEL, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Tumblr is so chaotic.  Like, when I follow a wlw ship that is currently airing, I know every weird detail of what happens in every scene and on every social media site.  Then I find out today that this hot af actor who plays Jolene in Wynonna Earp and so delighted and terrified us all was part of the endgame wlw ship of Lost Girl and is a wlw in real life.  And I am like, wait, Lost Girl centered on a canon wlw ship?  WITH JOLENE?  JOLENE??? Why don’t I know that?  How could I possibly not know that?!?!  Why do I instead know that the actor who played Shay in Orphan Black was in that show?  Why this info today, Tumblr?  I am happy to have it, of course.  But why today?!?

I can't begin to express how underwhelming and disappointing this finale was I'm actually so damn hurt because of it. It started out so exciting filled with wonder and then they killed Anacostia.. They really went their he took A.N.A.C.O.S.T.I.A from us and I just went numb 😔 I think at that point I realized I would be left disappointed.

I've been complaining from S1 about everything coming back to The Bellweather family, I get it I do but why does it always have to be them? We know it's about the unit but you've expanded into core 4 or giving us that fake hope that Scylla is finally apart of that, but you make them ancient and she's nowhere to be seen? You ended #MotherlandFortSalem without a proper #Raylla scene the ship that literally kept this show a float as long as it did... I just feel profound disappointment

All this build up of Raelle ending the world the hunt for the final steward and the song and I'm just sitting there thinking oh 'this is it? That's all she wrote?' that was the moment the whole season was made for? So what was the purpose of killing Anacostia? There's no big through down with the Camarilla just spread the song? And again I'm sitting there wondering... Really? So Penelope killed Hearst and Silver? There was a whole load of Camarilla's around the world and that's that? 😳🤔

I finally thought they were incorporating Scylla as a whole to use her powers give us more flesh, use the bond she shares with Raelle from S1 she created her own seed she's linked to the Mycelium nothing nada 🤷🏻‍♀️ just hold up your wife and lie there waiting to be cured.

There was so much Eliot could've done he underused so much of his supporting cast I understand it comes back to the unit but there were much better ways to give characters more. However, thank you for not Burying your gays you got that absolutely correct but to not give the couple who's brought in so many fans a last moment also feels like a slap in the face

I can't remember the last time I've been su h a bundle of emotions omg so much happened in episode 9. From Raelle moving speech to Wade slapping a bitch, to a double wedding to chaos... Whew I'm a nervous wreck.

Going into episode 9 we knew from preview it was packed and the scenes literally felt like cut and paste go we had to fill in the blanks but it's obvious they're tying up all storylines and trying to reach a worthy conclusion.

President Wade walking in the way she did was everything I hoped and expected beating Silver at his own game on public tv which lead to the pardoning of core 4 (rightfully deserved) and a moment we all wanted... Badly.

I think I lost my voice when #Raylla finally got to the lighthouse my babies are so deserving of this moment it's what they've wanted for so long and to finally share it was so emotional but with our ship peace is a fleeting moment and chaos come knocking, I'm scared for the finale to be honest I wish we had more time to see them be wives to be at peace and find their way 🤷🏻‍♀️...

The wedding 😭😭😭. Edwin is such a beautiful human being he loves Scylla has his own and telling her to call him Dad and him dancing with his daughters 😭😭😭. When I tell you I bawled and been bawling whole episode this is not exaggeration

#Adigail 🗣️🗣️ deserve this too they've been a very solid couple from their inception and all through chaos they've been each other rock, I'm not a fan of shared weddings but in this case it felt like family sharing a special day together so I liked it both these couple deserve a MOMENT. A PAUSE. TO JUST BE. They've been through so much and they can't even enjoy their wedding night 😔

Listen here Sarah Alder you should've married Tally today too #Talder I get they aren't canon and yes, they were building Gregorio for Tally in S2 but after watching S3 and all that has taken place his presence and their romance just feels odd, out of character but it's neither the actor nor character fault its what's been giving to him.

Izadora... You beautiful brilliant woman I hope mother Mushroom take you into her blossom because it's where you belong, we will miss you

I'm not ready to say goodbye to this show or these characters especially #Raylla the finale is going to hurt me in more ways than one, I just hope it doesn't break my heart in taking any of them from me.

I know I've been MIA since Motherland came back but I've been watching every episode live but tonight whew I was cheering so loud. From seeing Scylla opening up about her past and protecting her people again to Alder and Khalida acknowledging each other struggles and surviving bonding as sisters to the unit kicking ass it was so much intensity and so satisfying... I wasn't sure how to feel about Thelma but when she ducked that attack there's nothing more sexy than a woman kicking ass

Scylla our necro she's grown so much she's learned so much her journey has evolved so much she found her home, the woman she loves she truly gave her purpose and a reason to fight and seeing her willing to go to any lengths to protect Edwin 😭😭😭 and seeing him getting mad next week telling her she's all he has left... He knows, Edwin knows this is the woman of his daughters heart, this is where she belongs she is his child and he will protect her as such its everything Scylla has ever wanted somewhere to belong and she found it will the Collars

Now listen here Alder is still the baddest bish in the game the scream I let out when she started kicking ass to Tally running to her side I'm going to need at lease a kiss I've been on this #Talder ship for a while now I only hope she's not a sacrifice by seasons end I really can't watch her die again.

Anacostia 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ I was never worried about you live but I've loved how the bond she and Scylla created in S2 is helping her survive because had she not spend time and learned some of these Spree ways she would've been trapped and at the mercy of been rescued but seeing the connection become fruitful really ties the show together
