Requesting good vibes, if people out there have any to spare.

I have a big important job interview tomorrow. I already made it through round 1, so this is make or break for me. The only thing that stands between me and a steady salary is me acing this presentation and interview. And I am TERRIFIED.

I've taken their personality test, I've made the slide show. I just desperately need them to want me. They seemed to like me at the first interview, but that means nothing, if I fail this.

I got a tumblr, it really was quite great

I blog about a lot of things, but mostly what I ate.

I thought it was a sweet gig, it really was quite cushy.

Then they went and banned me, ‘cause all I ate was pussy.

I hope every writer who sees this writes LOADS the next few months. Like freetime opens up, no writers block, the ability to focus, etc etc you're able to write loads & make lots of progress <3

Editing really be like "ooh this word should go here"...and then finding out I used that exact same word in the next sentence, deciding it still fits there better, and deleting what I just typed.

I also told myself that I wouldn't edit the story until I finished it (and there's like, 2-3 chapters left to write) yet here we are.

#tbh polishing up the first 14 chapters may help me work out the ending so (～￣▽￣)～

Get mad at me all you want. If I'll block you for generating AI visual bullshit, you can bet I'll block you if you write it.

It is bad enough that I have to "get over it" and "accept it" because it's flooding my field of work. I have been rejected in favor of generative AI creations for projects that could have helped my work be seen by a wider audience. What the hell makes you think I'm going to read your penny-candy-grade hogwash because you decide it's "contributing to fandom"?

I've read author's first fics that they've cringed at over time. They're not perfect, but they have intent. They had a reason to be made. The only intent that AI has is clout. That's all you want is clout for cranking out incomprehensible wank at a pace so fast that it pushes down actual works that people have spent their personal time working on. If there is anything cringe, it's about what you do, not the stories an author first wrote.

There are currently ~2300 works in AO3 tagged with "Created Using Generative AI"

I'll be upfront with my opinion, which mirrors my opinion in regards to my field: using AI will only hasten your own obsolescence. The point of fanfiction is not to crank out fics, but rather to enjoy the hobby and communities of writing and fandom.
