Cleaning up my verses!

HEY EVERYONE hope you’re doing good!

as i’m trying to return to tumblr rp for real this time, i cleaned up her verses a little bit. i initially made it pre-s2 where we didn’t know much, but that’s long since passed so i made a few minor alterations:

this blog’s default universe is post-canon for s2 of the anime. by default Towa’s default age is now treated as 15 due to natural progression of time and if she is attending the modern era for whatever reason, she will be enrolled as a first year in highschool

with native Yashahime/Inuyasha canon Towa cannot travel between eras by the end, but this is something i’m more than willing to easily handwave: Treekyo lets the Yashahime use the tree as a means to time travel more or less as a “reward” for saving the world. so while it probably wont’ come up much with other muses (i would love to explore the idea of Towa actively trying to find a way to the Reiwa), with most interactions this is easy enough to handwave as why she’s in the modern day for rp stuff

i still don’t have a dedicated modern au verse, but if i did it would likely just be related to the human AU

i still want to make a manga AU and will be working on that as I return to this blog! by default I p much characterize Towa as she is in the anime with some influences and traces from the manga, but having pure shounen Towa... is also good

The newest incarnation was also one shaped like a child. Not as young as Kanna, but definitely smaller than Kagura. A teenager, not unlike the time traveler.

Whether it was Naraku’s twisted way of ensuring her loyalty or some unintentional byproduct, the Incarnation meant to gather demonic energy was probably the one most loyal at present. After all, she was a good daughter. She would never betray her father.

“You... you promised...!”

“Yeah, yeah. Like you’re worthy of a jewel shard, anyways. You didn’t even get the hanyou alone like you were supposed to,” Towa scolded the former two-headed, now one-headed large snake yokai before her. It attacked the village on the orders given in hope of a shard of the Shikon Jewel as his reward. “You even went overboard. I thought I said I just wanted their livestock killed, not their men.”

(Maybe whatever Naraku had planned worked a little too well, though.)

“... Hm?”

Towa sensed something... powerful, but not youkai approaching. “... Oh...” She was in the process of draining the already weakened beast’s yoki but stopped at sensing holy energy approaching.

“... Hm. You’re the miko, right? It’s an honor to meet you, miko-sama,” despite it all, despite being an enemy, Towa gave a bow towards Kagome’s direction. “... This kind of works too, yeah...”

It wasn't something she liked to wear into combat anymore without risk of damaging it and the precious memories associated with it: but she still liked to wear it around casually, until she reached a point she outgrew it. Auntie was also in middle school, right?

But her scars were on display as she washed her clothes.

"Don't worry about it, mama," Towa tried to assure her with a rehearsed smile to comfort her mother. "They don't bother me-" except in those rare moments where she had this thought if Riku would find them ugly. "So there's no need to worry-! They're all healed after all!"

Just pretend they don't bother you at all.

"'Sides, most of them are dead already!"

She embraced her mother.

Just lie to yourself enough times until you believe it, that's it, that's all.
