And the day has come . . .
Intern presentations were today. I was nervous, but I think I did well. Glenn was there, so I was a bit nervous. Deb helped me improve my presentation and I have to say it looks amazing. Wednesday will be my last day. So, today is my last post.
I have had an amazing experience and I hope that I will be working for SJK in the near future.

So Monday and Wednesday, I worked on the same projects. I completed my Weekly Style Review and the Weekly Fast Sells. I began working on my intern presentation. It's a bit nerve wracking. Glenn McMahon, CEO, will most likely stop by.

Outlook
Email is my friend. I have my own email address at work and it's really cool. It's like I'm part of the team. My work environment is optimistic. Everyone is always in a good mood, and it seems like everyone loves their job. Deb was gone for Fashion Week and I was left with Stefanie and Katie. I am continuing work with the Special Events PK. I have creative control over that.
Another project I have going on is compiling style numbers, prices, colors, and descriptions. It's difficult because I have to look up the information on the line sheets, but it is also allowing me to become more familiar with the style numbers and the collections.

New task . . . learning.
I am also inputting images of the weekly fast sells onto Excel. The fast sells are tools that analyze why something is selling and why something else is not. It is not classified by collection, season, nor group. It's fairly easy.

AMM, SJK, and how they relate
Excel is a magical tool. All data is stored there, analyzed, and then composed into tables and figures. That data is then collected and made into a report such as the Weekly Style Review. The Weekly Style Review is an important tool to the company because it follows the best sellers, how much has sold during the week, and for what season. In AMM, we are taught about POS data and how it is used to evaluate sales. Carlos Porras, a fellow SJK employee, is in charge of compiling such reports. I had never encountered the actual use of data. I actually understand what they are all talking about :)

Intern Presentations
They are only like 3 weeks away. And the intern break fast is like a week away. The company tour will be AMAZING. I love my job.
Routine Weekly Style Review was done.
The Product Knowledge tools were finalized last week and now must be arranged together in binders. Stuart Weitzman catalogs will be part of the final result. I am tres excited to see the end result.

Purchase Orders Intro.
I am the buying intern. Duh. So it was only natural that the next step was to teach me how to input orders into the system.
Piece of cake. Right? No way, Jose.
It was difficult and I'm sure I made a ton of mistakes, but it was enlightening to actually input PO's rather than read about them in a text book.

Weekly Style Review and What Not
I have a case of the Monday's. Firstly, the traffic to OC is ridiculously bad, but I kind of like the drive there. I sit in my car with my thoughts and listen to music. I never knew there was a classical radio station.
So the Style Review has become my Monday routine. I go in the office, say hello to my bosses, and start my work. It is a very long job that requires absolute precision. I'm beginning to learn the style numbers and what they mean.
for example: K1150A1 K=knit 1=dress 5=season 1=group
I'm not sure about the other numbers.
