I managed to go to a Kura Revolving Sushi Bar recently, and I tried to buy the Spy x Family prizes (there was no way I was going to eat 15 plates of sushi needed to win a prize myself when I'm not a fan of eating fish to begin with) but they decided to just let me have them for free for some reason and I was assured that it wasn't a mistake. The prizes are listed on the menu, so it's not like you can't buy them. I'm not sure if this is a trend with them or if they just felt bad for me because I was alone or something 😅

Poor Bond must have a lot of trauma from being experimented on. We don't get a good look at the scientists here, but perhaps the devices in this scene will show up again later?

It seems likely that time hasn't progressed yet as I think there's a good chance that the thing about to be delivered here is Anya's dress. I guess I get to stress over whether or not Loid read Anya's lips in the reflection on the drinks he was carrying when she told Damien that she could read minds for another two weeks 😆😭

Okay, I feel like the odds of Martha formally working for Garden have gone up a bit this chapter

Given the context of this discussion, I think it's also possible she owned a dress to kill to at some point, and that that may be part of the reason she's laughing. I also think it's possible that she's laughing because she either currently is secretly seeing someone or because she used to date Henderson and isn't about to tell Becky that because she'd never hear the end of it. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility of her having a "roommate," but I think it's more likely that she used to date Henderson. Also, I do think there's a decent chance that Martha and Henderson attended Eden together and were sweethearts back in the day.

The main thing that is keeping me from fully embracing the idea thar she was in Garden in the past is the fact that she's seen Yor with her earrings that seem to be Garden symbol, but we haven't been given any reason to believe that she knows that Yor is part of Garden.

It's also possible that Yor's earrings aren't actually a Garden symbol or that the symbols have changed since Martha was an active member. Another possibility is that Martha does know she's part of Garden, but she figured that out while Anya was asleep and doesn't really think about much. Martha is comfortable leaving Becky alone with the Forgers, so if she knows that Yor is a part of Garden and assumes that Loid us too, that may explain why she's comfortable doing that. Although it's possible that she just picked up on them being able to protect Becky from her training from something like the military.

Less than a week to go before we, hopefully, get confirmation that Loid didn't watch the confession between Anya and Damien in the reflection of those drinks he was conveniently carrying. While at this point, I think he most likely didn't see what happened, I still can't stop thinking about the possibility that he also knows that Anya told Damien that she can read minds. Ugh, the next chapter can't come soon enough for me.

Not going to lie, I was not expecting Anya to tell Damien she can read minds this chapter!

He didn't believe her, but still! If she's serious about wanting him to know, she could still do things to try and prove it to him in the future. I've been thinking that Endo may have something big planned for chapter 100, and it's possible this exchange is setting that up somehow.

I'm also forced to wonder how closely Loid was really monitoring this exchange

He's shown with his eyes closed, at least for the moment, and his back turned to them, but if he opened his eyes, it's possible he could be monitoring them in the reflection on the drinks to see how this dance goes. As a spy, he has motive to watch them to judge how plan b is progressing. As a father, not that he'd admit it to himself, he has motive to watch them because it's his little girl dancing with someone other than himself for the first(?) time. Then again, he could be taking a breather after all the stress of watching and helping with the contest.

If Loid did catch Anya's confession, I'm forced to wonder if he'll dismiss it as one of her childish lies, or if he'll think "that would explain a lot" and actually consider that she might be telling the truth.

If we assume that Endo tweaked her design slightly between chapters, I could see this being the same person. Since it seems that Ewen became friends with Damien before they started Eden, it makes sense that their mom's would know each other.

Can I just say that I'm looking forward to however this ends up playing out?

I think this next chapter I'd going to serve as an example of times when the mission would go smoother if Twilight knew about Anya's telepathy. I also half expect this next chapter to include another incident where Twilight almost figures out that Anya can read minds before ultimately settling on a more plausible explanation. It's likely too early for him to find out about her powers and have to wrestle with himself over whether or not to tell WISE about them.

Then again, I could be wrong - since Twilight is now more aware of his feelings than he was before, I think there is a small chance that he'll have to deal with that particular dilemma sooner as opposed to later. Also, there have been some allusions to Anya's past recently, and Loid finding out about her powers would likely push us towards learning more about her past. There could also be no near reveal of Anya's powers during this next arc at all, though.

Whenever there is an extra long break between chapters like this, I can't help but wonder if Endo is struggling to script out the next arc or something. I might be misremembering something, but I think he talked about struggling a bit with the cruise arc in one of the interviews in the Eyes Only fan book and that the arc actually ended up being later in the series than he originally planned as a result, so I can't help but wonder if something like that could be happening again. I could easily be wrong, but he might be trying to set up something special for chapter 100, and it's just taking longer than he expected. I don't expect chapter 100 to have something as major as identity reveals or a kiss, but we could get a major lore drop or something. I could also see this next arc potentially being what TV Tropes calls a Wham Episode, in which something big and dramatic happens that shakes up status quo.

I suppose this is just how I cope when the break between chapters gets unexpectedly expanded like this. Sometimes, it just takes a while to cook up something good.

Can I just say that I'm still bothered by whatever this panel is foreshadowing?

It could be foreshadowing that Anya is going to get put into a different class from her friends despite how hard she studied for her recent exams due to her low overall rank

I could also see it possibly foreshadowing that Strix is ultimately going to fail* as well. We did get confirmation that Demetrius isn't close to his father either this chapter

If Desmond isn't close to any members of his family, that may make it difficult to impossible for Loid to get closer to him so he can observe him for the mission by first getting close to a different member of his family, even if he manages to get access to Desmond via the Imperial Scholar events. That being said, I do think there's a chance that the Forgers will end helping the Desmonds to heal rifts in their family.

*I just want to say that I don't believe that Strix failing will automatically mean the end of the Forger family. More on that below.

WISE may find other uses for the family, such as gathering intel on other targets or serving as a bridge between them and Garden, or depending how his character arc goes Loid could insist on staying with the Forgers indefinitely. Given that Handler lost her husband and daughter, I have my doubts about her being willing to break up the Forgers, assuming she realizes just how attached they are to each other. Since she knows about Nightfall's crush, I suspect she has a good idea about what's actually going on with this supposedly fake family. One of my head cannons about Handler is that she is fighting for peace so that others don't have to lose their family like she did, which is probably a big part of the reason why I believe that she doesn't want to break up the Forgers.

If we don't get a direct follow-up to this chapter, I'm just going to go ahead and assume that Yor insisted that Loid get some rest once they get home. She did say that she wanted to take care of him towards the end of the mole arc, and she probably knows that he didn't get to sleep last night, so this seems like the perfect opportunity to follow through on that desire once again. Perhaps my assumption will eventually be proven wrong, but I'm going to run with it for now.

Also, I think it would be pretty sweet if she tried to do something nice for him to celebrate the fact that he saved someone's life, but I'm not going to assume that happened if we don't see it happen.

I don't know why my brain keeps coming back to this when there's so much other great stuff happening in this chapter...

Did he use the WISE skis and coat just to save money, or does WISE have some weird rule that says its agents must use WISE equipment for sports when reasonably possible?

He also used WISE equipment in the tennis arc, but that was for a formal mission

If the pool omake had lasted longer, I half expect it would have been revealed that he was wearing WISE swim trunks as well. If it is a rule, then there's a good chance that the only reason he didn't use WISE snorkeling gear at the beach during the cruise arc was because that was a very spontaneous decision and he didn't have a chance to go get some WISE gear for it.

I suppose he could also have gone this route to try and convince himself that he was really only going on this trip for the mission(?) and not because Anya was about to cry...

Then again, there's a good chance I'm over analyzing this, and Endo just thought it would be funny to put him in WISE ski gear
