Previously 'Living Life', I've remade my old aspiration into something new. This is intended for those Sims that no aspiration seems to fit. A lot of them are geared towards a specific career or lifestyle, and this gives you a chance to be guided through different life events. This mod includes 16 goals, which you can view here if you want the spoiler.

Available in the Family category, this is a great aspiration for a brand new Sim, fresh out of CAS. If you don't have all of the following packs, you would have to cheat the requirements with UI Cheats Extension.

Get Together, Discover University, Cats & Dogs and one of the following; Snowy Escape, Cottage Living or City Living.

Handy Dandy Blender Cheat Sheet

I’m still pretty new to Blender, so sometimes I forget how to do certain things. I made myself a little cheat sheet for the things I most commonly do in Blender and I thought I would share. It’s very basic, but helpful if you are just starting out :)

Handy Dandy Blender Cheat sheet!

G (grab)  allows you to pick up and move selected objects.

               Press x, y, or z afterwards to constrain the movement to that plane

               Type a number afterwards x, y, or z and move the object by that amount

S (scale) allows you to increase or decrease all of your object’s dimensions relative to the little yellow reference point.

               Type a number to scale by a fixed amount

R (rotate) allows you to rotate your object

               Press x, y, or z afterwards to constrain the rotation to be only around that axis

               Type a number afterwards x, y, or z and rotate the object by that amount

B (boarder select) Select any vertices within the square

               Hold shift as well and you can deselect

Right mouse button select points

               Hold shift to select multiple

Tab enter and exit edit mode

Shift+middle mouse button pan the field of view

Middle mouse button rotate field of view

W brings up menu with remove doubles and subdivides in edit mode

Shift+D duplicates a selection or whole mesh for edit mode and object mode respectively.

Ctrl+E brings up menu to split edges in edit mode

Ctrl+J join meshes

Alt+C turn curve into a mesh

A select all points and deselect all points

P bring up menu to separate objects in edit mode

F make face in edit mode

L select a connect section of a mesh

E extrude selection in one direction

Ctrl+R Loop subdivide

N brings up right hand menu with show weights options

Delete/Decimal key on numpad zooms to selected verticies

How to easily reduce TS4 loading times - an overview

The scientist that I am loves to optimize stuff and why not reduce TS4 loading times, especially when there is lots of CC? (of course there is)

By following the steps below I could reduce loading times of my game with 16 GB CC from 18 minutes to 6 minutes (although I just merged 1/3 of my stuff so there’s still room for improvement. I’m still busy converting stuff for HQ so I expect the loading times to be even shorter when the remaining 2/3 are merged too).

1 Delete broken CC, TS2/TS3 files, duplicates

Download the Mod Conflict Detector from MTS and run it every time you get new CC.

2 Batch rename your packages in order to remove special characters

Download the bulk rename utility 

Remove clamps, spaces and other special characters (# ; , @ & ?) from your package names. 

Type in any special character in the replace field and leave the other one empty. Mark the packages you want to rename and click “rename”. Done! 

3 Merge packages 

Download Sims4studio (you have to register first, but you should consider getting Sims4Studio either way!). Select Tools -> Merge Packages and just drag and drop the packages you want to merge into one single file. Backup your individual packages. I merge packages of about 500 MB and it takes some time, but Sims4Studio will tell you when it’s finished and whether it failed to merge some of the packages. You have to place these in your game individually then.  

4 Enjoy your game

If you know additional methods to reduce loading times (others than just stop downloading cc, that won’t happen), I’d be happy to receive a message from you in order to complete this post :)

Can't believe I'm making another post about Adf*y in 2021 but here we go...

I'm sure you all know the new adf*y page which (i'm pretty sure) adf*y skipper can't skip anymore, the one where it asks to send notifications and won't let you proceed until you let them send notifications.

I accidentally just allowed one of these notifications (not at home and using a janky mouse on a pillow, keeps going crazy), so I immediately headed to my chrome settings to get rid of it.

I'm going through blocking everything before I delete it (just so I feel better about it truly being gone lol) and I see this:

I'm thinking, what the hell is a payment handler and why is it set to allow?? That super doesn't sound good... And after some googling I find yeah, it's probably not great.

So, what's a payment handler? Basically, it's when google saves your payment details to autofill later on when you're making an online purchase. So that includes your credit card, debit card, paypal, ect, details. (Source - askcybersecurity.com) Now these are usually fine on legitimate sites but this site specifically:

You just google 'christianivory.pro' and every result is how to get rid of it because it's malware. (That picture was after I cleared the cookies it had already stored, no idea what they were)

(btw, I wouldn't recommend clicking on any of these since malware/viruses are often hidden behind fake anti-malware ads/programs)

Luckily I don't keep any of my payment details saved so I'm pretty sure I'm fine after deleting it and MalwareBytes or Windows Defender hasn't detected anything. I can't say for sure what it would have done if I hadn't of deleted it, it seems to mostly be notification spam but the fact that it was trying to access my payment methods doesn't sound all that great. Even if having the payment methods allowed doesn't do shit, I've had money stolen from me through an adf*y virus before (source - my tumblr)

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I got lucky because I don't save those things but I'm going to offer a hypothetical situation which could be extremely likely in our community specifically;

Lets say I'm a 14 year old simmer who uses their parents computer to play the sims. I've recently discovered custom content and my favourite creator uses adf*y, but since I'm young and new to the community I have no idea that adf*y can be bad and I trust this creator so they would never link me to anything that could harm my computer... right? So I accept that adf*y notification and don't think anything of it, I get the CC I really like and I'm happy. But that notification I just accepted has saved my parents credit card details. I'm sure you can guess where the rest of this situation goes.

So this is me, creator to creator, telling you need to stop. I know finding a source of income can be awful right now, but your source of income could be coming at the expense of someone else who did not agree to this.

If you think your content is worth a price then I urge you to start a Patreon, Ko-Fi or even a paypal because these are platforms that are safe for both parties and are OPTIONAL. Adf*y is not optional for the downloader.

Stop putting the younger and more susceptible people in our community at risk. As creators it is likely that we gain a larger following so stop taking advantage of that. Especially if you're older or are someone who preaches the safety of our younger members in this space, step up and actually practice what you fucking preach instead of just saying it for likes and reblogs.

I am genuinely sick of this, I've been in this community for over half a goddamn decade now and I've posted before about adf*y, as have dozens of other people and this shit is STILL happening.

I am so close to wiping my old laptop and recording myself going through creators adf*y links and downloading as many malicious things as I can JUST to prove to people that adf*y is not safe. And no, I wouldn't blur out blog names, I would specifically be calling people out on their shit. This isn't just petty simblr drama, this can actually affect peoples lives.

TL:DR;

It's Adf*y?? We all know it's bad, stop using it for the sake of our community members!?? I'm gonna start calling people out for pretty soon?? STOP PISSING WHERE YOU EAT

Just discovered that using the Sims Mods Updater by Joch on ModTheSims allows you to download TSR items directly via his mod updater without having to go through the TSR website and waiting those 15 seconds. You can also dl multiple at a time.

It would be SO TERRIBLE if people knew about this and used the SIMS MODS UPDATER by JOCH on MODTHESIMS to bypass that timer and dl limit 😔

That's SO WEIRD. Why would ANYONE use the SIMS MODS UPDATER by JOCH on MODTHESIMS dot com to bypass the timer and dl limit on TSR?? That's insane! Get off my blog! 🤬

I’m back with more CC! I’ve been working on this set for over like, a year,, it’s not great, I’m new to making custom content. I hope you like it.

It took so long because, since my last (and first (and only)) piece of CC, I graduated high school, got a job, got laid off from said job, moved out of my mom’s house into my first apartment, got a new job where I get to work from home, and suffered a death in the family that put me out of commission for a while. It’s been a bit of an adventure,, haha

Marry Me - The Swan 1/?

I've had this idea for a while where instead of making dresses, I wanted to make tops and bottoms that can be mixed and matched however you please -> more options with less work. This is my first addition to the new collection and then I've also made a ballgown and an A-line skirt but they are just previous meshes I've made into skirts (that fit the top) so they aren't really "new".

I'm really in love with this top btw!
