Spring Blooms on Polwarth and Stormy Reef on Blue Faced Leicester

The BFL ended up with a lot moodier blues than it looked in the pan but I still really like it and think it will spin up fun! I love love love the polwarth though, as is to be expected considering how much I love spring and florals.

Did some dyeing last weekend when it was warm. I bought a EIGHT POUND fleece last summer and washed and dyed a bit of it. I was aiming for a kind of worn denim color and I actually think I got it right! The fleece dyed very unevenly but after a run through the drum carder it got really nice and heathered. It was so easy to clean! I just used the hottest setting on the kitchen faucet and a few squirts of soap and it came out so nice!

The blue is Jacquard's Brilliant Blue, and a bit of Lilac for vibes. I didn't measure or anything, so we'll see how well I can replicate it.

The original brown is nice and all, but the idea of spinning EIGHT POUNDS of just brown made me decide I need to color at least some of it.

You know, with how the Psychic 7 were trying to explore psychic abilities and stuff, I think it would be hilarious if Bob figured out invisibility on accident because he made a fool of himself in front of Helmut before they started dating.

Imagine if you will, Helmut flirting with Bob a little, just trying to test the waters, and the following happens:

Bob, trying to escape the conversation because he's Not Ready For This: I gotta go, I, uh, I have to go put my oven in the fridge. Helmut, confused but still smiling: What? Bob, panicking as he realized what he just said: What? Helmut: ... Bob: [turns invisible because he's dying of embarrassment.]

And then later, after the others have heard about how Bob figured out how to turn invisible:

Otto: So, you have to go put your oven in the fridge, huh? Bob, still dying: Shut it, Mentallis.

I just think it would be funny, lol.
