fatphobia and ableism is so insidious. You can look up like, food, and it'll say "eating a lot of food causes diabetes" and you're like oh dang what? I thought we didn't know the cause of diabetes. So you look up what causes diabetes and it says "we still don't know what causes diabetes" bruh they're just making shit up to give people eating disorders

#important #speaking from some experience i.e. since CHILDHOOD doctors telling me to just lose weight... and now as an adult getting mad anxious about #the diabetes problem and everything... christ. there's so much anxiety that I could have avoided if they hadn't been like this about it #especially considering plenty of people in my family have some level of insulin resistance. my dad has always been pretty consistently #considered 'prediabetic' and my uncle developed type 2 #and god... thinking that it may have been the simple dieting treatment fucking kills me because god #how much anxiety I personally could be spared every single time I go to get a blood test because of the shame I have to endure #because my blood sugar is just a smidge too high. and then the first thing they tell me to do is to adjust my diet and lose weight #even thought it's never been anything as insidious as like a super low-cal crash diet... it's still an abominable way to treat people #just really goes to show you that even modern practices have an insidious underbelly to be wary of. like I hope we enter a time someday #where this all seems so barbarically antiquated and we take pity on the people who had to go through this shit. like people who used to tak #old victorian drugs. or the insane asylums of old (and in some cases current). I really fucking hope so.

#yeah I love most of their stuff. but in hindsight there's a lot of stuff they did that was really dogshit #specifically I think the let it be album kinda rules because it's way more bluesy than a lot of their earlier stuff. #I also love help and rubber soul and revolver and sgt. peppers for how experimental they got and I respect the techniques they literally #INVENTED by doing those albums #white album still has LOTS of bangers on it but I think that's where it starts getting a little weird on some of the tracks #and lets not forget magical mystery tour being the height of the acid trip (even though there are a couple of banger tracks on there) #I also really love their early stuff like I saw her standing there is SUCH a banger for no reason #also anyone who hasn't listened to them with headphones on. I cannot recommend the experience enough. it is insane how they mixed these
