Hey y’all...

So when I started this blog, it was a lot of fun. I got to share my thoughts and commentary about Homestuck. But for a while now, I’ve been feeling like I’ve been running on empty. Not with actually reading Homestuck - that’s still as enjoyable an experience as ever - but with the need to comment on it. I’m currently deep into Act 6 Act 2, past the point where Roxy and Dirk have been introduced, which is about a hundred pages ahead of my last post. I just don’t have the energy to constantly be pausing my reading and offering a sliver of commentary. So I’m going to stop for now.

To be clear though: I’m not abandoning this blog. If I do another readthrough in the future, I will try to pick up where I left off. This blog was never meant to last forever, anyway - just until I got to the end of Homestuck. And in a way, me going on indefinite hiatus is the most Homestuck thing I can do.

So, yeah. Apologies if you’ve been enjoying my commentary and want to hear more. I’ll try to come back to this blog again in the future. Hope y’all have a wonderful life in the meantime.

I think it says a lot about Jade’s character that she put the potential desire of John to travel with Rose, Dave and the Trolls over her need to like. Not be alone for three years. Like, it’s obvious that Jade would be tremendously sad and lonely like that, even if she had “the population of five planets” to keep her company (We know this because of reasons that will be revealed later). And yet she still offered, almost nonchalantly, putting others around her first. On the one hand, it’s sweet and kind of her. On the other, she seems to be oblivious to her own needs and desires, and those are important too.

This is... NOT the first appearance of alt-universe Bro Strider. But it is the first appearance of his Auto Responder, a lifelike replica capable of almost perfectly imitating him. Almost. You can sorta tell the difference because the Auto Responder (whose name I will not be using until it’s revealed) uses a lot more math equations and exaggerated statements, as opposed to (character’s name has been excised) Strider, who’s somewhat more relaxed in his demeanor, and can’t do math for shit because he’s hella gay.

By now it should be rather obvious to anyone paying meticulous attention that Jake here is Jade’s alt-universe pen pal, and that he is the one who helped her construct Liv Tyler.

Also, this talk of dreams... Are Jane and Jake awake on Prospit already? Hmmm....

Oh, and I love the little RP-esque mannerisms Jake peppers throughout his dialouge. That doesn’t happen as often later on for some reason, so I guess I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.
