R O Y A L T Y

This one's been a long time coming. Two years I spent working on these character renders and these pieces and that's two years between other commission work and life's curveballs. And to say I'm beyond happy I finished is an understatement.

These five characters are the Royals, a set of characters from the Main Triverse iteration of my massive Disney fan project, "Stitch Triverse". Within Main Triverse, the Royals are considered (obviously by the name) royalty and the concept hails from the Auros system, a sister system to that of Turo. The princes, princesses and even just royalty who are seen as this have been aligned with the Federation via treaty and therefore serve as higher figures of authority within the canon (in a similar order to, say, the Grand Councilwoman).

Also in a way, the Royals also represent a big slice of my fandom journey within the "Lilo & Stitch" franchise. Yaiko Galaxia (the flaxen hair) is one of my main OCs, even prevalent as my main blog's avatar (as per a Skeb commission by @/ningukt) and if it wasn't for creating my moody flaxen haired kid, I think I wouldn't have Triverse as massively sprawled out and as intricately developed as I would have.

So this is a tribute to five of the characters I consider closest to me. Five pieces of me given to the L&S masses alongside an even bigger project intended for many to create within its realms:

To Yaiko Galaxia, the intrepid "Innoventor". ✨

To Mako Eikochino, the shy heart alive in the sea. 🌊

To Mimi Hiromi, the powerhouse of flowers. 🌸

To Elle Vulcania, the tomboy heart ablaze. 🔥

To Keiko Hubrect, imaginative idol and creative soul. 🐉

I hadn't posted this back during the time i drew this, but after the Tech drawing i probably should've cuz MAN, i didn't realize how many people actually kinda liked this show online but HEY, i got something cool along with this one!

So like, i drew this back in October and yes, i scrambled to do this before New York Comic Con cuz like, i found out Rev's VA was gonna be there and i wanted to TRY to get a signature. i waited on that line for hours on end, a lotta scheduling difficulties on the staff's end, and when i finally got to the front i could barely form a sentence that wasn't basic conversation but BOY, it was so nice getting to see Rob in action cuz he's a very sweet human being to watch interact with his fans. lol

I've met a few VAs in my lifetime, but i honestly didn't think he'd be one of them. definitely gonna remember this one for a long time.

And yes. Rev is my favorite. yes. i am predictable. hi, bird loving artist here, welcome to my blog. lmao

Anyways, happy "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" launch day!! Bryan Lee O'Malley's works, including this iconic comic turned live-action movie turned game and now turned anime serves as a huge inspiration to my art and my creative talents, so I'd be damned if I didn't draw up something for the occasion of Science Saru's new take on him.

Sooooo I took to remaking an old traditional piece I created for the 10th anniversary (and eventual relaunch) of the Scott Pilgrim game in the best way I can, with style. I think it's kinda amazing how one's art can evolve over only a few years, huh?

This remake comes at you in stereophonic sound and in grunged and ungrunged flavors. Hope you're enjoying the anime if you're watching today! 💥✨👊
