You know how I know media literacy is dead?

Because I know that in if in seasons 2 of Hazbin Hotel, Alastor looked at the camera directly and said "I am Aromantic Asexual, I have no attraction to anyone of any gender, sexual or otherwise. I will literally kill you if you try to hit on me." And people will still somehow say that it's not enough evidence.

Like why does Alastor have to say the words with his mouth for ya'll to believe it?? Ya'll are pretty confident that Angel Dust is gay and he's never said it directly (at least from my knowledge). Were none of ya'll taught context clues in school???

We really need to bring back the "why are the curtains blue" discussion...

Been a while since I've fallen so quickly and so thoroughly into a hyperfixation, but Hazbin Hotel has me by the neck. Especially the pairing of Angel Dust and Husker.

My favorite parts of this to draw: Husk's murder face, Valentino's coughing and retching sound effects, and Angel draping himself over Husk at the end.

(The last panel came to me as an afterthought, hence why it's a separate image.)

I have a headcanon that Alastor stays in the 1920s and 30s for EVERYTHING accept music.

He's was a radio host, it was his job to stay up to date on those things on earth, and I can't see him not having an appreciation for all kinds of music due to that, especially when he carried it over to his afterlife.

And frankly. I think it would be funny if Charlie and they other's, only knowing about Alasotr's broadcasts of torturing people, never ACTUALLY listen to his radio station, even though judging by him spilling the tea in Stayed Gone, he's at LEAST got a Gissip/news section. I could see him having a variety of entertainment sections, and playing different kinds of music on a Monday morning or after noon (like every few hours of rver day are dedicated to a difrenr genera, like if it's divided by decade or language. Or something else)

But really I'm just picturing the Hazbins NOT KNOWING THIS ans they walk in on this man, cooking them all dinner one night, and his just singing to himself, but he's singing like

It has to be kesha. It has to be Bee's Cotten Candy.

They'd be flabbergasted.

Okay folks,

With all the different ideas out there for one-sided radiostatic shipnames (to separate from people who ship them mutually, give us a more specific tag for people wanting to see Vox being a pathetic man and/or don’t want to see Alastor attracted to anyone), I figured we should try and come to a consensus for tagging purposes. I took the ones that people most positively responded to in a previous post, as well as ones recommended by others and talking to @onesidedradiostatic .

Repost this for more data and so anyone interested has input!

(Also note: hopefully by doing this survey you agree to respect the results? Again for making tagging/access as easy as possible)

Yes I love StaticRadio and RadioDust but I love those in a one sided way bc I used to be AroAce. And I never saw the representation. And I'm still Ace and on the Aro spectrum. AroAce erasure can hurt people more than you think. It makes people feel invalid and hide who they are. It can make people force relationships they don't want. Because there isn't any rep for people like them.

Yet the ONLY aro ace characters ive ever seen are Alastor Lilith Clawthorne and Issac (heart stopper)

And how many shows do I watch? HH, HB, Toh, StarVs, Hamilton, DEH, Newsies, Heather's, Mean girls, Shera , Heart stopper.

That is 11 pieces of media. 5 of them are extremely gay. So where the fuck is the rep?

Alastor is not only Aroace, he’s on the part of the spectrum that is S3x Repulsed.

Erasing his sexuality with the excuse that “some aro & ace people are okay with romance/s3x” doesn’t even work when applied to Alastor.

Ok I love alastor he is amazing. However Lucifer is a far better model figure for Charlie to look up to. He supports her completely and unconditionally.

Alastor's Love for Charlie is fake and conditional. Everything he does is part of his plan. She is a pawn in his game. He has a plan and Charlie is part of it.

So I don't hate people who prefer Lucifer. I love Alastor's writing and I've never seen a morally gray character I can enjoy before him. The historical parts of his story are some of the most interesting as I am a history nerd.

Lucifer however I love because he subverts the expectations you'd expect from the devil. He isn't incredibly evil or controlling he is short autistic and depressed.
