hello! I've found your fic a few days ago and binge-read it. I'm loving it so far! I was wondering if you knew when you'd be posting the next chapter. It's not my intent to rush you or anything, it's just me asking out of curiosity and hype. Also, I was wondering if you had a set update schedule or something of the like.

thank you for your support and interest! i've never had a set schedule due to the unpredictable nature of my everyday life. the chapters were posted when i thought they were done. i've been going through personal, financial, medical, and professional struggles that have prevented me from engaging with my hobbies. i don't know when the next update will be as my main method of writing and editing is no longer available.

What books would Ana recommend to the other Mikealsons? And what is Ana’s favourite books?

ana recommends her favourite books very rarely and never mentions the fact that they're her favourites (because she believes that they're very revealing). so, here are the books she'd recommend for each mikaelson (and they'd read the books ana recommended to the others because they're THAT nosy). although, i will say that she wants to force all the mikaelson men to read her feminist books (elijah, klaus, and kol, maliciously. finn, wholeheartedly.)

rebekah mikaelson: ana is trying to get this girl out of the trenches. she's making sure she reads all the romance books that definitely show "this man is a red flag. get some self-respect." she wants her to see healthy romances too. she's trying to give her a varied experience and bond through the complex mix of being pulled between girlhood and womanhood.

A secret fanfiction blog has the fanfiction privated and password locked. Some fanfiction authors do this so their dedicated readers get earlier updates and extra content.

this but replace paid with dedicated readers. how would someone even organise this. is this normal? also earlier updates? extra content? anon, all the love to you, but i am literally deprived of time. i don't even know how i would manage to do this?

Have you ever thought of a secret fanfiction blog?

so, i have been trying to puzzle over this ask and i actually have no idea what this secret fanfiction blog thing is referencing? if you'd love to elaborate, i could answer then, but i'll just give answers to my presumptions on the possibilities?

a new fanfiction with a dedicated blog: i'm really sorry if this one is the case but i'm already struggling with one fanfiction on my plate. i cannot do another.

a blog dedicated to sojournment & reinvention but like secret?: i don't see the need to make certain things secret? this blog is mainly focused on s&r already.

privatize s&r for reasons unknown?: i don't really see why i would need to make s&r private unless i get harassed for some reason but this is a pretty "dead" fandom compared to its height and i haven't really seen anyone get flack so i'm not really worried. i'm also not online enough for harassment to matter to me <3

yes, i think i am making books ana and finn's thing? maybe not just their thing but it'll be a point of connection for them. so, some titles will be included in the story but i don't consider it a spoiler... because they're just some books. but if you've read them before, i hope you understand why i chose them all!

but ask and you shall receive. i will cobble together a few future scenes i've written for you to possibly anticipate + one deleted scene (no guarantee they will appear in the story because editing happens).

1. far off into the future....

“They’re your…” He cleared his throat. “What are they to you?”

“Boy toys,” Tetsuo said.

Satoshi looked ill at those words.

Ana glared. “Don’t call them that.”

“Suitors,” Satoshi suggested desperately.

“Harem,” Hitomi said as she came down the stairs.

“You’re all terrible people.” Ana sunk deeper into the sofa.

2. can you guess who this is?

"Don't you have a city to lord over?"

“We all need reprieves from our day jobs, love,” he said. “This is simply just mine.”

“Harassing a twenty-one year old girl while she’s running? Well, you’re following the modern handbook for creepy old men to a tee.”

3. can you guess who's point of view this is from?

Even alone, at the brink of a scarlet dawn, she retained an unreadable expression. It was as if she had slipped a blank mask over her soft features and allowed it to mold to her face. It was a strange serenity, one accented by a hidden melancholy. The warmth of the sunrise swept over the cold of her moonlit skin and reserved countenance—she was such a peculiar contradiction. The act of studying her inspired a strangely comforting malaise within him, a dredged up camaraderie of two worn souls.

He, then, understood his siblings’ unrelenting fascination with her.

They had not spoken with each other more than a handful of times, and he already found himself assuming, a faux-understanding flooding him just by looking at her forlorn silhouette. Something about her enticed him. Perhaps it was the possibility he could find refuge in her the same way his brothers had and provide a sanctuary for her.

4. ana is the baby of her family: confirmed.

Ana let them set the sleeping Aiko in her arms and the infant yawned, her little lips barely parting for a breath of air. She was entirely too small and sweet. The sound of rapid clicks surrounded her and she faced her family to find several phones pointed in her direction.

"Really?" she asked, unimpressed.

"The baby meets the newest baby," Aunt Setsuko said. "We have to make this the new family group chat background."

"What group chat?"

Aunt Kanna waved her off. "It's for the adults, Mina."

"We're all adults. I'm over twenty years old."

"Whatever makes you happy. Now, smile for the camera."
