Finché Morte Non Ci Separi
So I was debating on wether or not I would release these creations before or after I had Finished had finished the whole book, however I thought that instead of releasing them all together at the end, I would instead release them one at a time.
These are face-claims for Rory and Sonny’s children.
Now I have 3 separate images for each child, basically like an age progression just so you know the characters general appearance during the time period there in. And then at the end the book I shall re-release them all together once more with all their images along with the Actors and such.
This is just a sort of reference, of course there will be some slight altercations from the actual appearance of the children but it was the best I could do with age regression.

I’m still very much invest in my Elvis, however I will admit I’m taking a short hiatus from it, not because I’ve lost interest l, far from the case but I’m just sort of at a stale mate right now, I’m trying to find so inspiration on how my story’s gonna plot out, I did have an idea but since I fist made my plan the story has sort of drifted off my original course.
the fanbase is still here and stronger than ever i think ur just not posting so u think that
i’m not sure if you post fics or not, but i -along with every other writer that i’ve spoken to in regards to this topic- saw a steep decline in interaction as well as notes around the months of september and october! while the die hard fans have remained, those that joined the fandom during the hype of the movie have now begun to fall back. (it’s kinda sad, but also a blessing! the real ones stayed, and it’s awesome!)
while i am beyond thankful for those of you that have stayed (love you all eternally), i would have to be blind not to see the difference in numbers.
with all of that being said, tumblr is my safespace. writing for all of you has become a major joy in my life, and i love making you all happy. i feel like i have a purpose on this site, and that is super special. i’m excited to start posting on a regular basis again (i’m over the moon about posting tomorrow), and i just hope to see some familiar people coming back to check on my blog!
i’m still here and very much alive!

Chapter 3: Visiting the lions den
February 17th
1943
New York/Long Island
Aurora had barely gotten a wink of sleep that evening, her mind just wouldn’t settle. Thoughts about Santino, Corleone’s and their appearance in her life and what it meant kept invading her thoughts.
By the time she was finally able to drop off she would only be able to squeeze in a few hours before her Nona woke her up in the early morning by pulling back the curtains and letting in the morning light.
“Up! It’s time to wake up. We’ve got to get you ready!”
Desperate for even a moment longer to rest Rory pulled the covers over her head.
“None of that this morning, you need to get in the bath and prepare for your introduction to the Corleone’s, now Ive already picked out your outfit.”
Don’t let her smaller frame fool you, her nona was quite a tough cookie.
After siting In the floral scented bath until she was practically a shrivelled prune on her grandmother’s orders, Rory was then moved to her vanity, which is where she currently sat watching as her Nona fussed with her hair.
“You don’t want anything too outlandish although at the same time you want to make an impression.”
Aurora was trying to pay attention to what Nona was telling her, but the the fumes from the hairspray that Nona was spraying into her already rolled up hair was burning her nose.
While her hair was setting gran moved onto Rory’s makeup.
Thankfully her Nona actually let Rory do this by herself, White her standing by of course.
First was the foundation, grabbing the brush Aurora dabbed the foundation over her face and then started to blend it into her skin. She then picked up the brow pencil and brush making sure to keep it a well manicured arch followed by eyeshadow, just a light pastel noting extravagant just to bring out my eye’s. The rouge on the cheeks gave a little more colour, and then finally Rory picked out her red lipstick.
After it was done Rory looked back at herself , not too bad.
Finally nona took the curlers out of Rory’s hair and then started ruining her fingers through her curled locked to get the combed-through curls perfect.
“Beautiful, now I’ve laid your dress out on your bed, I’ll be waiting outside for you.” Nona swiftly left the room.
Looking at the chosen dress Rory had to hand it to her nona, she certainly picked out a stunning dress.
A beautiful below the knee Dress with Pussy Bow Tie Neck, the traditional shirtwaist seemed to compliment her figure, the Crepe de Chine fabric was soft to the touch and felt smooth on Rory’s skin and the long sleeves which were very full at the cuff were light.the dress also had pretty smock stitching detail and little covered buttons to the front adding to its appeal, however Rory was a little unsure on the colour, cream was very daring.
After putting on pantyhose and her dress Rory then put on a pair of beige slingbacks that cushioned her feet.
Walking out into the hallway She gave a little Twirl for Nona, who’s eyes well up.
“Magnifico.”
Bashfully Rory looked down and fingered the soft fabric of her dress, it wasn’t often that Aurora was able to get all dolled up like this so it was a nice change.
The rest of the morning Aurora was trying to keep herself occupied, trying to keep her mind off the clock.
Her Grandmother was assisting in that, she kept giving Aurora chores one after the other. Just doing them kept Aurora entertained even if it was just helping straighten out the living room.
Finally around 9ish her Grandfather walked into the kitchen dressed up in his suit and with his hand made a coke here motion.
“Let’s go Aroura, it’s time.”
The three of us walked through the hallway with my grandmother fretting over me just one last time. Straightening out any creases, putting that last steam of hair into place and giving me tips.
“Remember smile, only spoke when addressed, let him make the first conversation, remember be demure.”
Suddenly everything was beginning to click for Rory. The primping and priming, the beautiful dress and her Nona’s words, the last time she had seen something familiar was when her dear friend Brava, during her courtship to her now husband Buono. For the month of her courtship Brava had practically be surrounded by her female family member’s.
Somehow Rory doubted she was being taken to meet Don Corleone for simple pleasantries. Oh dear.
Perhaps it wasn’t too late to make a break for it. Perhaps Aurora would of if her Nona’s words didn’t ring loudly in her ear.
“Una brava ragazza siciliana confida nelle conoscenze del suo anziano e confida che sappiano cosa è meglio per lei.” A good Sicilian girl trust in her elder’s knowledge and trust that they know what’s best for her.
Surly her Nonno was wise enough to know what was best for her. Her entire life has been dictated, he had made every decision for her and never led her astray or at-least Rory didn’t think so. Then again her Nonno had always kept her in a tight leash.
It what was best for her, that’s what her Nonno always told her.
Grasping her hand in his tight grip Enzo gestured for his nipotina to get in the car.
Doing as she was told, Aurora slid into the cool leather seat’s and began buckling herself up.
Her grandmother got into the drivers seat and it wasn’t long before they were on the road.
It's quiet in the car.
No words, no music. Silence seemed right. Rory rolled down her windows and leaned her head against the door frame, listening to the wind rush by and smelling the pine trees.
Some time passes of just silent driving, the Corleone’s lived in Long Island whereas Aurora and her family lived in New York.
Still Aurora let her eyes close and enjoy the warm breeze that seems to caress her skin.
You didn’t always have beautiful days like these, so when you did it was best to make them last.
Just as Aurora was about to drop of to sleep the car stopped. Opening her eyes Rory was greeted with big cement walls and a multitude of car’s and gentlemen standing around.
They had arrived.
Leaning back into the car Rory allows her self a moment to gather her thoughts.
Hearing her Nonno’s door opening Aurora took that as her cue.
Rory tried not to notice the multitude of eyes that seems to stare her down curtsy of the multiple gentlemen milling around.
Taking his granddaughter’s hand Nonno lead Rory through the entrance to the property, and finally Rory was as able to see the infamous Corleone residence.
The English Tudor mansion did not disappoint.
As both walked towards the front doors waiting to greet them was the Dons own consigliere Tom Hagen.
“benvenuto”
Trying to remain an inconspicuous as possible Aurora let her Nonno greet the consigliere with good cheer.
"Buongiorno!” The men clasped had with smiles towards each-other.
Aurora was happy to stay of out sight but apparently that wouldn’t happen, as if he had heard her thought’s both eyes turned to her.
Grasping her Nonno’s outstretched hand Rory allowed herself to be pulled to her Grandfather’s side.
“May I present my beautiful nipotina Aurora Mancini, Aurora this is Tom Hagen.”
Remembering her manner's Rory held eye contact and gently shook consigliere Tom’s hand.
“Buongiorno signora Aurora”
“Buongiorno signore.” She didn’t have the Sicilian accent that the rest of her family possessed but she was still knowledgeable in her family’s mother tongue.
Once Tom released her hand he gestured towards the house.
“Follow me and I shall inform the Don of your arrival.”
Obediently Aurora follower her Nonno and Tom into the house trying not to offend anyone by looking at someone or something for too long everything here was so ostentatious and dazzling, it was the type of home Rory could only ever dream of owning. In the distance she would hear chatter coming from down the hall. Obviously women, most likely the dons family member’s though she would have the chance to think further on it considering they were being led in another direction.
Finally they stopped at a closed door.
Holding a hand out Tom stopped the duo.
“Please wait here, I shall alert the dom and then when he’s ready I shall come and get you.”
With those last words Tom swiftly opened the door leaving Aurora and Enzo alone.
Rory used the time to straighten out her dress, fix the few last strands of hair that fell out and simply just prepare herself for meeting one of New York’s most infamous men.
Enzo on the other hand had trying to take deep breath’s and looking at his granddaughter. Today had it be perfect, this meeting had to go well. The future of his business depended on it and not just his future but Aurora’s too. His wife had chosen a wonderful dress and dolled his Granddaughter up very nicely, she was a beauty.
Finally after what felt like an eternity but couldn’t of been longer than a few minutes the door once again opened but this time Tom was holding the door open inviting the pair to walk into the office.
This was it.
With small and dainty steps Rory walked into the office.
First thing she noticed and the amount of people that were currently in the office. Rory had expected perhaps the Dom and Tom but accompanying them were another two gentlemen.
One she recognised immediately.
Santino.
The other man was his brother Fredo, she had seen him around town several times.
Still Rory only looked at them for a Moment after which her eyes went to Don Vito.
Just looking at his made Rory feel intimidated, the way he held himself with such confidence and ease, despite his ageing fine Vito was still an attractive man. It’s clear to see where ti so called Corleone looks came from.
“Signor Mancini how wonderful to see you this fine morning and I take this to be your beautiful nipotina.” Don Vito’s voice had a husky whisper to it.
Enzo desperate for the is meeting to go well eagerly brought his nipotina forward.
“This is Aurora Mancini.”
A small smile crossed Don Vito’s face and with his hand he beckoned Rory forward.
“Come closer my child.”
Gathering her nerve and trying to look more confident than she felt, Rory hesitantly stepped forward.
Reaching a out to grow the outstretched hand, Rory placed a gentle kiss in the Corleone encrusted family ring.
“Don Vito.”
“A gracious greeting my child, look up and let my see your face cara.”
Following instructions Rory gently moved up to make eye contact with Vito.
Rory didn’t move or even blink, she only held still as the Don observed her from head to toe. His hand gently held her chin.
Bated breath could be heard throughout the office, everyone was waiting for the dom’s opinion.
Enzo prayed that Vito liked what he saw.
After a very long moment willed with suspense, finally Don Vito brought his hand back down and walked back to his chair while Aurora went back to her Nonno who instantly gripped her arm.
“Just as beautiful as you boasted Signor Mancini, you should be proud to have such a beautiful nipotina, and a fine woman to became a member of our family.”
And just like that all of Aurora’s suspicions had been confirmed, however she was wise enough to know not to say anything.
But that just blasted the question, who?
Which Corleone son would she call to be her husband.
Well there were three to choose from.
Perhaps it would be the youngest Michael, she had never met him but apparently rumours said he was a nice man, currently he was away.
It might be fredo, fredo wasn’t exactly someone to be remembered in the family, sure he was the second eldest, however rumour has it he was just too soft and gentle to really be of any threat.
Last of all there was Santio, he was the eldest son of Don Vito and the one of is apparently going to become Don once Don Vito head into retirement, although he was a good leader and a charismatic gentleman his violent temper and quick to anger personality was very concerning.
Finally Don Vito again.
“With the union of your nipotina to my eldest Santino we shall unite our families, naturally we shall have a period of courtship to allow our young one’s to be properly acquainted with eachother, under supervision.”
So it was Santino Corleone who she was chosen to marry, Rory knew she would be more out of by this whole situation but she would be outing if she didn’t admit that there as a certain charm she experienced at the thought of being the wife to the handsome and charming Santino Corleone.
Unable to help herself Rory’s eyes sort out her future husband, he was sat on a chair nursing a glass of whiskey with a cheeky smile and a mischievous glint in his eye’s.
His enthusiasm seems to be contagious and Rory couldn’t help but give him a small smile.
It was once again Vito that broke there concentration.
“Sonny, why don’t you take carissima Aurora for a leisurely walk, I’ll have some bodyguards accompany you two, then you will accompany us for lunch, Enzo I shall have one of my men carpool her back to yours later this afternoon.”
With a beaming smile Enzo gave a single nod.
“Grazie Don Corleone I am deeply honoured by your care.”
The meeting was officially over and everyone was leaving the office Aurora watched as her grandfather was taken back towards the entrance, Rory on the other hand was left unsure on what to do with herself.
That was until a warm hand was placed on her back and a familiar intense voice spoke form her left.
“Follow me, Aurora. I know a wonderful walking trail that we could go down.” Wordlessly Rory followed her soon to be husband.
Thankfully the it was a warm day, otherwise this would of been a very uncomfortable walk.
Not that Rory wasn’t uncomfortable, she was.
So many questions were running around in her head, and it was impossible to focus on just one.
She and santonio walked in silence for a good while until Santino finally spoke.
“I’m sure you have many questions.”
“A few.” Aurora let out a tiny laugh.
Santino let out a laugh.
“Well I’ll answer what I can.” The gesture sonny made to Rory to go ahead.
“Well I guess my first question would have to be why me? Don’t mistake I’m flattered but surly there are other women that would be better suited, good full-blooded Sicilian’s, you do know of my heritage right?”
Oh goodness what of her grandfather had left the circumstances of her parents out of the equation.
Before she could fret herself into a panic santinos warm hand was once again on her lower back, this heat radiating from his touch seemed to burn through her dress making tingles run up her spine.
“Yes we know of your heritage, my father had been awear of it since the moment you were born.”
Confusion was pasted across Rory’s face, her head suddenly filled with even more questions.
Just how long had the Corleone’s known about her.
Santino continued on.
“My father helped him out back in the day and he’s always been interested in you.”
Desperate to find out more Aurora pushed on.
“What do you mean? How do my grandfather and your father know eachother?” She needed to know.
However the stern look Santino shot Rory was enough to once again settle her down.
“I won’t Discuss business with you Aurora, so please refrain from asking any further questions on the business between our family’s.”
“I’m sorry.” Aurora was knowledgable enough to know her position.
If surprised of her quick willingness to let the topic slide santino didn’t let it show.
“But to answer your earlier question yes I know that your father was an American, however I don’t see that as an issue. You’ve been raised in a Sicilian household, you know our values and traditions, besides Tom isn’t Italian and he’s family.”
Happy to get conversation back on a lighter note Rory continued to find out more about her future husband.
“So santino-“
Santino quickly cut in.
“Call me Sonny.”
Warmth flooded Aurora, it was a foreign feeling, yet it felt nice.
“Very well, If you call me Rory.”
“Rory?” Sonny mused while trading amused glances with this future wife.
UnAble to help herself Rory let out a little laugh.
“Yes, I know it sounds like a Boy’s name but it’s easier and quicker than saying my full name, plus I think it’s unique.”
The laugh the Sonny let out was one from the stomach.
“Whatever you say doll face.”
Whatever tension was between them earlier had seemed to evaporate. Both were now relaxed and simply happy to be in each other’s company.
Feeling more confident Rory eagerly moved forward so she was a few paces in front of Sonny before turning so she could face him head while walking backwards.
“So Sonny since you’ve already mocked my name, tell me something about yourself.”
The mischievous grin on his face was that of pure amusement and mirth, the usual frown line’s on his face had evaporated, one would find it hard to believe that he was only 28 years of age.
“May I enquire to what you want to know, I’m an open book, more of less.”
Rory pursed her lips in a comical way while placing a finger on her chin and playfully acting like she was in deep thought, her actions got her a laugh.
“What’s your favourite dish and why?”
“Sfogliatelle hands down, my Madre would always have a dozen or so waiting for me and my siblings when we got home from school.” Despite his good physique Sonny enjoyed the delicate pastry.
Aurora had been so entrapped with the conversation she hadn’t even noticed the shadows that were following her and Sonny.
Just as Vito had promised they were being chaperoned by several bodyguards, still Rory paid them no mind, round the clock security was something she was going to have to get used to.
“What about you Rory? What’s your favourite dish?”
Sonny moved around Rory Till it was him in front staring back at her while walking backwards.
“Arancini.”
As a child she was always eating those breaded and deep-fried ball’s of creamy risotto rice.
Both had been so deep in conversation that neither had noticed they had done a full 360 and were almost back at the house.
Just in time too.
The inviting smell of lunch reached the noses of both Sonny and Rory.
“Looks like it’s lunch time, we best take our seats.”
In a surprise move Sonny grabbed Rory’s hand and pulled her towards the dining room.
Blushing to her roots Aurora tried not to trip over herself.
Still both made it to the dining room in time and were greeted by Vito.
“At least we were wondering if you would make it back in time for lunch, family may I present Aurora Mancini.”
Rory offers everyone a polite smile and was greeted to enthusiastic welcomes from everyone.
To her relief she was approached by Carmella.
“Benvenuta Aurora! Please take a seat between myself and my daughter Connie.”
Guided by Carmella’s gentle hands, Rory was sat down next to a beautiful young woman who couldn’t of been much older than her, probably the same age.
Connie gave her future sister in-law a megawatt smile.
“It’s so great to meet you! I hope your hungry.”
“I’m starving.”
“Perfetta!” Carmella voiced before she and began scooping out the Caponata and Farsu magru onto plates and passing them around.
Eager to help her future mother in law, Rory offered up her services.
“Would you like any help signora Carmella?”
Carmella merely brushed the woman off and continued to plate up the dishes herself.
Okay looks like winning over Carmella is going to be harder than I thought.
Connie leaned over to Rory.
“Don’t worry about it, mama’s always been picky about when it come’s so the food and who serves it, I wouldn’t try to come between her and her kitchen.”
Rory understood that, Italian mothers weren’t easy to impress and didn’t share their secret’s easily.
Still after saying grace, Rory eagerly dug into her lunch.
Mmmm, it was delicious.
The rest of lunch would be spent making conversation with both Connie and Theresa who were interested in learning about her and her hobbies, while also making plans to go shopping together, Carmella simply watched over them chiming in occasionally.
In Rory’s opinion it was a great first impression. If she was going to marry at least she knew she would be part of a family that for all intense and purposes seemed to value each-other greatly.
After lunch Rory said her goodbyes and Just as was promised, got into the waiting car.
The drive back home was quite, her driver didn’t speak and she didn’t try to make conversation, her mind was just too clouded.
Still she thanked the nameless driver when she got out of the car before walking up the steps of her building and knocking on the door.
The door opened and her Nonno ushered her inside.

A/N: I figured that I can’t stay sad forever, I’ve got to carry on and keep pushing out chapter for all of you. So that’s what I’m going to do, this chapter is dedicated to you Lisa. I don’t know why but I’ve had so much trouble with this chapter, I just couldn’t seem to find a right flow so my apologies in advance if it’s not very good, I knew that if I didn’t post it no I would never end up posting it.
Chapter 6: Could it?…. I Mean……No!…..It’s Impossible……..is it?
“Y/N would you be a dear and fetch the bag of ice that is in the freezer please, I want to start filling the cool box.”
“Sure.”
Y/n Abandoned her place at a table where she had been helping several other volunteers to put helium in balloons and walked towards the gazebo where the makeshift kitchen was.
Today was the yearly Medford autumn fair, so y/n had been here since 7am this morning helping set everything up.
It was sort of a tradition in the Y/L/N family, Y/N’s mother had always signed the family up as volunteers, this tradition had been happening for as long as y/n could remember.
Even now with Y/N and her siblings grown up they still sign up every year along with their parents to help, really it was far better to sign up than having to face the look their mother would give them.
Pam L/N was a devout member of the town’s community council, if there was one thing she loved more than anything was organising amazing and elegant fundraisers for her community. Hence forth she expected the same level of commitment for her kids.
This year they were putting on a fair for the community, they had Local business setting up stall’s with food, baked goods, drinks, ornaments and other goods for people to buy, they had game stalls and live music, there was going to be a large BBQ for which everyone was welcome to as well as drinks.
Y/n made her way around the multitude of people who were busy setting up their own stall’s, she was able to spot her sister Rachel along with her husband Paul helping set up the petting zoo, well Rachel was more or less siting on a comforting arm chair whilst giving her husband orders, her 7 month pregnant belly had made it harder for her to do much heavy lifting.
Pulling back the tent flap y/n was able to spot the large white freezer easy enough, already the makeshift kitchen was packed with people busy looking the food for the bbq.
People were making slaw and potato salad, Mac and cheese, rib’s, burgers, hotdogs and an assortment of other dishes and that wasn’t even counting the suckling pig that was being slow cooked on a fire.
Opening the fridge y/n spouted two large ice bags, placing one on top of the other y/n heaved both of them into her arms biting her lip as the cold bags seeped through the thin Cotten of her blouse.
For y/n the journey back seems twice as long but she was finally able to get the band to the ice buckets and with the help of another volunteer both ripped open the bags and filled the large metal tubs.
Y/n would like to of perhaps taken a break afterwards but with the fair set to open in let than and go out she had to set up the ticket booth.
This year y/n had pulled the short straw and was placed on ticket table, her job was to take peoples ticket and give them a wristband.
However she wasn’t going to be alone, lacy was also manning the booth along with her.
Lacy Hidge and Y/N had been friends in school…. Well y/n wouldn’t necessarily call them friend but they had hung around in the same friendship group so of course they had hung out together with their mutual friends.
Much like Y/N lacy’s mother was on the community council, so both girls had bonded over their mother’s mutual love of guilting their children.
Lacy was already waiting for her when y/N approached and beside from slightly tilting her head didn’t give much acknowledgement to y/n, not that y/n took it personally Lacy had always been a woman of little words.
Soon enough it was time to open and already there was a crowd that was beginning to gather, putting in her best customer service face y/n smiled at the men, woman and children who were handing her their ticket and giving them wristbands or even taking money from those several passerby’s that had taken interest.
Them she was approached by someone who quite frankly y/n had no desire to see.
Michelle Matthews, the unofficial golden star of south Medford high school and y/N’s tormenter.
For all of those who say the popular kids always peak in high school they haven’t met Michelle.
When y/n said Michelle was the poster child of their year she wasn’t kidding. Y/n honestly wouldn’t be surprised if she had been born under a blessed gold star. Captain of the Gymnastics team and prom queen was only scraping the surface. Honour student and valedictorian, she was the girl who had it all.
And just when you think she’s finally going to be humbled what happens, she gets a full ride to Yale.
Michelle was the perfect girl and she knew it as well, this turned into a hobby of letting all those she considered beneath her know just how irrelevant they were compared to her, this unfortunately included Y/N.
Hair pulling, shoving and “accidentally” spilling her soda over homework or lunches was just a few of her favourite torments.
“Oh my gosh! Y/N it’s been so long. How are you?”
Not so Great now your here, was what y/n was desperate to say to the women in-front of her yet it was lacy’s gentle kick to the shins that made her hold her tongue.
“I’m great, how are you Michelle?”
Y/n studied Michelle from head to toe, stilettos that y/n was sure cost more than her monthly rent, a Chanel handbag and a cashmere coat but that’s wasn’t what caught y/N’s attention no it was the giant rock on her left hand. From the way Michelle was using that hand to brush back what looked like to be invisible hairs it was obvious she was showing it off.
“Oh you Know nothing much, I’m just in town for the holiday’s, you know sometime’s you just need to take a break from living in the big city not that you would understand of course, not all of us have the courage to leave the quiet country life, I hear your working at a bar now?”
County life?
Michelle made it sound like they lived in the middle in nowhere.
Oh how y/n longed to grab her prefect blond hair and just rip out those fake extensions, still it was lacy’s hand practically gripping her knees under the table that kept y/n rooted to her chair.
“Yes I do.”
“I thought you were planning to become a photographer, you were always carrying that stupid camera around with you.”
“I’m still planning on doing that but I need to pay my bill’s while I build up my portfolio.”
The patronising look that y/n was receiving from Michelle just made y/n want to…..
“Yes I understand, we can’t all achieve our dreams, some of us just have to live with what we have.”
“I hear congratulations are in order.” Y/n desperate to change the conversation gestured to the extravagant ring on Michelle’s finger.
“Oh this small thing!.” Michelle brushed it off as if she hadn’t just been purposefully flashing it at all those who passed. “Well my boyfr- sorry my fiancé finally proposed, you remember Chadwick don’t you.”
Chadwick, Michelle’s super rich boyfriend that Michelle met at Yale, he was almost at awful as Michelle and the one time Michelle had brought the pompous ass with her to Medford two years ago the man had not tried to his his distaste.
“I do, a true match made in heaven.” Or hell.
“What about you? Any man in your life?”
“No yet, but there’s still plenty of time to do all that.”
“Of course there is, your bound to find someone who will agree to settle with you but hey if it doesn’t happen I hear dogs are good companions. Anyway one ticket please.”
Y/n took the money and handed Michelle her wristband, despite to be as far away from Michelle as possible.
It was only after y/n had walked into the fair did y/n let out a Breath and slump into her chair.
“Still as pleasant as always.” Lacy joked from beside her, getting her a laugh out of y/n.
It was amazing how someone she hadn’t spoken to since high school still had the power to bring y/N’s confidence down.
“Ticket for one doll.”
Huh? Y/n knew that voice.
Quickly turning her head to see if it was who she though it was, y/n looked at the man I form of her.
Dark hair that unlike when she had last seen him looked thicker and more styled, dressed In a simple button down and slacks, looking 10x better than when they had last spoken after y/n had dropped him off at the church.
“Elvis.” Y/N breathed out.
Elvis smile was wide showcasing his pearly whites.
“Miss Y/F/N, it’s a pleasure to once again lay my eye’s on you.”
“What are you doing here?” Y/N almost winced at the abrasiveness. “I Mean I didn’t expect to see you here.”
Elvis didn’t seem offended at all which gave y/n comfort.
“Pastor John asked me if I would be willing to help out with the churches stall at the fair, sister Margret has come down with the flu.”
Somewhere in the back of her mind y/n knew she would be slight worried for sister Margret the elderly woman had always been nice to y/n but all she could think of was how…….. y/n couldn’t describe what she was feeling as Elvis stood in front of her. That magnetic feeling once again stirred up inside of her, it had been a feeling she hadn’t experienced for weeks, the magnetic feeling that always seems it follow ‘Elvis’.
It was only when she received a sharp kick to her shin by Lacy did y/n come back to the present moment. She had unknowingly been staring smart Elvis for goodness know how long. Her cheek were stained red in embarrassment.
To Y/N’s relief ‘Elvis’ didn’t say anything of the matter but that Doesn’t mean y/n didn’t spot the slight quirk of his lips.
Thankfully Lacy came to the rescue to save Y/N more embarrassment.
“That’s $10 please.”
Elvis handed over the paper bill and Lacy gave him a wrist band.
While this was happening y/n continued to look down at the floor begging for the ground to open and and swallow her whole.
Once Elvis had disappeared Lacy turned it y/n with a smirk and question.
“Please don’t.” Y/n begged.
“Well, I gotta give you props, he’s certainly handsome, let me tell you he’s got the whole-“
“Elvis look down to a spot.” Y/N Finished lacy’s sentence, yes she had already heard it before.
Everyone who met him compared his to the departed singer and the man didn’t even deny it, even with all these weeks that have passed.
Honestly….. y/n would not be surprised if some how it was acutely-
NO!
Her mind was not going there.
She will not even think about such a thing, and she most certainly hasn’t been spending her evening researching possible time travel theories and those who have experienced it.
Still there was a very cool theory that there were multiple universes and there were thousands of versions of yourself in these other universes, and when you experience déjà vu your actually linking with another version of yourself that has already done the task, anyway she was getting of topic it say’s that if two different universes crossed each-other and you were somehow able to link with the other universe’s wave length in the nanosecond timeframe then hypothetically you could end up in that universe, at least that’s what y/n thought it meant, all those words were big sciency words that only smart people understood.
By the time Y/N was finally allowed it leave the ticket booth the fair was already in full swing, Manoeuvring around the large crowds y/n went in Search of her family, hopefully they had saved her some food.
Yet she wouldn’t see her family for the rest of the night, and it would be after y/N’s entire world would get shifted on its side.
“Y/N!”
Y/n looked to where her name had been called from, and was able to spot pastor John waving at her.
“Evening Pastor.”
“And to you y/n, I was hoping you could do me a favour.”
“Anything.“
“I have to relive the old tank , but I can’t leave the stall unattended, would you be a dear and man it until I get back.”
“No problem.”
“Thank you.” Pastor John hurried away from the stall leaving y/n standing by it.
“Looks like we will be spending time together after all doll.”
Damnit!
How could she of forgotten he was also working at the church stall.
“Hey.” Y/M tried to sound nonchalant, like she had completely embarrassed herself earlier.
‘Elvis’ was leaning against the table with his arms crossed and grinning.
“I didn’t get to tell you earlier, but I must say you look just like a magnolia in May.” ‘Elvis’ spoke in the southern drawl y/n had come to like.
“Thanks, you look nice too.” She wasn’t even lying. “So how have you been, I know we haven’t had a chance to speak since you first arrived at the church.”
“It’s been swell doll, the folks there are real nice and have treated me well, I’m currently doing some work for the church mainly filing and bookkeeping but it keep me busy plus there even given me some money, what about yourself.
Y/N shrugged her shoulders.
“Oh you know, bartending mostly I’ve been dining overtime.”
Y/n did know what else to say, she didn’t have the money for hobbies and she didn’t have time for friends.
If he was out of with her short answer, Elvis didn’t comment instead he simply held out a mason jug with what looked like ice tea.
“I just got some ice tea but I don’t think I can drink it all by myself, would you like some?”
Well her throat was a bit parched.
“Sure thanks.”
She reached out to grab the offered glass.
Yet the moment their skin touched something happened.
It was as if electric was running throughout your body, then as soon as it was there it was gone, only to be replaced with memories that assaulted your brain. Yet they weren’t your memories.
A little boy running through the streets Tupelo, Mississippi.
A Ten year old Elvis standing on a chair with a microphone singing "Old Shep".
Elvis singing at Sun Studio
Singing for the firts time at Louisiana Hayride.
Preforming on The Milton Berle Show and the Steve Allen show.
Elvis shooting his first movie, “Love Me Tender,”
Elvis buying Graceland mansion
Elvis receiving his draft notice.
Elvis marrying Pricilla
Birth of Lisa-Marie Presley
Elvis preforming his comeback special.
Elvis laying in bed and then waking up In The woods.
The overload of memories come to an end.
The mason glass falls from y/N’s hand and lands on the ground spilling ice tea everywhere.
“Y/n?” Hands gently grasp her, forcing her back to the present.
Elvis is in front of her looking worried.
“Elvis.” Y/n breaths out.
Elvis gave y/n a crooked grind
“That’s me doll.”
It really was……. I mean how…….. why…… just……… I mean…….
Holy Shit! She almost killed THE Elvis Presley.
Y/n knew she probably want making much sense to the man if it go of her right now but y/n was badly making sense of herself right now.
“Your really him….. aren’t you.”
By now Elvis realised that Y/N had finally caught in to what he had been saying because his posture stiffens and an apprehensive look appears on his face, like he’s waiting for y/n to start screaming or running.
Perhaps that’s exactly what she should of done, instead she could only utter one word.
“Hi.”

We’ve lost one bright star today. Lisa-Marie I don’t know how to express my sadness. I pray for you and your family. I hope you will be reunited with your beloved father and son, and will spend the rest of eternity looking down at us. Rest in peace sweet Lisa-Marie.

Chapter 5: Advice from a Friend.
The next morning Y/N had woken up before the morning traffic, making sure to be as silent as possible mindful of the sleeping lump on her couch Y/N quickly and quietly dressed in a hoodie and some leggings before grabbing her essentials and existing the apartment building.
She was eager to get away from ‘Elvis’ and get her thoughts sorted.
Bedside’s it’s not like she had anything worth stealing in her apartment, she already had her laptop and camera with her as well as her handbag with her keys, wallet and phone in.
Besides, she had promised to meet Katie at their usual coffee shop, before her best friend had to go to work.
Katie had sent Y/N some pictures that she had needed editing, y/n was going to show her the finished project.
Since it was still early in the morning there were only a few patrons in the usually busy coffee shop.
Taking a seat in the booth y/n was quickly to set up her laptop whilst ordering herself a cappuccino and a beagle.
She didn’t have to wait long, a girl with familiar red hair walked into the coffee shop and began looking around. Y/N raised her hand and gently waved catching Katie’s attention who quickly joined y/n in the booth.
Both women hugged and exchanged pleasantries.
“Hi, it’s good to see you. It feels like forever since we last hung out in person.”
“I know, I know. But we’re both just soo busy lately, but we should definitely go out soon.”
“Did you order anything yet?”
“Yes, and I also put in an order of chai tea and a blueberry muffin for you.”
“Thanks.”
Both women got comfortable on the booth and focused their attention on the laptop screen where displayed were a selection of images of Katie looking to be based in a sunflower field.
“So are these them then?”
“Yes, I was able to adjust the brightness and make the yellow of the sunflowers pop, I also did a-bit of spot healing”
“It’s perfect, thank you. How much do I own you?”
“Let’s say 150.”
“That’s reasonable, I’ll transfer the money when I get tonight, so how have you been.” Katie’s asked while the barista delivered their did and drinks.
Y/N took a sip of the hot drink and casually shrugged her shoulders.
“I’ve been fine, nothing new.”
“Really?” Katie raised an amused eyebrow that put Y/N on edge.
“Yes.” Y/N replied back defensively
After taking a bite of her muffin Katie flashed Y/N a cheeky grin.
“Well I heard from a little birdie you may have an additional tag along.” Her shit eating grin made Y/N nervous.
“And what have you heard exactly?”
“Well you were spotted yesterday entering your building in the company of a gentlemen, care with elaborate.”
Damnit why did Y/N think anything in the town would remain secret.
“Yes Katie alright, I did have someone stay the night.”
Katie grinned.
“Y/F/N are you telling me that you’ve been keeping a boyfriend from your best-friend, that goes against the code of girlfriends.”
“He’s not my boyfriend!”
“Y/F/N you shady lady, this is a momentous occasion! Your first one night stand.”
“I didn’t sleep with him.”
It was Katie’s turn to be confused now.
“I’m sorry what.”
“I’m not sleeping with him and he’s not my boyfriend.”
Y/N proceeded to catch her friend up on the event of the last few weeks, from first meeting ‘Elvis’, it the hospital, to bumping into him in the streets and finally letting him spend the night.
All the while Katie was listening to Y/N with rapt attention, afterwards y/N May had expected some wise words or comfort from her friend, she however was not expecting the smack up the back of her head.
“Ow! WHat was that for.”
“Y/F/N you are not telling me you let a random stranger into your house! Let alone invite him to stay the night! Are you crazy! Have you lost all common sense! Don’t you ever watch Horror movie’s! You never ever let a stranger man sleep in your apartment, especially in the same room! For all you know this guy who clearly has issues if he believes he’s Elvis could be a rapist or murderer!”
“He’s not like that!” Y/N tried to protest on her houseguests behalf.
“How do you know, where is he now?”
“I left before he woke up.”
Katie looked bewildered and out her hands up.
“Are you telling me you have left a stranger in your apartment.”
Y/N kept her silence.
“That’s it! You’ve got to get rid of him and then get your locks changed.”
“Where is he going to go? He doesn’t have Anyone or anything, he’s all alone.”
Why couldn’t her friend see that.
Katie seems to be in deep thought for a moment before letting out a sigh.
“Okay listen, my uncle is the pastor for the church you already know this. I will give him a call and see if they have any room for this Elvis guy on their program.”
Their local church ran an outreach program. Basically it was a sort of halfway house for prison inmates or sometimes even a few local homeless victims. The idea of the program was to help people get back on their feet and reitergrate into society.
You were given a room and board and even a couple of outfits that were donated, the only requirement was that you started looking for employment or you began helping at the church.
“Really? You’d do this for me?”
“If it gets him out of your apartment then yes.”
Unable to help herself Y/N reached across and hugged Katie tightly.
“Thank you! I owe you big time.”
“Yes, you do.”
Both women didn’t stay around long after that chat, but Y/N began walking back to her apartment with a much chipper step.
When she arrived home she found ‘Elvis’ awake and siting on her sofa.
“Hey.”
“Hello.” Y/N kicked off her shoe’s.
“You weren’t here this morning.”
“No, I had to meet up with a friend.”
Speaking of said friend her phone began to buzz, Y/N looked down.
He’s got a place, bring him down to the church this afternoon, my uncle will be waiting.❤️ K.
Elation consumed Y/N and she was quick to pass on the good news.
“So Elvis I’ve got some good news for you. I visited a friend this morning and she happens to have an uncle that runs a halfway program, and she’s been able to get you a spot on it.” Y/N had expect to see relief or at least gratitude, instead ‘Elvis’ just continued to look at Y/N perplexed.
“Do you know what this means?”
Biting his lip Elvis gently shook his head.
“Not a clue doll.”
“You’re no longer homeless, you have a room waiting for you and people that are going to help you.”
Surprise flittered over his soft face.
“So… I’m not going back to the streets.”
“No”
Finally ‘Elvis’s’ delegate face began to beam, shooting up of the couch he pulled a surprised Y/N into his arms.
Y/N could help but laugh as she was swung about.
“Doll, I don’t know what to say. Thank you. No that doesn’t cover it, I…I…” suddenly Elvis’s palms gently cupped her face.
Y/N had no choice but to stare into two beautiful ice blue eyes.
“Thank you.” Was whispered again her lips before they were encased with Elvis’s larger and firmer one’s.
Butterfly’s filled her stomach and her heart seemed to flutter, however the moment was quickly over and Elvis’s lips left her’s.
“Thank you.”

A/N: So here we are first post if 2023! I just want to say thank you, I didn’t expect to receive the reception I have received from this story, it goes be me motivation to keep coming up with more chapters.
Chapter 4: An accidental peek
Y/N gently put the keys in her door and with a few successful turns there was a click and Y/N twisted the knob letting her apartment door open with a creek.
Y//N stood to the side and gestured with her hand to ‘Elvis’
“Welcome to casa Y//N.”
She let Elvis walk through the frame trying not to breath in his dirty and smelly body.
Yep, he definitely needed a wash.
Walking in behind him y/n shut the door and then turned to watch Elvis as he took in her apartment.
Well, apartment was an overstatement.
More like 300sf that held a small double bed pushed against the furthest wall near a window right next to it was a small wardrobe , a small two person couch opposite the bed and next to that a small table pushed into a corner that had two chairs, there was a small kitchen attached and by small y/n was not exaggerating, it held a fridge, a sink and a cooker and a few shelves for storage that was it. At least the bathroom was private and it was big enough for a toilet, sink and small shower.
Since Y/N hadn’t been expecting company when she had left this morning, there was a half Finished bowl of Fruit loops on the small table And a cold cup of coffee. There were still dishes in the sink and her laptop was on the bed. She had clothes on the floor that needed to be taken to the washing machine downstairs.
“I know it’s not much, but it’s home.”
‘Elvis’ looked around before turning to look at her with his familiar grin.
“Believe me darlin, Considering I have been using public restrooms and sleeping on benches for the past few weeks, this little place you got here is like a palace.”
While he did have a point, Y/N couldn’t help the Redness that covered her S/C skin. Her small studio wasn’t exactly a place one would consider a palace.
‘Elvis’ and Y/N continued staring at each other neither saying a word, that was until a bang on the wall startled them both.
“What in lord almighty was that?” ‘Elvis’ looked from Y/N to the wall wearily, obviously waiting for an explanation.
“That will be my neighbour, Jackson.”
‘Elvis’ was obviously still alarmed not that Y/N blamed him.
“Jackson is a mechanic yet in his spare time he competes in Amateur boxing, so every afternoon Jackson practices with his punching bag, we have thin wall here.”
Y/N didn’t say anymore but went to her wardrobe and began rummaging through the bottom until she found what she was looking for.
After a while she returned to ‘Elvis’ only this time with a dark purple towel in her hands.
“Here take this, the shower is just through that door, I hope you don’t mind Jasmin scented body wash, you can use my shampoo and conditioner if you like. I think I have a spare toothbrush in the cupboard under the sink it has an orange handle.” Y/N pointed to the door after placing the towel into ‘Elvis.’ Dirty hands.
“I don’t mind at all doll, I’d just be happy with getting to have a shower, seriously I really appreciate this and I’m just disappointed that I can’t give you anything to display my gratitude.”
Y/N rolled her eye’s in good nature before pointing to the door.
“Well you can repay me by getting your butt in that shower, not to be rude but right now you are stinking up my space.”
‘Elvis’ grinned and then walked into the bathroom making. Sure to shut the door behind him.
It was only them did Y/N let out a small breath that she hadn’t realised she had been holding on to.
Damn that man.
It was only then she heard the familiar running of the shower did Y/N finally snap out of her stupor, Elvis needed something to wear.
She was pretty sure she still had an old bag of Mason’s hanging around under the bed.
Mason Harding was not someone Y/N like to think about, that man didn’t deserve her thoughts.
It was your typical Romance gone wrong.
Y/N and Mason had met through a mutual friend, it had been an instant attraction. Coffee date’s here and there for a while before they officially started dating.
The first few months it had been nothing but smooth sailing, both were besotted with each-other and seemed it be the perfect match, It seems to good to be true, and Y/N would soon find out the hard way.
It was small things at first, coins were disappearing from her purse but Y/N didn’t pay it much thought they had probably just fallen out into her bag, after that dollar bills were starting to disappear by now Y/N was starting to get suspicious but all her friends and family had denied ever taking money from her and Mason was insulted that she would even think of asking him such a question, The worst of all was the day that Y/N had gone into the bank to cash in her pay check and to take some from her savings, only to face the horrible realisation that her savings account had been cleared of all its content’s, money she had received from her photography gigs, money from her parents and from other odd jobs she had done throughout the years gone.
A formal investigation was opened and they discovered that apparently she had transferred $7000 using her card into a private account.
The culprit was none other than Mason.
Boy had that been a real kick in the teeth, this guy that she thought to be the perfect man, the guy she had introduced to her family and had spent Holidays together had been robbing her blind for months.
Mason was arrested and charged with multiple cases of fraud and theft, turned out Y/N was just another in the long list of women that had been screwed over by this guy.
Y/N pushed those memories of her less that steller dating history to the back of her mind for another day. Just as she had thought underneath her bed and pushed right to the back gathering dust was an old sports bag. It took a effort to reach it since Y/N had to miniver between boxes and other items of junk.
Finally she grasped the handle and gave a sharp tug pulling the bag from underneath the bed.
Pulling the zip back Y/N reached in and pulled out a pair of sweats and a old worn out AC/DC top, It turned out she was in luck, Mason had kept a brand new pair of boxer briefs that had yet to be used at the bottom of the bar along with some socks.
They might be a little big on ‘Elvis.’ But it would do for now.
Holding the folded clothes in her hands Y/N cautiously walked over to the door and knocked.
“Elvis?”
She didn’t receive a response.
Knocking a little louder Y/N called his name louder.
“Elvis!”
Still no response.
Ever so slowly Y/M pushed the door handle down and gently opens the door letting steam seap through the opening.
Her while bathroom was steamed up, yet that wasn’t what captured her attention.
‘Elvis’ while getting in the shower had seemed to of forgone the custom of pulling the shower curtain.
So while standing gobsmacked In the doorway of her bathroom while holding a pile of clothes Y/N got a full view of ‘Elvis’s’ bare rear end.
‘Elvis’ who had noticed to sudden drop in temperature briefly turned around curious, how ever that curiously soon turned to mortification when he laid eyes on the unexpected intruder.
There was a brief moment of shocked silence before the comotion started up.
Y/N quickly closed her eyes and elves quickly pulled the curtain around him.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry! I tried knocking but you didn’t hear so I thought I’d leave these by the toilet but I didn’t expect…. I mean….. I’m sorry.” She stuttered out and quickly turned to face the opposite direction but not before letting the clothes drop to the floor and hurtling out of the bathroom once more.
Flopping into her bed Y/N let her eyes shut, despite her best attempts Y/N could not seem to get the imagine of the nude man out of her mind.
Despite being slightly underweight it hadn’t seemed to of taken away any appeal. Just remembering the droplets of water running over those shoulder blades and down his toned back….. well it was certainly an image Y/N would keep for special occasions, let’s not even mention his firm cheeks.
Damnit….. there was a familiar tingling in her stomach.
No!
Y/N wasn’t going to go there.
So to distract herself she heaved herself from the bed and walked towards her refrigerator.
Pulling back the handle she peered inside to look at the contents of her fridge.
Well shoot, after all the commotion of today Y/N hadn’t of been able to get all her chores done, one of them had been to visit the grocery shop.
All that Y/N had to offer was half a carton of milk, a block of cheese, a jar of pickles and what looked to be a half eaten carrot.
She closed the fridge and tried her luck in the cupboards, let see she had a box of crackers, a box of fruit loops, some stale bread, a tin of tuna, a bottle of hot sauce and a boxed Mac and cheese.
Not exactly a very healthy meal to serve to her guest.
But what could she do.
So Y/N grabbed the box of Mac and cheese and the carton of milk as well as a clean pot from the cupboard.
10 minutes later Mac and cheese was cooking on the stove while Y/N added a few pieces of the cheese in her fridge and her secret ingredient a small dab of hot sauce.
If Y/N hadn’t of been so focused on the stove she may of heard the bathroom door open and close.
It was only when a throat cleared from behind her did Y/N finally pull her attention away from the stove.
‘Elvis’ was standing behind her freshly washed and a right better sight from how he had been when Y/N had first seen him, his dark hair lay flat again his head and his borrowed clothes made him seem almost like a new person.
To Y/N great relief, her guest hadn’t yet brought up what happens in the bathroom, he just continued to smile and stare.
“Mac and cheese, I hope that alright.”
“Sounds like heaven doll.”
With a large spoon Y/N scooped the thick and slight lumpy mixture into a plastic bowl and handed it to ‘Elvis’ before making one for herself.
That’s how both found themselves siting at her small table eating boxed Mac and cheese silently, neither knew what to say.
That was until ‘Elvis’ spoke again.
“It May be because this is the first hot meal I’ve had in god knows how long, but this is probably the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted in my life.”
Y/N really shouldn’t feel the way she was, all she had done was heat up some packet contents and added milk and cheese but still his praise caused tingles to shoot up her back.
“Well I’m glad it’s up to your expectations, I’ve not Cooked for anyone In quite some time.”
Elvis hummed before taking a sip of water Y/N had provided for him.
The sun outside had already disappeared into night but that wasn’t the main concern of Y/N’s, it would seem Mother Nature was not yet satisfied for once more the sky’s had opened up and rain was descending.
Sooner than Y/N May of liked the Mac and cheese had been eaten and the bowls were empty.
There was no reason for ‘Elvis’ to stay anymore.
‘Elvis’ too had realised this.
A resigned and tried look came over him and he ran a hand through his bow dry hair.
“I best be making tracks, i still need to find someplace to stay.”
Technically speaking he was right and Y/N knew it as well.
But…. What type of Person would she be if she allowed anyone to be out in this weather, her mother had always drilled into her and her sibling the importance of giving back and something about karma, Y/N hadn’t really listened at the time.
“Elvis wait, you shouldn’t be out in this, you may find yourself in hospital again, you can stay on my couch for tonight and then find something else in the morning.”
Y/N didn’t stick around long enough to see ‘Elvis’s’ reaction, instead she reaching into her wardrobe again to search for a spare blanket all the while scolding herself and wondering where all her self preservation had gone.
She had invited a virtual stranger into her home and Is going to let him sleep on a couch that was mere meters away from her bed.
There was being nice and then there was being reckless.
With her mind made up Y/N Geared herself up to inform ‘Elvis’ that unfortunately he would have to seek accommodation elsewhere, yet words seems to die in her throat the moment she turned around.
‘Elvis’ had already passed out on her couch.
Wow, he really must of been exhausted, Y/N’s couch was not very comfortable at all, it was stiff and it’s springs were broken.
Yet ‘Elvis’ didn’t seem to mind, if the peaceful expression on his face was anything to go by.
Daring herself to walk a little closer, Y/N allowed herself to stare at the sleeping man on her couch.
The stress lines that Y/N was used to seeing were almost non-existent, dare Y/N admit he looked cute.
Y/N had to stop herself from reaching out and tracing her fingers gently over the features of his face.
God Dammit.
Gently as possible Y/N laid a blanket over the sleeping body and smiled before gently whispering to the unconscious man.
“Sweet dream, Elvis.”

A/N: well this is the last update until the New year! So let’s leave 2022 with a bang.
Tumblr media
Chapter 3: The Handsome Hobo
A few weeks had passed since the incident and it had all but disappeared from Y/Ns mind, why should she focus on that one thing when she already had so many other distractions.
Her life had been a non stop rollercoaster since the moment she left the Hospital, first of all Y/N had bills that had to be paid and was having to do overtime at the bar just to stay afloat.
Y/N was a budding Photographer, her main area of interest was photojournalism. Y/N loved capturing people in the moment when they weren’t focused on looking perfect for the camera. Her interest had started when she was only a little girl and her father would let her use an old film camera they owned, it wasn’t uncommon to see her carrying the camera with her wherever she went. So for her 13th Birthday her parents had surprised her with her very own digital camera and ever since then Y/N knew she wanted to Be a professional photographer. Well that was easier said than done.
Y/N had set up her own website and regularly added new pieces she had done, but as of yet she hadn’t had any serious biters, sure she would have a buyer every couple of months that would purchases a few pieces but that’s was very far and few between, she had done some wedding photography for people she knew which had given her a little extra Cash, but it still wasn’t enough to keep a roof over her head or gas in a car.
So during the day she was bartending at her local bar, 6 days a well she worked the day and night shifts serving beer and chicken wings with a boss named Dale always looking over her shoulder. Dale was sleazy with not only his employees wages but also with how he treated Y/N and the other female employees.
Dale hadn’t been one to keep his views on women to himself, in his mind women were only good for two things serving beer and looking pretty.
It was no wonder they had a turn over of so many employees quitting.
Still she was not going to think about that today, it was Melissa’s bridal fitting today and she had invited Most of the women in the family to attend.
So squished together on a set of sofas in the small bridal boutique in town was, Y/N, her mother Pam, Melissa’s mother Cheryl, Y/N’s grandmother, Rachel Y/Ns older sister, Miquel Y/N’s sister-in-law, Candace Y/Ns other sister-in-law, Rosie who was Melissa’s sister and maid of honour, not to mention Tiffany, Lilly, Carly & Jennifer as bridesmaids.
Currently they were all watching Melissa who was standing in front of the mirrors as the seamstress was making adjustments to her dress.
With the wedding only a few months away everyone was busy making the finals preparations that needed it be done.
“So what do you guys think?”
With the wedding taking place on the first week in December Melissa and Y/N’s brother Joshua were planning to get married at their local community centre. With both Melissa and Joshua working on minimum wage not to mention the cost of raising two children and paying bill’s their wedding had to take a back burner, family and friends had offered to contribute to the day but both Melissa and Joshua were too proud to accept any type of money.
“You look beautiful.”
Everyone agreed with Cheryl’s statement.
The one thing Y/N’s and Melissa’s family had refused to budget on was Melissa’s dress, they were all contributing to make sure that Melissa was able to get her dream dress.
“I’m just worried, the top still feels a little loose.”Melissa spoke while running very hands over the satin bodice of the dress.
Y/N pursed her lips before offering her own wisdom.
“Well once it’s been taken in it should be okay.”
Melissa returned Y/N’s comforting words with a nervous grin.
Not much happened after that, and the appointment went along smoothly, the bridesmaid dresses were already out for deliver so they would be arriving in a few day’s. With the appointment over everyone began to disburse, Pam had offered to buy lunch for everyone however Y/N had to unfortunately decline, so as her family member’s walked towards the town square Y/N went in the other direction.
She had it get to Sal’s before it shut, her roof was leaking again and she was running out of buckets to use. She had already complained to the landlord but he was as useful as a brick.
So it was up to her to fix the problem herself, at least temporarily. But obviously the universe likie to mess with her, drops of rain were beginning to fall.
Oh, that was just great.
She hadn’t thought to bring an umbrella, and the rain was getting faster and more intense. Y/N desperately looked around for some sheets when she spotted an awning that was in front of a shop.
With her shoes and socks drenched Y/N rushed towards the shelter.
Once she was safely under it Y/N let out a breath, only a few moments ago it was clear and now look at it.
The rain was so intense you would be lucky if you could see 5 feet in front of you.
“Raining like cat and dogs ain’t it.”
“You can say that.” Y/N looked to her left and almost gave a yelp.
Seriously?
It was him.
The Elvis guy.
Except this guy looked haggard. There was no other words he could say.
His dark hair was lying flat against his head and looked greasy, he was wearing the same clothes as when she had first met him but they now looked like they belonged in the bin. Hole’s and stains littered the once silky fabric, the Elvis man himself wasn’t looking much better, his once smooth skin was dirty and fresh grazes lined his face. Y/N wasn’t even Going to comment on the smell.
“Elvis?”
‘Elvis’looked up from where we was resting on the floor with hope.
“You know me.” The hope and elation was clear as day, it almost made Y/N’s heart Give a tug.
“It Y/N, the women from the hospital.”
For a brief moment disappointment appeared before it was quickly covered with a grin.
“Well I didn’t think I’d see you again doll.”
There was that voice again, the voice Y/N couldn’t stop thinking about. Even till this day it sent shivers up her spine.
“Me neither, what are you doing here?”
From the state of his Y/N had an idea yet she didn’t want to say it out loud, for what it implied made her feel Sick.
“Well doll, I was tryin ta find some cover and plan my next move.”
Since it didn’t look like the rain was going to stop anything soon and her legs were beginning to ache Y/N took a seat on the cold and concrete floor next to ‘Elvis’
“What do you think that will be?”
‘Elvis’ shrugged his shoulders.
“Well the park is out, I was told by the cops that if I returned there they would arrest me, i tried a local shelter but they were already full so I’m debating on a bench at the train station or in the alleyway behind this shop.”
Her suspicions had been proven correct.
Tears filled her eye’s, it was almost surreal, she barely knew this man yet here she was shedding tears over him.
“What happened Elvis?”
“I got discharged and was left on my own after that, I had a bit of change in my pocket and was able to find a pay phone, I began callin people, but it was hopeless. I couldn’t get hold of anyone and I now know why. Honestly at first I didn’t Believe it, I mean it was impossible you already read about it in comics and books but ya never think you’ll actually get to experience it.”
“Experience what?”
‘Elvis’ quirked his lips and eyebrows before answering.
“Time travel.”
I’m sorry what?
This should of given Y/N enough motivation to run for the hills.
Here was a guy claiming to if time traveled, it was ludicrous.
Y/N let ‘Elvis’ continue speaking.
“It makes sense, I go to sleep in my own bed and next thing I know I’m walking in some woods and in a hospital with doctors and nurses with strange electronic items and none of my phone numbers are working.”
Y/N should definitely be leaving now, no one would blame her.
But yet she stayed.
“So your a time travels?”
‘Elvis’ let and a laugh and looked down before once again look at Y/N.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying, I know you I must think me crazier than a road lizard.”
Something like that.
The rain had finally turned to a light drizzle, enough that you could safely walk in it.
‘Elvis’ too had noticed.
“Well I best be gettin a move on.”
‘Elvis’ stood up and began brushing of his dirty trousers but it didn’t make much difference.
Y/N too got up.
“It was real nice talkin to ya once more, it’s nice to actually speak to someone who didn’t look at me with disgust or unease.” The resigned smiled ‘Elvis’ have was almost enough to shatter Y/N’s heart right there and them.
‘Elvis’ began to walk away.
“Wait!” Y/N called out, making ‘Elvis’ stop in his tracks and turns to face her.
“Let me take you to my place. The least I can do is offer you a hot meal and a shower after hiting you with my car.”
The bashful smile on his face was probably the most adorable thing she had ever seen.
“Please, I don’t want to intrude.”
“I want to.”
“Alright then, please lead the way.”
Y/N beckoned ‘Elvis’ to follow her all the while thinking to herself what the hell hd she gotten into.

Colliding Hearts
Chapter 2: why is it always the crazy men?
Tumblr media
It had been a few days since the accident and it was pretty much radio silence.
Y/N really hoped that meant that the cops weren’t gonna come busting through her door and arrest her.
Y/N should feel relieved, yet she wasn’t.
Every hour or every day Y/N was plagued it’s images of the crash and the limp body of the man laying on the wet gravel.
Was he okay?
Was he being treated right?
Still Y/N had tried to push these thoughts to the back of her mind, really she had tried but it was of no use. The uncertainty was starting to go over into her work, today she had already mixed up two drink orders.
So Y/N had decided she was gonna go over to he hospital, at the very least it would ease her questions and hopefully get her to stop thinking about him.
Providence Medford Medical Center, was thankfully very quiet this evening, only a few patients siting in the waiting room, turns out she was in luck tonight.
Melissa was on duty.
Melissa was engaged to Y/N’s older brother Joshua, they were set to get married in December of this year.
Melissa was easy enough to spot out, with her light pink hair. She was sat behind the reception desk.
Melissa had also noticed her.
“Y/N, fancy seeing your here. You’ve not given yourself food poisoning again have you?”
“No not this time, actually I was wondering if perhaps you would be willing to do me a favour.”
Y/N could see she had piped Melissa’s curiosity because she abandoned her files gave Y/N her full attention.
“I was wondering if perhaps you could tell me about the gay that was brought in 3 nights ago.” Placing a delicate smile and Batting her eyes, Y/N asked Melissa nicely.
“I’m sorry, you know the rules. Unless your next of kin I’m not allowed to disclose such information.”
“Please, I’ll make it worth your while. How about for the next month I will babysit the twins for no favours.”
Y/N could tell she was weighing Melissa down.
Her nephews were not the best behaved kids.
Finally Malissa let out a defeated sigh.
“Make it two months.”
“Deal.”
Melissa grabbed a file from a cabinet and pulled out the relevant information.
“Alright let’s see, patient John Doe was admitted it is at around 11:30 three night ago with several broken ribs and a concussion, he came into full awareness yesterday afternoon.”
“John Doe that’s an unusual name.”
“Well it’s sort of like a name that’s given to every person who had not been identified.”
“But if he’s awake, surly he could of given you his real name.”
Melissa looked around before leaning in.
“See that’s the thing, we did ask for his name, but obviously he’s suffering from some form of brain injury, because he said his name was Elvis, Elvis Presley.”
Unable to help herself Y/N let out a mix between a laugh and a cough.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah, So far they’ve not been able to find any injury, the CAT scans were all clear, but let me tell you this guy is persistent. Some are beginning to wonder if perhaps he’s one of those cos players, or impersonator’s. Because this guy whoever he is, hasn’t changed his story one bit.”
“Wow.”
“Tell me about it, anyway he’s set to be released tomorrow, since there is nothing physically wrong with him, and doctors are starting to get frustrated.”
They were letting him go?
“Surely a man who believes himself to be Elvis Presley needs a full evaluation.”
“I would agree, but unless he’s a physical danger to himself or Those around him there’s nothing we can do, so far he’s shown no harmful tendencies. He’s just a very confused man or a huge Elvis Presley fan, I can see that being the case but let me tell you he is obviously very extreme, I mean his hair, his voice even his looks, they could pass for twins.”
“Who’s twin?” Y/N was curious.
“Elvis.”
Y/N now knew Melissa must be pulling her leg.
“Don’t take the piss.”
“I swear it, look.” Malissa grabbed her phone and help up a picture for Elvis Presley on stage in black and white picture playing a guitar, she then swipe right to show a picture of Elvis siting in a hospital bed, a little bruised up and wearing a annoyed look on his face….. wait that wasn’t Elvis, geez Melissa wasn’t kidding, they really couldn’t of been twins.
“Has there been any family member that have come toward for him.”
“No, and we have tried to find any relatives, but every name he gave us was just another “person” that Elvis was friends with. You know the Colonel, Priscilla, Vernon, red west, gene, Billy, so many names.”
“The Memphis Mafia.” Y/N finished.
“He even gave us “numbers” we thought that maybe he used third names for his family, but when we called, there was nothing. Either the phone number wasn’t recognised or it was no longer in service.”
Y/N and Malissa both shared the same pitying look, it was starting to look like this guy was all alone, if at least very delirious.
“In the doctors mind there is nothing else we can do for him, he would of been dismissed by now, but I was able to convince them to keep him here one more night but bottom line is, he’s hoarding a hospital bed, a bed that someone else may need.”
Poor guy, Y/N mused.
This Elvis or whoever he was clearly needed help. Well now that she knew that she should leave. I mean it wasn’t really her mess. The smart thing to do would be to walk away.
“Can I see him?”
Damnit.
Melissa bit her lip but then like dot the clock.
“I really shouldn’t, it’s Completely against hospital protocol.” Disappointment surged through Y/N like a tidal wave. “So you better make it quick.”
Melissa gestured Y/N to follow her through the wooden doors.
“Dr marcel is currently on with another patient he won’t be back to check on this guy for another 10 minutes.”
Melissa took Y/N to a numbers door.
“This is him.”
Melissa didn’t stick around, she instead rushed back to the desk.
Gently as possible Y/N opened the door and poked her head in.
There he was.
Finally Y/N was able to take a good look at the man without him being drenched and covered with dirt. Wow, I mean Melissa had warned her but just looking at this guy…..
Elvis 2.0 here.
Well litterly if you wanted to believe the guy.
Bronze tan that on most would seem tacky only Enhanced him, thick eyebrows, beautiful dark hair that was shaped in the iconic quiff Elvis used to wear.
For a moment Y/N was at a loss of words until finally she let out a small greeting.
“Um..hello.“
To his credit whoever this guy was he didn’t seem uneasy as perhaps he would of been, you know with a literal stranger Stationed in his room.
“Evening doll.”
Even his voice.
Heavy yet it caressed you like honey, It was type of voice that soothed you and caressed you. A perfect baritone.
“You probably don’t remember me.”
The guy smiled brightly, shit even his teeth were perfect.
“I know who you are, you’re the pretty little darlin’ that hit me with her car.”
Oh crap.
“Right, we’ll just do you know I’m really sorry about that, I promise you it was not Intentional.”
It was not Intentional?
That’s the best she could some up with.
“Well I hope not, otherwise I’d be wondering what I did to twist this pretty lady’s frillies.”
Y/N was embarrassed to say but that voice was doing things to her she can’t say out loud.
Clearing her throat and trying to push those dangerous thoughts from her mind Y/N turned the conversation to other topics.
“Are they treating you right?”
“Their swell, it’d be better if i was able to use my name without getting strange looks.”
“Elvis right?”
Perhaps he was named after the singer, and his parents were just like really into the Elvis Presley.
“That’s me doll, I’ll be honest with ya, usually whenever I tell folks my name they give me a whole different greeting.”
Feeling more confident Y/N took a step closer.
“Really?”
“Screaming, crying, yellin my name, tryin ta grope me.”
He wasn’t letting this go, if Y/N didn’t know better she would say this was the real Elvis Presley. Of course she knew better, Presley was long dead and even if he was still alive todays he’s be an old man.
“Well your getting released tomorrow so that will be good right.“
“I’ll be honest with ya doll, I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone to pick me up, I don’t know what happened to my wallet to be honest I don’t even know how I ended up in the woods to begin with, hell I don’t even know how I ended up here, last thing I remember was falling asleep in my bed after preforming next thing ya know I’m stumbling through the woods.”
Maybe he was a victim of lacing, perhaps someone had spiked his drink with some weird new hallucinogenic drug that made you believe you were someone else.
Perhaps he had been so out of his mind that he had somehow perhaps boarded bus or even hitchhiked from another state.
But still Y/N wasn’t aware or any narcotics that were THAT powerful, besides it would do come up in the tox screens.
Y/N looked at the clock on the wall, her 10 minutes were almost up.
The smart thing to do is to walk away.
She had seen him, he was alright and by the looks of it wasn’t going to fess her up to the cops, she was home free.
Whatever this guys problem was, it had nothing to do with her.
“Well, I happy to see your okay, and I wish you luck and hope you are able to get in touch with whoever you need to.”
Y/N tried not to pay attention to the flicker of disappointment running through this man’s eyes.
“Your leaving?”
Damn that voice, how could two words fill her with guilt.
“Yes, the doctor will be back soon and technically I’m not supposed to be here.”
Masking his displeasure Elvis gave Y/N a bright smile.
“Well then darlin’, i don’t want to take up more of your time. Thank you for coming to visit me and whilst our meeting may not of been ideal I’m still glad to of met such a pretty young thing such as yourself.” His pearly whites shined as he grinned at Y/N and his eye’s took her in.
Despite her best attempt’s Y/N couldn’t stop the rushing blood to her cheeks.
“I’ll see you around.”
Probably not, Y/N doubted she would ever see this guy again.

Colliding hearts
Chapter 1: It started with a bang….Literally.
A/N: So I’m going to be starting a new series called Colliding hearts. I hope you like it.
Y/N Y/L/N had a bad habit of getting herself into unusual situations. You want an example?
When she was in kindergarten her entire class was set to go to the zoo. Y/N was so exited, somehow during the tour she had gotten separated from the group, chaperones and staff alike were searching throughout the zoo, turns out she had somehow manage to get herself into the monkey exhibit, that’s where the keepers found her, eating her snack.
Then there was the time she had gotten stuck in a window and had to be cut out by firefighters.
Or the time she Locked herself out of her apartment in nothing but her underwear.
Or the time she accidentally mistook her neighbour’s girlfriend for his daughter.
And the time before that….
Well you get it.
Yes Kayleigh always seemed to attract the unusual.
Yet this particular evening took the cake, and would officially be at the top of her list for unusual situations.
It had started late at night.
Y/N was just driving home from work, she works at a bar in the middle of her town. Medford was an okay town to live in, Y/N should know, she had pretty much live their her entire life, First with her parents and siblings in a neighbourhood In the town and then in a small apartment that she rented.
This particular evening it was stormy and heavy pain pelted on her car window, making visibility that was was already terrible even worse.
Still Y/N was driving perhaps a little faster than she should be in these conditions but hey she had had a pretty crappy shift, so sue her if she was what to get back to her apartment and snuggle under a blanket and soak her sore feet in warm water, maybe put on some trashy sitcoms while stuffing her face with reheated pizza.
Anyway the streets were usually quiet this time of night so Y/N knew she wouldn’t have to worry about another vehicle.
For a brief moment Y/N risked looking down-
BANG!
Y/Ns head shot up from where it had been looking at the dashboard, something hit the hood of her car before rolling off to the side.
What the!
Slamming her foot on the break, the car skidded to a stop. Unbuckling her seatbelt Y/N opened her door quickly and stepped out.
The rain was so intense now that She could barely see what was in front of her. But what she did see made the blood in her body run cold.
There was a lump laying in the middle of the road.
Oh shit.
Her feet were already running towards the lump before her Brain caught up with her.
The lump was breathing, and it wasn’t a lump….. it was a person.
Oh god!
“Sir?”
Not caring about the wet, Y/N fell to her knees bedside the person.
Well now she could definitely confirm it was a person, a male person.
With shaking hands Y/N took her phone out of her pocket and quickly dialled 911.
The operator was quick to answer.
“911 what’s your emergency?”
“Hi can you please send an ambulance to my location, there is a person laying in the middle of the road, looks like he was hit by a car.” Don’t judge her okay, the last thing she needed right now was to spend the night in jail.
“We have one in route, is the victim breathing?”
Bringing her ear close to his mouth Y/N listened intently before speaking on not the phone.
“Yes, it’s a little slow but it there.”
“Alright, now I’m gonna ask you to not touch the victim, and just stay until the paramedics arrive. But since we don’t know the extent to the injury’s please refrain from moving or jostling the victim this could cause problems.”
“Alright,thank you.”
After the operator had hung up,Y/N looks down at the unconscious man, quite a Handsome man if she were being honest.
There was something about his that seemed familiar, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it, Whoever he was Y/N doubted he was a local, she would of definitely remembered his face.
Perhaps several minutes pass before Y/N hears the familiar siren which is soon accompanied by flashing blue light.
Paramedics are quick to jump out and rush towards them.
They ask Y/N some questions but since she can’t answer most of them they quickly get on with their job.
They got the man onto a stretcher before loading him into the ambulance, all while Y/N leaned against her car hood watching it all unfold.
Why was it always her.
